I have been learning from him these past few weeks for my road test and I am happy to say that I took 5-6 lessons with him and passed the road test on my first try. The instructor is professional, teaches well and is very thoughtful for any questions or concerns. His teaching methods are great and easy to understand. He also amazing at breaking things down so that they are understandable and easy to comprehend. I would highly recommend him if anyone is trying to find a instructor to practice with for their upcoming test.

I passed the class 7 test on my first attempt after taking lessons with VNBC! I had absolutely zero driving experience when I started taking lessons with John, and he really helped me build my confidence, first driving on smaller residential streets and working up to busier roads. John was always punctual, communicated well via text, and he did his best to accommodate my schedule. He is a kind and patient teacher, and I always felt very safe driving with him. I appreciated that he tracked my progress every lesson, so we knew exactly what to work on next time. The instructor's car is a new model, clean, and well-maintained. I took the same car to my test, and it was a seamless experience. The pricing is also fair, and I did not regret taking extra lessons on top of the package on the days leading up to the test. I would not hesitate to recommend VNBC. Book the lessons way in advance because it can get booked very quickly. Thank you John!

John is a patient and calm instructor. He provides clear and detailed instructions and his explanations are thorough, and he doesn't mind repeating himself. I don't drive very often and wasn't very confident in taking my class 5 test, but 2 lessons with John helped to identify my weakness and work to fix them, like shoulder-checking and parking. John also told me what the class 5 test will contain and what I'll be tested on, and that really helped in reducing my anxiety. Thanks for helping me pass my test on the first try, John!

i passed my N test yesterday thanks to my instructor, John. i only took a couple of classes with him a few weeks before my test. he gave clear instructions on parking and good techniques for turns. he is very patient and kindhearted. he improved all my weak spots such as, shoulder checking, parallel parking, and more. i don’t think i would’ve passed without his help.

Cleared my Class 5 driving test in first go! Thanks to Henry who gave me the lessons and John for his special tips and guidance on the day of the exam. They both are patient, observant (pick up even the smallest of error) and respond with constructive feedback. If you have driven before in another country then they help you adapt to Canadian roads and driving conditions. Would recommend!

I debated for many years on whether or not to learn how to drive with an instructor or family and friends. Finally this year I did decided to take the plunge and try out driving lessons (which would cost as much as a Prada purse) but I was rejected by a few schools due to my working hours and overflow of students in the city. Luckily I came across the VNBC website and was able to speak to John and figure out a schedule for my lessons. This is the first thing you will notice about John, he is a good communicator. Taking lessons with John is without a doubt one of the best decisions I made in life, forget designer shoes or purses! I had no driving experience before I signed up for lessons with John. As I completed each lesson, I realized more and more they were a good investment and how much I needed them as they helped me gain confidence in being behind the wheel and get over my fear of driving. Frankly, I don't think everyone is built to teach and learning from someone you know, there is no guarantee they will teach me everything I need to know on the rules of the road and good driving habits. John is a very skilled instructor and he will not only teach you how to do well on your exams, he will teach you how to be a safe driver. When learning from John he will give you step-by-step instructions, valuable driving tips on and off the road in all kinds of weather conditions, parking and more. Especially under bad weather conditions or during the evening, don't expect a cancellation from John, he is more than happy to teach you how to drive so you can drive in all kinds of situations. Of course, you have the option to cancel...that just means it opens up a spot for another of John's students, he's as busy as any other school! John is so skilled that if you make a mistake, he will be able to tell you exactly what you did wrong and how to fix it. What I find is the most unique about learning from John is not only are you learning how to be a safe driver, you learn how to make others in the car feel safe/comfortable and be alert to unsafe drivers on the road. As I don't own a vehicle and only just received my N, I look forward to taking more lessons with John to finesse my driving skills and prepare for my full license exam. Thanks John, looking forward to the next lesson!

John it's a great instructor. I only took couple of lessons before my Class 5 road test and it was extremely helpful! He gives you an excellent insight to what to expect on the exam and how to drive in a safely ordery manner with respect to other users of the road. Knowledgeable and very patient. Recognizes your weak points and help to prioritize those. Worth booking even if you already have your license and just need to refresh your skills.

I passed my road test yesterday and wanted to take this opportunity to thank John (my instructor) for his encouragement and support thoughout the process. I was certainly not the greatest driver starting out and it did take two attempts to pass my road test, however, throughout the entire process John was patient and tailored his teaching to my speed of learning. Many driving schools have a strong focus on helping students pass, which is essentially what we would like as students too. But, John does go further and place a strong focus on saftey first and adherence to rules to ensure we are the best driver we can be. I had a great experience throughout the entire process and would highly recommend Johns driving school to anyone.
