I would highly recommend this driving school especially who are looking for getting a Class 1 License. I passed the exam on my first attempt. All instructors are very helpful and have extensive amount of knowledge. So you would have no questions left in your mind in all aspects of learning. They also adjust timings according to your schedule. I want to give this school 10/10 stars, but I don't have that option.

Asked to get classes in Airdrie. The instructor kept telling my he doesn’t know the route in Airdrie and kept discouraging me during all the classes. He was a good driver but the worst instructor I ever had. He was on phone when I was learning parking, i was going to hit the front car if I would not have applied break on time and all he said was see my foot slipped from break so be more careful ????‍♀️ where you see professionalism in that?

First and foremost , a big thank you to every instructor who had shared their best effort, time and immense knowledge. I was recommended this academy by previous student who passed in first attempt and trust me, joining this School was best money every spent. Every single penny was and is worth it !! Very honest, genuine and straightforward people. I am a very critical person But I cannot even pin point any single flaw in them. Yard is huge and trucks are well maintained. I deeply appreciate the teachings and fundamentals of driving truck trailer they have imparted with me. I was deadly scared the day I joined class. Me , being a women, felt I could never pass in first attempt. My first day of air brakes , inspection, backing up and driving on road were very bad. I thought I could never do it. I used to look at guys around me who were doing so great. The only strength I had was to grasp each and everything tutors were teaching and going through again once I am home (took only 30 mins everyday). Just few months before I was naive but now I am proud to say that I am class 1 holder and passed my test in first attempt and all because of Punjab Driving Academy!!!!! Aman: Thank you so so much. Aman is the one who did listen to my concerns and sorted it out right away. She kept checking on me time to time on how I was doing and did change schedule according to my needs. Guided me when I was confused. She took every good or bad feedback seriously and have always worked on it. Prompt response on everything. She was my go to girl and big motivator!!! Sartaj sir : Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and going out of your way to clear my doubts and teaching me basics of backing up. I know I cried and was nervous but you understood my panick attacks and showed immense patience. Hats off as you didn't loose your temper at all with me inspite being so busy whole day! I will never forget what you have said on day one "Do not run behind passing your test. FOCUS on learning about truck and trailer and how it works. Run behind increasing your knowledge. Once you know this, you will automatically pass test." And I did follow that religiously. I was focused on learning things better. Bhullar sir: Thank you sir for teaching me basics of driving truck on road. You taught me about shifting with lot of patience and efforts. You knew exactly where I lacked and did made me practice again and again. Ghuman sir: I know sir I had only two classes with you but you took me on different roads and routes, (where I have never been before)to teach me how to tackle traffic, tight turns, lane change. I did learn new things with you. Thank you so much. Raman sir: Last but not least----- Biggest thank you to raman sir. Last one and half weeks he taught me. He is the reason I passed in first attempt. I was panicked so much that I forgot to re learn about inspection, coupling- uncoupling , how to actually perform in test!! He taught me patience in backing up, brushed my techniques and skills on road. Inspection, air brakes were perfect because of him. My first hour of test, examiner was impressed and my first impression worked in second hour of exam. Taught me in different truck every time so I am able to drive any kind. He taught me not to overthink, imparted patience and told me to go step by step during test which will ease my nervousness. He was never tired of teaching me same things again and again. Never made me feel stupid if I made mistakes. Always lifted my spirits up. Thank you again! Last shout out to Punjab driving academy for being friendly as well as thoroughly professional. It was very pleasant experience to have my class 1 course done there. All the class room hours went pretty smooth. Mr Pannu is pretty bang on with his explanation on all the topic. His attitude as a teacher is very good. Other awesome person in the academy is my driving instructor Mr Amandeep. A very humble guy who teaches all by his heart. If you fully pay attention and do everything he says, then they is no way you won't pass your test at first attempt. (Very important). Receptionist (Reet) she does fantastic job. I cleared my driver's test today, so here's my review about Punjab Driving School. Cars: I drove around in a Toyota Corolla, the car was always clean and also had a hand sanitizer in it. Instructor: Mr. Sarang was my assigned instructor. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He is extremely knowledgeable, polite, patient and punctual. Timings: Fairly flexible time slots available. My request for weekend only (mornings) slots was accommodated. I would surely recommend this driving school to all.

a month ago It was very pleasant experience to have my class 1 course done there. All the class room hours went pretty smooth. Mr Pannu is pretty bang on with his explanation on all the topic. His attitude as a teacher is very good. Other awesome person in the academy is my driving instructor Amarpreer. A very humble guy who teaches all by his heart. If you fully pay attention and do everything he says, then they is no way you won't pass your test at first attempt and guess what ? i did it on my first attempt. Office people are also very flexible to understand your situation for making schedule. over all it’s been a great experience with all you. I wanted to get my class 1 for some time now I didn't know where to start. One day a friend told me about Punjab Driving School. I did my airbarkes and driving lessons with them. If you pay attention in the Air Brake class you will pass the knowledge test no problems. When it came to classes I was taught not to focus on passing the test but to actually learn and apply the knowledge everytime I drove. Sartaj (instructor) was nice enough to give me an extra hour of class before my test to get some extra practice backing up. Needless to say I passed my test on the first try. Firstly, Instructor gave me class about the Air brakes and instructor is very helpful and friendly. After passing my air brake test i got classes for road test. I learnt so many things like how to drive a truck on the road, pre-trip inspection, how to couple and uncouple the trailer. I did not know about these things before. I had really bad experience in Calgary with Punjab driving school ! I came from Ontario to get class 1 licence in Calgary! I went Punjab driving school ! The owner of the school Sartaj Pannu” is very polite with me in the starting because he was making money with guys came from outside Calgary! However, when he got the money of full amount , his changed the behaviour with specially outside of province guys ! Moreover, he didn’t give me proper classes ! My five hours they wasted with guys Baltej how was instructor in yard ,who even haven’t permit for instructor! In the office , young lady was very rude ! There is no customer respect ✊! She takes advantage with people came from bc and Ontario! Her attitude too much ! She is so much aggressive! ‘Last but not least, they are taking 50 dollars extra for road test ! She said me these 50 dollars take examiner for came to here! When I asked examiner “Nitmal kalkat “he said I don’t know about this ! They are making extra money from all students! I would like to request Alberta transportation please take action at punjab driving school because they don’t give proper training whatever students need ! I would like to say that the worst place is Punjab driving school ! I request to all the guys who goes from bc and Ontario please ????????????don’t waste your money with these people !

I had really bad experience with Punjab driving school ! Punjab driving school is worst driving school in Calgary! However, I went there last month , training yard Was messed up , it was all muddy, training instructures are not well trained one of them on work permit , even haven’t permit for instructor ! moreover,and the lady in the office his name was KHUSH , she misbehaved with me and had no customer service values and did not give me proper classes and I had to leave and I wasted my money .... DO NOT GO TO PUNJAB DRIVING ACADAMY ..... they are there only to make money and do not care if the trainee got proper training or not .... humble request guys do not waste your money with these losers..!!!!

The Only good instructor is Mr Perry, He is very professional and knowledgeable person, if you want take classes ask for Perry. I saw most of the good reviews are months old and it mentioned Sertaj as good instructor .. but the fact is Sertaj is the owner and he is not instructor anymore. Don’t take any hours with the guy who thinks him self “ backup expert” !!! He thinks people can learn backup in seconds!! . When you jump with him in the truck , this guy just setts back and puts his feet on the dashboard and either play with his phone or do something else . He never gives his time and attention to you . He should teach the students the skills how to backup. I noticed that he gets angry when I do something wrong while backup!!! Like for real “ Mr expert “ are you examining me or teaching me ? Overall- I don’t recommend anyone to have any classes with this backup guy !

One of the many things I loved about the school was how they considered my flexibility and planned out my schedule accordingly. At first, I was hesitant to enroll at Punjab Driving Academy, because I'm not Indian/Punjab, but I'm glad that I still decided to go for it. They treat everyone fairly and they have excellent staff and instructors. I had Perry, and Raman as my driving instructors. They have different ways of teaching, but both are excellent in their own ways. Sartaj was the one who taught the classroom classes and also did a fantastic job. All three of them will certainly guide you to not only pass the knowledge test and road test, but to also be able to drive professionally once you start driving truck on your own. Aman, the office lady, also does great with her job. She replies quick whenever you have any concern or request. All in all, Punjab Driving Academy exceeded my expectations and certainly deserve a 5-star review.

Worst experience ever. Customer service girl has no manners. She doesn’t know, how to talk to people. Before giving the documents to customer, she will force customer to giv excellent reviews. That’s the only reason behind their excellent reviews. No offence but I will not recommend this school to anyone again. Moreover, now after posting review, they are saying that they sent me my certificate but they didn’t. I requested them multiple times to send it as they promised me during the time of payment but they totally ignored. I came 750 kms from Fort McMurray to Calgary to pick it up after 2 months in person. If they just posted that in mail, it could have saved my expenses which I suffered because of their careless and unprofessional service. Now they are trying to cover it up by replying fake statements to this review. I have written things which I have experienced but she is now saying a lot of fake things, calling the issues I faced as funny matters which clearly shows how unprofessional she is. Finally, I wanna say is plz learn some moral values as well as some guts to accept your failure. Instead of improving your mistakes, you are again blaming the customer by replying a lot of negative comments which clearly shows your true colours. Thanks

Sartaj and Aman helped me so much to achieve my goals in such little time. I travelled Hanna, Alberta to Calgary to start my journey of obtaining my Class 1. Being away from my fiancé and 4 kids I spoke to Aman about my situation and how much I needed to get through this course faster than normal. I asked them if I can do weekends as well and they were happy to help by giving me what I truly believe their best instructor, Perry! Being from a small town I did my research into other Academy's and none of which would of helped me as greatly as "Punjab Driving Academy". Perry went above and beyond helping me to obtain the key ingredients I needed to become a commercial driver. During my road test, that I passed as of yesterday, I had the "pleasure" of receiving Mr. Douqie as my examiner. It came down to my reversing, which entailed a 90° blind side and a parallel, in the snow and slippery. While I was trying to move the tractor kept on losing traction, so I decided to go at it faster. As I was doing so I remembered Perry saying to me, "turn right turn right, hard right ... now left left hard left!" LOL ... So I laughed and just hearing him in my head gave me a time to brake my bad emotions and be positive. Before my journey started for my Class 1, I prayed to my Lord Jesus and asked him to guide me to what my purpose is in this life, and to guide me on where I should go to start my path. He led me directly to Punjab Driving Academy. I am truly grateful for my Lord to send me to such an amazing Academy, full of wonderful people inside and out. I will leave you with some wisdom that my fiancé said to me, " Great things will only come to those who deserve it, and if it is given to you, keep your path true, because it can take that away from you." My experience with Punjab Driving Academy was really good. From the day 1 everything was excellent. The theory classes were really detailed and they covered everything and explained everything in detail. They were also fun.
