The wonderful people at the Access PEI on Riverside Drive are so dedicated and organized, they make transactions smooth and are so very pleasant to speak to. Especially during these unprecedented times, they have really adapted and made it convenient for drivers to complete their transactions. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at this location to let them know that their hard work and kindness truly mean so much to their customers. While most of the employees are always very helpful, I find this place far too busy all the time. The size of the building is inadequate. Needs to be at least double in size or open another location in or near Charlottetown.

Typical - 1.5 hrs wait. Then I got inside and two people who came in after me were served first. Got what I came for.

IT'S always a wait in there.... It was a wait 30 years ago in a different circumstance. Staff was always friendly when I visited. The only one who was in a bad mood was me, for forking over registration moolah????

Friendly folks and staff... They should have an online reservation system so people don't need to stand outside early in the rain to get a spot.

Terrible customer service provided on call. The lady I spoke to on call was was very rude in booking appointments and giving information. It is not first time happening, and that’s why I am writing the review.

The Lady in the front desk/reception was very rude…This is the first time Iam having such a experience in access PEI .. She was confused frustrated and angry for no reason later on they realized its her mistake..

Expect delays during the Covid 19 restrictions. Staff are handing out pagers that work within the parking lot. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes on a Monday morning. When in the building things progress very quickly. Have patience.

They have their own rules or I think they are simply stupid. The reason I went there, they told me its not possible but at the access PEI in Summerside, I have my work done in just 10 minutes without any further documents.

My husband and I have visited 4 times to transfer our plates, Health Card, License from Ontario to PEI (I'm originally from the island) and pay property tax bill. I work 7am-4pm. I have come before opening. Got in with all required documentation, but one copy was electronic. They told me they don't accept electronic copies. I had to leave and get it professionally printed. I came back at lunch time and after waiting 1.5 hrs, had to leave and return to work. I returned on a Tuesday at 2:45pm. They instantly told me because it's Seniors day and almost an hour before closing, they can't take me. I came a 4th time at 1pm and the same thing, waited to get in. After an hour, I have to return to work. I've had to take time off without pay for each time I visited. After 4 tries, I give up. Was told by "Daniel" at the door, "nothing we can do but have you come earlier". After 4 tries and time without pay, I give up. Suggestion, perhaps have more then one location for the City of Charlottetown, provide more services online then you currently offer and get with the 21st century and allow for electronic copies. For an island, I would assume "paperless" would be the way to go. Clearly it's not. So much for saving the environment.

Busy location; should be revamped. There are some smart & friendly employees but the last two times I went I got the same clerk unfortunately: unfriendly, impatient,not knowledgeable and didn’t tell me what she needed nor where I should sign. Actually had to go back. Not impressed.

Access PEI now has a buzzer system! You're issued a buzzer when you arrive and then you are sent to wait in your car. I went at 830am and was finished by 930am. New system is efficient and you're able to stay warm and comfortable in your vehicle while you wait. Wait times are expected! Go early but be prepared to wait regardless of time of day.

Right now COVID19 measures make the wait very long. We arrived at 1:30pm on a Monday, stood in the sun for over an hour, and completed renewing my driver's license at 3:50pm. Just 10 minutes before closing. If you have to go there, go early, bring a chair, and sunscreen. Or an umbrella if its raining. Don't go in a storm. However, the people working are upbeat and friendly. They did their best to keep everyone informed, and move the line as quickly as they could. They also adhered to the COVID19 restrictions. I appreciated that the most.

Considering the situation we are in right now - DMV hours should be longer and not short. There should be access for people with disabilities and mobility challenges and illness where they can't stand in line-ups for hours. This is a huge and unnecessary disservice to the community.

Very well organized...just waited in car...til buzzer they gave me went off..then entered the building was given my number and waited for a couple minutes and then got my registration done by a very nice gentleman....who was fast efficient and friendly. Well done Access PEI!!

Overall with the employees they were really professional and definitely made me feel welcome. The only bad part is I have a bad back and pinched nerve in my hip, so standing for a long time outside in the lineup was very painful.

This place is a nightmare. Minimum 2 hour wait all the time. Very few windows opened for the amount of people looking for help. Very glad I don't have go back there this year. Sorry for the people who have to go there and the few who deal with customers.

I had renewed my registration online, when I received it I noticed there was an error. I called Access PEI and in less than ten minutes had the issue resolved. A new registration will be mailed out. No hassle. Great service.

Waited in line from 7:20- 7:45 for a staff member to come outside posting pink slips saying only seniors being served until 11:30. Wish I knew that before hand wasted time.

You have to write at least outside that we are not booking the road test appointment due to covid19 there are lots of the people who are waiting outside from 2..3 hours and when go in you said we are not taking road tests. Please write the things on board that you are doing or not and me and you both can save our time. Thanks

Pretty unbelievable this is the only office. Wait times are a joke and the staff is overworked. Unbelievable for anyplace else. Just normal on PEI where nothing changes. Except the population numbers.
