David was an amazing teacher, he was patient and he was very informative. the booklet that he gives you to review before every lesson helped out a lot. TD driving school is very reliable and have flexible hours! Which is a must if you are planning on using their vehicle for the exam, especially if you are trying to book in a last minute test. I particularly liked having the 45 min lesson right before my exam, as I was very nervous and this lesson before the test helped calm me down. I passed the class 7 road test on the first try, so I am so thankful I had such an awesome instructor.

I had tried to book some driving sessions with David. I had given days and times on my application form as well as tried to set up dates and times with him- Once I had confirmed which times and days worked for me, he had canceled them and offered me random times that were not in my availability. I had asked if there was any other instructors I could book with to which he replied there wasn't. Super unprofessional, and it is questionable that this is a legitimate driving school.

However, in about 6 sessions, he taught me valuable skills and made me into a competent driver. As a result, i passed my class 7 exam on the first try!

I cannot recommend this school enough. Today I passed my N road test with the help of Nancy. Prior to getting lessons with her, I had bad driving anxiety (I am in my 30s and have been putting off getting my license for so long). I was too nervous to be on the road with other drivers, but somehow Nancy made me into the confident driver I am today after 12 lessons. The reviews on Google are true - she is kind, patient and will provide you all the tips/ techniques to pass. Trust me, I am not easy to deal with and she helped me! Good luck everyone! Update: The owner responded and let me know the details of the situation with the switched instructors. Great driving instruction and flexible with appointments and location. I passed my N test on the first try! One thing that could be improved is not having to switch driving instructors and cars last minute for my road test. It was a bit nerve wracking and I would have appreciated continuity. Overall good experience though from Mike and David, and I would recommend to others.

I definitely made the right decision to take 2 classes from TD. Martin Nguyen was my instructor and he is the BEST. He is very professional, always on time and very knowledgable about everything. If you wanna pass your road test from the first time then this is the right place for you! First of all the best communication with The company with David. Secondly, the instructors are all professional and have great knowledge about what you need to know for your road test. I took 5 classes over all 3 were with Scott(the fun guy) and I had an amazing experience and learned a lot about Canadian driving laws. I took 1 class with Henrry professional kind guy. I had an instructor named Henry and he was a pretty good instructor. He is very supportive which helped during the first few lessons. Later on I had forgotten how to park and he was a bit hard on me but it was probably cause he had high expectations from me since I parked perfectly last time. I do recommend learning from them but you might want to pay after the lessons and not before if you feel like you would master driving before using up all your lessons in one of the bigger packages.

I came to this school after failing 5 times at the Richmond Lansdowne location. My instructor David was patient and knowledgeable but he also got to the root of my driving problems and made me see why I failed so many times. This company is professional but also easy going, and what I most like is that they've made driving into a common business, anyone can drive, it's a basic skill. All you need to do is follow A, B, C. Scheduling and payment wise, these guys are super organized and lessons are scheduled well in advance instead of changing things last minute. Their rates are reasonable as well. If your a beginner driver I would definitely recommend TD driving school. I had Martin as an instructor for my class 7 road test and he was great. He was very patience, calm, and encouraging when it came to learning the material for road tests. Overall a super chill guy. I personally liked his method of teaching by going over basic rules of the road before actually driving. It was easy and convenient for me to meet up with his at the skytrain and he had quite the flexible schedule. When it came to the road test I passed on my first try and I know it wasn't luck. Everything Martin went over with me and practiced was exactly on the exam, and the 45 min warm up before actually taking the exam was really helpful. It was great having Martin as an instructor!

I meant to leave a review a while back but a friend just asked me who I used to help me get my driver's license and I realize that I should write a review about my experience. I used TD Driving School. My instructor was John. I highly recommend him. He was very good. I never got around to getting my license until I was in my 30s. I got my license first try. John was super helpful, had lots of experience and was just positive all around when he had to critique or give me feedback while on the road. I gained a lot of confidence and I'm glad I didnt skip this step of getting a really good driving school to help me get my licence. I'll definitely be using them again to get my full licence in a couple of months to help me brush up before the final test.

He is a very patient teacher and will let you know all the things you need to work on to pass the test. Martin was an amazing instructor and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to get their license. They can provide you the car to do the test with and it is really helpful to do the test with the same car you've been practicing with. The warm-up class right before the test is a really good chance to clear up last-minute doubts, get a bit of the anxiety out and get confident you can do it (also, a good chance to make the "I'm just nervous" kind of mistakes and get them out of the way so you don't do them in the actual test ????). I was super anxious at first, but he was super patient and relaxed, explained everything and gave feedback very calmly. As we went along he would adjust our sessions to make sure we were practicing whatever needed the most work, and by the time I had my test, I was feeling relatively comfortable with almost everything. You'll want to learn from this school! After failing 3 times on my N driving test, I took the 4 lessons + review&car rental package, and passed! ???? My experience was stellar. Considering Covid-19, they ensured that the students and instructors wore masks, sanitizing products, and gloves. I had Nancy as my instructor and she was very detailed, articulate, and had great time-management through all my lessons. She was strict but fun, which was exactly what I needed to correct the small (but numerous) bad habits I had. So much better than a previous driving school I went with that was much more expensive and too relaxed. I took my test in Burnaby which many friends didn't recommend - and they were right, my test involved construction, busy streets, and many pedestrians - but the lessons I got from TD Driving took me through all of that, and I never felt completely unprepared for any part of the test. Thank you also to David for doing my review session before the test, in that short time he taught me so many great tips and tricks that also helped me to pass. I'll definitely try to take lessons again before getting my class-5!

I had an awesome experience with TD, and had just the best teacher I could imagine - Henry. To begin with, I had shopped around a few schools and requested info online, and TD got back to me within 1 day - by the time some other schools replied to my enquires I had already signed up with TD. My teacher, Henry, was very flexible, one time I confirmed the wrong pickup location and he came and met me elsewhere without a fuss, and multiple times due to my work I had to rearrange classes at short notice, which he never made an issue of. He was super knowledgeable of the area, and really took me everywhere that I ended up going on the actual day of the road test. He had a lot of knowledge of the whole process and really was instrumental in me getting my license within 6 weeks of my first class. Above everything else, he was always calm and really friendly and classes were serious but fun. I’m really happy I ended up choosing this school, it was money and time well spent.

used their services for class 7 and 5 road tests recently, had different instructors both times and both were well educated about rules to follow for the tests. for my first class 7 road test i actually used young drivers and did not like the experience with the instructor because he chatted too much during the lessons instead of focusing on my driving and i didn’t pass. they also kept changing my dates and times for my lessons which was very unprofessional. that’s why i decided to use td driving the second time because they offer better prices than young drivers and the instructors are more professional. i passed my class 7 right away after i switched to td. i also like that it was super easy to get in contact with them and set up a lesson. they contact you over text message which is very fast and simple and they reply right away when you text them. im not being paid or endorsed in any way to write this review i just wanted to help out people who are looking for a good driving school so that they don’t waste their money because i know how expensive this business can be here in BC lol.

The instructors provide students with hand sanitizer before and during the driving lesson, and the cars look very clean. I passed the test on first try! Overall incredible experience! My family was reluctant on allowing me to use their car for practice so I decided to sign up for TD driving school. My instructor Nancy was very calm and encouraging. Her guidance removed my nerves as she gives ample time in telling you what to do next (e.g. Turn left then we will go into the upcoming parking lot). She responds to text messages quickly and always sends a reminder text the night before for confirmation on the next lesson. Any concerns or worries, she will write it out on the pamphlet she gives you and even draw a doodle car to give you a visual. Nancy even tells you where on the mirrors to evaluate your distance (e.g. Look in this mirror when you are backing up...once your door handle 'touches' this part of the mirror, begin turning your wheel this way...). The visuals and 'point of references' she gives are super helpful as my family's car is a small van and her car is a smaller one but I found that her tips applied for both car sizes. By the end of the "package" I had purchased with her, I was able to do parallel parking seamlessly! Due to COVID, the only place that worked with the timeline was Point Grey Licensing Branch (even though the lessons were held in Burnaby). She still met me an hour before my test and she allowed me to drive to the licensing branch from Burnaby as a pre-test warm up. Honestly, one of the greatest investments. If you're nervous, have anxiety about driving, or don't possess a car to practice with - TD driving is one of the best things you can commit to! Thank you Nancy & the TD team! ????

I don't do well with negative feedback, but Vince only has positive things to say and is so friendly while being informative. Even when I did something wrong, he says let's try that again and points out what you did well on and what you can do better next time. He also makes little study packages of information that the TD driving school doesn't provide, tailored to what you can specifically improve on instead of learning the whole book cover to cover. I can't recommend him enough, I really enjoyed learning from him.

Starting with Martin, patient and strict at the same time, David was always available and accommodating my lessons with my tight schedule with a full-time job, part-time job and school. I decided to go to TD Driving School after a friend recommended them to me. He attempted to pass the road test a few times, but after going to TD he was finally able to pass. I myself failed my first road test after going to a subpar driving school, so I decided to give TD a try. I wasn't sure which package was right for me as I was already an experienced driver, but I just wasn't sure how experienced. So TD advised me to do an assessment first to gauge my current driving skill so they can recommend the best package for me. My assessment was with Henry who would go on to be my driving instructor. Henry conducted a fair and accurate assessment of my driving skills. He was honest and didn't try to recommend extra lessons I didn't need. Henry is an excellent driving instructor and I would suggest trying to get lessons with him if you can. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He is able to explain things in a clear and simple way. Before having lessons with Henry, I thought parallel parking was some complicated manoeuvre to perform, but after Henry explained how to do it, I now find parallel parking quite easy. He is also very punctual and will not double book with other students. Scheduling with TD Driving School is easy, and they use high quality cars that are reliable in any weather conditions. I was able to pass my road test in the pouring rain without any issues whatsoever. Henry and TD Driving School gave me the skills and confidence needed to pass my road test, and I highly recommend them to anyone trying to get their N.

I took my driving lessons with Scott, within only a few lessons including on the day of my road test - I passed with 100% perfect score, 0 mistakes made!! I want to thank him so much for teaching me exactly what I needed to know in order to succeed. Scott has incredible comprehension when it comes to explaining driving technique, what to look for, and provided me with knowledgeable & memorable insights. Scott gave me the confidence I needed to succeed by supporting me through my lessons with his positive attitude and encouragements. I came in to driving very anxious about it (I've been so terrified to drive I put it off until 30), but Mike was very patient and kind with me. I took 8 lessons, 4 with Mike and 4 with Scott. They were both wonderful instructors and helped me tremendously with my driving skills and confidence in driving. Mike taught me the basics and helped me ease into driving, he is very calm and friendly, and gives a lot of freedom with the car. Scott refined my driving and gave really good tips for everything. He knows a lot and about the different routes you take around Burnaby and boosted the confidence I had in my driving immensely. He made me feel very comfortable from the get go and even had the confidence in me to pass my class 7 road test. If you get these guys, know you will learn a lot. Thank you to my 2 instructors!

I had 4 lessons with Henry before taking my Class 7 road test. He's a very kind and supporting person, but I had a really hard time understanding him during the lessons. He would sometimes get annoyed with me when he didn't explain something clearly and I didn't understand. He was also on his phone a lot. When I asked for help with specific things, I often didn't get it. For example, I told him I had trouble changing lanes, but didn't get any direct instruction. I brought many examples of this up to my partner, and I learnt more during an hour driving and asking questions with them. For example, that to change lanes, you're supposed to look in your mirror, signal, then shoulder check (yes, I was not taught this with the instructor). During the lesson before the road test, I told Henry that I didn't feel confident during the reverse stall parking. Instead of using that time to practice it, we pulled into the testing location 10 minutes before check in and had time to do it twice. At the beginning of the road test, the invigilator also asked me if I knew how to 3 point turn, which we never practiced. At that point, I knew that I wouldn't pass haha. The invigilator let me know what to practice, which I found really helpful. However, instead of going over this with me, Henry tried to blame my fail on my nervousness, instead of acknowledging that there were things he didn't teach me and some things that I need to practice.

I did 15 driving lesson with Jeff, it was a great experience he is funny/chill guy and is very good teacher. He has good patience with the client and go in detail to everything he teaches. Made sure I learned what I needed to work on the most. I would definitely recommend him to any beginner driver. With that being said I passed on my first Road test.

Sunny was very patient and helpful. As a newbie driver, I am constantly nervous. But he kept reassuring me. He took me to the roads that were similar to the actual test. He is not stingy with his time (ie: other driving school that I had in the past stole a few minutes - instructor was 5 minutes late but did not compensate, instructor playing with his phone, etc). But Sunny was always early to our appointment and pays full attention while teaching. I would definitely say it was worth spending money here!

After I failed for the road test with my first attempt, I decided to look for a driving school company in order to improve my driving skills and I am very happy with my choice. I had 3 sessions with David and 1 session with Sunny plus an hour drive with David before the test. Both guys were amazing. They really pay attention to every detail during each session in order for you to be ready for the day of the test. They also make their best for you to feel as confident as possible. On top of that, the rates of the company are very competitive. So, you have the quantity (with more hours than most of the others company) and also high qualified instructors. It is the best combo possible and that is the reason why I passed the test successfully. Thanks again to TD Driving School for their help!

Great value, great instructor, amazing lessons! I took the H package (10 90min lessons + 60min warm up for day of test). This package came at a considerably lower cost than that of other driving schools in my area. Before starting my lesson package, I hadn’t driven a car since I first got my L 5 years ago. Henry is a fantastic instructor, who gives empowering feedback and good advice that really helped me see immediate improvement in such a short period of time.
