I just finished this amazing program with my AZ Licence. Start to finish this is a first class operation. I found myself in the program after being told by a career trucker who had training back in 1980 at Tri County. I was also referred by someone who just finished training a year ago. This told me the training was consistent. My in class training for 2 weeks was great as the instructor had almost 30 years in the business. One of the most interesting 2 weeks I've spent learning. The office staff who schedule everything and answer any questions you have ensure you are comfortable with your schedule once you pair off with your instructor are so important. They make Tri County run like a well oiled machine. Richard is always available to answer any questions and always asks how your day is going. People are important to Richard and he wants to hear feedback during your training. Your required to perform 30 hours of yard work. I doubled that plus upon completion as you get out of the course what you put in to it. My instructor Carl was world class in every possible way learning how to drive the trailer, safety and backing. I had the pleasure of learning something new every day which kept the program fresh. By test day I was more than ready to take the test and receive my licence. I believe this program is the best in Canada. I am now a confident az driver. Thank you Tri County Truck Training.

Review in March 2019: I realized why everyone recommended Tri-County Training...the training is awesome! Very friendly staff, The President, Richard, would come to the classroom and say"Coffee Truck is here"...or say a Hello when passing in the hallways My instructor was Mr. John Dinning. He has a lot of experience in Trucking. His communication skills are excellent, and most of all I realized that he really wants each and every student to Pass & get the License. It was very apparent when he dealt with some of the struggling participants. I had zero commercial vehicle experience(my weak poiint), but I read & studied the Commercial Vehicle Training Handbook before classes started. Which, really helped me a lot during thetraining. Our instructor, John Dinning made made sure that each and everyone knew and remembered all the required, important, terminology (failing marks) for exterior/interior checks. Mr. Dinning also made sure that we all drove many...many...times on all the Routes used for the driving part of test. So, during the Drive Test exam, I felt absolutely cofident because John Dinning used the exact routes & used the exact words to instruct my next step while behind the wheel... that's how much training weI had received from our instructor before the test day. However, John Dinning will challenge you to meet his level of expectation during the training...Why? because he wants each & everyone in his group to pass...and he will make sure of that! I realized that that's why Tri-County Training has such high reputation in the Industry... because they make sure everyone's gets rock solid safety & driver training ahead the Career. I wish all schools do this, so there will be less fatalities on the road' and every student pass the test successfully. Lou Yainna

I think you will not be disappointed going through Tri-County truck training and your success obtaining your licenses A or D and Z will open doors as Tri-County Truck Training is well known for their reputable school in this truck training industry for you to be successful. The trucking industry knows that Tri-County teaches their students about the mechanics as well as the laws for your handling the trucks professionally so that you are successful to drive as a professional if you continue what they teach you into your career. Words can not describe how thankful I am for this company. I first went to a driving school for my B License and was not treated like was a student, I was treated as a dollar sign. However, John Dinning was my instructor at Tri County, the level of professionalism and how he taught our class was beyond expectations. 11 of us went for our B license, ALL 11 PASSED. If you're looking to get your commercial drivers license, Look no further because this school is amazing, ( Props to the owner for hiring an awesome instructor)

Only place you should go to get your license. Just finish my az here and everything about this course is amazing. From in class with john to out in the truck driving with your instructor. I had blake as a instructor and he is a extremely good teacher nice and calm. Easy to talk to and a really down to earth guy. The price of the course is pretty high but well worth it. Everyone in the office is nice and funny with a good sense of humor. Really the only thing I can complain about is doing the 30 yard hours but rules are rules and they know what there doing they have been doing this forever so I understand there reasoning. Overall awesome school and atmosphere to get your license would highly recommend it and I'm gonna miss coming in every day for school!

i have recently completed my az training with tri-county and i am happy to say i have found employment . When i decided to become a professional driver i did some research concerning different facility and what was all entailed in there az program . I was surprised to hear other places offered so little to obtain an az ., As a professional truck drive you are considered to be the best driver on the road , we are held to a hire driving standards and Tri-County was the best choice . There instructors and staff are truly a pool of knowledge always more than happy to answer any question you may have . Honestly I could go on and on . When I left Tri-County I felt like I was part of a team . They were not just instructors and staff .They were my friends . If anyone reading this is considering a career in truck driving all you have to do is call them., Meet with there staff see what they have to offer and you will know you are dealing with the best in AZ training .

I just completed my AZ course at Tri-County Training. It was an overall fantastic experience, from the kind, friendly and welcoming women working in the office. The thorough and passionate in-class and air brake education from John. The experienced and exeptional in-truck instructor Greg. If you’re considering training schools, I highly recommend coming here! They’re not just training you to pass the road test, everyone is there to bring you to a professional level driver who confidently knows what they are doing on the road or looking for during inspections.

Went to upgrade my DZ to AZ. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient staff who are willing to take the time and steps necessary to ensure that you fully comprehend what you are doing and are comfortable with doing so. Nice equipment to learn on as well.

Highly recommended course. 10/10

I loved it even though it was a steep learning curve. The class sessions seem long by 4:30 or 5 pm but all the info is well covered by the instructor. I passed with 90% and was able to be employed quickly afterward. The fork lift driver day course was .... well, ....I had issues with my treatment compared with my co classmate that day. I did finish and I did pass without question. My first time driving it and gently bumping a rack (while he was chatting to my classmate and NOT watching me) he asked/stated "Why did you do that?" and then waited for me to come up with an answer. His attitude of there being only two reasons to make an error were unrealistic, distressing and offensive to me. An error happens a) because you weren't paying attention or b) You did it on purpose. This leaves no room for ANY learning curve. Please do not allow him to do that to you. I felt diminished. Office staff are wonderful, trainers are great but each has a different teaching method and techniques. It may be more effective to switch out trainers and new drivers over the course. More backing time is needed (for me, anyway) and for second career choice, with the grants for retraining Canadians it is worth it. They are personable, the students seemed to mix readily, though there is very little time, or reason in the classroom to relate your personal experiences. I was comfortable there and passed my first drive test with MTO and at my choice of employers. I am not it love with the idea that you have a 3 hour practical driving lesson booked, and then realize on your first time out that you are actually committed to be in the truck with another student for 6 hours. (I never did end up in the 3 students =9 hours on the road, thank goodness, and I hope they are not are not doing that now). GREAT COMPANY that takes producing WELL trained drivers seriously. PS: There were 4 women in my class of approximately 15 people, and all ages. It was a first for them but I'm sure, it's happening more.

Great place to get training for AZ .

Overall a pretty good truck school to get your AZ or DZ. Overall satisfied with my time their. The only issue was the chubby teacher in the classroom is a little bigoted and small minded but overall I learned a lot in the classroom. My driving instruction was really chill and helpful when it came to on road driving

I would highly recommend anyone go here for their training. Absolutely 100% worth the money. They are all so friendly and fun and yet professional at the same time. They bring so much experience to the table and really are a top tier way of making sure your transition into the trucking industry is as smooth as possible and that you enter it with a good foundation and set of skiĺls to build on, and with the confidence to comfortably enter the workforce. My classroom instructor John and driving instructor Jayne were rockstars and really helped me get my fundamental skills and knowledge down and mentored me to basically acing my road test. Also going to this school will give you higher quality job prospects as a rookie driver than going cheaper routes as they are trusted so much in the industry as a training source. I am so happy with the experience and it was worth every penny and anyone else looking to get into the industry I highly recommend coming here.

I just recently finished my training here at Tri County ( AZ course) and would like to talk about the great experience and instruction I received. From day one so much information is thrown your way and it can be stressful but, the instructors do such a great job of breaking everything down and helping each student learn what they need to without it all getting over to whelming. After completing the classroom portion of the course I began the driving part, and what I thought was going to be a challenging affair was made easy by the amazing set of former truck drivers who handle the instruction. Everything once again was broken down in to very manageable parts which made learning to drive and handle such a complex machine extremely easy. Shout outs to John Dining (one of the instructors) for being an absolutely stellar teacher. He did an excellent job at focusing not only fixing my weaknesses in driving but also put a lot of time into helping me learn all the proper maintenance/safety aspects required to pass the AZ test. On top of this he has a wicked personality and was super easy to talk to which made learning all the more fun. My one, and tiny complaint I had with Tri County is that often times each instructor has a potentially very different way of teaching and while that may seem helpful, if passed between them often times one instructor may say that another has not taught you correctly and so forth. Often times I found myself confused as something I had learned with one instructor, was "wrong" or "incomplete", according to another. My recommendation for this is either have students stick with one instructor to avoid confusion, or sit down and make sure each teacher in the same wave length when i comes to teaching. Despite this tiny concern I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tri County Training to anyone interested is quality instruction!!! Cheers!!

Good afternoon Lief, I wanted to let you know about my experience at TriCounty and in particular as that experience relates to your instructor Dyann Jackson. I was impressed from day one with her extensive resume and accomplishments in the transportation industry. Rarely, does success in a given field translate well into the teaching profession. It does not usually follow that a twenty year veteran has the ability to excite, inform and educate. Not only is Dyann a talented and seasoned driver, she has the magnificent gift of imparting that experience and passion into the classroom setting. What makes Dyann unique is that she approaches the classroom from the standpoint of the student rather than from the curriculum. Anyone can recite data. Anyone can read directly from a text book. Simply blandly passing on rote information makes the task of learning a new trade a boring and noneffective enterprise. As a former instructor myself, I can attest to the fact that personal engagement of students does not come naturally for most people. Her warmth, charm and tremendous care for those in her charge was best seen in the way she would build our skills layer upon layer. We would master one subset of data and skills and gradually add to our education as we passed milestones. She was our cheerleader as well as our teacher. It was a privilege to have spent time with Dyann. Dyann is a gifted individual. You are very fortunate to have one so talented in your employ.

I attended in 2013, and the training was excellent. When I interviewed for jobs, I was told that I gave the best pre-trip and it showed I was very well trained. Tri County graduates stand out immediately for job offers.

I completed my MTO Road Test today for the BZ license and nailed it thanks to help of John Dinning and Tri-County. John's way of teaching in class and on the road made it very it easy to learn to prepare for the Road Test and also prepare for my new job at GRT. It is an experience that I will never forget and will always cherish. Thanks to Tri-County for having great instructors that are willing to go over and above to help all of their students.

Tri-County is the best driving school around. The minute you walk in they make sure you feel welcomed, show you around and most important treat you with dignity and respect. They take pride in their service and do anything possible to make sure one is successful. I completed my BZ licence with Tri-County and had John as my instructor. John is an extremely good trainer with a great positive attitude, patience and kindness. John will bend over backwards to make sure his students understand every concept. He realizes everyone learns differently and will do anything possible to make sure you understand. His encouragement goes a long way. As a student he just made me believe anything is possible and it drove me to work harder. I couldn’t express enough how well my training was delivered. I’m thankful for everyone I encountered to develop my knowledge. Overall I recommend Tri-County Driving School to anyone interested in getting their BZ, AZ and DZ licence. Thank you for the great experience! Vincenza Capriglione

My experience at Tri-County was simply fantastic. My instructor (John) was amazing. He went above and beyond his duty in teaching me everything to obtain the BZ license. He made a difficult subject, like the air brakes, very easy, even for me that I didn't have any experience in the field. He also gave me his personal cell number in case I needed any extra help or if I had more questions. The driving part of my training went very well, thanks to both my instructors (John and Paul). Both great instructors with a lot of experience. I definitely recommend Tri-County for your commercial licences. Look no further. You will be in very good hands. Thanks John and Paul for all your help. Mauro Sgarbossa

Best school for bus training, the instructor cares a lot and wants you to success. I felt overwhelmed in the beginning however my instructor Dianne was very thorough and patient and I can’t ask for a better instructor at Tri County Training. They teach the importance of safety and I will always remember my experience being a student there. Thank you for helping me passed my BZ today ????????

Brittaney Mcgowan

Amazing school to get your BZ .John is awesome trainer he always goes above and beyond for his a students!

Dwayne Collins

Tri-County should be the only place you consider when looking to upgrade your license. I had a "G" class license, I had never driven a commercial vehicle but I got my BZ on my first attempt. I give all the credit to Dyann and John. They are both great trainers that are committed to getting positive results. The time and effort that they put into you as an individual shows that they are invested in you and your success. I applaud them both for investing their time and effort in me. I cannot thank you enough Dyann and John. I am where I am today because of you and Tri-County. Thank you!

Richard Harrison

I would like to send out a very big thank you to the team at Tri County for all the great education and the hands on experience in the world of trucking and having confident in me to complete the course and pass my drive test. Without the help from all office staff and all the instructors (Jayne ) I would not have been able to do it. The education and experience you get at Tri County is over the top and in my mind it is the best you will get. So thank you and keep up the great work.

What an amazing experience! Not only is Tri-County one of the last schools that offer training on a standard transmission, but they go above and beyond in identifying a student’s learning style on an individual level. I want to start with John, the in-class instructor, who not only knows his material extremely well, but the passion he puts into it and seeing his students succeed, makes going to class something you look forward to everyday (and I was never big on classes). Then of course there’s Blake, my in-truck/driving instructor. Again, not only was Blake extremely knowledgeable at what he does, but he did beyond the best job I could have asked for training and getting me comfortable with a loaded tractor, trailer and shifting gears. He constantly made sure I felt safe and comfortable with what I was doing, and pushed me to further my skills to the next level. Amazing job Blake, and thank you for making it fun along the way! Lastly, I have to mention the way that the owner, Leif, and the wonder office ladies, Pam and Marie, always having such a welcoming and smiling face everyday, and the other instructors, Jeff, Carl, Jane and Brian, all jump in to help out in any way they can. What an amazing team and experience, was hired on with a great company the day I got my licence. Thank you Blake and Tri-County!

You need to have great instructors to pass an exam, especially when it comes to defensive driving and keeping the Canadian (US roads - truckers) safe. You have to have instructors like John Dinning and Dyann Jackson to achieve such class in driving and then pass in your first attempt. If they could make me master defensive driving, you can do it too. Tri Count training is your road to success for heavy duty vehicles.

Dillon Bailey

Overall fantastic experience. The Instructors are amazing and the office is a great to deal with. Blake was my Instructor for truck training, I had never driven a standard vehicle before and he had me efficiently shifting in no time at all. He was very patient when I was struggling and helped me overcome any issues I had. Passed my driver test first try. If you are serious about becoming a professional driver go to tri county.

Wayne Brubacher

Great school! Had a lot of fun learning in class and in the yard. All they care about is that everyone has fun and is learning! Hands down the best trucker school????

Andy Chimborazo

The staff, instructors, management are all amazing. They want you to succeed and care about you as a student and a person. Can't say too many good things about them. I don't usually write a review but they deserve one. If you are looking for a school that cares about you and wanting you to succeed this is the perfect school for you. They are patient, approachable, friendly and caring. More importantly with their training you will get your license.

Krystal Mueller

I have just recently received my full BZ license after completing 3 weeks of school bus, air brakes and defensive driving courses. John Dinning was an absolutely amazing teacher and I could not imagine any other person teaching this course! His knowledge and understanding of commercial vehicles and school buses/ city buses is outstanding and he is very good at teaching others to MTO standards. John is by far one of my favourite teachers I’ve had.. his dedication to his students is always above and beyond. From memorizing some unthinkable terms to learning how to drive GRT city buses, I am extremely thankful for Tri-County and all of their trainers for guiding me and teaching me everything I need to know about commercial vehicles as well and city and school buses. My overall outlook on daily driving has improved due to these courses. Anyone that is looking to take the AZ or BZ course, I highly recommend taking them with Tri-County. You will not be disappointed.

Rick Weisler

Thank you Tri County Training for the awesome experience and training for my B license and Z endorsement. I just passed the MTO road test on Thursday. John did an amazing job to make sure all of us in the class understood everything that we needed to do. All your instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly and make you feel welcome not just a number. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tri County Training for any of your training needs. Thanks to everyone. Rick

Great place to upgrade your license, John and Diane were amazing instructors. The facility is clean and well cared for, I highly recommend Tri-County.

Ron Cascanette

Very friendly and knowledgeable trainers. Enjoyed my experience. Highly recommended.

Kathy

In all honesty, the lady for the BZ Dyann was very unethical in my opinion, I didn't think it was a good experience although I did well to be honest. I also felt she was edgy & discouraging in a way, the guy was a little bit more help.

Maria Bastable

Very positive and helpful experience while training to obtain my BZ license. All instructors, including John and Paul, are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. John broke down all material in a way that was easy to understand and retain. He always made sure everyone understood all concepts, and had no hesitation to take extra time to help those who didn’t. The class environment was always friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend John and Tri-County as your go-to for accurate and efficient training, for any class of license.

Abdul Ait Ali

I am writing this review about Tri-County Training where I just completed by BZ license. The experience was absolutely fantastic! The facilities were really clean and it was well-organized. I highly recommended Tri-County, the trainers like John and Dyann are extremely helpful, experienced and supportive! Dyann did the road training with me and it was enjoyable, it built my confidence and her driving tips were incredibly useful. She is multi-lingual which helped a lot as well. Thanks to all the people at Tri-County and thank you John and Dyann!

Aloosh1990

I came all the way from Toronto area to check the place, and i had a chance to meet with the president mr. Richard wynia which is a person can be described as incredible person in terms of explaining, and understanding the process, and the job needs, and requirments what i loved the most is the understanding of their duty as AZ teaching school by taking it to a very high level of intensive care

Vanessa Dos Santos

Steph G

My experience at Tri County exceeded my expectations. I went to get my BZ, and by the time I took my road test, I KNEW what I was doing. John was a VERY thorough instructor, willing to answer any and all questions. He even allowed us to send him messages on evenings and weekends if we had any questions. I felt like they were genuinely interested not in turning out students, but in making us safe and confident drivers. I can't thank John and the team at Tri County enough - they changed my life.

I have nothing but great things to say . The instructors John D and Paul M are great instructors and made my training sensible and made sure I knew the info for test day . Would recommend this training for sure. They are the best at Tri County.
