I had a wonderful experience at Golden star driving school!! Jojo Kurian is an excellent instructor because of his calmness and his teaching techniques are second to none. I was a guy who pretty much didn't know anything about the canadian rules and he helped me to clear Class 5 in a two weeks time. His techniques are brilliant in a way that it is easy for any kind of drivers to improve quickly and during the lessons, He will give you tips to improve your techniques in a simple way. He is very attentive to his students and his clarification is easily comprehensible. I highly recommend taking driving classes from Golden star and i think that's the simplest way to pass your test. I will gladly recommend golden star driving school. I had my class 5 test yesterday and I passed in my first attempt. I hardly have any driving experience before and Jojo was very clear with his instructions and made sure I was comfortable with my driving. I was very stressed to drive but he made the experience a good one. I took the 20 hour package and that was good enough to get me through the test at the first attempt. I can't recommend Golden star enough.As a new immigrant to Canada I had to unlearn and learn driving from scratch. JoJO is a phenomenal teacher and he makes you practice every minute detail till you perfect it. I did my Class 5 driving exam and I could only pass because JOJO teaching gave me the confidence on the road. Today not only have I passed the test but I am confident about driving on the road safely because of JoJo's teaching. Don't think twice, choose golden star. He dedicates one and a half hour and offers pick and drop.

After failing the Road Test for Class 7 once, I retook it with a week of lessons everyday leading up to the test. Jojo was very patient and understanding, made things easy to remember and did not stop till he was sure you understood some major concepts in driving for new drivers. Download the ICBC manuals and read them carefully. It will make you be able to practice the maneuvers during driving lessons better because you already know the basics of what should be done.

My instructor, Jojo, delivered on all of his promises including his assurance that I would be fully trained and ready to hit the road driving after two lessons. Jojo maintained a calm demeanour throughout the lessons which helped me to relax and absorb the information more efficiently. His direction was clear and concise and his attitude was friendly throughout. No one wants to be trapped in a car with a stranger for an hour, but Jojo made it feel like you were just taking a drive with a good buddy! Golden star also impressed me with their high cleaning standards. The car was fully cleaned and sanitized before and after use, hand sanitizer was provided and masks were required for both student and instructor. I cleared my class 5 road test in Richmond (1st attempt). Overall a great experience! I have been recommending Golden star to all my friends who want to learn to drive manual or automatic to brush up on their skills before a road test. Definitely choose Golden star for all your driving needs and ask for the owner, Jojo!

He was patient, gave clear instructions and immediate feedback for quick, lasting improvement on all my techniques. Before meeting him, I was not at all good in driving. So I'm very thankful to Jojo for the guidance and pointers, that he taught me. They are accommodating and valuable as I get to apply them during the test and in my daily driving. I was so nervous about my exam, but his reassurance and teachings calmed my nerves, eventually making me confident for passing the test. Jojo is an excellent instructor with great patience and an absolute humble being. I had my first road test (Class 7) today and I PASSED!!! Despite the drizzles and strong wind which honestly scares the hell out of me cause leaves and twigs of trees where flying and falling everywhere! But this wouldn’t be possible without Jojo’s help, patience, and wise advices during our lessons. My advise is always ask your driving instructor if there’s anything that bothers you or if you need to clarify something or if you wanted to practice more on something (eg. parallel parking). Thank you again Jojo! And best of luck to all who are going for their test! You can do it!
