I didn't plan to leave a review, but I'm leaving one just to shoutout Noel. I had him for my third and final lesson, and I cannot emphasize enough how good he is at helping you improve your driving and be prepared for your test. Here's some context first: Lesson 1, I had Emilio, who was cool and took me out on the road for the first time. He was patient and helpful, and he made me feel safe when all I'd done before that was parking lot laps. He was really particular with my parking, which was good -- it just made me better. Lesson 2, I had an instructor named John. Personally, he didn't help me: he didn't correct my driving much and mainly just talked. At times he'd seize my wheel and move it for me instead of verbalizing how I could improve. I don't want to speak badly of him -- he was nice -- but I really didn't learn anything during that lesson, nor did I feel like I had gotten my money's worth. So by lesson 3, I was pretty behind. I'm so, so grateful I had Noel teaching me for my last lesson. When we started, I told Noel my test was the next day, and he picked up pretty quickly that I wasn't as ready as I should've been. He caught me up on stuff John didn't go over with me AND helped me prep for my test; he gave me additional resources to study, advice for my specific DMV, and went over the score sheet with me. He improved my driving a ton in just 2 hours. At some point I told him that if I passed my test tomorrow (which was earlier today at Santa Teresa), then he was a god. I don't know if Noel is ever gonna see this, but dude, you're a god. Passed my test today with 2 mistakes. I'd give Advantage about 3 stars because of some strange customer service experiences I had and my second lesson, but Noel is just so awesome. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a patient, knowledgable, and constructive instructor. He seriously goes above and behind! Emilio is a great guy too.

My son took all his behind the wheel training with Advantage Driving School. I loved how easy it was to start the process. They have online system for appointments, but I always just called the office to schedule his lessons. The office staff is polite and helpful. The driving instructors were all very nice. My son did a lot of practice outside of his lessons with Advantage, so the behind the wheel lessons just confirmed his good habits and prepared him for his test. He passed his driver's license test on the first try!!! If we needed to do more instruction I would definitely sign up with Advantage Driving School.

They picked my daughter up after school- I had a name and a pick up spot and after 2 hours she drove to the house at the end of the lessons. She aced the written exam after the 3 day class, but alas needed to sit the driving part twice- but no fault of the driving school. 3 different hands on driving teachers, my daughter says were all good.

I'm giving them 2.5 stars. I used this company for my daughter 2 1/2 years ago and they were great. Easy to schedule, the instructors showed up on time and my daughter enjoyed it, for the most part. So I decided to use them again for my son and it's been a complete pain to schedule and/or reschedule. NO ONE ever answers the phone during their business hours, NO ONE ever calls me back when I've needed to change the pick up address or reschedule an appointment. Twice now I've wasted an hour of my time trying to get through to someone, thinking if I waited long enough on the phone that a customer service rep would eventually answer the phone, but NO. My son has had 2 of the 3 training sessions and he's gotten mixed information on some of the rules of the road. Makes no sense! Luckily, he only has one more training session and I will never have to use this company again......their customer service is awful!!!

100% would recommend, especially Celine as your driving instructor. When I got my permit, I was a nervous wreck. I could only go around 5-10 MPH…not even an exaggeration. On my first driving lesson with Celine, she talked to me as a friend rather than an instructor, which really calmed my nerves. Throughout the drive, she gave me advice and tips (how to brake gently, exaggerated head turns, traffic checks) to help advance my driving skills. She also encouraged me to battle my fear of the freeway and merging. As I approached the freeway, she calmly explained to me how to adjust my speed according to traffic, check for cars when merging, etc. With her simple, concise instructions, I became more accustomed to freeway driving as a beginner driver. As I said before, she creates a positive, open environment where her students can drive stress-free without the pressure of being perfect all the time. Remember your instructors do not expect perfection. They know how to handle student drivers, especially anxious teenagers like myself. On my last lesson with her, she had me do a mock driving test and gave me corrections and told me what to expect from the examiner. She clarified any doubts I had about the test and truly prepared me for the actual test. I passed the Santa Teresa driving test on the first try just last week.

I hired Advantage for my 2nd teen driver. I loved all of my experience with them starting from the appointment booking all the way to the last lesson. They even allow payment to be split up into 3 separate payments, which no other company allows. They were quick to respond, the instructors are super nice and friendly and they were never too busy to address my questions. Highly highly recommend! Update: she passed her test at LG, apparently one of the more difficult courses, with only 1 mark off! Thank you advantage!

Great instruction for seniors. My father is a senior who was in an accident last year. He was required to take a driving safety test. Despite quite a bit of practicing beforehand, he did not pass the test. We decided that taking a couple of lessons might help him. From the moment we phoned this school, we felt good about them. They were very professional on the phone, and were able to address the issues for seniors. They assigned an instructor Jeff, who specializes in working with seniors. My Dad liked Jeff, and said he was very helpful, especially in dealing with the areas he missed on his previous test. When I took him out for practice, he kept saying "Jeff told me to do this." Today, my Dad passed his test. Afterword, he said he could not have passed it without Jeff. When I was calling the various driving schools, most of them are not licensed to teach seniors, so it's great that Advantage was able to teach him.

I had done both classroom instruction to fulfill the requirements to take the written test and driver's training (behind the wheel) with Advantage, and overall they're just great. I passed my written test (Tully DMV) and behind the wheel test (ST/Martinvale DMV) on my first attempt. I credit this to Advantage's instructors, they're all nice people, and down to the point in the process of driving. My only criticism is their online drivers ed. When I started out on the online drivers ed, it was so incredibly long! However that may be a personal thing on my part. Advantage is a great driver's school, and I regret nothing choosing them over others. S/O to Erin, Anton, and Hassell!

This driving school is awesome! I heard about them from a friend, called them up, and had no problem getting my son on their schedule. The instructor picked up my son at our house which was very convenient for me. I also like that the last appointment was planned out so that the instructor and my son went over what would probably be covered during the behind-the-wheel driver's test. This helped prepare my son so that he was not too nervous the day he took his test, which he passed! Yay!

I found this to be a great in classroom drivers training school. My son wanted to do the on line course like most of his friends, but I’m old school and like in classroom instruction where you can have discussions and interaction with other people and their experiences. I signed him up. He wasn’t happy at first, but he thanked me after the first day. He really enjoyed the program and the people. I had scheduled his written permit test on the Monday following the last Sunday’s class so he would be fresh. He passed only missing a few answers. I scheduled his first BTW training 2 days after he passed his permit exam. His BTW instructor suggested to spread out the next two BTW training sessions. The last one to be a couple of weeks before the BTW driving test at the DMV. It worked out well, my son passed his BTW text at the DMV missing only 2. He now has his drivers license. The only fault with Atvantage Driving School is their calendar scheduling of the BTW training. They do not have more than a couple of weeks of appointments available because they are never sure who will be working what days and times. When I called to book my son’s appointments I had a hard time scheduling him with the same BTW instructor. I wanted him to have the same instructor for consistency, especially when it was the last appointment before his BTW DMV driving test. Advantage will send you a confirmation, but not until a day or two before the scheduled appointment. Even though you have requested a specific BTW instructor and been verbally told you had that appointment day and time with the instructor you requested. You don’t always get who you ask for when they send the confirmation. So be specific about who you want if that is important to you and your child and your schedule, because you might have to reschedule. Request a confirmation and make sure it is who you asked for.

My daughter took her driving DMV test in Los Gatos, however, did not pass, but I heard (no one) passes at this location! We had a very rude and not friendly instructor, not even a hello. I heard they try to collect an additional fee for the second go around, so beware.

My first driving instructor had to reschedule and was late to the appointment. HOWEVER, that was not a problem at all because there was prior notice and the instructor communicated with me so I knew that she would be late, and let me know her ETA. Life happens, and I wasn't ghosted and left in the dark. I scheduled another lesson with a different instructor, waited 20 minutes for him to show up, and nobody showed up. i tried calling the office but no one picked up. i ended up going to the office myself at 11:20am ish and it was closed even though the hours say they close at 12. Super disappointed.

I already knew how to drive before I even enrolled in their courses. Without these courses, I wouldn't have passed my drivers test (with a perfect score). They taught me all the rules of the road and they taught me how to pass. The instructors were very knowledgable and they told be able each DMV location and all the curveballs they would throw at you. For instance, my instructor told me of the curveballs Alma DMV would throw and what Santa Teresa DMA would throw, etc. I would highly recommend them. They are very nice and supportive. I took my test at Alma and my instructor REALLY emphasized all the curveballs they'd throw at me. He even went to the lengths of sending me a screen shot of the road where they'd take me to attempt and fail me. And guess what? My proctor took me to the exact spot that my instructor told me about. If it weren't for him, I would have failed. I don't remember what his name was but he was some Indian guy with an Integra

Each driver taught my son different aspects of the road, car, and rules. Their prices beat most, as one friend said she spent over $1500 for lessons. They picked him up at school, drove around for two hours, and delivered him home each time. It make my life easy.

It was extremely difficult to get appointments because: 1) the website didn’t work unless I was in Firefox or Chrome. Not even on my phone. I got NaN and null information for the date and time. 2) I had to select each individual instructor to see their available times instead of being able to see them all at once or in some sort of calendar form. 3) Appointments weren’t available for almost 2 months that weren’t during the day or on weekends. 4) Majority of available slots were during school hours which isn’t great for a 16 year old. Other issues: 1) We got random confirmation emails days, weeks, months after canceling and rescheduling appointments. I will say my son loved Albert, his instructor, which is awesome because seemed to be the only one with afternoon time slots so that was lucky.

I did NOT even get a chance to go on the first driving lesson before i received a text message that one of my appointments got canceled and i had to reschedule, fine. Please, if you care about your safety and the safety of others, do NOT take lessons with ADRIAN VO! Please read this entire review, I am genuinely worried for people's safety and do not want something similar to happen to other people. I see a lot of good reviews mentioning him, but they aren't recent, so maybe Adrian used to be good and now isn't anymore? Adrian taught me what I thought was correct information--only for my dad and also the DMV test administrator to panic and fear for their lives. They told me that I had been taught completely incorrectly, and showed me the actual CORRECT ways of driving. We almost got into a CAR ACCIDENT because of me following what Adrian taught me, and I am NOT exaggerrating. My dad noticed how much worse a driving I became after taking Adrian's lessons, and now I'm busy correcting myself and learning from a new instructor at another driving school, as well as looking online for tips. I have a LOT to correct myself on after Adrian introduced me to a ton of misinformation.

I recommend this place for many reasons, first, when I book the classes for my child I called several places, all of them needed to pay in advance, and online, book online and no cancellations, this one I was able to book over the phone and find the best times for me and my child, they didn't demand to be paid in advance, you pay to the instructor the day of the class when picks up the child with check or cash but if you want you can pay online too, you have the option to cancel with at least 24 hours. Instructors are very professional, they give confidence to the child, advice for the test, etc. they really use the 2 hour class and the best of all is that the child really learn.

My son recently did in class driver's ed and behind the wheel training with Adrian .....He is awesome ..My son loved him He is excellent at teaching rules and laws of the road as well as making it comfortable while instilling confidence. .Ruth & Joy in the office are FABULOUS and go above and beyond to accommodate.Thank you Adrian Ruth and Joy . John & Adrian are the 2 best instructors. Ask for them ,you won't be sorry.

I would definitely recommend Noel as your driving instructor, I was lucky enough to be taught by him. If I could I would have given him more than 5 stars for sure, he is so good at teaching new students how to drive for the first time and teaching them new skills to become a good driver and to pass the driving test. He explained everything very throughly to help me understand and made sure I knew what I was doing. I also really enjoyed the conversations we had and he has such a good sense of humor trust me. Over all my experience was really exciting and beyond great I was so happy with it. :)

I am very dissatisfied. I was told by the business that they do not communicate with their drivers which astonished me considering how much this service cost. Cristina Guillen was rude, unpleasant and hung up on me and my daughter twice. Claimed she received the wrong address from Advantage and then when we provided her our address claimed she didn’t serve our area. Marilyn Leon was late and ended our lesson 45 minutes early. I DO NOT recommend this driving school and urge anyone who is considering to keep checking.

Overall, the experience was good. I had two kids going through simultaneously. I was promised a twin rate, but I don’t think I got it—still a good deal. Communication was good, I’m willing to overlook a couple of instances due to the COVID-19 pandemic...lots of scheduling and rescheduling...couple times without notification. They each had the same instructors, but a different one for each lesson. Two out of the three of them were very personable and made them feel comfortable and received positive feedback, the other not so much.

From the moment I called them for my first driving lesson to the last lesson I had with them, everything was amazing. All instructors were nice and fun, especially the last instructor I had, I think his name was John Wright, he was amazing and had some amazing stories. But most importantly, he taught me some important tips before taking my behind-the-wheel test and he helped me get all the documents needed for the test.

Advantage Driving School is honestly great. The instructors are pretty chill and nonchalant. They’re very nice and are patient with you driving. Some cool instructors are Daniella and Adrien!!! They give good tips in driving, help out in problems you have, and are pretty friendly. They’re always on time to pick you up and make sure you’re comfortable. I really recommend this place :)

Lessons were helpful and my son passed his behind the wheel test the first time. Good that one of the instructors told him to say out loud when he was checking lanes. Instructors should also remind students to be obvious or say out loud that they check the rear view mirror. DMV testers are looking for this as well.

I learned a lot more than I should've to passed my behind the wheel driving test, for example I learned some tips for driving in my area of where I live, also I practiced driving on the freeway and my distance and speed I should be going at different weather conditions and traffic conditions. Finally I learned everything I needed to learn to pass my behind the wheel test with the as minimal errors as possible (4 errors) on my first try. I would like to thank both Eric and Adrian for helping me improve my driving skills!

Negative review. The instructor did not showed up on the first day of driving lesson without explanation. I had called the office and they too did not get a notification from the instructor that she's unable to work on that day. I was asked to reschedule the lesson but decided to cancel the lesson and choose somewhere else. Very disappointed with their unprofessionalism.

I took three lessons here and thought I was being taught correctly but I wasted my money. When I took my dmv driving test, I failed because this driving school taught me all wrong. Do not waste your money here too and just learn yourself. Extremely upset now. Even my dmv driving test proctor told me I waisted my money here because she told me they are always teaching wrong and none of the teachers here are trained or certified.

Advantage Driving School helped my daughter get her license. After 6 months of my instruction she still did not have the skills to pass her test. We explained her experiences during the failed test and they took her out and went over the correct actions to take in areas that she had problems. She passed her next test.
