Red Deer Driving School managed to fit me into their schedule despite my last-minute notice. Guri (the instructor) taught me in a calm and friendly manner. I asked him if he thought I needed a second lesson and he expressed his confidence in me by saying that I didn't need another lesson. He reassured me that he's confident I'll pass. I feel other instructors might have taken advantage of my highly obvious lack of confidence and could have easily suggested I take another lesson for profit. Guri was honest and didn't do this! Regardless, I booked a second lesson for my own peace of mind. He was open to me using my own vehicle and meeting at different locations which was helpful! I have no problem recommending siblings, friends and other family to take their lesson with Red Deer Driving School. Look no further and take your lesson with Guri! Very eager and supportive towards getting you on the road regardless of prior driving experience. As someone who had never driven prior, I had always been pretty nervous about getting on the road. My teacher was super patient with me and had us go at a pace that wasn't overwhelming but instead constantly preparing me for the next lesson. Teacher had a strong focus on building correct driving habits and identifying the many bad ones your bound to face as a beginner driver. when it came to scheduling, it was nice to see that if a slot had opened up my teacher would ask if I was available, going above and beyond to guarantee my lessons worked with my availability. I always suggest this driving school for anyone wanting an affordable and effective drivers training I now have my license, all thanks to my teacher helping me all the way to the end Thank you so much to my teacher, I wish you well have a good one

Guri was very calm, knowledgeable, and patient. He was encouraging and able to boost my confidence. I had a 2 hours lesson with him before taking my road test and he was able to teach me techniques that I was able to apply well during the exam. I passed the test on first attempt with only few points deduction. He also went above and beyond by offering his vehicle in case my car would not be accepted in the registry for road test because of a small crack on the windshield. Gurvinder taught me some good tips and tricks and helped get me to a place where I could complete my road test. However, there was times when he would say one thing but mean another and would get frustrated with me for not understanding. There was also times he pushed me to do things I was not comfortable with (I know getting out of your comfort zone is the only way to learn how to drive) but the actions would have made me cause accidents because I was simply not ready. He also mentioned important things right before my road test rather than advising me during my previous lessons which was confusing and overwhelming. I chose this company because I thought he would be really patient with nervous drivers, but he actually made me even MORE nervous. Not personable at all, very blunt, and didn’t seem passionate about his job. I’m forever grateful that he was able to help me get my license, I just wish it was a better experience.
