Having done driving school twice now, once at G1G2 12 years ago and now Universal, I can say the programs are comparable. Both the in class and driving teachers were very thorough and patient. No complaints.

NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BBB! Put 3 other children through driver's education elsewhere and have never had the same issues that I'm having with Universal Drivers' Fraud. Six weeks ago, my younger brother attended the in-class portion of the course. The instructor was an HOUR late.. but we let it slide because we assumed this would be a 1 time thing. Boy we're we wrong.. Now for the in-car portion.. it Never happened! We gave the instructors a number of ways to contact us.. they never did! Six weeks have passed and we haven't heard from them nor are they arranging a driving portion. $450 and 6 weeks later, he is still not certified and we are growing impatient. He has done 1 hour of in-car driving (out of 10 hours). It's Very frustrating to pay $450 dollars and have to Beg for service and communication. After calling constantly and not receiving appointment dates and times for the driving portion, we decided to contact the Better Business Bureau and couldn't even find this business listed. Meaning they are not accredited. Hopefully they contact us or we can get a refund. Extremely unprofessional.. have no idea how to go about getting a refund because they don't communicate well and lie about calling me! Young drivers & parents beware!!!!!!

This was the worst driving school experience I could have had and do not wish this upon anyone. I finished driving school around 5 or 6 months ago and my certificate was not at Service Ontario when I went. This driving school should not be certified by MTO, and I DO NOT recommend anyone to go to this driving school !!!!

My experience with universal driving has been great. The classes and the lessons were extremely helpful, and the rules are easy to remember when on the road. Glad I took this course, it has easily helped me become a better driver.

I see that I am not the only one that this company has screwed over. I was assured that record of the course would be submitted to MTO to help with insurance. I ordered a DLH report for my daughter as my insurance broker is looking for this information. I did, I waited over a month for it to arrive....to see that they DID NOT submit this info to the MTO. No one answers calls or emails. BUT, the good news is I see that they have classes scheduled. I'll just show up there and talk to the instructor. Maybe I'll show up early and let the parents know as well. OH, and the in car sessions? Good luck getting them. Horrible company. DO NOT USE. For the record, I will gladly edit this review if you rectify this issue. Just check your direct messages and chat service via your website for further details on when the course was taken and a copy of the receipt.

Chose this driving school for my G2 lessons. Saved lots of money with their summer promotion and definitely worth it! The in class lessons were packed full of tips, etc to prepare me for the road. The in car lessons gave me the knowledge, practice, and confidence I needed to pass my road test! Matt was my driving instructor and he always made me feel calm and safe driving in the car. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Do not. I repeat do not take this driving school. Maybe they'll help u learn about cars and the rules etc but when it comes to informing you important information relating to how long you have to complete your in car and get your G1 they are useless. Did not tell me any of that information. Just tried to book my in car a week ago and their inbox was full, nobody got back to me until it was too late and now they want me to repay. Worst school ever. deserves to get closed.

Not sure if this company has suspended operations due to covid shut down. I cannot get in contact with them to continue my daughter's drivers education. Of course we pre-paid for the course in full. It would be nice if they sent some information out or posted on their web site what their situation is and if it will be resuming.

I'm done with my online class almost two months ago and I keep contacting you for my in-car training but nobody answer my call even my email. We been to your school but nobody's there. In this case are you some kind of scam? After paying full payment and this is what I get? Your services is not good for what I can see. I need to refund all my payment!

Wow! If you see a awesome driver who is safe and skilled it’s me, because I went through universal driving school! My in class instructor Eugina was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in my life. When it got to the in car lessons I was greeted by a calm, instructive and inclusive teacher named Kaled who calmly fixed and improved my driving skills and boosted my confidence (you can see in the first line :)) overall, I strongly advise any new comers who are looking for a great price and great experience to visit and go through universal driving school!

Universal driving school provides really great instructors BUT... their communication and business practices are the WORST! The lessons are useless as they have not submitted the certification to the MTO. Can't book a drivers test and can not use the new driver training for insurance. No one answers the phone number posted on their site. No matter how many messages you leave they never call back. Their treatment of their customers is very unprofessional AFTER you have paid in full! Very disappointed... AND STILL WAITING for the certification to be submitted to the MTO!

I just want to say both my in class and in car instructor were fantastic ! My in car Wally was amazing ! He made me feel very comfortable with driving and taught me so much about driving safe. My in class Dennis is a great teacher also taught me so much about everything ! This place is a scam. Apparently the owner has stopped paying his instructors so we were only provided with the in class portion and not the in car instruction. Calls and emails go unanswered. It's shameful.

Think twice about using this company - especially if you are entrusting the life of your teenager in their hands. On my daughter's last lesson, the instructor made her drive from Burlington to Brampton only to pick up another man to go to his driving test. She was asked to sit in the back seat while he drove, and was afraid for her life. Still not sure if I should involve the police or my lawyer to shut this company down. The owners response? "It's normal, we do it all the time".
