Larry was very kind and helpful. He didn't make me feel nervous at all. The original owner Tom Wall was my driver Ed Teacher in the late 90's and well my license was expired for to long so I had to take a road test today and it was fun comparing the company for the early Days until now.

This is very unprofessional. None of them were being understanding to the situation.I sat in the rain for an hour just for this to happen . I tried multiple times to get in contact with them the day of my test and no one ever answered . I got a refund for almost $300 from them but they can’t even give me a refund for $69 when they were at fault . I see why their reviews are so bad , hopefully they get shutdown . I am not the first person you all did this too , and I surely won’t be the last DO NOT I REPEAT DONT COME HERE ! ( the on star is literally only Bc they gave me a refund for the classes I paid for that I didn’t get to do Bc of covid and sadly I had to call n ask )

I had Larry Thompson as my instructor and I don't think he could have done a better job if he tried, he explained what I was expected to do for the parking portion very clearly, he was very nice about everything, during the actual road test, he let me know when to turn well ahead of time, and even though I messed up at some parts, it was never because of him, if you're in the ann arbor Michigan area and are looking to take your road test, I highly recommend trying to get an appointment with him

My testing instructor, Larry, was very good at communicating the directions of the test, which made things easier. He was on time and very professional. I scheduled a road test for October back in August. A week before my road test I was called and told that it had to be cancelled due to lack of instructors. I was given no other information on if I could reschedule or if I would be refunded and then they hung up. Since then, I've emailed twice and had no response. I've called multiple times and almost every time apparently there's 30+ people calling as well? This seems unlikely. They tell you to press * to wait in line, and the moment I do that the call hangs up, almost as if its designed to not let you stay on the line. The one time the call went through I was told that I would be contacted soon and my test would be within a month from that day. That was a month ago and have received no communication. Have not even been refunded. Extremely disappointed with them.

I just took my driving test at All Star with Larry as my instructor. He really helped to put me at ease with his warm, kind, and clear guidance and feedback. Honestly Larry's service couldn't have been better. Whether or not you work with All Star for Segments 1 & 2 of drivers ed, it's worth signing up there for your test. Speaking of which, I did take Segments 1 & 2 with All Star, and I would recommend it. It was a good experience overall, my Segment 1 classroom instructor Todd was wonderful, and the only reason I haven't left 5 stars is because I didn't feel quite so consistently relaxed with every road instructor as I did with Larry on the test. But that's a high standard, and again, I recommend it overall.

They are Liars and Scammers. Run away. This company is not trustworthy. In June they took my money for an August 3rd segment one class in North Farmington High School. On July 29th they cancelled the class due to COVID. I requested a refund, but instead of promptly issuing a refund they are feeding me (via email) with promises and excuses. This is absolutely unacceptable and dishonest. After nearly three weeks of waiting I opened a dispute with my credit card company. By the way, it looks like the company is folding: they don't answer phone calls at all. If they owe you money for a cancelled class, don't wait! Open a dispute with your credit company.

Dorinda Watson was very helpful and got right back to me with answers to my questions. Thank you! But I want to address an issue with administration or whoever sends out e-mails about classes. In the future, please send e-mails to parents with the heading of "TIME CHANGE" - it was not apparent to me that the class time changed from 5-7 from 6-8pm so my son signed on and missed the first hour of class. We then had to completely re-schedule him. The time change was buried in an e-mail and it was not very visable when scanning the e-mail.

My daughter has been doing the online drivers education for the past couple weeks and she's getting kicked off telling her she's reached her limit for the day. She only completed one section 40 minutes not 4 hours before it says that. We've called to report it and told it's fixed, only for it to keep happening. I would not recommend doing this online education.

All 3 of my kids went through All Star drivers training and road tests. Our collective experience has been excellent. The company sets forth policy clearly and is happy to answer questions. My kids were able to find a convenient time after school for both classroom sessions and driving times. All very professional and easy online registration. When it came time for the road test, all kids had Larry Thompson. Directions were clearly stated in a calm manner that really helped the kids through a very nervous day. Extremely kind and professional. All paperwork was handled in an orderly way and questions were throughly answered. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend All Star driving and Larry Thompson for all your driving training needs.

You pay a lot for the class, but they treat you like dirt. They're rude and demanding, and don't seem to like or trust students. They seem to run the class for their own convenience, rather than for the convenience of students and their families. I would not recommend them.

We used their parent-taught driver's education program, but one of the videos was rather frightening to a new driver plus the customer service staff was rude. The biggest problem, however, was that we had to use the on-the-road instructions from another program because All Star didn't have one!
