I work with a group of youth who were attempting to facilitate a virtual "Wellness Week". They were looking for a guest speaker who could truly speak to the concept of wellness and mindfulness. As an Adult Ally I searched and was immediately drawn to Trish and the things that she stood for. When I presented one of her videos to the youth it was unanimous! The day of the event Trish truly delivered in her presentation to the youth and adults alike! Not only did she run some exercises surrounding practicing mindfulness in a practical way, but she also talked about the pandemic and the importance of making our own choices during this time. We would gladly welcome Trish back again to talk to any age group of people. She was easily relatable and truly presented a message that resonates with our youth to this day.

Trish spoke at our Town of Sylvan Lake Safety Day! The session was engaging, well suited to our diverse group of employees and tied in safety with mindfulness. Some very simple techniques that everyone can utilize both at work and at home. Our Association had been hit very hard with the trauma of COVID-19, and we looked from across Canada, for someone who could help our sector cope with the mental challenges they faced. What started with an initial idea of a keynote, turned into a 12 part series of mindfulness sessions held for the long term care sector in Ontario. Trish is a fantastic teacher and facilitator! I first encountered Trish at the Banff Wellness retreat in 2020. I attended a class on Mindfulness and learned ways to begin incorporating mindfulness in my life. I am a social worker and sometimes forget to practice my own self care. Trish reminded me the importance of slowing down and anchoring new habits! This is a concept I now incorporate on a daily basis and share the idea with others. I enjoyed her teaching style so much that following the retreat I attended a couple of Trish's online offerings. It was such a great way for me to keep the momentum going for myself. I felt I was benefiting personally and felt it was something my workplace would benefit from as well. We then hired Trish for a weekly staff wellness series and it was awesome. She customized the training to accommodate all levels of familiarity with mindfulness and encouraged participation, but also was respectful of those who were camera shy (given it was virtual training). I work at the Moose Jaw MFRC at the military base in Moose Jaw Sk and we thoroughly enjoyed having Trish teach our small team of staff strategies on mindfulness.
