I had a crammed lesson with Waqqas Ahmad (1 hour before my G2 test) as my past instructor left me hanging. He woke up at 6am to help me and he gave me great tips and +++ encouragement along the way. I am happy to say I passed and I'm glad I had Waqqas to assist me along the way.

I had taken their package-2 which included 20 hours of in-class and 11 hours of in-car sessions. My in-class instructor was Faheem and he is the best instructor to my knowledge. My in-car instruction was Safadi and he is the worst instructor. He scheduled only one session a month and that too on Saturdays 6am. 2 hour session was always reduced to 1.5 hour or less because he was late or he wanted to leave early. He was unprofessional and used to shout most of the time if I made a driving mistake. He doesn't have the patience to be a instructor. Initially , He informed me that downsview and Victoria are free locations but on the drive test day, he suddenly asked me 35 dollars just before the road test for downsview location. The school doesn't have enough instructors and so they keep him I guess. Calling them didn't help. Anyway, I will give them a extra star for Faheem

I love this place so much because (malik) faheem is such an amazing instructor. He took me in even though I showed up last minute and was very accommodating to changing his schedule around to help me out as best he could. You show the monumental amount of professionalism and patience with me. I got five lessons spaning over three days with one prior to my test and had no problems passing it. I would highly recommend this course to any of my friends or family. The prices at AMB are very reasonable and justified with the amount of knowledge imparted to their students.

Nadeem is a great instructor and helped me clear G level in the first attempt at Metro East drive test centre(I gave G1 to G, based on prior experience). He not only helped me gain confidence on the 2nd class, but also gave relevant tips on safe driving in Canada. He’s pretty straight at instructions and does not sugar coat if you’ve made a mistake, which I think is really important.

The in-class lessons with Faheem were very interesting and engaging; he made 20 hours fly by! My in-car instructor was Nadeem, and with his help, I was able to pass the G2 test on my first try with only 3 weeks of training (15 hours) and no prior knowledge!

This probably has been my worst experience in Canada by far. The demeanor of my instructor was absolutely pathetic. On the day of my road test the instructor demanded a fee for using the car for the test when we were half way there to the location (he could have easily clarified the price for the same prior, but he waited for the right opportunity when i was helpless). And then argued with me the whole way for some pity cash as opposed to giving some last minute advice. Also the overall quality of the lessons were not up-to the mark, the road test is a structured way of evaluating a checklist which he could have easily prepared me during the lessons. I can't say for all instructors, but try to avoid the instructor Saleem. I wouldn't recommend this school at all even if it is economical.

I passed my G2 test on the first try. Waqqas Ahmad was a friendly, professional, and patient instructor with a very effective teaching strategy. He has taught me not only how to be a safe driver on the road, but has also given me very effective tips and techniques on how to be a good driver. today, dec24 2017, just finished the in-class (theory)——here is my all out review for FAHEEM MALIK who was our theory teacher... first day of in-class before faheem kick start our course, i was clouded with mentality that it will be boring at most times since it was just theory. oh my!!! i was big time WRONG!!!!.... faheem massively delivered.. way way excellent!!!... from the moment he started it until the class came to its complete end. he conducted his class with mighty high powered voice... !which hey! it worked best in my case coz i was always in class right after my overnight job... there was not a single minute i got to snooze for a moment! ..... i was so hooked listening to everything he said coz the information all mattered and were executed with fun moment for all of us! rest assured that YOU will pass <<<100%>>>> the in class course under Faheem. of course, dont be absent, i did not review at all!!!... i simply listened to everything he said and mind U, i always get coldy feet and hands when face with written test!!! ....chill out ..relax... just be part of the class participation once u find out that faheem is your teacher. faheem is excellent.. period. as for getting road instructor... do your very best to find the good apple... read all available reviews for different road instructors, bombard the school with emails until u confirm your preferred road instructor! by doing this, every cent spent at abm school is worthy of your time & money. ohh!....i think same move applies if YOU want faheem to be your in class teacher, just call/email the school... try your best to “hmm kinda stalk” where faheem will next handle the course!... get the info accurately, date , time, course#...etc... and yell out loud to the admin that You want to be in that class! school personnel answers email very fast!!!!! Do yourself a favor and do not use this school. The driving instructors are very unprofessional. It is also extremely difficult to schedule lessons with them. I had to schedule 6 a.m. lessons and that was the only time available. During normal lessons, the instructor would be late for 10-15 mins and end 5- 10 mins early. On my exam date, the instructor was late for 30 mins, and had asked me for additional 30 dollars for scheduling an exam at the downsview location which no one informed me about the extra fees. If you are considering this school, look elsewhere.

Just finished the 4 day in-class program with instructor Faheem Malik. I would highly recommend any future in-class students choose Faheem as their instructor. He managed to make such a heavy load of content for just a 4 day course understandable and easy to digest. I felt as though I learnt much more in regards effective road safety procedures than I ever imagined prior to taking this course. Would definitely recommend AMB to anyone thinking about taking driving classes.

Going into this, I’d been told that sitting in a class and listening to a lecture would be extremely boring - which is definitely true a lot of the time for me. But, our in class instructor Ejaz managed to make hours of learning extremely entertaining with stories and throwing in jokes whenever he explained something. The explanations were very clear and I wasn’t scared to ask any questions. Even the other students in my class were really chill and it was overall such a great environment to be in. 10/10 would do this again! Thanks Ejaz, hope to see you again!!

DO NOT USE THE COMPANY UNLESS YOU WILLING TO BE RIPPED OFF, used their service twice, the second time was horrible, I signed up for 2 hours plus road test. 1. The price I was quoted on the phone was too high, I had paid similar for 5 hours and road test, later when I questioned the person mentioned mistake and quoted me a lower figure which was still only 60$ difference for 3 less hours. The problem do not end there, I paid for 2 hours of training which I did not receive, the driver kept asking me to come to far away locations to practice. The first class I had was 50mins, then second hour, the driver asked me to come to King and Parliament where he would pick up later over call he told me that I should come earlier so we can practice before heading to the test centre and that I would have to pay him 45$ extra, when I asked why he said it is because I will be used him time, when I refused, I spent my one hour of road test practice driving to the test center, if I had only booked the cost for the road test and not practice would I have been told to directly come, my understanding was it was a price of the high price I paid for the rental, I felt truly cheated and HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE.

At first I loved the school. Bob is a great teacher, shared a lot of personal stories, and made it a great learning environment. The issue I have is with one of the instructors. The instructor I got was very unprofessional. I don’t know his name, but he was always on his phone. He would stop me sometimes just to answer a phone call. He unnecessarily would grab my steering wheel just because I’m not completely centered in my lane. I did initially give it 5 stars, but that one driving instructor was absolutely horrible. I didn’t even finish my course because he made me so infuriated.

My experience with AMB Driving School was very positive. They are a professional and reliable company. I booked and paid online for a G test that was only 2 days away. After calling them to explain the urgency, Shafique (who is in charge of coordinating) told me to expect an Instructor to contact me right away. After a few moments, Naseer Malik called me and confirmed that we will meet the following day at 8.30am in the Toronto Metro East test center. Naseer arrived exactly on time, and he knew the area very well. He is a very friendly Instructor and quickly helped me fine-tune my driving skills in preparation for the exam. I had the Full G test right after this refresher lesson (at 9.30am today) and I passed without problems. Thank you Naseer - you were a great help!

Completed my inclass session at Broadview location with Bob Karmakar. He is the best instructor you can get for the inclass session. If you are lucky enough, he can be you incar instructor as well. If you get to learn with him, you can surely pass the driving test :) Caution: incar instructors are contractor and so if you don’t like your incar instructor, message the manager and get your instructor changed, that works well.

Faheem was hands down the most professional teacher I could have hoped for. When I was looking for a driving school I was interested in why AMB was considerably less expensive than other driving schools in Barrie. After speaking to a representative I made my decision to go with them and I am very happy that I did. The in-class teaching was fantastic and felt more interactive than perfunctory. My in-car lessons were eye opening, as I had developed some bad habits that I had been unaware of. I wholeheartedly recommend AMB not only for their energetic and professional staff, but also their fastidious approach to making sure that new drivers feel confident behind the wheel.

I've just finished AMB Driving School and it was a good experience. I learned a lot during the in class lessons, which were very easy to follow. The teacher was very kind, and made the course as enjoyable as possible. The in-car driving lessons were equally as great. My driving instructor (Faheem) was very nice and even through my busy schedule, was always able to find me times to go out driving, and learn. He was very calm in the car and kindly responded to me whenever I made an error, and told what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. He made it a very smooth learning experience! Overall I think the AMB Driving School educated me thoroughly in class, and in-car making me a much more comfortable driver. I recommend any new drivers to attend AMB Driving School!

Quick shout-out to Bob Karmakar who has been my in-class instructor at Broadview location, you've been amazing! I signed up for the 4 day package that includes 20 hours of in-class, 10 hours of in-car plus an extra hour of in-car training and the use of instructor's car on the day of the test. So far I've completed the 20 hours of class in 4 days, and I've gotta say the classes were very smooth; they weren't boring at all as you'd expect from 5 hours of class each day (Note: there are breaks in between, so don't worry if you go hungry during the session, you can go for Timmy's or McDonald's during the breaks). The classes were quick and efficient, teaching you what you needed to know and some tips here and there to succeed at the actual driving test. The instructor was very pleasant and nice (at least for me), so you don't have to be worried if you're behind or don't understand something, you just need to ask and they'll help you right up. Best part is, it's only 4 days of class so you can go back to sleeping in after the sessions are over (and you feel somewhat accomplished for waking up early and taking 5 hours of class everyday). Do note though, 4 days are only for the class sessions, the whole package takes longer depending on when you can complete the in-car training (you will need to set up appointments with the driving instructor). Overall, the experience was fantastic and I'd recommend this driving school to any novice drivers who want to get their G2 and G license along with the insurance discount. I'm definitely coming back for G license. P.S. If you miss a class, you do not need to worry because you can go back for the missed class the week after (Technically, you got 6 months to complete the course, but I'd recommend getting it over with asap).

I hold a G2 licence that will expire in a few months so I took a mini package consisting of a 3-hour driving lesson (I had mine once a week) + use of the instructor's car for the exam. I just passed the G2 exit road test (Full G) today (after a very fortunate first try) at Metro East. Anyway, the main thing I learned from my veteran instructor, Nadeem, was patience. He has a very calm demeanor which makes every minute seemed worthwhile. If you live in downtown Toronto or within the GTA, get in touch with these guys. I'm just not sure if you can ask for Nadeem directly, but if you can, I can assure you that you'll be in good hands.

Waqqas Ahmad is an amazing instructor! He's very patient, knowledgeable, and honest. He definitely knows how to teach someone who's a first-time driver and who also gets nervous behind the wheel. Waqqas taught me so many techniques when it comes to adjusting my parking (esp parallel parking) and it really impressed my test examiner! I passed on MY FIRST TIME and my examiner said that she has NOTHING to critique. Thank you Waqqas for helping me get the confidence I needed! Will definitely recommend you to my little cousin who's reaching the age of learning how to drive!!

Beware. I bought the Mini Package for G2 Exit (3 in car lessons + road test) and my instructor was horrible! Mr. Naseer Malik was rude, crusty and just a terrible instructor. He yelled at me before we even started the 1st class because he asked something and I couldn't understand his accent. He was on his cell a lot (watching videos or on calls) and he would make rude comments. Just one example is when he said "you make me mad, you are not good enough" to which I responded "that's why I am taking lessons - to get better" at which he replied "I can make you better with a little makeup ...(pause) ... just joking." Awful I couldn't make this stuff up! He treated another student similarly (I had to sit in the backseat and felt sorry for the lady at the wheel) . The 3rd lesson was right before the test and that was a huge mistake, he was his usual crusty self and the pep talk was: you are not going to pass but call me to get more lessons. He also asked me to stop somewhere as he needed the bathroom, waited for him for what felt like 20 minutes until he finally came back chewing on something.. This resulted in me being a few minutes late for the test. He said it was my fault because I was driving slow. (Argh!) Don't make my mistake, request an instructor that likes his/her job and PEOPLE, someone who will do his/her best to make students successful.

1.0 star rating 1/9/2018 I purchased a 5-hour in car package from AMB sometime late last year. I had some driving experience before, but I needed some serious refreshers lessons as it had been years. I decided to go with AMB because it was affordable, downtown and had decent reviews on Google. From the very start I could tell that AMB doesn't care at all about customer service. I signed up online and through a very confusing series of e-mails and text messages I was assigned an instructor. My instructor was decent at first. He showed up for the first lesson on time and did make me feel comfortable driving, but gradually I started realizing that he wasn't a great instructor at all. He only told me what would make me fail the g2 test vs. teaching me how to drive properly and he used my lessons to run personal errands like bank and coffee runs. He was also extremely difficult to schedule lessons with over text message. He'd ghost on me when I ask a question and one time didn't even show up at all! I texted and he apologized, with no real excuse and ask for a later time slot in the day. It was extremely unprofessional. I asked for a reschedule to the following weekend providing all the relevant info on when I was free and he never got back to me. So much time had passed that my g2 had come and gone and I had failed. I was not a comfortable or confident driver because of AMB. I feel like the four hours I did take in-car were a total waste of money because I was completely unsure of myself during that g2 test. I have since found another driving school and booked another g2 test which I am a lot more confident about passing because my instructor is really great- patient, punctual, and detailed-oriented. I contacted AMB seeing if I could possibly get a refund for the last hour of lessons that I never received and surprise, surprise no one got back to me. Do not go with this school! Spend the extra $$ for a better recognised school with some actual quality control. Trust me.

I got package number 02 back in July 2021 and I got 20 hours class (which was pretty fast) we did in a week. The driving class the instructor it’s literally giving me 2 HOURS A MONTH! Which will take me about 05 months or so to finish these 11 hours. It might take several months, up to 6-7 months to finish this package. If you’re not in a rush, great. If you are trying to have it done a bit faster, then I’m not sure what to suggest. I don’t believe I would recommend that to friend.

Picture this: it’s mid-June, I’m eligible to take my G2 at the beginning of September, I just need a bit more practice. Great! I’ll book a few driving lessons and do them over the course of 2 months, and then I’ll be good to go, right? Looks like AMB has great reviews! WRONG. I pay online for courses. I didn’t even get an invoice. Was starting to get worried I got completely scammed. Then a strange text message comes in : “shah driving instructor” No company name, didn’t ask for my availability, etc. How strange. Spend a couple weeks trying to book a class with this guy, he takes days and days to respond. I have a 9-5, I say. “10:30AM Tuesday” I get 4 days later. That’s not what I asked for mate. I start getting annoyed so I call him. He’s teaching a lesson right now, call him back in an hour. I call him back exactly an hour later. He’s still teaching for whatever reason and gets mad at me. I tell him I called exactly when he told me to. “If you can’t be patient I don’t want to teach you!” Hangs up. Now I need to go out of my way to call the school and get a different instructor. The next guy was ok, but it was kind of the same story - took a few weeks to get a lesson. I ended up working remotely one day because despite saying I had a day job multiple times, I kept getting offered stuff in the middle of the day. So I take a class at 11:00 on a Tuesday. He rocks up around 12:10 with no explanation or apology. A common trend at AMB is assuming that everyone sits around all day doing nothing. The class was pretty meh. I’m not too sure if I learned anything. He seemed irritated every time I made a mistake. Isn’t that what taking lessons is for? He says he will contact me about the next class. Finally, we’re getting places! Of course not. A few weeks later I remember that I haven’t heard back from him. I get a cut and paste response that his car was in an accident. Don’t you think you should have automatically told all your students that instead of me having to chase you down? So I have to once again contact the school. They are omg sooooo sorry, but they have one person on sick leave and 3 on vacation and 3 in accidents and if I just want another month then they can schedule me in. It has already been 2 months. I could have gotten an MRI by now. I could have even gotten my G2 by now. An honest business owner would have told any new customers that classes are limited right now, or even better, shut down the online payments. Don’t give me your sob story, just give me a refund. 2 stars instead of 1 because it was fairly painless to get the refund. I wasted a ton of time here, but thankfully I didn’t waste too much money.

PSA: Beware the fact that the rating is this high because they pressure people to go online and rate in class. Good place to learn a lot of basics. I had an entertaining in class instructor. Be aware though that summertime demand might mean you'll have to wait a couple weeks for an in car instructor. The first one I got was pretty unprofessional, but when I complained, they assigned me a much better one. Very very happy with Nadeem Malik. Helped me pass on the first try and was calm and professional throughout.

The only reason I got my G2 license was because he was very thorough in explaining the rules of the road, he answered all my questions and most importantly I felt comfortable and at easy while driving. Once I'd completed them I waited two weeks like they said to book my Road Test, when I called service Ontario they said I wasn't in the system.. I am from India and had never driven in North America. After booking online for 5 hour in car lessons + road test, AMB never bothered to connect me to an instructor, even after 2-3 days post booking. Had to reach out to them for assigning me an instructor. I had clearly communicated my availability and schedule multiple times to my instructor, mapping out 5 hours in 5 sessions in such manner that I'd get enough practice, just prior to the date of my road test. However, my instructor made an arbitrary choice to provide me 2 hour sessions instead, for the first 2 lessons, with no prior communication. I reached out to AMB regarding this, and was told that they conduct 1 hour to 2 hour in-car lessons. I mentioned it to them that I was never informed about this earlier. Received no response. After my 2nd in car session, my instructor informed me in the night that my in car sessions were done and the final 1 hour was allocated for the road test. I still had a little over 2 weeks prior to my scheduled road test. Thankfully, I had a good road and driving sense having driven 10+ years in India. As a result, I managed to pass. However, AMB's communication and overall service quality was subpar. I would not recommend.

Despite it being a boring subject, the teacher Ejaz tries to make it as interesting as possible, as well as having fair rules and a friendly environment. Its in a shared building on the second floor, so skepticism isn't unnatural. Its a small facility, but the setup was better than I expected. Ejaz is a good teacher who makes jokes and goes out of his way to help his students. I recommend the driving school as it teaches the importance of being a confident, safe, and smart driver.

I paid for the full package that included the driving instruction and never heard back from my assigned driving instructor. I have been reaching out to them and the driver repeatedly and no times or dates of availability have been given me. The one time I was able to reach my assigned instructor he told me to text him, which I did, and he said he would text me back, to then never hear back from him again. If they don't change me to another instructor I'm requesting a partial refund and going to another driving school to get the in person practice.

I got a package from AMB driving school in September 2016. To this date, I haven't been able to get my driving licence. The in-class lessons were so good. At the end of the last session, the manager of the school came to the class and asked us to log on google and write a review right at that time and we all did. I would tell probably everyone would write good reviews because the in-class lessons are good and this is why you see the overall score of the school is high. Guys, if I could go back in time, I would never ever go to this school. For in-car lessons, basically what they do is they give you the contact number of an instructor and that's all. So I contacted the instructor, and we made an appointment for the first session. It was a weekend and the subway had issues. I texted the instructor that I would be 10 minutes late and he said that he couldn't wait but I told him school said you would wait for 20 minutes. So I got there 10 minutes late. The instructor wasn't there. I called him and he didn't answer; meanwhile, he was texting me that he was still there and I hadn't shown up! LOL! Can you believe that? I got a second instructor from school, guess what he did, he kept wasting my time and at the end he asked me to get private lessons with him and pay him in cash, $35 an hour. He was too busy to give me lessons regularly and now here I am, it is May 2017, and I still haven't gotten my licence. I strongly believe MTO should revoke this school's licence.

The in class portion was informative, organized and helpful. The slides made presented the information in concise and interesting way which held my attention. As a visual learner, I found the high density of diagrams and videos to be very helpful in retaining the information being presented. The quizzes at the end of each section allowed me to apply my learning more quickly and therefore understand the tips, tricks, concepts, and skills more thoroughly at an earlier time. The instructor was experienced, helpful and accommodating. My instructor, Bob, was good at highlighting the important information and added in many helpful hints throughout the program. He was engaged and really encouraged people to speak up, even getting people to read parts of slides he thought would be important. Lastly, the course, both the instructor and visual aids, were infused with a savvy sense of humour. It was a good mix of silly jokes to help break the ice and informed jokes to make the content memorable. Humour is hard to get right. This course managed to to inform and entertain the class while not getting off track. I would recommend this course to anyone of any age as a comfortable, engaging, informative, and, sometimes, downright funny way to learn how to drive.

Absolutely horrendous driving school. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The reviews here are based on in-class not in-car instruction. Read Yelp reviews for the real ones! I paid $350 for two in-car lessons and G2 Exit Road Test. I was switched instructors and no one communicated with me the week I was to begin the lessons. The instructor I was given wasted 1.5 hours driving in traffic even though I specifically asked for highway driving, did not know my name nor remembered when our lessons were scheduled. They also text their students in the middle of the night. The day of the road test, I was informed 2 hours before my final scheduled lesson and road test that my instructors car broke down and they were attempting to find a replacement, causing me to be extremely stressed before my test, not to mention cutting into the lessons I paid for. The company offers no refund policy even though I had asked prior to starting my lessons due to their poor communication and total disorganization. This company is the worst, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

I had to contact the instructor twice a week to get a lesson maybe in two weeks or so. One time, he made me wait for 30 mins and when I called him, he told me " he has back problem and can not attend". He did not even bother to call me and tell me this until I contacted him myself. This school need to hire more instructors and teach them punctuality and professionalism.

Nadeem was excellent as he quickly assessed my driving skills and identified where I needed the most practice especially as driving in North America was new for me. I did AMB driving school this winter/spring of 2020-2021 and it was fantastic. The online portion (as I did the E-learning package) was not my favourite, but it was nice to be able to complete it in my own time rather than have to go to classes for 8 hours in a day. Then, the in-car portion was fantastic. Faheem is an excellent instructor. He is clear in his instructions and gave me a ton of tips that made driving so much easier. He was great at keeping in touch about planning lessons and was always on time. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

I contacted AMB regarding the in-class/in-car package and they were able to fit me in on fairly short notice. The in-class portion of the package was informative and expanded on basic driving knowledge - I would highly suggest it. The instructor, Aziz, was very approachable and happy to share anecdotes to break up the learning material. His method of teaching was inclusive and relatable to non-existing drivers. I was in a rush to get the in-car lessons finished, as I had my G2 road test booked and had a short time before my G1 was to expire. AMB was very helpful in fitting in my classes and working with my schedule. Although my in-car instructor, Khalid, did not speak perfect english, he was easy to communicate with and made himself available via text message. Khalid shared useful tips and tricks to ensure I felt safe and confident driving. Again, he made a significant effort to accommodate my tight schedule, and was very patient with my driving. I had previously had an in-car lessons with a Young Drivers of Canada instructor who, although he spoke perfect english, made me feel uncomfortable driving and doubted I would be able to pass my G2 road test. Unlike this previous instructor, Khalid's method of teaching instantly made sense. Khalid's encouragement was ultimately what put me at ease on the road. My experience at AMB could not have been better. Through my in-class lessons with Aziz, and in-car lessons with Khalid I became comfortable and confident on the road. Ultimately, I learned how to drive in just over 2 weeks, and passed my G2 road test on the first try. I would recommend AMB, particularly Aziz and Khalid, to anyone learning to drive, especially if you are not yet comfortable on the road.

I found AMB online when looking for a few driving lessons. I had a very short time before my G2 exam and before my licence expired. Mariam called me back and within the week I had a driving lesson. She was very understanding when working with my schedule since I have a young child. We went for 4 lessons in total. I passed my G driving test today at first attempt! Jack was my instructor and he did a great job teaching me. He focuses on making you a good driver rather than just passing the test. Once you're ready, passing the test will come naturally. He commits to his students. We had to cancel so many lessons due to lockdown, but he always contacted me to follow up. He made a custom plan for me according to my weaknesses and needs. He's very strict, but this will make you stronger and confident so the examiner won't make you nervous.

Complained to the company and they sought to rectify immediately. They replaced my instructor with someone who was more professional and competent (Nadeem). AMB driving school immediately charged my credit card upon signing up and a driver contacted me the day after providing in car lessons schedule complete with date and time. On the day of the first lessons, the instructor did not show up. Did not respond to texts and calls. I called the driving school and was informed that in car lessons are still not allowed at this time. I am so upset because I realized I was assigned to the same driver as last year when I had to ask for a refund because the instructor, his name is Khalid, was so unprofessional. He would either show up late or cancel lessons a few minutes before the time class is supposed to start. BEWARE OF THIS DRIVING SCHOOL in BROADVIEW - unprofessional and only concerned about money. I hope they process a full refund for the 10 hour lessons I paid for. They charged me $542.40.

My initial instructor was not very good, however, I highly recommend Muhammad Saeed Akhtar, he is very professional, always on time and he gave me great tips and pointers to pass my driving exam. When I signed up for the classroom training, my friends had a hearty laugh. They warned me that I would be bored by the training. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I attended Fahim's training. It was the perfect example of 'edutainment'. After completing the sessions, I was convinced that I took the right decision of signing up with AMB for this course as I had developed a strong foundation for driving in Canada. Saleem was my in car trainer. He helped me identify and then improve my weak areas. I must admit that he was extremely patient with me as I had to un-learn and re-learn my driving. The in-class lessons were great! For the in-car lessons, after getting assigned to a pretty awful instructor (who took for ever to respond and eventually quit teaching at AMB without notifying me), I was assigned to Shah (Moeen) who was a great in-car instructor. He answered me punctually after being added to his student roster and was super accommodating towards me given the time constraints that I gave him ( I became his student 3 weeks before my G2 test). He made time to prioritize me and was a great in-car instructor because he didn't micro-manage, but still made sure I felt safe. I passed my G2 test first try after only driving for 2 months. If you can, try to get Shah as your in-car instructor.

I did practise a couple of times with my family car a couple of days prior to my test but Nasim made sure I got practise right before, and I used his car for the test as well. Highly highly recommend this driving school to anyone who is considering it!!! ***UPDATE*** Although my original instructor was Asiya, I could not get a lesson booked with her as she was impossible to reach. I asked Bob for help and he got me in touch with the manager who promptly apologized and assigned me Nasim instead. I finished my driving classes with Nasim. He's a no nonsense instructor who helped me learn to drive, from not being able to anything past driving circles in a parking lot. He taught me how to drive in clear as well as snowy conditions (essential in Canada), as well as on the highway which I appreciated very much. Now I'm waiting for my G2 test date, and am hopeful I pass the first time. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Bob is the best teacher. He made a very early-starting and dry course very informative and entertaining!! I’m looking forward to the driving lessons but so far 10/10, I loved it and the location is very accessible as well.

Overall, I had a positive experience with AMB Driving School. I took the in-class lessons for G2- the office building itself is old and not the prettiest but the in-class lessons were good. The instructors switch frequently, one was great, the other not so much my style. In-car lessons were originally very hard to book and I felt I didn't get much feedback from my instructor. He was also late for our lesson and forgot where he had asked me to meet him, a location which was about a 45 minute commute from my house. After trying to book with him for over a month, I requested a change. I was able to change instructors in about 3-4 weeks time. It seems as though the school has too many students and not enough in-car instructors. My second in-car instructor, Shah, was a GREAT instructor and a very good fit for my learning style. He gave insightful feedback, told me exactly what to adjust in order to correct any mistakes and he also praised my driving when I was doing a good job. He was punctual, professional and it is clear he takes pride in his work. His car is new, always very clean and he even got a car wash the morning of my road test in order to make sure the car was in the best condition possible, to make the best impression on the examiner. I appreciate Shah very much and he is the best part of AMB driving school.

I am so happy to have had my instructor, Zaidi, is. He is a super calm and happy man, and gave really good instruction on best techniques for lane changes, parking, etc. Not only does he prepare you for the driving test, he prepares you with practical tips on regular driving. When it came time for my test, my instructor thought I was calm and did well. He then noticed that Zaidi was my instructor, and said he estimated that Zaidi's students have a 90% + pass rate for the driving exam at the Drivetest Metro (Lawrence E) location.

If these people know nothing about driving or blatantly disobey the Ontario H.T.A., they have NO business teaching young drivers. Fantastic school, fantastic price!! Faheem is a wonderful instructor who seems to get on well with all age groups. He made the in class instruction interesting and my teens really enjoyed the driving instruction with him. His dedication to the details adds to the successful pass of the drivers test. You can pay high prices at other schools or pay a reasonable fee at this school, either way your insurance rate will be the same. ABM breaks out the pricing structure well and we found ABM to be honest and fun. As soon as my teens completed their course they received their link to MTO to retrieve their drivers history/course certification proof for insurance purposes. I highly recommend ABM - Barrie. Excellent driving school!

We were given a Tim Hortons gift card to "leave a good review" for the company, which I found extremely distasteful, if not borderline illegal. Not to mention that almost all the reviewers here have only 1 review, isn't that suspicious? The company's driving instructor booking system was also backlogged by 3 weeks, so what's the point of taking these courses in the summer if you're not going to be driving for a month? Not only that, but the class environment was not professionally maintained, with jokes and laughing gags present (not occasionally), but almost constantly. The operations of this company is extremely questionable, and as a paying customer, I cannot give an honest recommendation of this company.

Did my in-class during thanks giving weekend 2015. I had Malik as my in-class instructor, he was terrific, but the class was just not very energetic so it was not his fault. Experience may vary depending on your class. Did my in-car lessons around feb - may. I originally had Nadeem as an instructor, personally I would not recommend him as he made me so nervous. Then I switched to Khan, the only problem I had with Khan is that majority of my lessons were around 45-50 minutes, not a full hour. I mean I paid for the full hour so I should get it. Also, the final lesson I had with Khan, was spent in the gas station to refill and pay (which consumed more of my learning time), and my lesson also ended early on that too. Khan is a great teacher, but I didn't get my money's worth.

My instructor is Rashidi and it's pretty amazing how I could go from 0 to passing G2 in only 6 weeks. In my opinion he is very professional and way nicer than my imaginary stereotype instructor. He is very patient and willing to answer my questions. And more importantly, he is punctual and willing to schedule early and late classes. (I've taken classes with him at both 7am and 7pm). Overall, he is really really reliable, he knows the test well and I passed my G2 test on my first try.

So today I completed my 12 hour driving course with Fatah. For someone that has never driven (go karts don't count lol) on the roads nor highway and on top of that, a manual car which I absolutely wanted to learn. Fatah did a great job to allow me to feel more then confident to go right ahead and do my driving test and with what will be an automatic on top of that for the road test. Sure, I watched quite a bit of YouTube videos to understand how and at what moment you should release the clutch till you feel the biting point while pressing a little on the gas, but still, Fatah made it smoother for me to understand the mechanics. If you want to learn a manual, he will teach you well even if like me, you've never driven let alone a manual

I have just finished the AMB Driving School in Barrie and it was great. The in class lessons were very easy to engage in, easy to listen to, they were very clear and easy to understand. It was a great overall experience. The in car lessons were just as good. Faheem was extremely flexible with the lesson times, he would book lessons that worked for me, picked me up wherever I needed him to pick me up, and would always show up right on time. He was extremely easy to drive with. He is very calm about everything which makes it very easy to get comfortable with driving and not be nervous. Every time I made a mistake he would never get mad, he would calmly tell me where I went wrong and what to do next time to fix my mistake. That was huge for me, it made me feel very confident and comfortable while driving. Faheem made me want to learn more about driving every lesson. Waqqas Ahmed was the best instructor I could have asked for and just what I needed to pass my G. my G2 had already expired 6 months from the day I took my test & it was already a headache getting a test booked in the first place because of covid. Probably better off elsewhere. Instructor Kamal wasn't very understanding of my situation (not being able to drive due to not having access to a family car). He was also very impatient with me and yelled quite a few times, increasing my anxiety tenfold. Messed up parking on my VERY FIRST try ever and his first reaction was to be critical instead of encouraging a 2nd try while giving tips, I mean it was my first time in my entire life so that was just ridiculous on his part. Also made me pay bus fare to commute just 10 minutes to meet him which was quite odd honestly. Overall, not a very pleasant experience aside from his car being nice and clean.

Like many Torontonians, I let my G1 expire after taking the full MTO course about 5 years ago. I booked 3 hours with access to the car for my G2 exam through AMB. This was enough to get warmed back up and my instructor was very helpful in correcting bad habits and keeping me in check. I would recommend AMB and will probably book some more hours as I prepare for my full G.

I enrolled in AMB Driving School (online) to prepare for the G2 road test back in 2020. My driving instructor was Rashidi. He was respectful, mindful, and patient, and he ensured that I would be a safe, smart, and confident driver. I appreciated his feedback which helped me continuously improve my driving skills. My driving test was postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but his guidance stayed with me into the following year. When my test date came up, we picked up where we left off, drove again, and Rashidi ensured that I was ready for the test--and I passed on my first attempt. AMB is a great place to learn the fundamentals of becoming a smart driver. Rashidi is also a great instructor. Biggest waste of money and time! Do yourself a favour and do not book a lesson here if they tell you your driver instructor will be 'Malik'. I cannot speak for any other drivers, He was really late (45 mins), inappropriate, lazy (refused to give me feedback on the driving until over one hour into the lesson as he reclined the seat, blared the radio on his preferred station in a language I didn't understand), took 6 phone-calls during the lesson, told me that he would tell me where I should go for the test and he would give me better feedback IF I booked another lesson directly with him instead of AMB. He tried to scare me into thinking I wouldnt pass so that I would go on another lesson with just him... Luckily I found a legitimate driver instructor and got a lesson with him the day before my test who gave concise and honest direction and I passed my G no problem! Try Golan Driving school - Darren.

This is a difficult review to do. The instruction part of the course was great, both the in class with Bob and the in car with Aamir. Aamir especially is a very patient teacher. The not so good part was how long it took to get in the basic 10 hours of in car instruction. It is clear that the instructors are overburdened with students and that can make scheduling difficult. Generally, everyone with whom you interact, from instructors to management is friendly and helpful though. Based on instruction, I do recommend AMB, however, if you need to wrap up your in car hours in a timely fashion to move on to the also lengthy process of booking a road test, you may want to look elsewhere. I'll update my review once I've done my G2 and have a better sense of how my preparation worked out.

Taught me some excellent skills (maneuvering, parking, referencing, etc.) that will make me a responsible and careful driver. Plan to take some G lessons with him as well. 10/10 would recommend.

I passed my G2 the first time, within two months of us starting lessons, and he taught me all the proper techniques for general driving. I highly recommend enrolling in the driving school here at AMB (Broadview). Both my instructors, Aziz (in class) and Zaidi (in car) were super helpful and informative. I was able to pass my G2 with the help from both of them and I look forward to contacting Zaidi again for more practice preparing for my G test. He was very patient with me and taught me a lot about the road as I was unfamiliar. Definitely come to this location if you’re looking to pass your tests!

I signed up for the in class and 10 hour in car package. Both the class instructor and driving instructor Jack Wang were great. The class instructor focused on safe driving and made the class interesting and fun. I started lessons as a brand new driver but felt confident with Jack since he is a very experienced instructor and has good focus on driving safely. His instructions were very clear and easy to follow and each lesson I felt like I learnt a lot. I also had good experience with AMB since scheduling, in class lessons and car lessons were all organized clearly.

I had really bad experience with this driving school and instructor Naseer Malik. The instructor was late for many of my ten driving lessons: one time by as much as an hour and a half, without even calling. A couple of times, I drove the instructor on his errands to bank, etc and waited in parking lot-not much of an driving lesson. I clearly explained that I had driving experience from abroad and wanted practice driving on 400-level highways since I was to take the G. The instructor kept making me drive through small residential streets and we only got to highway last lesson. The instructor kept commenting "No good" without really explaining what I was doing wrong. I only took the in-car lessons, so I can't really comment on their in-class experience.

Honestly, paying $585 and arriving on the first day, it seemed very very sketchy. It's inside a shared business building on the 2nd floor. Your only option of payment is full cash or cheque. Don't be deceived from all the "good reviews" on google... they bribe students from in-class to leave 5 star reviews with tim hortons cards... if you look carefully, almost 90% of their reviews talk about in-class instructor and not in-car instructors. I bought package #2 for $585. 11 hours in-car, 20 hours in class. I'm already on my third instructor.... it takes a month for an instructor to get back to you or even contact you for a lesson. My first instructor Mobeen arrived late and told me he would give me extra time my next lesson. When it came to my next lesson, he told me to get another instructor from the school when mentioned. My second instructor Khan is ALWAYS on his phone, very distracting, goes on coffee runs and breaks. Condescending, easily irritated, yells and does not pay attention... very dangerous for new drivers ... avoid Khan as much as possible. He makes you do 2 hour lessons each time and all you will be doing is turns and driving straight. Edit #1: My third instructor, Aamir is GREAT! Fantastic instructor, taught me everything I need to know in 5 hours (3 lessons) and improved my turns and parking. He's incredibly patient, knowledgeable, calm and does not yell at all. He teaches you how to be confident and teaches you all the defensive driving techniques you need to pass the test and be great on the road. Edit #2: Aamir has taught me how to enter and exit the freeway (DVP) and even taught me proper lane change procedures; flow of traffic on highways; how to follow cars in a safe distance; gives tips. I even drove on the DVP towards my drive test location (and switched out so he can drive the rest of the way on local traffic). I have drove on the freeway with him twice before my test. I took my drive test on Dec 7th at Port Union and PASSED first try. No hassles. The test instructor was nice and people working at port union test centre are nice too, but that's a different review. Edit #3: Also... they try to contact you only after you leave a bad review and try to solve things by "trying to bribe for better instructors". Aamir is the only reason I went from 1star to 3 star for this review. I still don't reccomend AMB Driving though.

I booked my wife for 5hr in car lesson and was assigned to instructor Mohammed. He was not very accomodating and understanding instructor. He tried to booked a lesson from 9pm-10pm and 6am-7am when I told him in the initial conversation that we have a 5 month old baby and those timings will not work. We finally agreed a 2hr lesson on Friday, August 13, 5pm-7pm. He showed up 30mins late on this scheduled lesson. I highly do not recommend this driving instructor.

I live downtown and my instructor Jack is one of the few who is willing to teach me driving downtown as the traffic condition is tough. He is responsible, punctual, and good at planning out lessons based on students' availability, weather as well as exam date. I would highly recommend Jack to anyone who needs to get a license!

My experience with AMB is great. This is my first time learning how to drive a car, so I registered the full certificate course at AMB. The in-class session is fun and helpful. When it comes to the in-car training, I must say that AMB customer service is excellent. I prefer a female instructor who will be patient with me as this is my very first time in the car. They are very responsive in replying to my request of changing the in-car instructor. Parijat is my in-car instructor. she is super friendly as well as patient with me. She is always on time, and if she is 5 minutes late, she will let you know in advance. I must say that learning with Parijat help me overcome the fear of driving and truly enjoy every session with her. I'd highly recommend AMB to anyone who is new to driving and seeking to become a courteous driver.

AMB Driving school is terrible. Don't be deceived by the fake 5 star google reviews. They reward students who review them 5 stars with gift cards. The name of my instructor was Salim. He would be so arrogant while teaching and has terrible patience. I am not a pro at driving and so I am learning. He will always be very discouraging. I could never even gather the confidence of giving a test while learning from him. He will not even teach you for the time you pay for. He will always be 5-10 minutes late and drop you back early. Never go to this school if you want to pass your driving test.

I had a really great experience with AMB after leaving Young Drivers due to it not helping me get comfortable driving. My instructor Nadeem was incredibly calm and kind which helped calm me as a nervous driver, and was very helpful in helping guide me on what I needed to improve. I passed first try with them after failing once with young drivers, and feel much less stressed behind the wheel after my lessons there. Would definitely recommend AMB and Nadeem as an instructor.

My instructor was Bob Karmakar. His instruction was very helpful and informative, and he always did his best to make the lessons engaging and entertaining, with a lot of geeky pop culture references. Even though he can talk a little bit fast/muddled sometimes, he is always happy to slow down and clarify when asked. His sense of humour reminds me of a fun uncle LOL. One minor criticism is that the powerpoint slide designs are a bit outdated, but all the important info is still there, so it's just charming haha. Thanks so much Bob and AMB!

bought 3 hours plus car use for my g2 exit exam, I feel I did not have a great instructor as I felt that he was just trying to waste time by always stopping the car and talking on how to park when really I should of been practicing my parking. I didn't get enough highway practice just 5-10min and that was it. I did contact AMB about this and they are nice enough to reimburse me 1.5 hours back with a new instructor.. looking forward to actually getting the experience and practice I need before my exam

Out of all of the driving instructors I have had, Waqqas Ahmad is the best one I have had. Not only is he a professional and knowledgeable teacher, he is also very kind and encouraging. My driving skills improved with Waqqas significantly. I was very nervous for my test and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have had the skills and confidence to pass. I'm so grateful to have had him as my instructor! I have suggested him to friends and family, and I will be going to him for my G lessons as well! Thank you Waqqas for everything!

In class instructor (Faheem Malik) was outstanding! Made the 20 hour in class tutorials fun and Very informative. I learned alot of new concepts that I thought I already knew thanks to Faheem and his captivating way of teaching. However that last star is for the time it takes to process the cirtificate from AMB administration.

This was my second time doing driving school after letting my license expire before finishing it. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of instructors, both in-class (Aziz) and in-car (Zaidi). The content was very useful and included a lot of practical tips. I enjoyed the flexible structure of the classes and lessons and thought it accommodated my schedule well. Because of the great instruction at AMB, I was able to pass my G1 exit test (G2) with ease! Definitely recommend.

Naushad was my in-car instructor and let me tell you got me through my G2 test, as I was probably one of his most challenged drivers. He is very flexible and is usually available when needed. Unlike many other instructors, he does not cancel his lessons randomly and is easy to contact. You're taught everything you need to know to be a prepared and great driver. I will definitely contact him when it comes time for my G test!
