Bad school to teach you, don't go here. they are a bunch of liars. my driving instructor told me to turn and we ended up getting into an accident. my teacher claim its not his fault, now i am not able to get insurance! their cars are not equipped for teaching new drivers. (no passenger safety stop pedal, Etc.)

A B C Driving was absolutely amazing!! My in class teacher Reimer was really informative and funny. My In car teacher Tina was the BEST!!! She was so calm and cool and showed me everything I needed to know right to the end, and I would recommend asking for Tina when you take your In-car lessons!

I wasn't very impressed with my lesson. I had very limited driving experience and when I booked with them I specifically asked if they could handle a driver with very little experience and one that was very nervous. I had better experiences and learned more from my husband and sister. I felt like the instructor spent more time telling me to dodge potholes and that I needed to book many many many more lessons to have any chance at passing my test. FYI I passed my test the first time about 6 weeks after the lesson. I do not credit you on passing, I credit my husband and sister. I am sorry to leave a bad review but you made my first and only driving lesson one of the most horrible nerve wracking experiences I have ever had driving.

Peter is worth his weight in GOLD. He completely prepared my 17 yr old daughter from zero driving skills to passing her N first try, in just 6 lessons. With other children my household, busy with work, and a standard vehicle, I was unable to teach my daughter to drive. It was so very important to me to feel confident that she knew how to drive safely. Peter was able to deliver this! He is very professional, very accommodating, and a very nice guy! I would definitely recommend him to all of our friends, and any parents looking to educate their children on road safety and driving!

Highly recommend ABC Driving School as it was a pleasant experience from the in-class learning through to the in-car driving lessons. Tony Q was a great in-class instructor; he brought enjoyment and great knowledge to a tedious subject without taking away the importance of the learning itself. Also, Inder Bhogal was an absolute pleasure as my in-car instructor. His immense knowledge, patience, and exceptional teaching skill gave me not only the learning tools I needed to drive but also the confidence to pass my G2 test on my first try. I fully intend to seek out the help of Inder and ABC Driving School for a refresher lesson when it comes time to take my G test.

This was the worst driving school, the teacher had horrible English got mad at me for mistakes, made me feel anxious to even drive then yelled at my Mother because I got frustrated, he accused me of doing drugs because I was shaken at the wheel nervous to make any mistakes, he told me I shouldn't even drive. I took three lessons with another driving school and passed my N test with flying colours, horrible experience. Shouldn't be aloud to teach.

I found Peter in the yellow pages, really liked his rates so I decided to use him to tweek my driving for my N test. I had 4 lessons and I learned information I had never seen in the L book or been told by another driving school that I used only once. Peter is very good at showing you your errors and showing you how to fix them. I plan to use ABC to get my highway driving perfected. I highly recommend Peter and ABC. P.S. I had Sameh Abu Hantash as my driving instructor and he is an excellent teacher. I passed my G2 test the first try with him given that I had zero driving experience earlier. Sameh explains everything that you need to do and what not to do when driving not only for the test itself but also to become a better driver. One of the many things that I like about Sameh is that he is very encouraging and helpful. I highly recommend Sameh.

Kal was an amazing inclass teacher! He kept the class engaged (which is super hard to do early in the morning haha) i wanted him to be my driving instructor and was initially disappointed that I did not get him! I got Philip instead! Philip is a great in-car instructor and will always do what is best and safest for you! He was always able to pinpoint the areas I struggled in and spent more time practicing those. Passed my g2 on the first try thanks to both of them being such a great in class teacher and an amazing in car teacher! thanks guy!

If your looking for a driving school then this is the best driving school! I learned a lot from my in class instructor. It was very informative and if you don’t miss any days it honestly goes by quick. Another great thing about this driving school is the in car instructor Maged, he taught me a lot and each driving lesson was very helpful. He made me feel comfortable in the car especially talking to me which honestly helps because I have kids and it will definitely not be quiet in the car. I’ve heard he’s had a lot of people pass there driving test and I’m happy to be one of those people. Thank you abc driving school and of course Maged!

Peter was tough, strict and serious about the Driving Rules. But most of all Peter was FAIR. He was a no nuisance instructor set on seeing that you were fully knowledgeable about BC Driving Rules and well prepared to PASS your Driving Exam. I registered for the BDE and everything went really smooth given the circumstances. I had 4 online classes where my teacher was super energetic and enthusiastic. My driving classes were also extremely helpful since my instructor, Kaleem, taught me everything I needed to know in order to pass my G2 on my first attempt. He also remained very calm whenever I made a mistake during driving, and would calmly explain what I did wrong. For anyone learning to drive I would highly recommend this course.

Be careful before choosing this driver’s school. They are quick to take students’ money, not so quick to have driving instructors contact students for their practical experience. Everything is a fight with them. They do not respect teenagers - at all. Happy we do not have any more kids - certainly would NOT use ABC. If you decide to use ABC, be wary of working with Tony (instructor). Not trustworthy.

My drivers anxiety is gone, and I got my N in only 3 lessons plus a warm up before the road test! Peter is a great instructor, funny, knowledgeable, friendly, and produces noticeable results. My first lesson with him taught me how little I knew about properly driving a vehicle, but with some practice of my own, and some follow up lessons as well I have become a (somewhat) skilled driver! Peter has been in the industry long enough and knows what the driving examiners look for, he takes you where they will take you on your tests and teaches you how to deal with the tricky situations that are present with the Vernon roads.

My friend attended this driving school and I am writing on his behalf. Peter Filas approaches his lessons in a very aggressive and stubborn way. He used foul language and was very critizing towards my friends car. He commented that the car was "not that nice" which was very irrelevant to the lesson and unnecessary. My friend felt stressed out and Peter abruptly took the wheel in multiple occasions and almost caused several accidents. Peters responses to these truthful reviews is very unprofessional and it is very clear that he does not respect his clients privacy. We talked to Service bc shortly after and they stated that they did not recommend him. If you are thinking about getting lessons from this company, please rethink your decision and go with another reliable company. 10/10 do not recommend.

The worst experience ever with Tony Q. He is rude, condescending, an extremely angry person. I signed up my daughter for her G license lessons. He asked for cash payment and when I asked for a receipt quite in a huff tells me that he is been in the business for 25 years. On the first day of lessons he tells my daughter that if she fails the first time she could take it again and failing that she could apply to extend her G2. My daughter was talked down to and spoken in a manner that made a very nervous and upset that she lost confidence. The second lesson was even worse than the first. My daughter refuse to have a 3rd and road test with Tony. I called Tony and said we were pulling out. He got so mad and angry I just could not understand the rage he flew into. When asked for the refund of the balance owing for the unused portion of the lessons, Tony tells me that I had to apologize to him to get the money back. He then was raging over the phone and telling me that he will not give the money and goes on to tell me that I owed him money for the two lessons as he said we did not pay him the $305. Tony was yelling and screaming and calling me "my dear" in a condescending manner. He should not be an instructor taking students on the road with that kind of rage. Awaiting a cheque for $155 that Tony said he'd drop in the mail.

My wife and I decided to put both of our sons through driving lessons with Peter at ABC. Our oldest two years ago and our youngest son just recently (he took his road test today) I have heard stories about how Peter can be hard on his students but in my opinion most people need someone there to push them to do better and that is what Peter does like it or not! My oldest son raved about him and his teaching skills! My youngest was nervous but Peter did an exceptional job preparing both of them for safe travels behind the wheel. Note: both of our boys passed their drivers road test on their first try!

DO NOT go with ABC Driving school! Our experience with them was awful. Deep, my daughter's in car teacher, was late for every single lesson, and I don't mean by a few minutes, by 15 to 90 minutes late, every time! He would have other students in the car at the same time or would cancel at the last minute, always with some excuse. When my daughter showed up for her driving test she was turned away because Deep never inputted the certificate that she had taken driving school, so we wasn't allowed to take the test. Tony and Jane tried to talk a nice game, but they were no help at all. They couldn't give us another instructor when I asked because Deep is the only one for Burlington. They wouldn't refund me for any portion of the cost, though the instruction, the administration, and the customer service was horrible. I can only imagine that the 5 star reviews on here are fake, because there was nothing good about our experience.

Shane was a bit nervous at first, however he started to speak clearly and cohesively on the second day- mind the accent. He was professional and extremely friendly with us :) Moreover, the tips and personal stories he told us added value to the classes. My only problem is that the curriculum can be boring sometimes and that was evident with the amount of students that fell asleep, Shane can't be blamed for this. Overall, my experience was great it felt like I was in the dress rehearsal for a TED Talk.

Tony Q came recommended by a coworker who's wife is a new driver in Canada. My wife did have quite a bit of experience in Europe (5-stage licensing in the country she came from), yet she couldn't pass the G exam, in the corrupt system in Ontario. After doing some digging and at the suggestion of my coworker, we approached Tony who took on the task. He gave my wife an hour and a half lesson after which she took the test with his car. PASSED with flying colours. Enough said!!! Tony is a gentleman, funny, cool character who WILL help you get through your fears, if any, and get the thing passed. I would definitely recommend Tony to anyone. He is worth it!!!!

This driving school is horrible. I never write Google reviews, so trust me, its HORRIBLE. 1 star is too high. They do not care about you as long as they get your money ($500). You are required to pay the full amount by your second in-class lesson, and after they get your $$$ they drop off the face of the earth. I was told that I would be contacted by the school a week after the in-class lessons for further info about my in-car lessons -- no one contacted me. After a week and a half, I finally called the driving school and left a voice message, they sent me a driving instructor's phone number to call via email. I contacted him and he told me he wasn't available for 2 weeks. That was too long for me, so I asked for another instructor. My second instructor said he could only talk to me after 8:00PM and stopped replying to my texts. When I called the school to verify this, the woman on the phone said its because the driving instructors are driving all day, and can only talk to students after 8:00PM. I'm sorry but that is RIDICULOUS. This is a BUSINESS, how are you not available to schedule lessons during BUSINESS HOURS?? I then called the school and asked for a third instructor (note: I am internally annoyed but being outwardly pleasant at this time). I had 1 lesson with my current instructor and it was not good. His demeanor was frantic, and he stressed me out during the lesson. He was not calm or patient at all. I tried to contact him for a second lesson, because at this point I'm just done. And surprise surprise- no response. Learn from my mistake, and pass over this sad excuse for a driving school. They only care about getting your money.

Im sorry to post this. I struggled with posting this, but I feel its important to let other parents know. I booked my son some lessons with Peter, to help fine tune his driving before his test on Sept 3 2020. The first two lesson were ok, but my son did not really care for his teaching style and said he was not very encouraging. I figured my son should just deal with it and booked 2 more lessons. On August 24th 2020 I gave my son 140.00 for the next 2 lessons, and my older son drove him to Vernon for his lesson at 11:30 am. At 11:58 am I get a call at work from my son. My son was very upset. He said Peter was grabbing the steering wheel, when it was not hazardous, and yelling at him during his lesson. My son said he was so upset and stressed that he needed to pull over and get calmed down. When he asked Peter where it was safe to pull over, Peter yelled at him that he should know where to pull over, and Peter indicated where to park. At that point after my son pulled over, my son was so frazzled, he jumped out of the car to get get away from Peter and calm down. At that Peter Filas got into the drivers seat and drove away! He left my son standing in the rain on the corner of 32nd and 35th in Vernon. He just left! He did not try to talk to my son. He did not even call me (the paying parent) to let me know they were having a problem. I texted Peter Filas at 1pm when I had a minute at work and asked him "Did you seriously just leave my son standing in the street?" He called me back right away and argued with me saying my son left the car on his own, and that my son was a adult. (He's 17) He then asked me what was he supposed to do, force him back in the car?? NO! How about trying to talk to my son, or at the very least call/text me immediately to make sure he had a ride back to Armstrong before leaving. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I would think twice about leaving your teen with him. Peter has a lot of good reviews, so I trusted him. However it seems like if it is not a good fit, it can go VERY badly Also, we were not refunded for the lesson he ditched my kid at half way through, and charged me a 70.00 administration fee for canceling the next two apts I had just paid him for. The future apts were more than 3 days away, so I don't understand the cancelation fee. . We felt the need to report Peter Filas and ABC driving school to ICBC and the BBB. In Peters response to the complaint, he lied about the cause of events and accused me of wanting him to force my son back into the car. Which is weird, as he was long gone by our conversation. Very dishonest, and does not take criticism at all. He will blame YOU if there is any problems. *In response : He certainly did leave my son in the street, and I have texts and time stamps on my phone to prove my son called me at 11:58, half way into his lesson after Peter left him on the road.

From the first interaction with the instructor it was awful. I dropped my sister off to take her lesson and we were 5 minutes late because traffic was heavy. We arrive and he wouldn’t stop telling us about how he was about to leave. After my sister was finished she was in tears. He was grabbing the wheel WHILE she was driving. Repeatedly. She’s been driving for 2 years- she knows what she’s doing, she was there to get tips not to be controlled in a situation that was completely safe. Not to mention she couldn’t understand him fully which made communication harder. Just an awful experience all around and we will never be using or recommending this business ever.

Peter took care of everything for me. With both my husband and I working full days in Kelowna, Peter made everything so easy. He picked up my son from school and dropped him off at home afterwards. Our son doesn't drive any of our vehicles, so these lessons were all the lessons he had in driving and he passed the test on his first try. THANKS PETER!!!

They are so busy and it takes too long to complete 10 driving lesson classes on the load. I started June and it is almost November and still not completed yet. On the contract document, it says that it may take 1 year to complete. Do people know about it??? I don't recommend this place if you want to get the license early. Also instructors want students who drive well. If I drive well, why do I need lesson? I believe that teaching students is their job.

Peter left my daughter feeling overwhelmed. He is stressful and hard to communicate with. Also please beware of his refund policy before paying. Update after Peter's response... I hired this man to teach my daughter and he yelled at her and made her more confused than she was to start with. He was unprofessional with me when I called him afterwards as well. My daughter is fully capable of telling me how things went. She has not, nor have I, claimed that she drove perfect. He was supposed to help, instruct and teach her. He did not treat her with respect and did not help her with her driving skills. I will not be bullied into removing this review even though he felt the need to personally name my daughter and list every mistake that may have been made.

Jake is a wonderful and very professional Driving Instructor. A fantastic Instructor for all levels of driving. My husband had not driven a car in over twenty years so he was nervous...Jake really gave him confidence and was honest with what needed to be worked on. I had dealt with a different company that said they could accomadate for weekend driving lessons...for three weeks my husband and I got the run around to the point that I requested a refund. At that time the person told me that because the drivers are independently contracted and because I requested weekends she says she has no control over appointments and I would have a hard time finding any company to accomadate my needs. It was all terrible excuses. I called ABC Driving school and Jake answered all of my questions and he was willing to do an online debit transaction. The company is very official ( car has ABC Driving posted on the vehicle). Jake is not independently contracted so you can count on him. Jake showed up promptly (most times early) and he communicates very well through text. I had lost my confidence because of the dealings with a different driving school...Jake made everything easy. He is very personable. I read google reviews, I asked a lot of questions and he answered all of them (I didn't want to get ripped off again so I was a tough customer for Jake lol). And my husband will gladly call Jake when he finally goes for his G next year (yay!). And I will call Jake when I finally get the nerve and time to start driving. I would recommend Jake to anyone that is looking for a great Instructor.

I hate to give bad reviews but this was incredibly bad. I feel bad for him as many people don't understand but his language is unforgivable and his criticism is unprofessional. Peter repeatedly slammed the brakes for slight mistakes and nearly caused an accident, good things its not my car. I asked to work on certain things but that was unacceptable from his perspective so didn't get to do that.... also he seems to be criticizing everyone who leaves a bad review and can't accept his own actions. Also very unprofessional to disclose your clients names in the reviews. I think his actions on this review site explain pretty well...

Terrible first experience. Peter showed up at my girlfriends house hit another car in the driveway with his driver door as he exited his own car, then needed a spotter to back out of the driveway. Also grabbed the steering wheel viciously out of her hands for no hazardous reason, made her tear up while angry trying to explain something in broken English. Also made her do a 3 point turn in the middle of the road while there was people driving up to the vehicle from the rear instead of waiting for them to pass safely. Sorry about the bad review but experience speaks. Over all in completing the driving school and passing the drivers N exam the first time this driving school definitely does produce results and will further any drivers experience and make them safe or as safe as any individual can be with the experience that they hold. Good job ABC.

Ontop of this I figured out that they didn't put it in the system when I'm at the drivers test center!!! Like common you can't be this terrible at your job

Classes are jammed with desks, barely any space to walk around. Instructor for driving lesson itself was late most of the times, he would have previous student in the back seat for me to drop off during my lesson times. Also had me fuel up the car once and say this was part of the driving lesson. Instruction by this person wasn't well done, his communication and explanations were done poorly; as i would have to ask him to repeat what he meant multiple times.

If I could give less then one star I would! First off nowhere on your website does it stat that you must have a 1 hours lesson to be able to rent the use of your car for the road test, and then to be talked to in such a disrespectful way is beyond unprofessional! I am surprised and disgusted with how you spoke to me and then hung up on me. WOW you should not be in business and I worry with how you treat people who take lessons with you! Shame on you and your loss, I will tell anyone I know not to ever use you or your services. This is Stephanie, and its nice to know how one sided you make it sound. You hung up on me. I was clearly stating that if you had a clause that if a one hour lesson was required to rent your car for a road test why not list that down. Then avoiding calls like the one i made. You could have also spoke kinder and explained it before being coming so short and unprofessional.

Peter is a great instructor. His methods are very effective and if you listen and practice you will pass the test. He is methodical in teaching you good driving habits. Originally I was going to have my wife take fewer lesson, but we followed Peter's advice to take more, and are happy that we did. Just passed my N test earlier today with the help of Peter. When I started I was very unsure of my driving skills and extremely anxious behind the wheel. As an anxious person, it was a little intimidating at the start when he was correcting me or telling me what I was failing to do, but it quickly became apparent that he simply takes driving very seriously and wants to be certain you do as well, that you know what you need to know, that you know where you need improvement and that you drive safely. After that realization it became much less intimidating. Peter is very knowledgable and helped me correct many poor habits I had gained learning to drive with friends and family. He was very clear what I needed to practice on during and at the end of every lesson and it helped me focus on the skills I was lacking when I practiced with my family. I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone that wants an honest, no non-sense, knowledgable instructor.

I just passed my G road test today! I took 5 lessons from Tony Q with the road test package which allowed me to take the test in Tony Q’s car. Tony Q taught me very well and made me feel confident enough to pass my test today. He is honest with all of his students and will point out things you need to work on during and after every lesson to give you the best chance of passing. Don't be deceived by the good reviews. They want you to settle your accounts on the last day of their In-Class. After that, you'll have a hard time scheduling for actual driving lessons. I've been waiting for 1.5 months for my 1st driving lesson and I haven't heard yet from them. The fees should be collected after everything is completed. They don't care much now coz you are fully paid. Wow????
