At Avenue magazine we have worked with Artists Within makeup artists for years on fashion and editorial photo shoots. The artists are always professional, pleasant and talented, which is why we go back to them year over year. I've also been so personally impressed with the quality of the makeup that the artists frequently used from their own AW03 collection that I started using it myself and now it's almost the only line I use.

Amazing makeup school! I was able to achieve an ITEC Certificate and my Makeup Diploma virtually!

I attended Artists Within and took the makeup diploma back in March of 2016 and absolutely loved the experience. The school offers a full-time program and a part-time program which is perfect for people from all walks of life who want to follow their passion. I want to start out by saying that the front staff are AMAZING. They're extremely friendly and knowledgeable which was helpful when I was first looking to attend Artists Within. I was given all the information I needed, was walked through the course, shown around the school and they happily answered any questions that I had. I remember being a nervous wreck on my first day however that quickly faded. My instructor Shauna was absolutely amazing and she was extremely patient and made sure that everyone understood what we were doing at all times since everyone in my class had different levels of experience with makeup. The first day was relatively straight forward. We went through makeup theory and we went through our kits thoroughly to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The kit itself was a great size and I really enjoyed working with the makeup products we received in our kit. We learned everything from your basic day look, night look, smokey eye, bridal makeup, period makeup, make up for mature skin, etc. We received a demo from our instructor for every single makeup look we were learning. We received thorough notes which made it a lot easier to review and help us practice at home when we weren't at school. Artists Within starts to feel like one big family, not just a school. I woke up excited to go to school and learn. I became more confident in my abilities and started to challenge myself more. I made some great friends and enjoyed my time there. Also applying for jobs has been a dream and I am excited to start my career. A lot of places I have applied to are extremely impressed to see Artists Within on my resume. It's a very highly accredited school and it would be a huge mistake for anyone to attend makeup school anywhere else. Over all my experience was absolutely amazing and I have returned for hair styling and will also be taking airbrush and eyelash extensions.

Over the last year I have completed my Basic Makeup Diploma + ITEC Certificate, Airbrushing Certificate, Advanced Makeup Diploma, Hairstyling Diploma, and Special FX Diploma at Artists Within. Learning makeup artistry during covid has had its difficulties, I did my first two courses online and my last three in person, but overall I was able to take a lot away from the experience. Tara (the owner) taught the online courses. I thought she reviewed and explained all of the information very well with exceptional patience. I received consistent and informative feedback from all of my assignments and felt greatly confident going into my next diploma. Shantel taught my Advanced and Special FX courses, with Advanced going further into characterization, body painting, and creativity. Contrary to my confidence, Advanced challenged me the most because it was so different from basics. That being said, the challenge was a learning opportunity that allowed me to grow as a makeup artist and now I love body painting (something I didn’t think I would enjoy). Special FX was definitely my favorite course. Shantel did an amazing job teaching the content and she is an exceedingly kind and supportive person. There is a lot of information to understand, apply, and memorize, but it was SO MUCH FUN! At the end of each diploma we had a photoshoot that gave us the opportunity to practice being ‘on-set’. Unfortunately, due to covid my basic and hairstyling photoshoots needed to be pushed back. This was because the school had to shut down due to government restrictions which was out of their control. The experiences you get from them is amazing and you get professional photos to slowly build your portfolio. They can feel overwhelming, however each time I completed one it got less stressful, and I felt more prepared. Additionally, you also have access to feedback and guidance through the photoshoots if you want it. Being out of school is really weird but I feel excited about my future as a makeup artist. Furthermore, the school goes above and beyond by offering to assist you with finding and applying to jobs and volunteer opportunities. I would definitely reccomend this school and I hope to come back in the future to add to my skill set!

Hi, I took all the makeup courses and the actual material was great but the owner was a little callous. The school is very money focused and they will try to intimidate you if you push back too much or have any problems with them. Its very frustrating. Its also unfortunate because the material you learn is incredibly helpful, but the environment isn't conducive to the best learning. There is little sympathy for students and they expect you to accommodate them. The lunch room problem that happened over the course of a month didnt need to happen. The teachers are allowed to eat in the classrooms and building but the students aren't. During exams the website was down so people couldn't study for our written, and when they did get the website up only half of us had access. this wasn't fixed until after the exam had basically started. it was so much unnecessary stress. It would be different if they had listened to us and worked with us. But instead the staff got mad and petty and called us fussy for just not wanting to be homeless for an hour in the middle of winter at lunch. I love the people that work there out of the school setting but inside is an absolute hay day. So no, I don't recommend this school.

I attended Artist Within Makeup Academy in 2018. Upon completion in January 2019, I received my Makeup Diploma. It was the best decision made in my current career as a Permanent Makeup Artist and Esthetician. I was always fascinated with models who had flawless skin, it became my mission when I started this program. I cannot begin to explain how many great tools and techniques I had received from my course. I learned how to apply makeup giving the model flawless skin, also how to blend and various other ways to contour. Working with colours was really fun and super handy. I never imagined this course to be so packed with information, in-depth studies of the skin, face shapes, brows, different eras of make-up and a tonne of other things among the mentioned. I have gone back several times to ask for some help and each time the instructor has welcomed my questions with detailed information and always with smiles! My teacher Jessica Luther did an outstanding job teaching our group for four months. She is very thorough and a great communicator. She always explained things and always had her eyes on each classmate. I loved how she was always so positive and is a supportive teacher. Since graduating, I have stayed in touch with the school's alumni group which always updates us with new job opportunities and upcoming events. I have taken many courses, and programs in my career. This is one program I would highly recommend anyone who wants to join the world of Fashion/Photography/Film through Make-up Artistry. This school can train you to be a professional worldwide.

First off, THANK YOU THANK YOU, to this incredible academy!! Wow! Artists Within is one hell of an A+ academy to learn at! They've got the most efficient options when it comes to the courses and training, which were PERFECT for me due to also starting a home-based small business (Cady's Dragon Giftwares).. I was able to juggle both and AW both encouraged AND made sure I was a success in both endeavours!!! The instructors are EVEN MORE PHENOMENAL than the in-depth courses too (if that's even possible!?!).. All of them are awesome and exceedingly knowledgeable so that no matter what, you're not only getting your money's worth, you're ALSO beyond competent with your own skill set they ensure you leave equipped with! I know it may sound bad to pick favourites because they are ALL wonderful.. but I'd have to honestly say Ashton is my personal favourite!! You get a real "family-oriented" feel with these guys and what more could you really ask for! AW's products are also second-to-none in my professional opinion.. well worth the cost, and they're all 100% worth the prices. The quality and selection is far superior to anything I've bought and worked with up until now! THANK YOU ARTISTS WITHIN!!!! An experience and name you can not only trust, but also one you'll spend the rest of your life comparing others to! (They'll all pale in comparison, believe me!) Artists Within just can't be beat!!!

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY!! I recently enrolled a friend for the course, as a gift, she had little experience but has been glamming friends. She sent me a few images of the 'online academy' with value low rank videos, basic skill-set and just all about low-quality. I recommend doing your research. This school seems to have been ok back in the day but has lost its quality. I work in tech and found out they have some (A LOT!) of fake followers on their Instagram. 12.3k followers - really? Phony! (Photo attached of their material) everything found can be found on google or made with word.

I just graduated from Artists Within a few months ago. All I have to say is WOW! I love this school the front staff are amazing and are always there to help you no matter what. My instructor was Scarlett she is an amazing artist and instructor. I feel like I have the confidence and experience to go into the Makeup world and conquer it. I actually have an interview for M.A.C next week fingers crossed I get it. I am now going to be doing Artists Within Advanced Makeup and Special FX. I will eventually do the Fashion and Hair. Thank you so much for everything and for helping me reach my goal and live my dream.

Hands down the best Makeup School in the city! I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to be called an alumna of this institution. They have opened so many opportunities for me that I could never imagine I would experience in a very short period of time. After I finally decided to end my 10-year journey in the corporate world, I took a leap of faith and followed my dreams of becoming a full-time Professional MUA. I attended the Makeup Diploma Course in October 2020 with expectations of learning how to refine my skills and to gain more knowledge in etiquette within the industry. I must say they have definitely exceeded my expectations, from the quality of products and tools they created to the high level of professionalism they performed in the span of the course. There might have been some takeaways during the beginning of the course tenure due to their transition to a new location, however, I felt that they have handled this with the best of their ability. I would also like to give a special mention to Jess for being such a supportive instructor through and after the course. To the whole AWMA team, THANK YOU for making my journey towards becoming a Professional MUA an experience to treasure. ❤️????

I have had my makeup done by their artists and felt like a movie star! I love the AWO3 line so much, my sensitive skin did not react at all.I highly reccomend Artists within

I recently graduated from Artists Within after taking the Makeup Diploma, Airbrushing and Advanced Makeup Diploma. I am so grateful for the everyone there, it really was the best choice! I didn't realize how much I would learn when I started. Each course went into a great deal of detail and I left feeling sure of what i needed to do as an artist but also as a business woman! I have started a great client based business that although slow during Covid I know will bounce back. I'm also so glad for the makeup kits we received with each course. I didn't need to run around getting what I needed as it was all thought out for me. Until today I haven't needed to add anything which is great as I have lots for student loans to pay off! Thanks Artists Within, I would highly recommend to anyone :))

I am a past graduate of Artists Within makeup diploma program as well the hair session styling. I came across these reviews while I was searching their new website, and I must say I am shocked by many of them. I had basic knowledge of Hair and Makeup before attending the academy and the amount of knowledge that I took away forever changed me as an artist. I gained the confidence, inspiration and skill to walk away and successfully build myself as a free lance artists. I have spend a few years living and working abroad which was a life chancing experience. This would not have been possible without my ITEC certification I recieved through Artists Within. The ITEC certification is something that you can only get attending this academy, it was clearly explained and program was taught throughly to ITEC standards so we were well prepared. Due to the fact that this is an examination from the UK we have to work within their time lines and exam schedules and that was discussed openly the first day. The kit that I recieved was shown during my initial tour as a pro starter kit.. It had all the necessary items to go out and complete jobs. Once I started working full time it obviously grew according to the types of jobs I was doing and product that was required.. This is to be expected as every person will go different avenues with their career. It was easy to build my kit receiving a 40% discount off product of life from the school. You cannot except to receive the same type of kit that working artists have, and have spent years building. I personally love this product and use it not only in my kit but on myself. It is profession grade well pigmented and bendable with all other products in the line which is amazing from a MUA stand point. We got to meet with some big names in photography and flim which you cannot put a price on.. And even got to do a professional shoot with these photographers and professions models at the end of the course. Yes you only get one photo.. and no you do not get to choose that image.. But once you start working you will realize that this is how it works in the industry. The images put in publications are not solely based on one persons work, but a collaboration and chosen by editors / art directors ect. The training and experience I receive here was worth every penny I was sad to leave. I would suggest it anyone wanting a career in the beauty / fashion industry.

I attended Artists Within in May 2016 for the Makeup Diploma with International Certification. After extensive research, I chose to attend Artist Within as it offers the most comprehensive makeup education in Alberta. The instruction is at the highest level, the class size was small enough that we received extensive personal attention, and the coursework and practical experience provided fast tracked my abilities as a make up artist exponentially. To top it off, I secured a job with one of the best makeup brands at Canada's top luxury department store a week prior to graduating. My credentials as an makeup artist trained through Artists Within is why I secured employment so quickly and successfully. The support staff and faculty created an environment of attention and care and have continued to support my endeavour post graduation. I do not have enough good things to say about Artists Within. Very well recommended if you wish to pursue makeup as a viable career!

I finished the makeup course with AW last August, then I went back and did their airbrush makeup course in January of 2016. The course itself was well taught, but I only believe that was because of the instructor I had who was a contract worker. Since I finished in August, I have had NOTHING but HASSLE, unorganization, and nothing but different answers every time I needed something. Normally I am not one to go and write reviews on the internet, but I feel the people of Calgary need to be warned. I have talked with my own classmates as well as other past students and it seems like everyone has had some sort of frustration with this school. The kit is not worth the money you are paying for it in your tuition. Plus, on the first day you are given a long list of other things you need to buy... and if you don't have it, you will get docked marks on exams. Which, let's be real, if you're a student, chances are you can't afford to go buy another $200 on makeup and accessories, and that is going the cheap route. In the airbrush course, you are given such a cheap kit, that you can't even find information on that "brand" on the internet. I finished the course, and the day after I finished my airbrush broke. I contacted the school, and it took them a MONTH (and many emails on my part) to figure out that they weren't going to do anything for me. In between that month, I ended up not being able to give 3 clients what they were looking for (bad for my business) and then I also had to run around the city looking for a decent airbrush in a matter of a couple days because they decided to not do anything for me 3 days before I was due to do a bridal trial. I also live outside of the city, so that is missed work time and gas. When it came to the ITEC exam that they so stress about... We were told it would be 6-8 after we graduated that we were to do it. Try 6 MONTHS. Then we weren't even given 2 weeks notice to take time off work and be there. We were told we weren't able to have more than two weeks notice because they had to fly people out from England to do it and it was their schedule. Well, imagine my surprise when the owner of the school, who lives in Calgary shows up to do the exam. Apparently they don't have enough respect for their students to give them more than 10 days notice even when it is someone who could have planned that date months in advance. Talking with past students, and getting a hold of the ITEC board in England just goes to show how much this school tries to hide things from every student because they think we don't talk to each other. There would be three of us who sent the same question, and we would all get different answers. I would do your research and decide if all this hassle and more that I didn't mention is worth your time before paying the $5200+. The instructors might be fun, and might teach you a lot, but for me all the hassle and extra money I have had to pay out didn't make it worth it.

I went to this school last year because I've heard some good reviews on it. The program was 2 months, even though it said it was suppose to take 3 months. The textbook as previously said, was coiled together by the school. The makeup line is also the school's line which is a little bit overpriced. They provide you with a kit that you STILL need to buy items for. Makes me wonder what the money you pay even covers. I just feel a little bit unsatisfied. I wanted to come out of the school with brand new information, and professional skills as a makeup artist, but I could definitely learn a lot more through Youtube. There's an ITEC exam that's suppose to happen at the end of the course as well, which was postponed like 5 times and didn't happen till 7 months later. Not to mention, they will charge you 200$ to cancel the exam. Not worth the stress and headache, definitely not worth the money.

When I decided to go to makeup school, the decision to attend Artists Within Makeup Academy was an easy one. I was referred by many friends and their reputation preceded itself. From the class size, the practical experience, to the Industry Knowledge and Real-world expectations... I graduated feeling prepared, empowered and ready to continue in my personal growth and development as a Professional Makeup Artist. The faculty are amazing!!! They've been very supportive of my endeavors, both in school and as a graduate. The goals I set for myself are coming to fruition, and I cannot thank them enough!! My experience at Artists Within Makeup Academy was positive, rewarding and fun!!

So, I took all the makeup courses that this school offers and have my certification from them all. The Basic Makeup course, taught by Jess, was very good. Because they were in the middle of moving and covid being fairly new, it was crazy and stressful. It was disorganized, but that said Jess did a great job teaching! The Advanced Makeup course was an amazing experience. Its definitely more for creative people who are okay with little guidance. Shantel did a fantastic job of teaching it. The SFX Makeup Course was a lot of fun too. You learn a ton and have a lot of fun with Shantel in the course too. Now all the good being said, there is a lot still in development in this school. I had a lot of problems and fights while I was here and our class was not listened to very well. Things that caused me to not recommend this school are as follows. 1. No lunch space is provided by the school, so if you have a 930am till 430pm course, you used to be put out onto the street for an hour because they don't allow food in the academy (which makes sense) but when its -40 in the winter and all the restaurants are closed it was not a good situation. Also the staff werr able to eat in the classrooms, but the students were not. A company upstairs took pity on our class and opened their conference room for us to eat, but the school basically scolded us for having that happen. 2. In the contract it says they close and lock the door at 930am so class can start. However if you email them with a valid reason to be late they will let you in. This makes sense, however, they hadn't followed this rule they made the entire time I was here until the end of the course when they started being a little petty after people started calling them on their double standards. Several people would email and be only 5 minutes late and still be locked out until 1130am and not be caught up when they got in. They also do not respond to emails you send in regards to being late, inquiries, or problems. 3. The kits are incredibly inconsistent. What I got in my Advanced kit and my SFX kit was very different and not equal to the groups before me and yet we still paid the same price. It was incredibly frustrating for all of us when instructors would say to use a certain product and half of us didn't have it. 4.Tara, the owner and creator of the brand, can be incredibly intimidating. Now in a competitive market like cosmetics, that makes sense and I understand why she would need to be that way, however she has a tendency to act superior to the students and not in a way that makes a healthy learning environment. She is a great person, don't get me wrong, but she does seem to be more out for the money than about the actual learning. 5.If you are using student loans, beware. Several of my classmates got their loans amd the day of there were very threatening emails sent to some of them saying things like "if you don't pay the remainder of your kit fee by the next day you will not be allowed to finish your course" which is incredibly unprofessional considering that it had been less than a day since my classmates had received their money. It was VERY stressful and unnecessary. These emails were also sent during exam week and made the girls panic more than they needed too. 6. Also, if you want to do incredible looks, the products that come in the kit aren't enough, you DO need to buy extra to get full marks. Previous responses from Tara to comments made about needing to buy extra supplies have been met with disbelief, but that is likely becuase she doesnt teach the Advanced and SFX courses. If you want to only use kit materials you can finish the course, but your work will likely not meet the standards they are looking for. You will need to refill many things, such as all your disposables, all liquids like alcohols and removers, things like lipstick colours and foundation are limited in colours and anyone with very light skin or very dark skin do not have shades that work very well. That said, I wouldn't recommend this school.

I recently graduated from Artists Within part time makeup course. I have to say I loved every experience I had. Only thing I did not like was that the part time is at night, but that was my choice I just didn't like the long days of working then school. I can not wait to go back and do my hair course in January. Once I finish the hair course I already have a job lined up at a salon!

Hey It's Brittany

I started as a student at Artists Within in September 2018 and now have completed the Basic Makeup Diploma, Advanced Makeup Diploma, SFX Diploma, and the Hair diploma. All of my teachers were absolutely incredible and I feel beyond prepared to work in the industry. The kits received with each course have included everything someone needs to start out as a makeup artist with and are worth their price and include extremely high quality products that I continue to use on myself and clients everyday. Artists Within have also provided me with incredible opportunities to work on jobs for Breakfast Television, Westjet Magazine, Avenue Magazine, and many more. I am so incredibly impressed and pleased with the professionalism and education quality of the school and recommend them to anyone who would like to get into the makeup industry. Thank you Tara, Scarlett, Erica, Ashton and Shantel for every thing you all have helped me achieve.

BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE! I am forever grateful to Artists Within for allowing me to pursue my passion for fashion and makeup at the age of 38 when I didn't think it was possible! From the first day I went in for a tour, Ashton was so knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and really helped me realize this is what I was meant to do! Erin Fergurson, my incredible instructor guided me through my fashion journey! She is the best in the industry! Her encouragement, support and sharing all her tips and tricks for us to be successful showed me she truly cares about all her students! She introduced us to all the who's who in the industry. To her, I am also forever grateful! It's amazing that a school like this exists in Calgary! My new career is well on its way! I would HIGHLY recommend this school for fashion and I will be signing up for the incredible makeup course in the new year!! The makeup brand created by the owner Tara is amazing! I am addicted! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

I graduated both the hair and makeup program in January of 2018. The teachers are really there to help you succeed and push you to be your best! I’ve gained great connections through my classmates and the academy; I have worked in my field a handful of times on behalf of the academy producing opportunities with their connections. They really do take you under their wing and teach about the industry expectations, and provide scenarios with other industry experts (modelling agencies, photographers and stylists) to teach you in the field skills. I’m very happy with my experience at Artist Within Academy, the credibility that comes with being an alumni can open doors if you apply yourself and are good at your trade.

I attended the Artist within Makeup Academy for the Basic (I attended by zoom), Airbrushing, Advanced and Special FX makeup programs. My goal before starting all of these programs were to become a professional Special FX makeup artist for TV and film. All of the programs teach more than just makeup as well. You will learn about the business side, the industry you are wanting to go in to and how to properly market yourself to gain employment. You also get a lot of product in your kit for each program! I have only needed to purchase a small amount of product after the program. After completing all of these programs I felt ready to step in to the industry with full confidence in the new skills I have learned. I was taught by Tara (for basics) and Chantel (airbrushing, advanced, SPFX) both who are very knowledgeable and detailed. I learned a lot from these wonderful instructors (yes there is a lot to learn! trust me! ) and all the instructors/staff are easily approachable and eager to help you perfect your techniques (Jessica I haven't forgotten about you too!). I attended the programs during COVID which made it some what difficult due to the "lock down" for a short time. Tara and the staff did everything they could to help accommodate the students as there is no lunch room available. Tara was able to work some magic to secure us a small office room for us to eat during that time when we couldn't eat at a coffee shop or out. AW COVID protocols are of very high standards along with just basic cleanliness. Everyone including the staff was temperature checked every day followed by the signing of a COVID release form. All students + staff wore masks at all times and added a face shield and 2 meter distancing when applying makeup to another student. The new studio is big, bright and beautiful. There is a lot of space to social distance and it makes you feel like you are on the job instead of just being in a "classroom". I am happy to say that I was able to gain employment right out of school because of the skills I was able to showcase that I learned here at AW. I would highly recommend this school if you are looking for a successful career in any makeup path you are choosing to take! <3

The best beauty school ever! Jessica was my instructor for the makeup diploma course and she was amazing! She is very talented! This school has helped me so much in becoming the best makeup artist I can be and helps people in getting job opportunities. Jessica is also very inspirational and so kind! She’s truly helped me improve in my makeup skills and taught me everything I need to know about being a professional makeup artist.

I attended artists within makeup academy during the covid-19 season. Our classes were moved to online and as sad as it was not being in class with my fellow peers, learning online from Tara was the next best thing. I felt just as successful in my course online as I would have in person, Tara is a great teacher and worked very hard to put together amazing and in-depth online courses, she made sure all of us got the one on one time we needed to feel comfortable in our new skills. Wonderful school with wonderful teachers! I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Felicia Monkman

i finished sfx and it was a great course, but the attitude of the teachers and tara were not good. anytime someone had a problem or emailed them or complained they were shut down immediately. it was really distressing and hard to complete the course because of the bad attitudes. several of my classmates and i overheard the teachers talking about us all and they were quite rude and petty. I'm surr they're good people but at school they're not very kind people. It is very hard to talk to them at all, especially tara. They don't respond to emails once you're in the school and its very annoying. So unless you plan on not having any questions or problems don't go here.

Jillian Harris

I've done all the courses that they offer except lash extensions. The teachers really cares about their students and wants them to succeed! I recommend this school if you want a career in the industry! It's all very Hands-On and the teachers really push you to do your best and to get better. The classes are short and go fast but all beauty school is like that. They have online classes so you can do it at home, but to get your money’s worth do the part time or full time in person classes. There were some issues I experienced with non teacher staff and other students that tainted my experience but overall this is a good school. And I’d pick it again over some of the other schools in Calgary.

Janice Lorieau

This school is a money grab. You learn more from watching YouTube videos or buying a makeup book. Sure it is fun to do makeup, talk about it and learn some new tricks and tips but you can do that amongst your friends and in the makeup community, you don't need to pay thousands of dollars to do that. Speaking of that, the tuition is also way too expensive for landing a retail job which is the only thing that will come out of this if you're lucky. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!

Kirsten Lankester

I was a student here and I found that this school has helped me to become the person I am today. I started off doing the online academy as I was working as a nurse full time. The online academy allowed me to go at my own pace. It is very well done and I like that you can start whenever and you are given a year to complete. However I wanted to upgrade from a Certificate to a Diploma, so I made the choice of switching my work shift around and enrolled in the in school program. The only thing I have to say about this school is that when I was in class the textbook was not the best. The wording and spelling was not edited properly. Other then that the kit was great to start out with and the instructors are wonderful. I am now a fully certified Makeup Artist and I run my own mobile business! I was actually recently working at the Woman's show advertising my services, I came in and talked to Ashton the Administrator about some ideas I had. My experience at AWMA has been amazing.I have learned so much in a short amount of time. I am so happy to have chosen AWMA to be a part of my journey on becoming a successful Makeup Artist. Due to the pandemic, everyone has had to adapt to this unique change, and without a doubt, AWMA has adapted fantastic. I completed the 2 day Airbrush course and was so so pleased with the organization, and outcome! Zoom is such an easy way to communicate with groups of individuals! Learning from the comfort of my home was so special. And safe. Which I really appreciated! Thank you AWMA! xoxo- Dallyn

Fabulous!! Excellent!! I finished my course with Artists Within last month and have to say how impressed I was with both the training and after help. I can't believe how much knowledge I gained from this class. I am now apart of their student alumni page on Facebook. This has been a huge help for me as gaining contacts and work. I have done a lot of creatives with people through this page. I now own my mobile makeup company, and I have been so busy. I am so happy and excited to start my career path. I have now signed up for the next upcoming ITEC exam. I will soon be certified in 36 Countries! My dream is to work at Fashion Week in New York, and this is one step further. I am now signed up for the upcoming Hair class as well as Airbrushing and Advanced. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to follow their dreams to become a makeup artist. Thank you for the memories and I will see you girls soon.

I've been using AW03 for a few years an absolutely love all of the products. I took a class that the owner hosts and learned so much that I had no idea about - amazing. So many favourites from the skin primer - foundation/finishing powder (amen) the lip glosses - the lipsticks - brushes and pallets. Great quality and seasonal changes. Strongly recommend.

I just finished my first paid Photoshoot this weekend since graduating from Artists Within and am on such a high! It was so amazing putting everything I learned into action! I wanted to take my makeup diploma in person but because of covid ended up taking the virtual. I wasn’t sure about virtual learning but everything was really well laid out, easy to follow and still felt like being part of a class. I wasn’t sure in just 12 weeks I could go from zero to professional makeup artist but Tara was tough on us as she said she would be, making sure every line was straight and smokey eye was blended! I’m very thankful for the experience I had and feel like I’m doing what I should be! I’ll be back for Airbrushing and Advanced in June!
