I am not a huge fan of writing reviews but i decided to make an exception because the services i received were exceptional. The instructor took his time to explain and write down the tips and the essential details of driving, which served as reference for revision because the class is packed with information. I will strongly advise you to sign up with these guys and enjoy a great customer service. He evaluate his students to understand their weaknesses and strengths, which i find is quite key to being able to make the most out of the class. He is quite charming and very interested in you being better than you were. He, not only walks you through the theories/rules/regulations but uses real life experience on the road to create the scenarios he painted in the class, which makes the learning process very efficient and effective - experiential learning. Thanks you so much for all you do. And yes, his rates are very affordable for people on budget, so there is no compromise.

Hamid is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. My first lesson with King Driving school was my first time ever driving a car and Hamid taught well, helped me remain calm and collected. That is why I’m so thankful to Mr. Hamid, I am a very nervous driver with no experience on the road but he taught me everything I needed to know and where I needed to focus. Good teacher and reasonable rates. Classroom portion was also very knowledgeable, would recommend finishing the classroom portion before you take your road test. His lessons are very personalized and fit every individual perfectly. I passed my road test on the first try after Package A which was only $499 plus GST. I didn't need any additional lessons, just one week of practice after the classes with my family and everything worked out great!

The written driving lessons were highly flexible since you can choose if you want to do it online or in class. Since the location of the in class session was far away from home, my instructor offered me if I wanted to pick online classes instead. It worked out greatly for me. My practical driving experience with my instructor was outstanding, as he taught me in an understanding and organized fashion. I never had any troubles setting up a driving appointment with him even though I had a busy schedule. He was always punctual in our appointments as well. In the end, I highly recommend this driving school even for beginners.

I honestly don't love writing reviews. And I can only muster up the courage when I am extremely pleased or displeased. I can say that Hamid is a patient and kind person that I very much enjoy receiving instruction from. I completed his "class a" package before my class 5 GDL license. He helped build on top of the knowledge passed on by family lessons, as well as correcting bad driving behaviour. He also helped me with a touch up lesson before my advanced driving test. Both times he was calm and courteous (as well as extremely knowledgeable). I would recommend this driving school to anyone!

He is very fast on the instructor brake in case of any student oversight. This Hamid is unprofessional !!! He just want money, he does not deserve any star in this review, it should be zero. I was inquiring for my son's driving lessons, he was nice when he sent me the rate. Then he gave me the schedules which will supposedly start Aug 7, he then sent me a new schedule starting Aug 1 which I confirmed okay thru text. I also agreed to add $39 for online lecture instead of the 2 Saturdays lecture at NE. He asked me to e-transfer the full amount. I asked him if it's okay to pay half of it first since the actual class is not until Aug 1st , I said on the first day of actual driving lessons we will pay him in full. At first he did not agree he said he wants the money transferred before he send the link(he said the online lecture can be sent in advance). I told him if we can just go to his office to give the first half of payment instead of e-transfer since I am not comfortable transferring funds without seeing him in person and because we are just communicating on the phone and for us to get an official receipt as proof. All of a sudden he texted me " Please find someone else. I will not be available at all". Seriously?!!! just because I didn't agree to transfer the money without going to his office (apparently he does not have any office but it is his house address on the website). Of course I wanted to see him in person first and get a receipt before transferring money. With all the online scammers now a days, we just want to be sure. I replied to him ans said why all of a sudden he is not available?!!! Just because I didn't transfer him the money that night??!! I told him I will report him to BBB. With 20 years of driving experience I failed my road test and decided to take brush-up course with King Driving School. I’ve applied via website and received quick reply. Hamid, the driving instructor, scheduled an appointment for the next day. Hamid provided clear and detailed instructions on what to pay attention to during the road test. For example, slowing down and checking on the right at uncontrolled intersections. Two hour brush-up course was enough for me to successfully pass the road test. Thanks for good quality lesson!

THIS GUY ONLY WANTS MONEY AND LACKS INTEGRITY! 1.When I make appointment with him, I made it clear that I only want driving practice around the registry where I am gonna have my road test, it turned out there was another student in his car at the beginning of my course, so he let me drive his last student back home (TAKES ABOUT 40 MINS)before heading for my registry. I ended up spending less than 1 hour practicing around my registry! 2. My course is supposed to be 2-hour long, he only let me practice for 1 hour and 50 mins before picking up his next student! HE TRIES TO SAVE AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE HIS SCHEDULE AT THE SACRIFICE OF HIS STUDENTS! 3. HE IS VERY IMPATIENT WHEN GIVING INSTRUCTIONS! I am new to Calgary and I am not familiar with roads and routes, he kept yelling at me at the last 30 mins. Come on, I do not pay you to DISGUST me! 4. He tries to let me pay him by cash or check instead of E-transfer! He claimed that there is a problem with his e-transfer,but he instantly deposited the money I sent him! But what's the underlying reason? Anyone with basic tax knowledge understand that!

Hamid is very impatient and gives anxiety and stress to the new driver. What is the point of going to driving school and paying so much money if you expect the student to know how to drive already? I did the full insurance reduction course with him, took my exam, and failed as he did not explain the concepts in detail except yell at me and overcomplicate things. I did a brush up course with another driving school and passed my exam. Please do not do business with him.

I would highly recommend King driving school. Firstly it is much more affordable than most of the driving schools. Secondly, Hamid is very patient and will always repeat if you don't understand. He is very punctual too. So if he's picking you up at a certain time , he'll never be late. There are some reviews that say he is flexible if you cancel 15mins before your class but that isn't true.He needs at least 24 hours ahead of time otherwise does charge you. It is only fair because if you cancel last minute , he could be training someone else in that time slot instead of you. He shows you the area where the road test will be held. Which is great! And gives you a day between your last lesson and the road test so you can practise in the area on the day off. Would highly recommend Hamid and king driving school! :)
