Poor service. Guy behind the desk was really rude. Request a mid size sedan and got a Dodge Ram. Did not offer me insurance and then said that I refused it. Getting a rental thru my insurance during the time my car is getting fixed. If I was paying from my own money, I would have definitely walk out the door and go to Budget way better service there.

The place is easier to get to. However I discovered in the worse way that, if you don't have a international driver license, you can't rental a car. So, check your international driver license before rental!!!!

I’ve used enterprise before and had fine experiences but have had a hard time dealing with the Canmore location. The first time I booked a rental the agent refused to rent it to me claiming she suspected me of fraud since I have an out of province licence and hoped to pay with debit. I ended up loosing the money I had spent on a hotel and tour as I had no vehicle to get there. I decided to give it another shot a couple months later. I wanted to rent a car for 2 days from Thursday evening - Saturday evening. Since they close on Saturday at noon and don’t open at all on Sundays, I was told I’d be charged double for 4 days. There is no option to do an after hours drop. Additionally, the cars do not have winter tires in a province where many roads legally require them in winter months.

Rent here quite often for work. Staff are great - always friendly, professional and helpful. Good location near several hotels, and close to the local bus transit stops.

Would’ve given 0 if I could. I’m in disbelief at how unprofessional they handled reservation. Arrived early only to experience the same as another review on here that the door was locked even though it was during business hours and the sign showed ‘Open’. Then learned that they’ve rented out the vehicle under my reservation even though I arrived 5 mins before pick up??

No one answers the phone. Been calling for nearly an hour. Not sure why they need to talk for hours on the phone with 1 customer when there are other customers waiting. Their call message box is FULL, can't even leave a message.

Tyler was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. Our car broke down in Canmore so we booked an SUV online, Tyler let us know they didn't have one available until the next day. He set us up with a different car to get us to Banff that night and then called us the next morning and drove an SUV from Canmore to Banff for us. We really appreciated his help and he went above and beyond for us, he deserves a raise!!!

After a recent run in with some wildlife, he set me up with a rental vehicle very fast while my car went to the repair shop. We had a great experience renting a car from Enterprise in Vancouver. We booked a compact car and recieved a complimentary upgrade to a premium. Probably a relocation for them as we were going to Alberta and that is were the car was plated, though given it was a 3 week rental It was a great bonus for us. Drop off was easy, we decided to change the drop off date by dripping it off the morning after our original booked time and at a different location and it was noooo problem. Only issue I had was the car was only half full, which meant returning it half full, though given out was a rental from Vancouver heading to Canmore via Shuswap, a full tank would have made life easier, by not having to fill up on the first run out of Vancouver.

Edit: Problem was solved in a good way! I just need to inform that you really need a international drive license in Alberta. The problem is that it should be notified when you try to rent the car online, because when you read the Enterprise’s policy, you think that it’s fine. I still lost some money and days of my trip, that’s why I didn’t give 5 stars but a really appreciated their actions to minimize the damages. ————————- Extremely horrible! They didn't accepted a valid Brazilian's Driver's License because the attendant requested a International Driver’s Permit who is not required (only recommended as you can see in Enterprise's Policy). I was in Banff and booked a car to go to Vancouver. It was holiday (easter) and it was hard to find a car, but I found in Canmore. I let my friend with all my luggage at a Tim Hortons in Banff and I took a bus to Canmore. Since the guy didn't accept the driver license I had to go back to Banff, pick all the luggage and book a hotel in Banff until April 3rd because there was no car available in anywhere because of the holidays. I paid 508 CAD in a hotel just to wait for a car in another agency to go to Vancouver! Since this guy didn't know his own rental policy I lost 3 days of my trip to Vancouver and lost a lot of money!

Called an hour before this place closed to arrange a rental as my truck broke down and had to be towed into Canmore. The guy who answered the phone told me that they closed in an hour and couldn't help me. I asked if it was possible to wait an extra hour for me and I would gladly pay an extra surcharge as my family was now stranded including my 4 month old baby. The guy on the phone stated that his staff was already overworked, working 55hrs/week and he couldn't wait around for me. Enterprise closed at noon that today.... I passed right by it in the tow truck at 12:12. Thanks Enterprise ????????

Car I was given slides on snow (the smallest amount too). I told them before hand I needed to drive into Calgary a few days for work, the day I worked it snowed and the car was sliding all over the place. Which is very frustrating since I told them I needed to be driving on the highway. Of course it’s a Sunday and they aren’t open. So I had to go into Banff and rent another vehicle so I could get into work. So I am paying an extra 600$ for another vehicle because enterprise couldn’t give me a reliable vehicle in the first place. I can say one thing is for sure I will never be using that company again. I spent way to much money in rental cars for absolutely no reason because of them. Advise not making the same mistake I did.

(Translated) The staff is courteous and friendly certainly but very malicious, we rented a car specifying that we would go to Jasper road on which winter snow tires are mandatory. The staff did not offer a vehicle with this option so we thought damned French that these were included to our surprise we had four seasons tires .. We discovered the joy of the icefield park by slipping. Thank you for this very bad experience, fortunately we have been careful. (Original) Le personnel est courtois et sympathique certes mais très malveillant, nous avons loué une voiture en précisant que nous irions à Jasper route sur laquelle en hiver les pneus neiges sont obligatoire. Le personnel ne nous a pas proposé de véhicule avec cette option nous avons donc pensé maudits français que ceux ci étaient compris à notre surprise nous avons eu des pneus 4 saisons.. Nous avons découvert la joie de l'icefield parkway en glissant. Merci pour cette très mauvaise expérience,heureusement que nous avons été prudents.

Had an appointment to get picked up at 10:30, they were not there i had to go across town to their location to get the car since i was on a schedule and even then it took around 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. What’s the point of making an appointment if you’re going to do whatever you want. Zero respect for peoples time

Brody found our handicap placard that we had left in the rental vehicle. He phoned us on a Sunday when they were supposed to be closed! Wow! We had ventured far enough away from Canmore that we ccouldn't turn around, so he sent it by Priority Post to Vancouver so we could get it back. Thanks so much. Had been dealing with enterprise all morning since 9 took a gamble and drove to Canmore to maybe get some help with the cars tire even road side was having trouble getting to us. Matt and jordan got us on the road within 30 mins of getting there after wasting 3:30 hours with everyone else. So thank you to both of them for getting us back on the road on our honeymoon as quickly as possible as they could!

Reserved a minivan for a 10 day rental. I stopped in in person a couple days ahead of time and they said they would probably not have a minivan available after all. They offered a couple of alternatives, including giving us two smaller cars for the price of the minivan rental, but I asked that they work hard to get us the minivan that we requested. They came through for us almost 100% - they got us a 7 passenger Ford Flex which worked out quite well. Many thanks for Joseph D. Owen who made the arrangements. Their hours were not a problem for us, but it would be great if they could be open longer. I will use Enterprise again on our next trip to Canmore.

Driving from Regina with out RV, we wanted to rent a car for week long stay in Canmore for hockey camp. The reservation was made about a week in advance for a noon pickup on Saturday. When we made the reservation we were unaware they also closed at noon. Enterprise called Friday to inform us they had our car, and wanted confirmation. We were glad they did, it took our minds off things. Unfortunately, although our best efforts were made to keep the reservation time, there was a two vehicle accident on the #1 highway that delayed us for about an hour. This, of course, meant our noon appt was missed. When we called Enterprise to let them know we'd be late, we were surprised we got a voice message saying they were now closed. Further, they aren't open on Sunday, so now we have no car until Monday. Why no phone call, Enterprise? Could you not use due diligence out of respect ? We called you out of respect. You could do the same. No sticky note on the door to say 'Taylor family if you get here, call this # and we'll come by'. Nothing. When we looked online, our tracking number was useless. As if we never even made an arrangement for a car. We called again and left messages and no ones called because Enterprise doesn't care. That should be your new slogan. "Enterprise, we'll get ya there, but only if you're on time because really, we don't care"

Exceptional service by Mike Campanaro! Our desired full-sized vehicle was not available but was given a selection of mid-sized cars and rental price lowered accordingly. The VW Jetta we rented was clean and we didn't have any problem going around the Banff/Jasper area. Enterprise is our go-to rental service whenever pick-up service is required.

Requested mid-sized rental car in person as replacement vehicle while our car was being repaired by local body shop. Request made two days ahead of time. All the mid-sized cars were rented out to other customers on the day we needed the rental car. As customers we were defintely at the bottom of the barrel in terms of priority. A small car was brought in from Banff for us. We were told that we had to take the small car or wait for the morning for a larger vehicle. There was garbage left in the vehicle. It had not been cleaned.

Truck broke down last week and I needed one for work quickly so I phoned them and no trucks available but maybe the next day,4 days of calls and a promise they could get a truck from Calgary and today they say they can't get a truck so pretty disgusted.They should have told me this 3 days ago and I would have drove 40 minutes to Cochrane were in I am sure they could find me a vehicle.

Branch Manager couldn’t find a car in 3 weeks. I am a very loyal customer of the enterprise and never had any problems, even tho I do rent a lot (I have gold almost platinum status). And this time I’ve been renting a car from January 1st which is already for more than 2 months. Last time I was doing a monthly rental on a long weekend thus was required to rent it from the Calgary airport as all other locations were closed. Because of the long weekend there was a huge rush and a lack of cars thus I was not able to get an SUV which I totally understood. I had a long distance trip planned in two weeks from the day I rented a car and in this winter conditions in a mountains area I definitely feel more comfortable driving an SUV. Because I know that the enterprise operates as a chain of branches by their policies you could do procedures in any location, so the next day I am coming to this branch located in Canmore and asking to exchange my car to any SUV. Branch manager was on the duty that day and told me that currently there are no available SUVs but he can take my details and give me a call whenever there will be available car. This definitely worked for me as I explained that I honestly need it in next two weeks. During this two weeks I haven’t received any single call regarding my request. So I came to the branch again and friendly reminded about my request and the the trip that I am having the next day, however he told me again the same things. So i ended up renting another second vehicle (SUV) from the competitor in the area, who by the way was happy to provide me an additional discount after I told him the store. Now couple more very important details: 1. I was checking enterprise booking system almost every day and was able to see SUVs in stock in this location during these 2 weeks 2. I live almost across the street from this location and can see that it had a lot of SUVs in stock and they are staying there overnight When I asked about how come he can’t find me a car but has them on a parking lot manager told to me that these are for the customers who made reservations weeks ago. Sounds like a lie His suggestion was to go to Calgary airport which is 100km+ drive I strongly believe that this is not a company policy but a very poor management who doesn’t want to do his job, as month ago I had another issue with my car and asked for the replacement exactly in this location and there was a lady (if I’m not mistaken she is a regional manager) who handled this request perfectly. There were no cars at the moment but she was giving me a call on a daily basis with the update that she is still looking for a car and found it on the third day. Overall because of this situation I am not going to continue renting a car at the enterprise for quite a while and will explore other options. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of that guy but he was on duty Feb 25th, 2021 and I believe he is the branch manager
