Giles was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, keeping me alert at all times but also creating a comfortable environment in which I could learn and practice to the best of my ability. Back in September, 2017, they backed out of providing private lesson and car for the road test for G just 3 days before. And they did not inform me and I only came to know about it because I was texting for confirmation. Very annoying and unprofessional.

Had an issue with an instructor grabbing the wheel and trying to force me to go on the 401 when I said I wasn't ready. Now the school isn't dealing with the issue and won't return my calls the person who is in the office says thy can't help. For the money I paid it would be nice to be treated with a bit more respect and be able to return a phone call .

A horribly run driving school. Perpetually 10 - 15 minutes late for appointments. They'll charge you for a lesson if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, but they have no qualms cancelling on you with less than 15 minutes notice (and they cancel quite frequently). Their scheduling skills are bloody awful. I don't know what the other driving schools are like, but I highly recommend against this one.

Poor technology. Had to restart from the very beginning of a slide bc I kept getting a question wrong, therefore it froze. Would not recommend dealing with them.

I passed drive test in my first attempt jus because my instructor was Giles White. I can say this because I had experience with other instructors(2) in first route itself, from that I would recommend Giles. He is the best , he do his job 100% efficiently. He teaches with the best techniques and that would help us to drive with more confidence, Also his scheduling for classes is awesome , try to accommodate according to our flexibility and I never heard any cancellation of classes from him or changing the time at last moment. If you have an option Ask for Giles.

This course was one of the cheaper courses available in my area, and yet I found they more than exceeded my expectations. The classes were made fun and very informative, for both the teenagers and adults taking the course. My driver instructor, Brandon, was very calm, very patient, and talked me through everything that I needed to know. I was very anxious to start driving, and through the in class and driving lessons I have become more comfortable driving. I have, and will continue to, recommend this course to anyone looking for a driving course.

Amazing! I passed my road test today on the first try! I am thrilled that this place is located very close for me; it is only a 15-20 minute walk from my house. The prices are great and the people are great. I took the 10-driving lesson package that includes the 20 hours of in-class work and 10-hours of in-car driving. These 10 lessons are just enough for a newbie driver to get comfortable when still having minimal driving experience elsewhere (less than 5 hrs). In this course, I had two instructors; Scott and Brandon. Scott was the first guy who got the jitters of driving in Kingston out of me for the first time. He got me to focus on the road ahead, as well as the technicalities of turning. As for Brandon, he's a friendly, patient guy. He fixed my right turns, making them more narrow than before. He has this laid-back and chill vibe about him but still makes sure you're learning! During each lesson, he corrected my right turns about 5-7 times and did the same with the left turns, then moved on to parking and pulling up behind cars, next to a pole, etc. And I love how he told me that he might be more nervous than me for the road test today! That gave me such reassurance; he actually cared about his students passing and doing well. As for scheduling, you just have to be patient with them. I heard about other students not starting their lessons quickly, but I received a call the day after I was ready to start in-car lessons. If you're not sure about anything, just call them and they'll check it for you. Ergo, thank you, First Route! Great classes. Great instructors.

Lessons were cancelled repeatedly. Lessons were never the full hour and in some cases just marked as completed after 10 mins and a drive around the block. Another instance, driver cancelled but still marked the lesson as completed. Not very professional. I don’t feel my child was taught half of what my 20 year old was taught 4 years ago. Very different company then to now.

This by far is the most unorganized, dishonest excuse for a driving school that could possibly exist. You get what you pay for with this school. Because of the incompetence, I have been shimmied around between five different drivers, all for different crazy reasons that has to do COMPLETELY with the driving school including but not limited to : Deaths in like.. three of my drivers family, one of their drivers crashed their car and the other told me to book my road test well before I was ready costing me 50.00. DO NOT GO WITH THIS SCHOOL. Spend the extra money and go with Young Drivers like I wish I had. You will be far less disappointed and will actually learn how to drive, not pay 600 and come out with a collective knowledge of five drivers, most of which I spent no more then an hour, maybe two with. I have driven four different cars. Re: The below is hogwash. I appreaciate you trying to cover your butts, but the rebooks where because your drivers told me to book when i was not ready. Will post the coversations to follow.

My son went there last year and the price was around $530.00 or so. He said the in class was a little boring, i think his teacher was named Scott. The in-car lessons took a while and again I think he had Scott. I dont normally write reviews, but now my daughter is ready to take driving lessons, and although the price is much cheaper ($469.00) im wondering if this is another "you get what you pay for. He said he learned a bit but had to take a couple of other lessons before doing his test . I would look elsewhere.

Best Driving School in Ontario! Haleigh at the office was very accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we were well taken care of. Due to COVID issues my son had to change locations for his drive test and both Giles and Jolly went out of their way to accommodate and give lessons at the last minute. Both instructors were able to provide my son with everything needed to be successful in a very short amount of time! I would not hesitate to use them again and recommended them to anyone!

I passed my road test on the first try. Tony and Brandon are the best instructors! They are very knowledgeable and make you feel super comfortable. Although they are laid back, when they see you make an error they don't scold you they talk to you and explain what you did wrong and what to do on the next attempt. When it was close to my road test they definitely accommodated me with the schedule and instructor I wanted.

Steve B was my driving instructor (First route driving - Kingston). This man is loaded with knowledge and experience (I guess his experience is more than my age). I have minimum driving experience. He helped me learn the ropes quickly, made me comfortable at every stage, was very patient all the way through. He is very funny, giving real life examples (on the road). Not just telling you how to drive but, also he has a writing board and a marker and some toy cars. He simulated what I was about to do and explained everything. I was struggling with parallel parking, he didn't give up on me, he went out of the league and came up with a different technique, which was a lot easier for me to follow and worked all the time. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Steve B!!

Excellent driving school! Toni was our son's driving instructor, very knowledgeable and friendly. Our daughter went to another driver's ed and the difference was unbelievable. She booked a one hour private lesson with Toni prior to her G license test and came back saying she learned more in that hour with Toni then she did throughout the entire driver's ed course she took elsewhere. I would highly recommend First Route!
