What a round! We had a great time here playing 18 in the mountains. Beautiful course and scenery that would be hard to beat. Course was in excellent shape and we had lots of fun. After we went for a bit to eat overlooking the 18th hole. Food was good, service was not so good but I think it was just our server. Certainly trying to make this a yearly event!
Beautiful views, lunch over looking the golf course first class meal with first class service worth hooking this up when in Canmore.
Beautiful course at the entrance to Banff. Excellent customer service, almost over the top. Expensive and it played a little slow would be only negative.
Fantastic place, great people... Absolutely gorgeous scenery
5 Hours and 10 minutes to play a round because the Marshall wouldn't ask the group ahead to pick up the pace or allow the faster groups to pass. Service was sub par compared to other courses in the area.
Scotty is the best golf instructor on the planet!
Loved this place course in fabulous shape and a view from everywhere you look.
Maybe the most beautiful course I have golfed to date.
Had a meal to celebrate our near coincidental birthdays. We had three courses and both meals were flawless. The service was excellent. Another great experience here. Thank you.
Breathtaking views and heart-stopping shots!! First time ever playing here, but I'll definitely be back!
One of the best courses I have played. The views were amazing. Hole 13 has one of the best photo ops I can remember
My Husband and I chose Silvertip Golf Course as our venue, being that we were planning during COVID we were quite concerned about what that would look like. Our contact was Nicole, and she absolutely went out of her way to make sure that we had the wedding day we deserved even with all the restrictions were in place. She was excellent to communicate with and assisted us every step of the way to follow restrictions and still enjoy the day. The beverage bar was delicious and everything went without a hitch. The buildings are gorgeous with exposed beams and two beautiful fireplaces. We had the most beautiful back drop for our wedding. Not to mention Nicole and Silvertip worked with us to move dates and were flexible with our previously signed contract. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, the aesthetic and the food. It was all more than we could have asked for!
As an Alberta resident this was my first time playing the course. For promoting the course as high end resort, we were very disappointed with the layout and the overall condition of the course and the carts for the price paid. The course is very gimmicky with blind tee shots and 90 degree doglegs. The distance between holes was ridiculous (6 minute drive on a few of the holes). The greens are in very poor condition (a lot of dead spots and very patchy). Our golf cart ran out of power going up to the 17th tee box. It seems that the ownership has ran out of money to maintain the course and equipment. Overall, for the amount of money charged, there are a lot better options for courses other than Silvertip!
Beautiful course beautiful scenery can’t ask for more
Great everything, course, staff, greens, fairways, views…..u name it
Me and my wife came down here to play some golf for our honeymoon, unreal course top notch, only thing bad thing I would say is that many of the bunkers are over grown with weeds other than that greens are pure, staff very friends and helpful, I can’t wait to come back and play! 10/10!
Beautiful golf course
Beautiful course. Staff are very friendly and course was in great shape.
Great views, great service, fun course with a lot of elevation changes. Greens are currently not in great shape.
Silvertip is one of those bucket list course you have to play at least once in your life. I’ve had the pleasure of playing this course several times. The scenery is amazing! The green fees includes range balls. Put the driver away on this course. You won’t need it. Food is also really good!
Nice view and good food
Golf course is stunning. Experience is not. Green fees are expensive, but that is expected at high-end experience golf courses. But with that comes a few expectations. Bunkers scarified and maintained, gps in cart, sand on cart, towels in cart, ball wash facilities, a drinks cart on weekends and holidays. Signage could be better, after all there are many visitors playing. Carts are noisy and ours backfired too! Restaurant was unable to sit us at 2.45 after our round due to staff shortage on the weekend. Service needs to lift to match the fees and the absolutely stunning course.
Nice layout and good views. But for a course charging $150 the greens are atrocious. ~30% have re planted areas and all greens are bumpy.
By far the biggest golf course i have ever photographed for an event.hole 13 with the three sisters in the background is amazing. This course is on the side of a mountain with zig zags up amd down as well as water and sand traps. Just driving it is fun and i dont even golf. If you havent golfed this course and you are a golfer take some good golf shoes, some drinks, a hat and umbrella just in case. Great views when its not smokey or cloudy.
Pricey, but beautiful, it was slow but the Marshall was there to move things along...with those ahead of us, took 6 hours for 18 holes
Amazing view for wedding ceremony and reception.
The staff were great and really friendly. The course was challenging and fun. We had a great time. Will definitely come back and golf.
love this golf course. always take an extra club for the uphill shots. golf carts probably need to be serviced as the batteries in the one I had today was struggling for the last 4 holes to get up the hills. the other cart in our group had to push us up the hills:(
Great time range was really friendly and help.with course management. The serves was amazing at dinner in the pro shop gave us great service and help with or needs. Will be back course was fun to play views where amazing.
I was SHOCKINGLY surprised by how amazing this golf course is! Stunning scenic shots of the surrounding Rocky Mountains on almost every hole, unique hole layouts (long hitters beware - driver may stay in your bag for the full round!), and amazing clubhouse facilities. The BEST golf course in the Canmore area, hands down!!! Thank you, Silvertip, for a most memorable destination golf vacation. I WILL BE BACK!!!
Lots of movement, but that's what made this course so fun to play. You'll need to give extra thought on club selection due to elevation and hole design but the course was in fantastic shape and a blast to play! Looking forward to playing again sometime.
This place is a monster, its huge. Long greens and high angle fairways near the middle. I dont golf but we were there to photograph an event. The pathways are confusing esp around hole 17 but once you got it, its like you are on a self guided roller coaster near hole 13. This place is amazing, just make sure you set aside the day to do the full 18 holes.
View of the gold course sitting on the patio of the restaurant was amazing and the waitress friendly. The Beef Dip was terrible though: the sauce had no flavour at all, and the beef on the bun didn't taste like anything either. The yam fries were good though.
One of my favorite courses period. Golf early in the season to save a few bucks before summer kicks off. Worth it regardless.
Stunning views. I'd be very distracted playing golf.
I attended a wedding lately and love the view and the mountain view there. You don't hv to go too far away from Calgary then enjoy the fresh air there.
Very underwhelming, overall I was disappointed for the way my group was treated by this course staff. Staff was extremely rude, especially the Marshall. The course might be nice but save your money and find a better course that treats you like a human being.
Except these Young boys where throwing things and putting logs on the path and blowing air horns witch was annoying makes it hard to hit and play
Great, challenging course. Need to play it smart.
Most scenic golf course I've ever played, stunning view after stunning view. Fun layout, and great staff, fantastic customer service! Will definitely come back on my next trip out west
One of the best golf experiences. There aren’t many places you are able to golf with the amazing surroundings you have at this course. I played this course twice in the end of Aug and it was in amazing shape. Everything was just right. The greens were great, the fairways were amazing and the course was tough but fun. The only downside is that it does take quite a while to finish a round of golf here. Both times it was about 5 hours but I would highly recommend coming because you will not regret it. The food is also really good.
This course is amazing! Played it twice this weekend and loved it. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
An absolutely spectacular golf course, with incredible views of the mountains from tee to green. Keep your ball in play by aiming for the the 150 sticks and you will be fine. When in doubt remember your putt will brake to the valley.
Great course with excellent mountain and wild life views. The course plays really tight considering your on a mountain side.
Silvertip has been incredible to work with. We initially booked our wedding at Silvertip in 2018, for our wedding date summer 2020. When the pandemic hit, they were so proactive. Reaching out to couples, offering refunds, rescheduling, and moral support. I was finally able to have our wedding in September 2021 and they worked with ever changing restrictions, were extremely flexible in any requests, and were overall a dream to work with (let alone have a wedding at). Their coordinators were always so great at communicating, and were also thorough. I am glad we got to do a food tasting with them, but it wasn't even necessary, so many guests have commented on how delicious our buffet was. The views are stunning, and they know how to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.
Golfed Saturday morning of long weekend. Beautiful course but not even close to being worth the price. Course layout is poor requiring long drives between holes and poor signage. I thought I went the wrong direction multiple times and did a couple times. Bunkers resemble waste bunkers and have poor quality sand, rocks and exposed drainage, I expect those conditions from a $50 municipal course. No beverage cart. Marshall was rude and said to pick up and jump a hole when I was on 8 at 1:45 pace. Clubhouse patio was great with exceptional service and food. 5 star for that part.
Beautiful course. Nice staff
Kelly went above and beyond to make our ladies luncheon on the patio an experience to remember. The food is delicious, the scenery is breathtaking and the staff is professional, polite and very accommodating. We will be back again and will recommend Silvertip to all our friends, family and acquaintances. Thank you!!
A premier resort course that’s beautifully maintained and designed. The vistas on a few of the holes are some of the best in the Kananaskis region, and they’ve done a great job setting the course into the landscape. Course itself is tough, and plays long due to many uphill approaches. There’s a good balance of hazards, and the fairways aren’t too narrow to be impossible but still present a challenge. If you have trouble with aiming your shots, be prepared to lose a lot of balls to the trees. Great course, will definitely play again.
Best course in canmore. Best views. Best value. Best golf.
Beautiful Golf Course with terrific venues! Great place for a wedding with incredible food. Amazing atmosphere.
Nice
Wedding Ceremony at the Silvertip We had our wedding ceremony at the Silvertip gazebo and it was amazing. The views were spectacular, the set up was beautifully done with white chairs and they provided champagne as well. It is definitely a great value. We would definitely recommend.
Great course. What a view when u first walk up to the driving range!!! Food was great and we were greeted by excellent staff.
We booked by phone with the Pro shop Monday and we got a good tee time and we were set! After we pay in person and go to the starter we find out they just Aerated the greens and sanded them! The greens were horrible and they did all 18! There was basically 2 putt rule! They were that bad! I just find it in very poor taste they did not tell us at the time of booking firstly so we would have the opportunity to book elsewhere, than did not tell us in the pro shop either. Only the starter filled us in! When I said that was not very good he said that why we got a discount! Discount we paid $125 each. He said they usually charge $180! I have played this course years ago but will not be playing it any more! Beautiful setting but hardly worth $180 green fees! I love the fact they have local beer but the water they supply!! From Quebec! Really!!
Definitely one of the best patios around Canmore. The chicken parmigani was fantastic!
The food here always is so tasty. Love sitting out on the patio because of the view... Spectacular!
Stunning views around every bend, beautifully manicured from tee to green, but the greens need work, very bumpy.
I volunteered for a fundraising tournament for Rocky Mountain Adaptive. Silvertip golf course did an awesome job at supporting our event!
Amazing golf course!
We had the pleasure of collaborating on a Citrus inspired wedding at Silvertip Resort and we can't gush enough about the venue and its absolutely stunning scenic views! We highly recommend this venue for all events and occasions!
Amazing View ..amazing Wings served
Fun course, tons of elevation
mountin golph
Amazing views!
The course is in excellent condition and very nice services. People are nice.
If you’re looking to book your wedding here, I’d highly recommend. We were supposed to have our 2020 wedding at Silvertip. They were a dream vendor to work with start to finish. Although we didn’t end up having a wedding at all, Silvertip was the easiest, kindest vendor to work with. Communication was quick and clear, and they were very understanding and flexible with the ever-changing scenarios. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.
Views are jaw dropping. Staff are very polite and knowledgeable about the area. Food was top notch. We had lunch before golf and hit the steakhouse afterwards. Course is pretty forgiving, fairways gather up tee shots. Greens do not break as much as one thinks. Pace of play was a bit slow. Course marshals need to grow some “balls” and kick people off the course if needed. We had a foursome in front of us and a couple of the morons had cowboy boots on. The marshal told us it was too late they already paid. With that being said put this course on your bucket list. A true mountain course.
