Very bad customer service and management. I ended up blocking the pre-authorized payment for my membership after trying to talk with the management for over 2 months regarding them not honouring the month for free they advertise for when you refer a friend. Staff kept trying to feed me with some nonsense reasons and told me the manager and owner didn't want to talk to me. The owner is not even local. He couldn't care less, they don't even take the time to respond to any of the reviews people are writing on google. Don't waste you time and money with these guys, Canmore has too many good local family operated gyms that care about their customers.

Shifty, dishonest people. First they sent warning to all customers with false accusations. Peka style. So I canceled. Now refuse to stop billing me 2 months after the date noted on cancellation receipt even though my key won't work.

This gym is a very welcoming place even for beginners especially the friendly staff and well organized layout. The weights are in excellent condition along with the benches, machines, etc. I would recommend to anyone in the Canmore area!

LAST MONTH IT WAS 70 DOLLARS AND A CHARGE FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS NOW THEY TOOK 100, I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE, THERE ARE BETTER GYMS THESE GUYS WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL* *DO NOT GO HERE WHATEVER YOU DO, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY* I would give no stars if possible. Stealing people's money. Poor or lack of communication. You would think after covid and it being closed so much that they would contact people before they started charging the membership fee again and make sure people are still wanting to keep it. I've talked to many others with the same issue. Canceling a membership and getting charged for months after it. Here's some proof in some pictures.

Awesome gym in Canmore. Have been a member at other Anytime Fitnesses and this one takes the cake. Two levels with the upper being weights and main floor being classes, massage chair, change rooms etc. never gets overly crowded and can’t beat the price in the area. No brainer to join here if you’re in the area. ????

I canceled my membership in July as I had to move provinces and lost my job and could no longer afford to be a member. I went in and spoke with the staff and canceled my membership. It is now October and they have started to charge me again! I am not even a member anymore! I have called serval times and been nice on the phone and the staff hung up on me twice!! I would understand hanging up on me if I was rude or swearing at them but I wasn't. Truly the most UNPROFFESIONAL company! DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE! Unless you want them to steal money from you!

I agree. Since Molly left this location has been in decline. The showers need to be cleaned more often and there are always issues with the main gym area upstairs being too hot, and the music is too low with a bad station. Put on dance music at a decent level!

Club is fine. The support at Site2Gym is brutal. They are rude and will do anything to get more money from you. I was offered a month free when I joined. And they will not honor that. Brutal stay away.

AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL MEANS!!! Do your research about this place or deal with their bad business practice. After I signed up for a 7 day trial pass which is advertised on their official website, I received an email confirmation that my trial pass is ready to go. However when I called in, the manager or owner told me that they don't do the trial pass available in Canmore and I was offered to pay for membership with 10 day period to get a full refund. It was a fancy term the person on the line called it "guaranteed 10-day premium full refund..." The sales is too pushy and they don't even give importance to why I wanted to join a fitness facility. Instead, they value the monetary profit they can get from me. After thay, I went online to see reviews about the company and a significant majority has negative feedback about their establishment. It seems like it is a very uncourteous business practice. I think this business should be shut down before it destroys the healthy economy in our town. BY ALL MEANS AVOID THIS PLACE.

I was under the impression that I was paying for a 4 month student plan, but I was instead put onto the most expensive plan (6 months). Avoid at all costs, when I went in to get the free week offered on their website they said they "werent participating". Should have never signed up, but the student rate was too good to pass up. I ended up getting charged over 120$ more than I should have.

Like most anytime fitness gyms it's great to be able to go anytime. For me it's early in the morning when all other gyms are closed. The equipment is great, but my only gripe is with the cleanliness. Equipment not clean often and floors can get grubby, otherwise it would get 5stars.

We had many issues with them over the years. The last one was charging our card 2 days before they shut down for COVID then when we asked three months later ( still not open) to cancel our membership they tried to charge us and extra month on top of the month that they already charged. We got our credit card company to deal with it and got our money back. NEVER AGAIN.

The worst gym experience I have ever had. Although the gym itself is fine, the process of cancelling my membership was one of the most incredibly frustrating experiences I have ever had. I tried calling numerous times, left detailed voice messages, and emailed but had no reply. It has taken 4hrs of multiple calls and exchanges, within which I was promised a call back but was never given one, in order for me to eventually cancel my membership. Avoid Anytime Fitness at all cost; there are many other gyms you can join that will not make your life this difficult.

Do not get a membership here. The gym looks like it is high quality, but actual operations are very poor. They have provided no communication regarding their COVID operations to their members, and occasional check-in's has shown they do not enforce any mask wearing or cleanliness standards. I have been trying to cancel my membership for 6 months and they are still billing me.

Great facility for cardio and surprisingly also for weights. Proper dumbbell racks, multiple bench press stations and cables plus some instructor lead classes. Something for everyone.

Lack of cleanliness. This gym used to be good. Now it's absolutely filthy. The showers are growing mold and have deeply ingrained grime on the tiles. There is hair everywhere and overall just a lack of attendance to cleanliness. And often the bathrooms run out of toilet paper. The toilet paper rolls are huge, perhaps check them every few days? Also you need to turn up the air conditioning a bit, it gets way too hot and there's often zero air flowing. Get fans! Also..the cleaning wipes keep getting depleted and not replenished fast enough. It's bad enough that most members don't clean, having no wipes makes it...unsanitary. Wi-Fi is horribly slow and often doesn't connect. Oh and the outside Windows are so filthy you can barely see out. Come on Anytime, get this club cleaned up. We're your members not your enemy. We're also the customers, and customers are paying for and expect a decent level of service. Posting two photos of the showers. Hopefully Google approves them. Thanks

I would like to see the bathrooms cleaned more. The shower floors feel as if there is slime on them. Also a lot of members don't clean after they use a machine, an amateur move. Clean people! maybe more signs are needed. Overall I like this gym. The young girl who works in the office is very nice.

Very dirty! The showers have not been properly cleaned in months. There is no shampoo or body wash in either of the shower dispensers. Music volume is usually too low. Most patrons do not clean properly

This gym is fine as a gym. Their customer service is abysmal. I have been trying to get two simple answers from them about my membership cancellation for over a month and every time I get in touch with customer service I get half of my answer, and then they ghost me on the second half, saying they will get back to me and then never coming back with the answer. This has happened with three different customer service reps, in email, on the phone, and on the online chat. I cannot wait to never deal with them again.

I did a walk through last week with Jaz or a Jas, I was initially impressed with the upstairs area of this gym. And the lockers area is large enough to accommodate a lot of people. But when we came downstairs and looked at the bathrooms area I was not impressed. The showers looked very dirty and unkempt. There was also not much soap in the supplied dispensers. Any gym that does not place cleanliness at the forefront gets a 0 from me. I did not join this gym. Thanks

Throughout covid there was a period of time that gyms were cleared to be open and they did not open. When they finally did open in the last week of March, I was charged a FULL MONTH. Then the beginning of April I was charged again for another FULL MONTH. The gyms were only open for 2.5 weeks before they shut down again and it cost me over $100. When I went to cancel, they charged me another full month plus a $40 cancelation fee, so it cost me another $100. Would not recommend to anyone. ever.

Awesome gym! I never had to wait for anything because it’s not so busy as other gym. There are free showers, soap and towels and the manager is really helpful. It’s very clean and nobody judges you. Ask if you can take over the membership of someone else and you can save a lot of money and even get really good Month-To-Month memberships for the fraction of the regular rate.

Negatives: Cleanliness is extremely lacking. The bathrooms are often filthy. Equipment has not been professionally cleaned since it was installed. Dirty windows on the upper level. Overall this place shows extreme neglect from its owner and management. Positives: Usually not too busy. Water massage is nice.

Bathrooms running out of toilet paper, showers have not been cleaned in months, stereo system not loud enough/horrible music station, filthy exterior windows, most members don't clean after they're done at a station. New staff not friendly. How could you improve? #1, clean the bathrooms and stock toilet paper. #2, fix the stereo system. #3, clean the bathrooms...again.

While working out , I left my air pods pro case by the window in the middle of the gym , suddenly it disappeared. I asked everyone who was there and all denied seeing it , I searched every corner . The only hope I had is the four cameras installed there , when I asked the receptionist she said the area where the case was stolen at is a blind spot . It’s not convenient at all . Pls guys make sure to keep ur valuable things with u all the time .

Great place , 24 hours and easily access your new fob through drop box. I joined this one due to the fact the hours and it’s a measly 20 minute commute from banff. So worth it when they give you that openness. This gym is very clean well maintained and on top of things. Lots of space and good price. I signed up for this anytime when they offered the cheaper bi weekly price by email and a no charge for fob or activation. Also I’m not locked in on any basis , this is just a month to month deal I have obtained.

Read the reviews. Cancelled my membership last fall after they charged me for months when the gym was closed. They are still charging my card that I had to put a hold on, and now have sent my account to a collection agency. IMPOSSIBLE to talk to local manager, and the call centers that I have had over 20 calls with, are of no help at all. I have never written a Google review, but this is the worst business customer support I have ever had in my whole life. DON"T GET STUCK IN A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS COMPANY. You Will regret it!

Staying in the area for an xmas break (visiting from California). Actually one of biggest Anytime's I've been to (and I've visited a bunch all across North America and a few internationally). Lots of variety. One bummer is the town of Canmore requires paid parking in the area... not sure how hardcore they are about enforcing it ($5.25 for 24hrs, so you can hit the gym on two days with one ticket).

I love this gym, they have a small but nice range of machines, cardio, weights, cable. I have never been a huge gym person, but I've been going more since I have joined this gym. They have nice bathrooms and showers, modern. Good Playlist going and we also were using it during the pandemic when open through government approval and they did a great job with safety. Cleaner than it used to be as well.

Do not expect users to have manners or generally recognized social facility. Locker locks do not work. You will have to bring your own. Many members do not wipe equipment after use; Ladies you are the worst. Temperature in workout area is warmer than the shower area. Toilet paper in the lavatory vanishes on weekends, (pre COVID-19). Use personal mobile phones when on the equipment and speak loudly – your caller may be a long distance away. Wear bare feet, socks, toques, ball caps, bring your luggage into the work out area and bring your bicycle indoors. Safety comes last. An incident of physical violence occurred in late February 2020. A man was assaulted on the premises. RCMP and EMS attended, a Sunday so no management present and RCMP had trouble contacting gym management using the posted emergency contact number. The assailant, a contractor to the fitness centre, fled. Potentially a racially motivated matter. Nothing reported in the newspapers. One accepts the kind of service one thinks one deserves. Caveat emptor.

Bait and switch. They advertise a free trial, which I signed up for online and got a receipt for to bring in. The sales person wouldn't honor it and pushed for the sale. I considered it but then saw that the prices were more than another gym with better equipment. The sales rep didn't care at all about the bait and switch and had an attitude of complete indifference.

I'd like to see the bathrooms cleaned more often. And the treadmill on the far right, or first when you go up the stairs needs a new roller bearing, it's super loud and extremely annoying. Otherwise I'm ok with this gym. The new guy isn't super friendly but whatever. And some people don't ever clean. I saw a guy use 7 machines and he didn't clean one of them. Disgusting
