The in class instructor is friendly and makes sitting through the PowerPoint not only fun but meaningful and memorable. The school accepted me even though my driving test was only 2 weeks away. Jimmy, through some work of magic slotted me in 4 days in a row me to pass my driving test with flying colours. 10/10 experience. Will recommend for my brother and anyone else looking to pass on the first try.

I highly recommend Ali a driving instructor from SAM's in Whitby! Throughout the entire duration of our time together he was willing to do whatever was necessary & truly went above and beyond to insure I was comfortable behind the wheel! He is incredibly kind, understanding and patient which was super helpful for someone like myself who struggles with severe Anxiety and due to being in a car accident at a young age is as extremely nervous about driving! After having bad experiences with previous instructors from other schools I went with Jimmy at Sam’s Driving and I’m very grateful for the advice and skills I learned during my time with him. Jimmy was a fantastic instructor who was very knowledgeable, always on-time for my scheduled lessons, safely followed COVID-19 protocols, and gave me valuable tips and advice in preparation for my road test. Where to start, the in class sessions were educational and informative; a great way to begin learning about road safety and driving. The in car lessons were amazing. Shegi was the best instructor, he made sure to cover everything and was beyond helpful in answering any questions and addressing my concerns. I am beyond thankful for the learning experience, Shegi helped me get my G2 on the first try! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you're booking lessons, he's so great everybody wants in! But he is definitely worth it!

My experience at Sams driving school was a great one. Ali was my in class instructor and he was great and the class was very informative. My driving instructor Matt was very patient and well educated guy about driving. When I started the course I knew little or nothing about driving. I then finish the course and only did 2 extra hours for brushing up and I passed my G2 at my first attempt, with only that 12 hours. I will most definitely recommend Sam driving school to anyone.

Driving Instructors were very helpful. They teach you everything you could possibly need for your road test, along with providing easy methods to help you remember them.

The worst driving instruction ever. 10 driving classes later and they spend more time driving in straight lines around town than teaching the kids the hard stuff like how to park. Instructors disappear for weeks in end making it hard to coordinate sessions. Different instructors show up so there’s no history knowledge of what your child can or can’t do. I ended up having to take my child out myself in the end and follow a few you tube videos to teach parallel and reverse parking. After spending $500 this really should have been covered. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We used the Burlington location.

I would like to shoutout one particular driving instructor named Khurram, he was the best driving instructor I couldve ever asked for. He was patient, precise, and knew all the tips and tricks of the road that made me very comfortable with driving, and not to mention hes hilarious ! He makes everything about driving so easy ! If you get khurram as your driving instructor you are in the best hands and you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your G2 test. In class was great for my son. No problems at all. In car instructor was hard to get a hold of. Unresponsive at times. Only responded when office was called by me more than once after several instances of my son being ignored. Did not answer my sons questions at times about driving while in the car. Went on break at Tim Hortons inside while my son waited in the car a good 10 minutes. Instructor forgot to show up for an appointment once then avoided my son again for about a week before I called the office. Office was no help in trying to get a different instructor. Stuck up for instructor saying hes busy so just text urgent. Glad to be done with this place. It was akward trying to be pleasant for my sons sake while we were still owed lessons. Was a struggle to finish the lessons due to instructor avoiding texts and calls. Took from august till early December to finish in car lessons. Dont recomend. Instructor never gave his name. Only his number.

Sam's is an excellent place to go to learn more about the rules of driving. The teacher made it fun to learn and told funny stories to help us remember to be careful ! My driving instructor was Naji, at first I was very nervous to drive but Naji really helped me get pasted that and made me feel confident in my driving. He is very knowledgeable and always had different way to explain things. He always offered to pick me up from my college to take me somewhere to practice driving and ALWAYS did his best to make time around my busy schedule. We had some great conversations while he was teaching me and he made me feel very comfortable even though I have some anxiety towards men.Thanks to Naji I passed my G2 road test on the first try! Instructor: Naji (5 stars) I took my G2 exit road test this week. I passed with Naji's coaching. I would recommend him for his knowledge (includes tips for parking which helped me a lot) and his calm demeanor. For students, it is important that the instructors have these two qualities to be able to transfer knowledge effectively. Most importantly, I can sense that he is a warm and genuine person, which put me at ease during lessons. Company review (4 stars) The price for lessons was reasonable. Initially, there was a delay getting an instructor, however this improved after a follow-up.

Not very pleased with my experiences here. My driver left the country for a month which took me that much longer to get my license. My driver Mohammed never showed up on time, he always delayed or post poned lessons and when we were on the road he was always on his cellphone. I won't recommend. In class is OK.

Really unprofessional. He charges 500 cad in advance and while registration he seems like a good guy and will assure you that your classes will be in continuous manner (which is very important for any new driver) and will be complete withing 2 weeks. However, once payment is done, good luck getting hold of him. He won't reply to you sms or calls l. He will intentionally drag it so you can't learns much and can charge extra classes from you. His attitude is worst, he will behave with you like he is teaching you for free.

It was a bit troublesome trying to contact the school initially, but after being setup with an instructor, communication is good. The teacher makes sure the student is calm and comfortable, as well as familiar with what he/she is instructed to do. Extremely horrible experience. I am shocked that it's an accredited institution with the Ministry of Transportation. Upon completion of the in-class portion of the course, waited 9 weeks for the first appointment for in-car lessons. The instructor showed up in a car with no indication that it was Sam's driving school. I wasn't even able to get the instructor's attention from across the street to confirm who he was. Apparently the sign blew away in an earlier storm, I later learned. When my son came out of the house, the instructor opened his door and said to him "get in the car". I said to the instructor "hold on a minute" when he veered off down the street and took off. My son and I looked at each other and we were both wondering what just happened. Needless to say I do NOT recommend this driving school. The only credit I give them is that they ended up giving us a refund.

I have gone to three different driving schools upon getting my G1 License 5 years ago and have failed the G2 Road Test twice. In the past, I had very impatient driving instructors who did not know how to effectively teach me what I needed to know. After starting lessons with Sams, my daughter became uncomfortable with the instructor. I requested someone else about halfway through. It was during the summer so I assume they were busy because it took a few weeks to get someone else. Ultimately, after a few follow up calls, the owner Jimmy did the final few lessons. My daughter took a year to get some practice in (wasn't quite ready even after the lessons) but when she was, she booked a couple of refresher hours with Jimmy, then passed her G2 on the first try. So even though the experience started out a bit shaky, ultimately it resulted in a successful outcome.

Having gone through several driving schools and instructors walking away with little to no confidence (and being 21 years old) it was hard not to think that my hesitance with driving was a personal issue I'd never shake. I decided to try once more - this time with SAMS Driving School (Whitby). What an incredible experience it was! Jimmy, my instructor and owner of SAMS, is incredibly thorough without being convoluted, stern without being tyrannical, pleasant without being a pushover, and far more flexible with scheduling than I had thought! In less than 10 hours of in-car training I felt the confidence, understanding, and pride that I had genuinely never thought possible. From someone who has been all over durham for proper training, I can honestly say that there is no place better for both the price that you're paying and the knowledge you're walking away with. You were so great - speaking clearly and being consistent, being respectful to my dad but in the way that got him to listen. Even so, I wasn't sure that at 94 he could make the changes he needed to form the new habits, but he surprised me! After 2 lessons with you, I saw him start to change what he was doing and when I took him out he was more receptive to the details in practice. Someone close to me paid for this course and the in car lessons in order to pass their G2 driving test. The in class was said to be a great experience, however the same can't be said about the in car lessons. The instructors reliability was consistently inadequate. Not only was the instructor constantly late for lessons, but did not cover the criteria to pass the G2 driving test in entirety. When discussing with this person very dear to me, pre test specific criteria, I was told that information was never covered. To keep it simple, this driving school will not prepare you adequately in your endeavour to attain a drivers license.

Nothing but problems since the day my son started this course . They made it impossible to book the in car classes . Cancelled on us repeatedly .. dragged it out for months until it was too late for my son to take them without redoing the course . I understand people have family issues but Sam was gone for months and did not leave a competent professional in his place . This driving school is garbage .. it’s unprofessional and a scam . I have reported them to the better business bureau and apparently I am not the only one who has had serious issues with them . Buyer beware !!

Excellent driving school, Jimmy assigned my instructor to be Zainab and she was a great teacher. Zainab is very patient and knowledgeable, and makes sure that all of her students to do well. She is friendly, excellent at teaching confidence, and teaches how to be safe on the road. Very professional, I highly recommend her and SAMS driving school. I passed my road test on the 1st try!

What an Fantastic experience passing my G driving test with Jimmy from SAMS. Patient, professional & reliable. I was a bit insecure when it comes to parking - within 2 lessons with Jimmy my parking were inch-perfect. His teaching techniques makes it so much easier. I also found his honestly and professionalism refreshing - he told me after 2 lessons he thought I was ready for the test. That made me realize the previous school I used for my G2 was ripping me off taking so many lessons when I was just as ready. Fantastic experience would highly recommend SAMS Driving School. Khurram was very respectful and cooperative of my very unique and challenging schedule. He made it possible for me to obtain my G2 on the first try. His teaching was precise and laid out in a step by step process that was easy to follow, especially for a true beginner. I had never driven before my first instruction with him. Most importantly, he believed in me and gave me a level of trust within myself to move forward and keep going until I got there. I would highly recommend Sam’s driving. In fact, the roads to be a lot safer if it was mandatory for all drivers to take a minimum set of defensive driving lessons before obtaining a license.

One of the first things I had to take care of as new comer to Canada was the driver license. Initially I took one class from Accurate Driving. This guy came with an old Honda Civic dirty inside and out. The car was running very bad and his way of instructing was extremely disappointing. I looked for another instructor and found Sams Driving School. Jimmy showed up with a very clean new car, was very relaxed and gave me instructions in a clear manner. I decided to continue with him and I am glad I did. I took G2 and G classes and am grateful for all his support. I warmly recommend Jimmy and his school !!!!

Jimmy was an amazing teacher!!! He was able to connect with my teenage son and prepared him 100 % for his G2 test! He taught him numerous “tricks” to parallel parking and backing into a parking spot. Sams gave him the confidence to drive, and gave us the comfort with letting our teen behind the wheel. Shegi was amazing nice calm and very patent witch was very good for me I had already failed 2 times I dident want to fail but he won’t let that happen !!!
