So far not so good! I got my son enrolled as soon as he turned 14...I figured we would do the class so he would have the permit and not have to go take the test at the dmv.... He took the class 3 weeks ago and was suppose to get his slip so we could just go to the dmv to get his picture taken and then official permit. They messed up our address so they said they would get it fixed and send it by the following Tuesday. Have called 4-5 times...the lady has said that it was sent, it was sent...still nothing! Today she tells me she is out All week, but will let me know?! I don't want t"o know", I want what we paid for! The paperwork we need to get his permit so he can legally start driving! I would NOT recommend this place...we went here because they were recommended.. I should have gone to Kennedy! *** I am waiting to see how this all plays out and am very willing to update my review! I do not often leave bad reviews, I just do not feel as if calling is making any leeway!

We had a very positive experience with Midwest Driving School. The class was great and made it so convenient not to have to take the written test at the DMV. My daughter's driving instructor was Brandy. She was absolutely amazing. She was both patient and fun and helped my daughter so much. She was also very helpful to me as a parent answering my question since this is my oldest child and have not been through the process yet. She went above and beyond what was expected. We love her. At the end of the driving experience, the certificate they gave us helped my daughter not have to take the driving test with the DMV as well. That alone is worth the cost of the class. I would recommend Midwest Driving School to any of my friends who have children ready to learn to drive.

I really liked our class instructor Johnny, who was very patient with my noisy cohort (I was the only non-academic student). Bill, my driving instructor, was very calm as he explained the turns, the speeds, and the signs we came across during driving classes. He also takes you around town which helps you not only get familiar with the roads, but also provides you some entertainment so you don't panic too much. He is pretty chill too. Ms. Joyce was nice and like family, handling the chaos of enrollment by herself. Highly recommended. :)

They said they would email us on Saturday the day I took my drivers ed course. No email came that day. Then the next day still no email. And then Monday an email came saying I had to fill out a forum they should have came 2 days earlier. I called and they said that they had a full email, I didn’t believe it because an email doesn’t run out of storage if you take care of it properly. My email has over 6000 messages and I can still find what I need.

My driving instructor, Bill was very kind of how I was and making sure I did everything right and gave fist bumps whenever I would nail something right. The class had a good amount of lessons but whenever I took the written tests I just about knew everything on it.

My daughter utilized Midwest driving school to pass her written and driving tests and really liked her instructor, Mr Johnny Beane. She took it over a year ago to obtain her permit, but her permit had expired. We went back to the DMV to figure out what all we’d need to get her unrestricted license and were told we had to take the written, vision, and driving test. Once there, the DMV said “we have record of you taking the test, if you could find proof, that’s all you really need, provided you trust her driving”. After searching for the completion certificate, we couldn’t find our copy so we called Midwest to see if they had a copy by any chance. DMV wasn’t doing any driving tests that day because the roads were covered in snow/ice, so we’d either need to find it or come back at a later date and redo everything. The wonderful lady I spoke with on the phone was snowed in and said she’d do her best to get into the office and provide what we needed and asked for all my daughter’s pertinent info to help locate her records. I followed up anxiously about an hour and a half later and she was still stranded (and provided pictures as if I needed proof) but informed me that her husband was on the way. Shortly thereafter I received the images we were needing and my daughter has her license. My daughter was well prepared and has been a great driver thanks to the help provided by Johnny. The lady I spoke to has to be the wife of the owner because of how they went WELL above and beyond to provide a simple request that had to really be a significant inconvenience given the weather, etc. I would definitely recommend Midwest Driving School to ANYONE needing instruction and/or help with their driving or obtaining their license!

Then would then explain with good detail on how to fix it. While parking he explained everything well and helped me as I parked. He also taught the class. Which was informative and helpful. Wonderful experience for my daughter! Although she was the youngest, she never felt out of place. She was very fortunate to have Johnny for the classroom instructor and driving instructor. She was a ball of nerves all morning and within 15-20 minutes he had her feeling comfortable behind the wheel. He is a true gem, had not heard any less and I know why. I was pleased that the responsibility of scheduling the drive time was between the student and instructor. There is no regrets in spending the extra money on this class than doing the drivers ed in school. I would highly recommend!

My experience with this driving school was very much needed. We used them for our daughter. The online permit class was fine but the issues came when she did her behind the wheel. They texted the morning of her appointment and had to push the time back an hour due to a flat tire, no big deal. But she said when they arrived she smelled a horrible burning smell. 30 minutes into her lesson I get a phone call that they are stranded on the side of the road because the tire started smoking. Session was ended early. Next morning, different car, the check engine light was on the whole time and an hour and a half into the session they had to stop at a gas station to add water to the engine. (My daughter turned around and they had both just left her standing there while they went inside! 15 year old standing by herself at a gas station on the side of an interstate!!) Once is one thing but two different cars back to back tells me they don’t maintain their fleet. I wish that was all. There were two instructors in the car, the guy in the front seat would tell her to do something (turn left for example) and the lady in the back would say the opposite. He would tell my daughter she needed to signal out of a round about, the lady would say no she didn’t. This happened the whole time. My daughter was left more confused than before she started. Towards the end of the lesson we noticed on our tracking app that they were stopped at what appeared to be a house in the middle of no where. My daughter texts me to tell me she was at the owners home because the lady needed to get her paper saying she completed the program. That took about 20+ minutes of what was supposed to be driving time. The entire driving time was spent on country roads and highways. Zero in town driving because as they told her, they “weren’t comfortable in Topeka because they aren’t from there”. Our experience was extremely disappointing and surprising based on the many positive reviews they have received. However I felt compelled to be honest and share our experience.
