Beautiful course!

Deep Patel

must play golf course. the back nine is not to be missed.

John Bender

Back 9 super hard but amazing views and super wicked landscape. Its out of this world type landscape id highly recommend it. Get a full 18 like the back 9 and it'd blow everyone's mind. Loved the friendly, proactively helpful staff. Riley's course tips were a great help.

Johnny Tran

In my experience, if you're travelling and get hungry... look for a golf course with a clubhouse. Chances are, you're going to find a good menu with items prepared by good cooks. This clubhouse falls into that category. Expensive, sure-- it's a golf course.. But if you find yourself on this golf course, for whatever reason, and find yourself hungry.. this is good fare.

Tyler Walker

Amazing course. Back nine is brutal.

Nigel Naylor

Tough course, but an awesome landscape

I did not go through out the trail but I really like the small church. It is simple but you can feel the sacredness and the dedication of who made it.

Kelly Cushing

Challenging

Georgia Galka

Jeff Scott

Front nine is pretty standard much like most treed courses but the back nine is unique. The back nine is right in the badlands, very difficult but a lot of fun to golf. Don't even think about walking it, you will need a cart.

Blaine Zimmer

First I want to say this is a really beautiful course unlike no other I have golfed before. However, on this last trip, I did not golf there as was told when I arrived that they no longer accepted the Groupon that I had. The Groupon was purchased only a few months prior. They told me that they no longer had an account and that I could try and get money back from them. I was a little peeved at this as this is all they said when I mentioned that I was from a few hours away and had made a special trip to golf at their course, as I have done every summer. They didn't offer any other solution ( ie. A discounted round as I was already there perhaps). Anyway, I felt that they perhaps should have honored the coupon and tried to get the money from Groupon themselves. They would have had two very happy golfers that would have continued to come back time and tee time, again. Instead, I'm left feeling if I even want to support the course in the future.

Challenging course, bring extra balls for the back 9

Stoik Notion

Fairways need a lot of work - it's ok course not in the best shape and over booked

True course is beautiful, the back 9 however is a challenge to tell where the greens are with most tee shots being blind.

William Wong

Lovely golf course but that back 9 is f’n hard! Shot a terrible round but it was still a great day.

Josh Bhikoo

Ashley S

The best course so far. Food is the ticket to a great game. The buttermilk fried chicken the best north of the Pacos

Manpreet Singh

Course wouldn't honor golf pass coupon, wish we knew before making the drive from edmonton, golfed, but will never go back!!!!!

Craig Blasetti

Awesome course. The back 9 is a lot of fun!

Eric Fox

Want a place... Hidden Gem !!!

Geordie Stowell

Front 9 is country club style with huge trees lining the fairways, quite flat but still a bit challenging. Back 9 is amazing!!! Lots of target golf, great views, and super challenging. Badlands in every direction, from deep and steep gullies to towering hills. Every kind of challenge a person could imagine. If your shot is off the fairway just say goodbye to your ball and move on. It's a fun day of golf. Can't wait to get back.

Love this course. A perfect riverfront nine and than a back 9 filled with hoodoos, rattle snake and lost balls. You won't find this anywhere else plus they have an amazing chicken burger and a great new patio!

Bradley Curnew

Nice course at a good price

Darryl Drohomerski

The front 9 is beautiful but the back 9 is out of this world. Must play (bring a few extra balls).

Bernadette Langenkamp

Beautiful course. Good value and excellent service in the clubhouse/lounge.

Emily Parizeau

Great food! Beautiful patio!

Bryan MacLeod

World class golf. The back nine is very challenging

Larry & Jackie Willard

Great course the back 9 is a little tough, just needs a beer cart!

Les Warner

Tyrell Scott

Great place to golf! Clean and well kept!

Ryan Smith

Nice typical opening front nine, which then doesn't prepare you for the target golf that is required for most of the holes on the back nine.

Gerald Tetz

Nice course, tough, need straight shots

Robyn Keller

I finally get to try this course. All the review is true. This course is Beauty and the Beast. The front nine is in a mature setting with lots mature trees. The back nine has beautiful scenery of the rock ages, but very difficult course to manage and you will need lots of balls. I highly recommend this course.

Charlotte Davidson

One of the most under rated courses in Alberta. The back nine is my favorite nine in the province, simply stunning.

n fik

Greg Christensen

Probably one of the best courses I've played. The front 9 weren't so bad lots of greens and flowing river near by. But when you hit the back 9. It's like a competent different course. Be prepared to lose a bunch of golf balls. There are all kinda of heights and canyons to shoot over. It's truly amazing to see. I had such a great time even though I lost a bunch of golf balls. I will definitely be back.

Bowser Godin

Stop down for lunch.... smaller menu food was good....

Absolute must play for anyone who swings clubs even once a year. Front nine is picturesque but a fairly basic layout. Greens were fantastic but fairways were a touch on the long side. I would say the greens rolled true and were quick but not lightning fast, still faster than most greens I've played on in Alberta. The Back nine is where the fun truly starts. You literally play on the tops of the HooDoo's, it's very challenging target golf with long traverses between holes and shots. The greens and fairways (what little fairway was to be had) were still in great shape up there. Truly a golf experience like no other. Pro tip: do not play the back nine from the blues, it is target golf, and will take away from your enjoyment and your golf ball supply.

Val Avery

Beautiful course. Back 9 is tough but amazing views.

Sean Herridge-Berry

Melanie

Great track!! Pretty wild back 9!!!

MC M

Megan McKenzie

A beautiful course. The back nine is unforgiving.

Andrew Dewdney

Wonderful course with both a relaxing front nine and a challenging and spectacularly beautiful back nine.

Joy U

Had a real good time ! The back 9 hole is on a level that you need to be on your game lol or like me and my buddie Bring lots of balls . . Do yourselves a favor you need to visit Drumheller or any other little small country town you would not believe people are the best I'm there every week for this past six years and I would not trade it in for anyting

Sebastien Durand

Oh yes I'm definitely coming back to Dinosaur Trail Golf Resort it doesn't tame me I tame it

Barry Hart

Chantellylace E

Great price awesome views and the course was is tip top shape. Clubhouse has a great brunch too!

Scott Woloshin

The front nine is the typical tree lined golf course. All these holes build to the wonder that is the back nine. The back nine is so unique, you’re playing atop the Hoodoo formations which make you feel like you’re on Mars. The course is fantastic and is a definite must play.

Ward Edwards

Ryan Semchuk

It's a beautiful course, the back 9 my god it's amazing this is a challenge every golfer should experience. I highly recommend this course and hope people support it.

Michael Colbourne

I see the potential of this course to be spectacular. Front 9 is kinda normal back nine is something to see. Only complaints would be the fairways were not cut and the greens were a little beaten up. It would be very helpful to have a book on the back nine specifically as there are many blind shots and you will lose many balls if you do not know where to hit to.

Vee Bagga

Cody Dale-McNair

Nice front nine, bugs were pretty thick though

John Shoff

One of a kind golf course - true gem in the badlands of Alberta. An absolute must for any golfer.

Dennis Amato

Great place to test your skills

Fred Wiles

We love this course. Used to play it all summer when we had a trailer site at Hoodoo RV resort but try to get here at least once a year. Thanks Tommy for sneaking us in on your tournament weekend.

Bob Cromwell

Very nice driving range, not crowded and you drive off grass not mats. What is really cool is driving balls into the bad lands (nature). Not really sure how they collect the balls though! The only downside is that the range is far from the club house and you have to walk all the way over there. We asked the cart boy to drive us to the range and he refused saying it is not allowed, so we were walking over there and he drove past us to the range with an empty cart as if we did not exist. That was kindda rude and inconsiderate. I guess the cart boy is the one who will be walking through rough rocky lands to pick up the balls after all!

Alicia Matthews

Rachel Phillips

Nice little course. The back 9 is a unique experience.

Dan Odynski

A very contrasting front and back nine, and both are beautiful and fun! Very friendly and hospitable staff. Well worth the visit. The back nine is unlike any course I've played.

Back nine cart paths are in terrible condition, almost dangerous in places. Worth playing once as the vistas are unique but won't rush back.

Front 9 old school...back 9 is a blast.

Pat Ford

Played there recently before 8am; this meant a great rate with cart (which you will need for the back 9). The course was in outstanding shape and the staff was friendly. The back 9 is an astounding setting with tee boxes and greens set up on ledges and fairways wide enough to hit but not much room beyond that before the cliffs start. Bring a camera as there is a picture at every hole on the back 9. The front 9 also has charm and brings it's own challenges without the elevation changes. I'd play there again.

Sean Donahue

Great and challenging. Amazing veiws

Doug Kozak

I like to think of the course as Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde because the the front vs back 9 are so different. Front 9 is a nice casual walk in the park that still presents some challenges with tree lined fairways and some small water hazards. I'd use the front 9 to gauge how many fairways you hit because you'll need to know if you're bringing a slice into the back 9. The back 9 is completely target golf and there's little room for miss hits. Although it's a challenge, the views are incredible and it's so fun to play. It's also good to play the back 9 a couple times or if you're lucky, with some members, to help with the blind approach shots. It gets pretty windy up top the hoodoos so take that into consideration too.

Awesome golf course will definitely be back and decent rates...

Morgan Eros

Beautiful course but that is all. The guy taking tee times wasn’t very friendly. I don ‘t think he liked his job. We played 9 holes( there were 4 of us from out of town ), We could not use 3 Green’s as they were sanding them. When we approached the not so friendly guy in the pro shop, he just said he didn’t know that . I would think that is something that he should know since he is taking tee times.. Also No COVID Protocol in the club house. Only people wearing mask were the people coming into golf. When we were done with our carts we were told to just put them in the regular line up of carts. Not very impressed especially w,hen it’s a beautiful course. Will never go back there to golf and will tell our experience to others.

Jennifer Franzin

Fun on the range

Ryan Conley

Gary Lomenda

Loved it! Unique golf course in Drumheller, very reasonably priced. Round of 18 with cart for around $75. I take a group of 4 guys from Calgary every year, everyone asks to come back.

Luke McFadyen

5 star course unless the wind is blowing.

Roger Pelletier

Awesome course. We only played 9 holes. I will definitely be back to play the back nine.

A very challenging golf course especially the back 9. The back 9 demands accuracy off the tee box and great course management to maneuver the ball to the hole. If your golf swing is sub par then be prepare to rehit many golf balls adding up the penalty strokes. The course is well maintained from tee box to green. I love the golf course and can't wait to back to Dinosuar Trail Golf Course. Oh yes, the food is very good as well.

Mark McLeod

Friendly staff, beautiful course! Will be golfing there again for sure!

James Spencer

Cory Miles

Real challenge here is the back nine built into the hoodoos with elevated T Boxes hitting into blind landing spots. Very picturesque although the whole 18 was dry and hard packed. Greens not bad.

Gary Brown

Take 9 beer and 18 balls for the back 9, your going to need it. Fun but very challanging! Il be back soon to loose more balls!

Ryan Szol

Starting back 9 is very nice. I enjoy this course very much

Sam Govinda

Allan Gross

Robert Nimmo

Fun course. Back 9 is challenging, but the front 9 was beautiful.

Brandi Avery

Improved clubhouse, and a back 9 that you can talk about for months. Just make sure you come loaded up with golf balls that you aren't emotionally attached to. Will be back many times to come

Samer Kobrosly

I've seen some reviews complaining about the condition of the course, so I was expecting a unique experience with some incredible views but poor conditions. A course you play ones to say you have. Well I was wrong, the course is in excellent condition. Greens run fast and true, think rough, well maintains fairways. If anothing, some of the tee boxs may have needed to smallest amount of work, but thats nit-picking. Staff are incredibly friendly, course is challenging but incredible, couldn't recommend this course enough.

Steve Klimuk

Amazing gem of a golf course. We went in the fall when the rest of Alberta was in winter prep mode and it was still gloriously warm and sun baked at this course. Like a little slice of Phoenix at home. The front 9 and back 9 are totally different courses. Enjoy the scenery, forget about your score. Thank me later. Pro tip: use the groupon.

Mike Alldread

Love this golf course and the unique terrain. Worth it to do at least once! I usually do it once a year!

sean williams

Very DISAPPOINTING & FRUSTRATING. Played the course Saturday August 28th and understood being a Saturday it may take a bit longer but over 5 hours and that was even after we finally drove off the course at 17 as the waits between holes had become completely ridiculous. I called the pro shop at hole 6 where there were three groups standing and waiting. Watched a pro go by but nothing changed. Brought it up again at the turn and again nothing changed other than seeing three groups pack up and leave. Hoped it would change on the back nine but after the first hole (10) we were back into the 10 to 15 minute waits. Will never return or recommend this course. Not worth the money, very gimmicky and staff who don’t care. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Martha McDiarmid

Cart path needs a lot of work, they do not have a liquor license.

Andrew Nason

Absolutely beautiful back nine. Breathtaking (and ball eating) layout up in the Badlands.

Mike Larson

back 9 will make you rise to the occasion, unlike any other course i have played in Canada!

Brad Peake

Ernst Rietmann

Great variety of terrain. Hoodoos are fun challenge. Sand and water were interesting.

Don Carter

Nice course friendly staff.

Gorgeous course. The front 9 is completely different from the back 9. Loved it..

Lindy MacLeod

Ok.. trails are bit rough.. had a nice golf cart service

Peter Yee

Great course. Back 9 very challenging.

Ian Walks

Jane Cole

Great course tucked away by the Royal Tyrell museum. The back 9 is one of the most challenging I've played in AB. Hoodoos and tight fairways mean you have to be on point with your irons. Very reasonable price with the Groupon would go again.

Rafael Talavera

The course is great a bit more challenging on the back nine. but the views especially with fall colors just Beautiful. It serves food but wouldn't count on it we tried for breakfast and the offered a hot dog

Brian Hjlesvold

On the back nine lay up on your lay up shot! But seriously, bring extra balls for the back nine. VERY challenging but definitely worth playing this course!

Steve Fry

Only did the front nine. We were advised there was new ownership sometime in the past year. Not accepting single golfers. No liquor license at this time. There were other beverages and snacks available. No merchandise available for purchase. The first nine is pretty easy ... some water, a few sand traps, minimal bush. Greens had numerous divots ... some fresh, some older. The fairways were in okay shape. The bathroom (not an outhouse) at hole seven was probably the dirtiest I've ever stepped into.

Ainslie Macfarlane

**NO LIQUOR LICENSE** this was something at one time, but it's run down now. Clubhouse is a waste of time. They couldn't even heat up a hot dog- seriously. The course is definitely worth checking out though. The back 9 is unique with the hoodoos and a completely different terrain than the front 9. Just bring your own food and drinks, and you'll leave with a great experience.

Robert Dionne

The views on the back 9 were amazing!!

Golf course was fine. Always a good trip and great experience. Unfortunately we did have a very negative experience in the proshop. Booked as a two some and wanted to walk the front 9 and ride the back. We were met with a very rude, negative and judgemental attitude in the proshop. "it's busy out here, you won't be able to keep up with pace of play". 2 fit adults on a flat, short golf course. After some convincing and more judgemental comments we walked the front. Played in 1hr and 40minutes and played through a 4 some riding carts. I get it , not everyone plays fast and there is an expectation of pace of play which I appreciate. But bringing up this conversation in a different manner would have gone along way.

Darryl Zelisko

Very nice place to play a 4 man tournament

김건우

Andrea Kibblewhite

Great course and well maintained. Two different courses in one. Golf among the hoodoos. A must if you are in the area.

Roxy Murphy

This is a course that you will never play anywhere else. The front nine is a beautiful nine holes plush fairways tree lined. Then we get to the back, wow this nine is played in the badlands fairways are narrow, greens are nice, just very different nine holes from the front. My husband and myself really enjoy the challenge this course offers.

Hina Hassan

Tiffany Milton

Great course for the beginner to the expert, front nine is very well kept, back nine is awesome!!

Gary Storrs

Try golfing the back 9, it's a hard course but the views are amazing, which almost make you forget how many balls you have lost...

Steven Barlow

Really great back 9. So different from the front 9

Big john Fleming

An absolute must play course! One of a kind course in fantastic shape!

Derek Martin

Get at least 2 games in here every summer. Great fish and chips in restaurant

terry koch

Lyn Langstaff

Love this course. The front nine is a well treed standard course. It has a Par 5 semi island green and a wonderful Par 3 over a pond. Great layout. BUT then you hit the back nine. This is exceptional and a one of a kind. Hoodoo's, snakes, elevation, blind shots etc. Amazing. Be prepared to lose a lot of balls. The deck has wonderful food with a nice view of the first hole tee off. A MUST play course.

Fred Gardner

Great exciting course, a must do

Cody F

Watch out for the back nine Wind and lack of landing areas is the challenge. Get by that and the golf is amazing.

Mr. G Dean

The back 9 is awesome.
