We've got the feddbacks of real people who consume the products of Transport Training Centres of Canada (Driving School) in Barrie territory (Canada).
To this day this firm receives a score of 4 over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 28 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the evaluation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

My experience with Transport Training Centres of Canada Is VERY positive. They showed professionalism galore, when dealing with me and my issues during the pandemic. I had no issues with anything regarding my training, and I deeply appreciate the understanding and patience of Arnie Mclean, my driving instructor and administrator, Tracey Psaila.
Tracey is Amazing! She was very knowledgeable and professional in helping me with the training program. My driving instructor Arnie was a great teacher with a lot of experience in the trucking industry. I highly recommend this training centre!
Small unit with 1 simulator. The one thing I have to point out us that upon entering there were 5 people in the small front area all within 2 feet of each with absolutely no masks on not even hanging under their chin and one of them was receptionist. To me this school although it seems to have a good curriculum would be a covid petri dish for students. Cannot not recommend at this time.
For heavy equipment operator training... Try to be with Bruce working with Barrie location.... This guy is the best instructor friendly and lots of experience and knowledge Thanks Bruce
Tanya and Arnie, are absolutely the best. I got lots of help from two of them, Barrie needs Tanya!! They did everything to help me to get my license through this tough period of time. I would strongly recommend Arnie to go with first, and also stay on with through entire training. I did have different trainers and they were great , just to say to everyone there who wants to get the training, if the trainer yells, or screams or whatever he does, take it and listen to what they say, and don't COMPLAIN they want you to pass they are doing it for your benefit!! They know their trucking and they doing it all their life so, sit, listen, drive and don't complain, and you will do great. I had Mr Tim better known as a Reaper ????, he taught me to back up and shift like a professional, I never had a problem with back up on my test always completed it. And always got the compliments on shifts. But it comes with a price of a lot of pain especially in left leg???? so if anyone end up with Tim the Reaper???? he is great teacher, go through the pain and don't complain, at the end u will end up backing up and shifting like a pro. The reaper nick name comes with a reason ????????????
Excellent place, staff are amazing and friendly, I am thoroughly enjoying my time there training, would recommend to anyone wanting to obtain an AZ/DZ licence
Did my AZ Transport Truck and Air Brake training here. I had the privilege of being trained under the watchful eyes of Mr. Seeley, Mr. Pachiako and Kevin. They have almost a century of real world trucking experience between them. I found the campus manager, Ms. Clarke, efficient and friendly, and eager to solve any issues with scheduling. Sam went out of her way to help me with a few extra classes to build up my confidence, for free! (Some supplies had to be dropped offvat another TTCC, I drove with the Instructor riding shotgun). As on OTR trainer now, I draw heavily from the stalwarts at TTCC, Barrie. I could still hear Dave's " Waaaatch that Trailer" in my ears. TTCC prepares its students well. You will not find a Day Cab or an Auto Transmission Tractor here, they do it the old way - 53' lightly loaded Trailer dragged by 13-Speed Trucks with full size Sleepers. In-class could be a little boring, but Dave is often able to relate classroom material with his, usually hilarious, on-road experiences. You simply cannot find a finer Trucking/Construction Equipment training Institution in the region. AJ - Class of Dec. 2015
These folks are extremely knowledgeable, professional and most of all PATIENT. Thank you to all of you for going into great detail what we were training on and why we were training on it. I wouldn’t be able to peruse my new career without all of your help. Keep up the great work that all of you do. Highly recommend this facility for all of your training needs.
I would give them a 0 star if I could! It took them over 2 months to get me into the truck even once! My second day in the truck half of my time was used my another student, the instructor decided to teach them instead of me! I tried emailing them more then 5 times to get ahold of them at any time and they would never answer! I am now trying to receive a refund of the course because it has been over 3 months with only having 2 days in the truck, I did one week online before that and it is supposed to be a 3 week course correct? Well I have done 1 week and 1.5 technically on their books 2 day and they are trying to say that I have completed over 50% of this course and will not receive any sort of refund! So before you go to this school I hope you took the time to reed this! I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD, that this school will not book your road test does not help you speed through the course like they used to. You can go to Knowledge surge in barrie and pay an 2-300 and they book your road test, they get you your Z in school and they will help you get a job after the course as they have job line ups! So please before you go to ttcc think twice about it
I wanted to give credit to my instructor Arnie in Barrie, this guy is the perfect instructor. Calm, organized informative and friendly. Drove with the trailer on today, and although I was just trying to keep from smashing things, he knew 10 moves ahead, and kept me relaxed and focused on moving that truck safely. He explains in great detail, and makes sure I get it. Lots of patience, and tolerance, always safe. Still have a couple weeks to go, but it feels great.
Arnie is a great teacher helping me get rid of all my bad driving habits, helping me upgrade to my AZ license . Tracey is amazing in the office keeping things organized and everyone happy .
Filthy building, unorganized scheduling, virtual courses don't really transfer the information properly, and the trucks are constantly breaking-down or being replaced. Would not recommend.
AVOID!!!!
Awesome school
I would like to thank the staff at the Barrie campus for helping me to achieve my DZ license yesterday..a special thank you to Tracey and Arnie for being professional and accommodating me with any questions or concerns i may of had throughout my training course..i remember the first time climbing into the cab of the truck and going for my first drive,to say it was extremely intimidating is a huge understatement, but with Arnie's expertise and guidance he was able to keep me calm and relaxed behind the wheel and want to continue which of in itself speaks volumes..so thanks again bubba lol..literally within 2hrs of obtaining my license i got a job offer and have an interview for a position starting at $30/hr+ Full benefits..i can't thank transport training of canada enough for all their help and support and im looking forward to the next chapter of my life as it gets ready to shift into high gear..pardon the pun lol.
If you are looking to get your DZ Automatic, watch out!!! This was bad from the start. When I first called administration, I asked what the difference was between the Manual course and Automatic course, other than the obvious transmission difference. I was told nothing at all, except the price difference of around $3,500. So I signed up. I was told that I had 1 in class that was done over zoom (COVID-19) and I was expecting something knowledgeable over the 6 hours in front of my computer. Instead, got nothing as the instructor breezed by the basics of the Air Brakes test and focused on his AZ in person class that he was teaching. Didn’t complain, I googled what I needed and went to write the test. At the Drive Test centre, they were confused as to why I was writing my Z only and not my D because writing them separately would cost an additional $100. So I winged it, wrote both, passed and booked my road test... in the middle of November. I phoned TTCC and informed them of the road test and that they would get back to me with my in truck schedule. Which they did, 4 days before my road test and I was shocked to find out that I was only getting 7 hours in truck. So I go to my first class and the instructor was an hour late... so 6 hours. Instead of going in depth with training, they gave me a stack of papers and said “memorize as much as you can”. Ok.... On road test day before heading to the Drive test facility, I found out from my instructor that DZ manual gets a week in class and 20 hours in truck!!! Had I known that, I would have never signed up!! And to boot, I overheard 2 other instructors bragging that they make $30 an hour. Completely unprofessional with a student present. I passed the Z (thank you YouTube) and failed the D portion (TTCC). Just got home and phoned Knowledge Surge. For an extra $300, you get 3, that’s right 3 in classes and 17 in truck hours!! I’m going with them to complete my license because I’m not spending another dime to support overpaid useless instructors..aka Paul. BEWARE!!!!!
I was enrolled at TTCC for March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic - TTCC did everything in their power to help students succeed through their courses safely and efficiently. Through the constant help of the staff and instructors at the Barrie campus I was successful on my AZ road test. Thank you Tanya, Thom and Arnie you guys are the best!
Excellent from first contact. Campus Co-Ordinator, Tracey, was very welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating with scheduling. She went over and above by booking my road test for for me and was always available when I had questions. Thank you Tracey for all you do. In class was over Zoom, which we are all getting accustom to during the pandemic, went well with very few internet hiccups ( my service provider). The instructor was knowledgeable, friendly and kept the class flowing. For my practical training I had Arnie for an instructor. Super nice man, very knowledgeable, fair and professional. Arnie has a great sense of humour and kept training relaxed and fun, but professional, as it should be. He went over the different inspection components many times and is very encouraging throughout. A lot of information to remember in a short period of time, but Arnie has a great teaching style that works well for me. On the road Arnie is an awesome teacher with his driving experience and knowledge. Thanks Arnie for sharing your knowledge and for your patients during my many mistakes, you Sir are a rock star.
Amazing teachers and even better office staff!!(don’t tell Arnie). Great place to go to school and you learn everything you will ever need for your az. thanks guys you are the best.
My experience at Barrie Transport Training Center was amazing. All the staff were very professional and helpful! Tracey was very accommodating to my schedule, friendly yet professional! I would highly recommend this training center!
I took the DZ course with zero knowledge of trucks or air brakes. Arnie patiently explained each component of the Schedule 1 in a way that made me feel confident talking about it and inspecting it. I am so grateful for his level of knowledge and expertise and his willingness to go over things with me as many times as I wanted/needed. I walked confidently into my road test. Very encouraged by the support of the other trainers as well and Tracey who went above and beyond! What an amazing team! Thank you!
Not one for doing reviews but really felt this one was necessary. I have never drove manual in my life till age 33 so being a little nervous Is an understatement. I started day one with Paul and finished day 20 with Paul and he made me very comfortable in the truck and I learned a ton from him in the 20 days. Just took my first attempt at the AZ road and passed first try. Thank you Paul for being so patient, as I said you made me very comfortable even when I was panicked Paul was cool as cucumber. THANK YOU TO PAUL AND EVERYONE AT TTCC YOU ROCK.
I picked TTCC because they offered more hours and more training than anyone else for the same price. I gotta say this was the best choice i ever made. The trainers are awesome, i was a total newbie when i started there. Yesterday i passed my road test on the first try, with a standard truck .There job coach got me set up for a job that i start on monday. A big thanks to Rob, -i dont know how you do it man, your patience and the way you explain things it great. Thanks to everyone at TTCC, im excited to start my new career
