Currently this firm has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite high, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the score is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Driving School is classified in the category of Golf course.
I rented the room with a jacuzzi and king bed, the jacuzzi is meant for 1 person. There were no coffee cups in my room, the coffee packages were opened I'm guessing from the previous guests. I know it's their busy season, so that's not that big of a deal. It would be nice if their menu had a few more selections, however the food is good :-) Echo is usually the entertainment playing when we are there, they are really great and add to the experience. Views are beautiful and staff is incredible! I definitely have a good time when I'm there :-)
It's a shame they have left the tennis courts become unplayable . Golf course in better shape than years past
Awesome place, great time with family and friends.
Love Dundee resort, beautiful golf course with amazing food and always very accommodating
Lovely mothers day brunch! The food was delicious and there was a large variety in this buffet style dining. The staff were extremely accommodating. The atmosphere was casual and the atmosphere was festive.
Our family had a great time at Dundee. The golf course was beautiful. The boathouse had an abundance of kids activities including kayaking, standup paddle board, and private golf lessons for kids. Staff were friendly and well-trained. A perfect retreat for families with young kids.
This course has very nice views of the Bras D'or lakes but is insanely steep. It's on the side of a mountain. I like to walk when golfing so it doesn't lend well to that style of play. Fun to play though worth checking out.
Stayed at a one bedroom cottage, it hasn't been updated in about 10 years but was still very cozy. The restaurant was average. I'd recommend more of the bar food, the pasta was hardly seasoned and salmon was bland. The staff made it wonderful, they were so helpful and welcoming!
Go too wing night. Sauce selection is limited to 5-6 types max but what ones they have are excellent!
Good spot to crush some beers with the boys oh and play golf
Nice place to play golf and have marriage parties.
We stayed at Dundee Cottages for the weekend with a group of friends. The cottages were close together which made it easy to socialize with other adults without losing sight of the kids. This would be a perfect getaway if the cottages were updated. The mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable felt like they were quite old. Similarly the furnishing were outdated. The kitchen amenities were also lacking in the one-bedroom cottage. The coffee maker was small and best suited for a single person, we had no cook top to prepare breakfasts (limited to a microwave), the dishwear was mismatched and limited (drinking glasses were small, not sufficient size for beer or mixed drinks). There was also a large amount of water under our cottage (and others). The location has a lot of potential with spectacular views of the lake, activities and ability to be close to other groups.
Beautiful views . Incredibly difficult golf course, very adequate accommodations and good food. Nice local beer selection, friendly staff. The value of a 2 rounds with overnight and breakfast was is unmatched. You wont find golf of this quality for this price anywhere. Dundee is a gem . Go there. Golf ,eat drink. Enjoy the world class vistas. You won't be disappointed.
Awesome location awesome golf course and awesome value . It has been updated recently and beats any other resort in the area when it comes to the complete package. All inclusive package is a steal . Will be returning next summer.
The stars given are mostly for the staff and the great location of the hotel. I am not a golfer so I cannot review the golf course. I am though traveling a lot all over the world so I will review the hotel. Renovating is a must. At least the room that I was given. A bit of a musty smell in it, very dirty windows and noisy bathroom!! It's pricey for the amenities and the room quality. The size of the room was okay and there was a nice office desk and chair to do some work. The bed was acceptable but that's about it. But as I said, the staff was very polite and accommodating and the sunset at the beach in front of the hotel was perfect. The rest is good for three stars.
Great area. Find the forget me not gift shop. Hidden gem by local artists. Best price for a new quilt.
Well maintained golf course. Newly renovated cabin.
New ownership ...they skimp on everything. We have been here before and it was very good. This time the food went from restaurant guality to less than diner quality....they never had any seafood...or steaks as advertised. The golf course greens had heavy sand and unputtable for 3 days that we were here....not worth playing. Totally disappointed....the only plus for this place was the local staff are friendly and work hard....but were under staffed. If I was rating management it would get a zero. Looking for a pleasant golf resort don't go here.
Most magical location. Amazing food and very friendly staff. I wish next time I can plan a week long family vacation there is just so much to do here.
A group of us have been going to Dundee for 7 years and this year was by far the best overall experience we've had. The course was in amazing shape and Sarah and her team were very organized and efficient with high-quality food and great service. I would recommend anyone going for a golf weekend as the value is also exceptional
Nancy Lowe - I made reservation, had confirmation number ( on my e-mail) when I arrived for two queen size beds. My sister and I and our Husbands came to visit from Dartmouth Nova Scotia for a family reunion. When I arrived, I was told there was no reservation. I got my confirmation e-mail out.The Lady at the front desk. I'm sorry I only have one king size bed left. ( I was told take it or leave it) My confirmation price was $ 219.00 with 2 queen size beds. I was told one king size for 4 people at the price of $219.00 plus taxes( take it or leave it). I left and drove 4 hours back home. SO DISAPPOINTING (NOT RELIABLE)
A great golf course with a beautiful view and the night sky has more stars than I've ever seen before. There are also lots of other things to do with the family such as paddle boating or kayaking to an island with a hidden treasure to spending time at the pool or hiking through the trails up the hills.
Stayed at Dundee Lodge October 10th and 11th,2021. Very nice setting with great views. The Room was clean with good bedding. Furnishings and bathroom fixtures are dated. Window in our room had not been cleaned in a number of seasons; covered in spider webs, droppings and dead insects. Dining room staff were friendly. Golf course has great panoramic views of West Bay. It was fun to play but required TLC to be brought back to it's glory days.
Very slow getting our meal. Service staff were good. Waited over 1 hour and 20 min for our meal. When it came we asked 3 times no garnish on steak due to allergy and there was garnish. Sent it back waited another 20 min. Taste was ok.
Great service, fun and maintained course. Nice rooms, and good food. Got liquid drunk for 24 hours straight good times
Nice view from the rooms and very lovely staff ???? but rooms are old and not comfortable at all
Tranquil and serene. Beautiful scenery. Great service.
Great challenging course for novice to intermediate golfers. Amazing views going up and down the hill, kart recommended. Course needs a bit of maintenance work. Food and service at the clubhouse and inn was fantastic over our whole weekend stay. The cottage did the trick but are a bit rundown. I would certainly go here again for the experience.
Staff extremely pleasant and freindly. We had a great weekend. One and only complaint would be the lack of air conditioning in the cottages. Install heat pumps and you and your guests would benefit greatly.
Run down, poor quality food, dishonest staff I could go on i just wouldnt stay here again or recommend
We had a fantastic trip. The cabins could use a bit of updating, but otherwise everything was really nice. The staff were very accommodating for our family reunion (nearly 40 people), plus they have a reunion discount which is great.
Spent the night at Dundee Resort on Saturday, Aug. 1 to attend a wedding. I can't speak to golfing conditions. The wedding was fabulous despite Covid and the meal was delicious. So many windows in this resort that over look some pretty impressive views. Beautiful area. The accommodations were not even close to being worth the $186 plus taxes that we paid for two queen beds in the hotel. Upon arrival, staff did not offer any info. We had to ask where our room was located, breakfast times (pricey!!! our waitress was wonderful), directions to wedding room, wifi, vending machine (drinks only), ice machine. We arrived on about day 7 or more of a heat wave in NS. The ac had not been turned on for us. The temperature in the room according to the thermostat was 29 c. When we turned it on it sputtered to life but did very little to reduce the temperature. When we got up Sunday morning it was finally down to 21. This is a very dated building. Everything is old. Don't get me started on the pillows. The phone didn't work and had visible dust on it. Really?? During a pandemic?? The sink was plugged. There was no sign on the entrance door of the hotel asking guests to wear masks although a mandatory mask order was in place. When an establishment has "resort" in the name I expect much better!
Beautiful spot. Breathtaking
Amazing location, amazing people. Room was incredible. Will return. Only two concerns - lack of channels on the TV for the evening and the price of breakfast/quality was disappointing.
Course has seen better days... But on the bright side you get a cart included in your green fees which you'll need it if you are playing 18 holes. Very fun course but is also challenging. I play there quiet often.
One of the more disappointing stays I have ever had. We selected two side by side cabins for our family. The cabins were small, poorly laid out, with very unsatisfactory mattress necessitating my wife sleeping on the couch. There is no cell service at this location and the Wi-Fi in the cabins is unusable. The only connectivity is in the lodge. The plumbing in both cabins broke down on the first day of our stay requiring that we use the bathroom in an adjacent cabin during the pouring rain overnight. The food at the adjacent golf clubhouse was fairly good but expensive. The prices we paid for this accommodation were at the high end and yet the stay was at the very low end. I asked to speak with management on the day of checkout and was advised that management would not be in until later in the day. I left my phone number and never received a call. This accommodation was overpriced and very disappointing. I would never stay there again.
Beautiful location, the cabin's need alot of work!! Would love to go back and see it at its full potential.
I am coming back for sure, Thank you team Dundee. It's been a great experience with all the warmth and professional care.
Great service, food and atmosphere.
Dundee Resort is an excellent hotel after summer season when its a full resort setting. The rooms are fine, pool was available and they still put on "wings night" with a live performance by a local artist. It's a nice place to stay, not luxurious, but the recent renovations and investment are easy to see in the main lodge.
Cottages are very run down. No AC, very stuffy. Good activities for families though with indoor and outdoor pool, outdoor movie night.
Our group of friends stayed and golfed in June 2021 The course was in amazing shape and there are spectacular views .The food was incredible Lunch club house sandwich yum steak at supper was perfect. Great job chef The staff at Dundee make your stay special they are over the top helpful friendly and make you smile .Sara the food /beverage lead couldn’t do enough for us very professional thank you Candace was full of energy and perfect to deal with so friendly thx. Rebecca and Nick were great servers always laughing making it a stress free atmosphere that was great,Dundee is a great spot for golf and friends but the staff make it so much better Great job guys Thank you Mike Ian Darren Phil
Beautiful resort and wonderful service. Stayed in one of your cottages.
Furniture and fixtures are dated and the TVs are to small to enjoy sports games. The bar is just a section of the dining room and gets quite loud so don't expect a quite romantic meal unless you can sit on the patio. Some of the rooms in the main hotel are quite musty. That being said, the scenery is quite beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Price for room quality was not great so try to take advantage of any inclusive offers. The food in the restaurant was quite delicious and the catering service was outstanding. This location is best suited for group activities and tournaments.
The course is a hidden gem that is in wonderful shape. The views are magnificent and unmatched by any golf course that I have played. Every hole is unique and has a plaque detailing the best approach and strategies to play the hole successfully. This course is a must play for any avid golfer.
I didn't stay at Dundee Resort, but my family and I were across the road, where we can rent kayaks, canoes or the peddle boats and life jackets. Very friendly and reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back.
Beautiful scenery, comfortable cabins with all the amenities. The green is meticulously cared for. Best enjoyed with lots of friends. Nothing like a good BBQ at the end of a day of golf. I like the cabins at the top of the hill for the better view of the lake. Sunset is the best.
Great place to stay, play and eat!
The course is in good shape, the restaurant has full service indoors and patio. Enjoy my visit will go back for few more rounds this year.
When: Labour Day Weekend 2021 Accommodation: Shared Cottages General overview is that the place seems kind of run down for a resort. After the first day my conclusion was that this is years and years of neglect. There was obvious effort in exterior painting and new roofs, but to be blunt it is like lipstick on a pig type situation. Pros - great view, food ok, staff was fantastic, golf literally next door, water activities across street on the beach (too cold during our stay), fire pits available, cottages cleanish. Outdoor pools looked ok, indoor pool area ok, sauna and hot tub out of order. On-site laundry and bathroom near the outdoor pool area / cottages seemed to be newer. Cons - Cottages are old, musty, and way out of date. In need of major Reno’s. I guess it depends on what you expect for $244 a night. We were expecting more. - No daily house keeping to the cottages. Must request. Once requests were made they were good about it. May be a function of short staff due to the Covid effect. - Tennis Courts are not useable. Funny to see that one net was in place because the court would not be playable. I should have taken pictures to provide perspective. - Golf Course was $110 per round with cart. After playing 2 rounds I would say they shouldn’t charge any more than $80 per round with cart. Not a fantastic course, but not bad. A lot of the golf carts have seen better days. - Children’s play ground needs replacement items and new equipment. Not great at all. - Dining room has old stained carpet. Each time we dined in, the carpet had plenty of food/crumbs from previous diners, which was not a welcome element. Two sittings we had either dirty glasses or utensils. To be a little picky, overhead lighting was of different temperatures i.e. yellow versus white. Just gives a feel that the place has no money to do the simplest of things. - Couple of staff members (one management, one waitress) really didn’t respect the mask requirement. That was unexpected. - while two fire pits are available, it would be nice to have more instead of having to share in bigger groups. - Our cottage (#7) had a surge protector bar laying across the counter RIGHT next to the sink. Seemed dangerous. Didn’t unplug it because fridge was plugged into it. Made sure to be careful. Our companions who had two other cottages had to use plug-ins over by the couch or tv to use toasters and coffee machine due to lack of plugs in their kitchens. - random hairs in the bed sheets of all 3 beds. We assumed this came from the laundry process, but it doesn’t give a great feeling. Same with hairs on the wall of bathroom which probably stuck on during house cleaning. We were three families that visited the resort as a weekend getaway. Neither family will be visiting this resort again.
Great location..country setting..accommodation and golf was great
The cottages outside are tiny , waking up multiple times in night . The restaurant has like 5 meals , suprised very yummy . Wifi was in cottage 34
Went last month with family, and couldn’t have had a better time. Everything I needed for a great weekend was already at the resort! Amazing golf course with a stunning view, great food, and a nice and clean ambiance inside and out of the hotel! Definitely will come again
Stay and play golf course is awesome ???? Cabin are dated but clean and have everything you need. Price is very good. Food for supper and breakfast were above average.
The food here is just amazing I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed. :-)
It was a fun weekend with friends, however, having my own rentals I understand how adding a few extras to a rental cabin can make a HUGE difference in your guests experience. And these cabins are in need of a few dozen things that would make huge improvements. I think the resort have enormous potential but at the moment it doesn’t feel like anyone has a clue what they are doing unfortunately.
We stayed two nights at the hotel while attending a wedding. At first we were reserved to stay at the cottages that is managed by the resort. The cottages defiantly had a rustic camp feeling and was extremely hot due to the current heat wave and humidity. We were able to switch to a room in the hotel/resort. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was beyond reproach - this includes the staff that assisted with the wedding. I would recommend anyone to consider and shortlist this resort for a 'domestic' Canadian destination wedding. My only suggestion is to add mini fridges to the hotel rooms.
We stayed at the Cabot cottage which has been renovated and is nicer than the others. Great weather and lots to do. Clean large swimming pools, free canoe/kayaking on the Bras d'Or, hiking... The resort is probably a great golf destination. I know nothing of golf but the course looked good. New ownership is renovating the lodge and maki g the resort an attractive option.
Dirty rooms , no air conditioning, we had water dripping off us, safety hazard with electrical extension cords plugging in fridge across tiny sink. No full size fridge, had to take our garbage to dumpster, kitchen table so filthy that even after we washed it was sticky and gross. Left early due to the horrible experience
Spent a mini family vacation here in August and we were very disappointed. The resort is currently undergoing Renovations but unfortunately we were not told this when booking and got stuck in an area where all day workers were surrounding us so not quite the relaxing getaway we had hoped for. When we asked to be moved it wasn't possible, the 2 front desk staff we dealt with were less than friendly or helpful. We also asked to have a manager contact us about our stay but have yet to hear from anyone. Positive note my son and husband got in a few rounds of golf so there's that. Overall would not currently recommend this place.
Amazing experience at this amazingly planned golf course. Perfect place for a good round of golf and to unwind with your friends & family. A must visit for sure.
Always a great round. Difficult, challenging course with many elevation changes. Greens are always tough and on point. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Close to home.
Spent a quiet night at Dundee Resort & Golf Club, Nova Scotia. Room is comfortable, furnished with fridge, coffee/tea maker. Plenty of Fresh Air ! Great Sunset view! Friendly Services.
Forgot how nice the views were here. Food was not the best however.
Lovely staff. Beautiful view. Being completely updated. Comfortable, quiet, and clean cottages.
We stayed in the dated cabins. Hot as hell during the day due to no air conditioning, but did cool down at night if you had all the windows open and the 1 fan on non-stop. The food was poor at all available restaurants. We were here for an event and the plate provided for the money charged was underwhelming. The burger we ordered from the clubhouse was not cooked and we had to return to get a refund. The wait staff was amazing however. They did need more employees working though. The facilities around the resort were good and offered enough for our family to keep busy the time we were here.
Course was in great condition for the start of the season. Food in the clubhouse was fantastic.
My wife and I went for wings on Wednesday twice this season the first time we went the music was so loud we could hear the waitress. The 2nd and our last time we didn't get a pound of wings and the prices are gone up. I like beer in a bottle and the last time it came prepoured in a glass that's not except able. As far as I know it was from the tap. It's sad we truly use to enjoy wing night.
Wonderful people who go the extra mile. Highly recommended.
The food was fantastic , the staff was great, they need to get new mattress for the cottages but other than that they were ok. The golf course was in good shape other than the greens. They really need to cut them tighter and roll them, slowest greens I have ever putted on . The view as usual was spectacular . We had a fun few days with friends during covid times, something we all need.
I would recommend this motel for both business or pleasure trips
Too far out of the way , we didn't stay there .
Best place for Good lovers Surrounded with greenery and best ambience to take a nice small place Ample space for family and couples to have a good time Do check it out.
The resort and golf course are gorgeous. That's where the good words I have end. There "resort" is extremely poorly managed. We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages. There is no cell service or wifi. Our toilet stopped working on the first day and we weren't moved and when asked if it would be fixed, the response we got was "oh it's just because of poor water pressure" as if we we're to take that information as a solution. The resorts "restaurant" heated up packaged frozen chicken and called it a $20 meal with awful service. We wen't once and decided to make our own meals after. The food was so bad that it wasn't worth it to go for the free breakfast included with our stay. None of the staff was helpful or interested in making your stay better. The golf course is nice and well kept. Unfortunately it is also very poorly managed. We had other people teeing off at our tee time both rounds we played. We spent the entire round waiting at each tee and eventually it got to the point that we were waiting with the people behind us and the people behind them. The course marshal drove by and reassuringly stated "that's the way she goes some times" and did nothing to fix the problem. I would go and play another round at the golf course but will not be staying at the resort ever again.
Great place... loved the whole experience... fabulous staff and management... will be back soon...
The restaurant was very spacious, and atmosphere was great. Great service and the food was delicious and very well portioned.
Nice older cottages. Great indoor and outdoor pools , beach with canoes and kayaks, and nice views from the golf course. Cottages have bbqs, kitchens and patios so we didn't use the restaurant. Self serve stocked fire pits were great after dark.
We have a yearly golf trip with co-workers to this resort. We currently have between 11-17 people who want to stay and play for the night. (On a Monday night at that) we requested cabins as we did not want to disturb any guests. The front desk turned us away as now they want anyone who stays in the cabins to stay at least two nights.
We stayed for the stay and play package which was great deal. The room was fine. The golf course had lovely views, the greens were recently sanded and aerated which did make them a bit tricky. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the food, we ate in the clubhouse and the service was slow and the menu items we ordered weren’t available, the quality of the food was very poor. The breakfast was fine in the dining room and it was included I’d probably stay here another time but I wouldn’t eat here again.
Loved the course
The Chef in 2017 was amazing when we were there, cookbook author and all around nice guy, and made the best food we had in the Maritime provinces of Canada. Would give 5 stars, but very dated rooms, and chef is no longer there. The guy from Slovakia was hilarious and a great guy as well!
While the cabins are dated they are very clean. The Golf Course was in the pretty good shape despite all the bad weather. The staff are very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. It is a wonderful property.
Went over for wing night. The wings were awesome! Had the whiskey glazed, and sweet and smoky and the saracha ones. All were awesome but the whiskey glazed ones were my favourite. Had sweet potato fries and mozza sticks too. They were great as well. It was very busy so I'd recommend arriving at the start of wing night (6 pm) or being prepared to wait, it's a very popular event.
Great place to stay and the staff are very friendly and happy to help. Rooms are very spacious and nice and clean. The food was excellent and you had a fantastic view from the restaurant
Very nice place, right by Bras D'Or Lake. The amenities are probably the best you'll find in the West Bay area, and the staff has been considerate. We did have an issue with our room, we had reserved a suite, however when we arrived they said they had no record of it and said none were available. The room they gave us instead was able to accommodate our group though. The paid breakfast in the included dining room was quite good, much better than in past memory. This is not a formal or high end spot on the grand scale, but if that's not what you want you'll likely have a good time at Dundee.
We booked the All Inclusive golf package. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage, which was sparse, at best. A loveseat hide-a-bed and a side table with two uncomfortable hard chairs, substituting for a kitchen table and a 3/4 size bed. While wifi is available in the main hotel, it is not available at the cottages. Due to Covid, there were no amenities, no coffee maker and no housekeeping for the duration of the stay. We were only there for two nights, so not a great hardship. The staff tried hard to make guests feel welcome. My main issue was the food. It was just short of awful for the most part. Included in our package were two breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners. Our lunch at the Clubhouse was decent, but the meals served in the resort dining room were sub par at best. Options for golfers were either "deep fried" or overcooked. The Clubhouse offered things like lasagna and broccoli Alfredo but those weren't offered at the resort dining room and we were not offered inclusive dinner at the Clubhouse. The chowder was much like wading through glue and tasted like uncooked flour. I had salmon and it was so overcooked, it developed a sawdust texture. The sides that came with it were two large slotted spoon scoops of canned mixed vegetables and two scoops of instant potatoes. None of it was very hot or had much taste. Breakfast was hit and miss. Eggs benny was ok, except the ham was "fake" toupee ham. The omelette was horrible. Basically it was scrambled egg, cooked on a flat top, layered with fake ham and about a pound of cheese, glided over and slapped on a plate. The cheese was so thick it wouldn't melt. They print out a receipt for you to sign. $63 for a steak and a salmon dinner with instant and canned sides. Drinks, appetizers and desserts not included. Laughable. What this resort lacks in accommodation and food, is made up on the golf course. It is challenging, scenic and made up for the rest. Would we go back? We might, but we would not be in a hurry, given there are hundreds of courses with restaurants serving edible food.
Spent the weekend here for a wedding and it was great. Food was great and the staff went above and beyond to make entire weekend memorable. Free water sport rentals was a big plus.
Great for family's and golf. Cabins were clean but could use air conditioning, the hotel rooms on the main lodge were beautiful. Indoor pool zone could use updating. Overall three families together had a great time.
