I had classes with Cosmin and it was amazing! He taught me a lot of the small details and tricks I needed to know to pass the road test. I passed in the first attempt :D During the classes, we drove in a lot of possible test routes. During my test, I was familiar with the entire track because of that. As a foreigner driver it was very important to have the classes, because in Canada there are a lot of different rules (like turning right in the red signal).

Once he has an idea of your experience level he will have all the lessons planned out in advance to help you pass. His strength is helping you learn the importance of safety on the road, while also helping you gain confidence in your skills. I think the price of the lessons is very reasonable. 90 minutes per lesson is great because it literally takes at least 30 minutes to warm up, and you will get a lot of practice encountering lots of different scenarios on the road. First and more importantly, Cosmin will make you pass in the road test. Just to give you context, before training for the road test with Cosmin, I had 7 years of driving experience in my home country. I thought that was enough, however I failed in the exam. The reason is because for the Road Test, your previous knowledge is not enough, you need to know many details for different situations that happen while driving that very likely doesn’t happen on your home country. Only after taking 3 classes with Cosmin that I felt I was ready, secure and confident that I will pass in the road test. Cosmin will make you ready for the exam by driving, by explaining to you the scenarios and how to behave in each of them. As a bonus, he is really funny and a good company. To summarize, as I did for myself, even if you are an experienced driver in your home country, I suggest taking at least 3 classes with Cosmin. By doing that you will have enough time to review the tips/tricks and then have time for the actual driving lessons. I strongly recommend Cosmin, it really worth to wait for his schedule to be open, trust me, you won’t regret.

The instructor will leave the car right to start the test with the examiner! My wife is very anxious and has a good time of stress in almost everything called a test! ???? So we chose an experienced instructor who would make her let go even though she was driving in Colombia ???????? and Brazil ????????, that is, she has a good experience of at least 10 years, but still driving in Canada ???????? is different! Anyone who has done Ielts/Celpip will understand, you speak wonderfully English or better than all your friends, but on the test your friend who doesn't even speak so well gets a higher grade than yours! O instrutor vai deixar o carro certinho pra começar o teste com o examinador! Minha esposa é bastante anciosa e passa bons momentos de stress em quase tudo que se chama teste! ???? Então escolhemos um instrutor experiente que faria ela se soltar mesmo sabendo que ela dirigia na Colombia ???????? e Brazil ????????, ou seja, tem uma boa experiencia de pelo menos 10 anos, mas mesmo assim dirigir no Canada ???????? é diferente! Quem ja fez Ielts/Celpip vai enterder, vc fala maravilhosamente ingles ou melhor que todos os seus amigos, mas na prova seu amigo que nem fala tao bem tira uma nota maior que a sua! Atenção que a mesma coisa acontece no exame de direção! Contudo ela passou hoje com louvor, ou seja o instrutor desceu do carro e deu parabens pro Cosmin pelo trabalho, além disso escreveu no report que foi over performance e olha que ha 3 semanas, achava que teria que fazer mais aulas ou pagar mais testes pra passa-la! Cosmin is an awesome instructor. His class is funny and he has a great way of teaching and you will easily understand how BC traffic rules works. In the first class he will understand how much you know about driving and will teach you all the basic rules before you start driving. In the class close to the test he will be always honest with you telling you have greats chances or no to pass on the test. So, I really recommend his work, he is the best specially for the Burnaby road tests!

Cosmin is a great instructor. He was capable of identifying all my needs and organized lessons to teach me the driving/traffic rules that helped me be better prepared to pass the driving exam. His car has a speedometer in the dash that projects the car speed on the windshield (front window). It is a great tool that helped me (a lot) control the speed of the car during the exam. Cosmin was attentive and focused on motivating and calming me down for the test. We also visit the area where the exam was going to happen to get acquainted with it. That was a great help! What a great news. I passed the road test for class 5 yesterday! Cosmin gave me so many wonderful tips and taught me how to maneuver the vehicle exactly. I had training with another school last year and failed the test thinking it was me who doesn't know how to drive! Until I got this school contact and realized all what I needed is a good instructor. I tried first to take the road test without any class. I did not pass and was very frustrated. I decided to take driving lessons to make sure I wouldn’t go through the same disappointment. So I contacted Cosmin who was very nice and fast on booking my classes. Right after the first class I deeply regretted not taking them sooner. He is the best driving instructor you can find in GVA. He is smart, fun and, most important, he will make you pass your exam. The exam here is full of gotchas and he will guide you through each one of them. I drove in Brazil for 12 years before coming to Vancouver as an international student. I purchased my car in 3 months living here and I drove for almost 2 years with my licence from Brazil. Therefore, I thought I was prepared to just switch licenses. I made the written exam, passed and I was going to take the practical exam without any prior lesson. A friend of mine told me don't do it without taking at least a driving lesson and highly recommended me to take it from Cosmin and so I did. Nevertheless to say that I made many mistakes during this lesson. I ended up taking another lesson one day before going to my practical test. I passed on my first attempt because I had taken these lessons with him. Once again, even though I had driven here for 2 years, I wasn't prepared for what was coming. His lessons had been the turning point to me and they'll be for you as well.

Thanks to Cosmin I passed on my first time doing the road test!! He is really the best of the best. If you want to learn and pass your test, he is the best money investment that you can have. He is very knowledgeable, patient and has great teaching skills, he makes you feel confident and teaches you possible gotchas that can happen during the road test. On top of all that, you will have tons of fun with this guy, he has a great and fun personality, makes all the stress and pressure go away. + his car is all configured to help you on the test: great to drive, digital speed control on the windshield, sensors, side mirror automatically moves down to assist with parallel parking, rear view camera... Important tip: His schedule is very tight and busy, so be smart and book 3-5 lessons with him with at least 3 months in advance to your road test, even if you are already used to driving (I was a class 5 in my home country) and you can cancel classes later (free of charge) in case you feel that you are ready for the test before the 5 lessons. It’s better to do it this way, than to book less classes and see that you need more and then it will be too late, he will be fully booked and you won’t be ready for your test, will fail and will have to spend money doing the test more times (and going through all the stress again). 5 stars for this guy!

If you are a brazilian and just arrived in Canada, you would be better off getting Cosmin to teach you how to adjust to the regulations and differences in driving rules and standards in Canada. There are a lot of confusing nuanced differences for a newcomer and it will probably be overwhelming. Well, what can I say? The 5-star ratings here ain’t lyin’. I took 3 lessons with Cosmin (the 1st one was part of the initial assessment and the last one was right before the road test). Cosmin provided me with many great tips, brought me to spots where students often make a mistake and as a result either get penalty points or instantly fail their road test, and made sure that my driving was by the book. I want to recognize the classes that I had with Cosmim. He is an amazing, calm and friendly instructor to learn. I am Brazilian, and I did not know some words in English related to traffic. However, he knows a lot of words in Portuguese and it helped me a lot to learn. He explains everything that will happen during the route. He REALLY knows how to train you and while it’s great to pass in your very first attempt, his goal is to make sure you know what you’re doing AT ALL TIMES. Icing on the cake, he’s hilarious. But amidst all the jokes, he’s literally watching everything single move you make, the road, the signs, everything.
