Lakshmi was my teacher and she was so sweet and understanding. Straightforward teaching and explains every topic before showing you how to do it. Passed my first try after the test! She was there every step of the way with me. Thank you so much Lakshmi! You were amazing!!!

Hardeep was an awesome instructor! She was very patient and really helped me work on my weaknesses while driving. She was also very understanding about certain issues that may have come up and was very accommodating. Super friendly and a great teacher! I am 100% more confident in driving than I was before beginning my lessons with her! The ONS School itself is organized and accommodating to cater to different student needs. I had Lakshmi as an instructor and she was amazing. Great communication + flexible times, and also always giving encouraging tips/conversation to make you more comfortable. Aman was a very good instructor. She was great at explaining, was calm and collected, and I also enjoyed her company. Before my lessons I didn’t know how to parallel park, downhill park, or uphill park. And even though it took me a while to learn how to perfect all three, she was patient with me, and never got angry. I didn’t ever feel stressed out when driving with her. Any new driver out there should book with Aman. She was a great instructor!

Rajesh was a top-notch instructor, building up basics over several lessons before progressively increasing the difficulty and complexity - we managed to cover pretty much every technique in the book. Said was my instructor, he was very helpful, gave me great tips, and helped me work on my confidence with driving. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted to work on, and planned out a course that helped me get more comfortable with driving all over Edmonton. I took 4 hours in lessons and because he was friendly and sociable so it was an enjoyable experience--not stressful at all. If you want to take your road test with full confidence on your decision-making and driving maneuvers, then I highly recommend this school. Sam was my instructor, and he helped me improve my driving skills tremendously. Whether it be parallel parking, uphill or downhill parking, planning, and even on your judgement, he could really help you. I passed my road test the first time; the road test that I thought at first was very difficult. But thanks to him, the road test seemed relatively easy due to the extensive preparations we made. I highly recommend this school to any newbie drivers out there.

I had a not so great experience with a different driving school before that I decided to give up trying to get my license after failing the road test twice. After 7 months of not driving, I decided to take some brush up lessons again. I’m glad that I went to ONS driving school this time. I took 3 brush up sessions with Said. He is an excellent instructor. He made me feel comfortable behind the wheels and brought my confidence back into driving. Took my road test again and I passed. I have my licence today because of Sam????????. He was very flexible as well. Pardeep Kumar did the class-room sessions, he is an awesome teacher. This is a wonderful driving school for getting on the road with confidence! I had no driving experience coming in, and Jasvir was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout the whole process. She will always try to make time for you to have a lesson, and she is so punctual. I found that the lesson/car rental fees were quite pricey (but this might be a typical rate for a driving school). In addition, the English fluency of this business is not perfect, and I was a bit overwhelmed at times by how quickly/how much Jasvir would speak. But I struggle with saying negative things, because Jasvir is an overall excellent instructor. Any student would be lucky to have her, and to sign up with this school as a whole!

Absolutely the best instructor I could ask for, she was patient when I couldn’t get it right the first time and was first calm when I made a mistake. Taught me little tricks to remember which way to turn my wheels when parking up hill and down hill with or without a curb. Taught me how to park in a parking stall and how I would do it with different cars such as a truck or SUV. Helped me find a comfortable position for my foot to be at the right consist speed so I wouldn’t go over the limit. So glad I went through ONS driving school because I learnt so many times I thought I knew but didn’t do well in addition i learnt how to approach situations where i would be in if there was no one to guide me through by myself and how to do it well. ONS Driving School is most definitely the best driving school in Edmonton! The price is extremely reasonable for the amount of knowledge that you will get out after you finish your driving lessons. Before I started driving school, I wasn't confident in my driving ability, and make poor decisions when I drove, but my bad habits got fixed in no time. My driving instructor Harish was very patient and understanding with me. He taught me how to become a defensive driver, and how to be a better driver overall. I didn't know how to parallel and uphill/downhill park, but Harish taught me in no time, and made reference points so that I could become confident in my ability to park. If you are thinking about registering for this school, I would 100% recommend it, because you will get taught so many different things that you never knew before. Thank you guys for teaching me!

Although he was a friendly teacher, I felt like Said didn't teach me what I needed to learn. The main takeaway is that I paid for 10 hours of driving, and in those 10 hours I was told to refer to YouTube to learn how to park. I learned more from a third party who ultimately helped me pass my road test. Again, nice guy but just didn't put the time in to prepare you for your test

I enrolled in ONS with zero experience and knowledge about driving but I passed- with only 20 point deduction! Massive thanks to my amazing instructor, Lucky (Lakshmi) and of course the in-class lessons I had. ONS makes sure you’re armed with information before they advise you to book in-car lessons. Now, I 100% recommend LUCKY to anyone especially beginners for the in-car lessons. She’s very knowledgeable and has an excellent way of making things simpler and easy to grasp. She’s very calm which actually helped me a lot because I was a nervous driver. I failed on my 1st road test (with a different instructor, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there are lots of good instructors in ONS but Lucky is one of the best) so then I got Lucky as my 2nd instructor and she made me confident. She taught me good driving habits plus the little things the examiners are really looking for when it comes to road test. So to anyone wanting to be a confident and safe driver, I would recommend ONS and book with LUCKY! Her name is for real! ????

My driving instructor was Dhillon and she was really calm and easy going. I got 20 hours and I passed my exam first try and has little to no experience driving. There were times i got anxiety and would cry over silly things like parking. And she just made me take a break and always had water on hand. She is great hype girl and honestly I'm not disappointed about how I was taught. The only thing I would say that made me hesitate giving 5 stars is the online course they use has mistakes. So for me learning while catching errors is really annoying and confusing at one time.

ONS is a great place to learn how to drive. I had a little bit of driving experience prior to starting the course and it was a breeze to get my class 5 drivers license. I opted for the online courses with 12 hours of driving instruction. The online courses are from another company and the driving instructors are from ONS. My driving instructor, Harish Verma, was a great driving instructor. He shared past experiences and mistakes that other students made with me. He was very patient and understanding throughout the whole time I was with him. I could tell from the beginning that he puts in a lot of effort to ensure you succeed. I would recommend ONS to anyone that is trying to prepare for their road test.

My experience with Rajesh Babunaidu was very pleasant and friendly. On the very first day, he checked my driving skills as I had driving experience from my home country. Then he pointed out how I should adjust my driving according to Alberta conditions and be safe on the road. I took 10 hours of lessons with him, and he trained me in most of the situations I will face driving here. Moreover, he mainly focused on the tasks I would face during the road test and trained me more in such situations. Especially, the way he trains parallel parking is super easy and perfect. I completed my driving classes in 2020 through ONS and my experience was ridiculously bad. I normally wouldn't write a review but I want to warn other young people before choosing ONS. While in the in class portion there were more students than desks, so some students were crammed together and some were even told to come back another day. This was upsetting as we were not made aware that this was a first come first serve class, especially since all these students were already registered. So this was very unorganised. The in class teacher was hard to understand, would contradict his material, would avoid certain material questions and get very off topic. The building is run down and the washroom are not nice. While writing our final test many students were copying from each other and the instructor wasn't seeing this as he was in the back corner office. Now on to my in car driving instructor. He was very unprofessional, rude and aggressive with his teachings. He did not go in to detail if I had questions and would tell me to watch YouTube videos at home and figure it out myself. He would also complain to me about his other students and talk to me about his personal life, which was uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend this service. I wish I would have spent a little extra and got a better experience.

My instructor Jaspreet was extremely friendly and patient and I felt very prepared going into my test (which I passed first try). On the week of my road test, our car was involved in an accident, leaving me with no car to drive -- but ONS was able to rent Jaspreet's car to me on relatively short notice which was a huge relief, as it was a car I was already familiar with. Overall, I'm very happy that I was able to take lessons with ONS, as it made me a much more confident driver. I no longer feel any anxiety on the roads, and I highly recommend them.

ONS driving school is a great place to learn from. They are easy to contact if you have questions and are helpful. My driving instructor, Said, is really knowledgeable and good at teaching. I categorically do not recommend this driving school to anyone! I only chose it because of its high rating and did not expect driving lessons to be so unpleasant for me! I was unlucky and Aman became my instructor. For three weeks, I asked the instructor to tell me which days and at what time it is convenient for her to conduct classes. She sent me a schedule, in which all classes are from the very morning: some from 8 am, some from 10 am. Aman was 20 minutes late for the first lesson, did not apologize. I thought it was difficult for her to find the address the first time, but she continued to be 15-25 minutes late for each class and only once warned that she would be half an hour late, although she was 40 minutes late. I have two jobs and I asked my superiors to come with me to a meeting and adjust my work schedule for driving lessons. But Aman didn't care, and I had to take Uber to get to work because she delayed classes and refused to give me a ride to work. Before the last lesson, she called me in the evening and urged me to postpone the lesson an hour later, because her student had booked a car for the exam on the way. I said that I could not do this because I would be late for work, but if she can drop me off near my place of work at the end of the lesson, but I agree to postpone the lesson an hour later. Otherwise, I will be very late and everything else the place of work is at a distance of 7 minutes from the place where she usually dropped me off. She refused, because, as she put it, it is not convenient for her and it is not convenient for her to pick up the next student. As a result, the last lesson lasted less than two hours, and as a result I had to take Uber again. I coordinated classes with Aman three weeks before the first class, and they lasted two weeks, but it was the evening before the last class that she learned that her car had been rented for a test. When I asked her about this option, she replied that she had everything planned until September. And at the last lesson, she began to find fault with me to every trifle and as a result said that she would not give me a document to get a discount on insurance. This fact shows how professional teacher Aman is, if in 12 hours she could not teach me anything. In the end, I spent more than if I chose another proven driving school. I shared my experience with friends and acquaintances and I am happy to report that at least 4 people decided not to apply to this driving school. Terribly outraged by the attitude towards the students, the lack of empathy, and I cannot recommend either the school or the instructor Aman!

I had to take my class 5 basic road test so I needed an instructor. They assigned me with Rajesh, He is a really good instructor if you want to learn how to be a safe and responsible driver I'd recommend him. He takes you around for a drive to see your errors and gives you a detailed explanation of what you've done wrong/right so you can fix the issues. Rajesh also is very calm so if you're a newer driver it helps as he is understanding of the mistakes, but he will emphasize how serious these mistakes will be so you can understand that it is your life behind the wheel which is a very good thing as some people will just let you make mistakes without saying anything. Overall my experience with him was great and I will be booking him again for my Class-5 GDL and brush up courses when nessacary! Thank you Rajesh!

Thanks to ONS Driving school and my instructor Prabhdeep Heer I passed my driving test from the first attempt! I really enjoyed driving with Deep, she's patient, calm and positive. After 7 years of procrastinating on getting my license, I finally passed the road test on my first try, all thanks to Inaam! She is a wonderful instructor who helped me feel calm and confident on the road, which is a big feat since I struggled with pretty bad anxiety with driving. I loved how patient, calm, and clear she was during instruction, and how she gave constructive feedback and offered improvement while still building my confidence. Very good instructor!! Make sure to get driving lessons with Harish Verma. He is very informative and a smart guy that taught me well. Ask him anything and he will know the answer. I was going into this school sceptical, my father made me go even though I have my class 5 I didn’t think I had anything to learn, I was definitely wrong. I drove with Sam Rawat, he was an amazing teacher and taught me a lot. I’m kind of sad that my lessons are now over with him, it was a pleasure. The drive isn’t pressuring or anything to be nervous about, it’s almost like you’re going on a drive with a friend that has more experience driving then you, haha. If I could recommend this for people trying to learn for the class 5 test or just as a way to improve your driving skills I definitely would.

Although he was a friendly teacher, I felt like Said didn't teach me what I needed to learn. The main takeaway is that I paid for 10 hours of driving, and in those 10 hours I was told to refer to YouTube to learn how to park. I learned more from a third party who ultimately helped me pass my road test. Again, nice guy but just didn't put the time in to prepare you for your test

Since it is a pandemic right now I thought it would be so hard to do a brush course but ONS driving school made it easy for me to book it online. Easy to go through, payment was smooth and Jasvir my instructor called the same day and asked me which days I am free. She was the best, she was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and at times funny. She made it easy for me to trust her immediately. My driving lesson with her was amazing, she made me comfortable so fast, she would let me know right away what I did wrong and what I have to work on. She would let me drive to places that the Road Test examiner might bring me. She always makes sure that I understand what she is trying to explain and would always tell me that if I have questions don't hesitate to ask. The very best part was when I did my road test, she would tell me to calm down and would cheer me on that I could do it. That's the kind of teacher everyone should have. Second, their process was seamless and fast. Preet, who is my driving instructor contacted me right after I signed up. Third, Preet was proactive in her approach with both my knowledge and my availability. She would always check with me on my schedule and would always teach me with every mistake I made. Fourth, Preet is an amazing instructor. I felt comfortable learning in my own pace which in turn made the experience enjoyable. Got my GDL in 3 WEEKS! Raj is amazing, funny, and easygoing. Not only is Raj experienced, but she will prepare you well beyond the road test and everyday driving. The practice car was a very brand new Honda SUV, so she even shows you how to park with the parking sensors while looking at the screen. I work 35 hours a week but she was very flexible with my schedule. I registered for 12 hours of driving b/c I had ZERO experience. In 2.5 weeks, after 7.5 hours of driving, she told me to schedule my road test because she was confident in my driving. We had a brush up lesson before my test, she was a very calming presence for those test nerves and let me use the car we practiced in. I only accumulated 25 points during my road test. Highly recommend Raj, her husband and this company.

Aman is the best instructor ever! I passed my road test on my first try because of her. I’ve already done 10 hours of lessons at a different school with a different instructor, but it was not effective and not enough. So I decided to apply at ONS and got Aman as my instructor. Aman is very kind and gentle. She tells me what to do and lets me do them unlike my past instructor that always shouts, panics, and do things themselves instead of letting me. Aman gave me confidence in driving that I wouldn’t have gotten by constant nagging and irritation from my past instructor. Aman recognizes what I do right and respectfully corrects my mistakes. This is an excellent driving school. Coming from having zero driving experience, Harish Verma guided me to develop the skills required to drive safely on the roads with confidence. He was always patient and lead each lesson with clear and concise explanations and helpful critiques. Every lesson was calm and comfortable, which helped me feel less nervous. Harish's remarkable knowledge in driving is evident as he was able to target the mistake, at times even before the mistake could be made, and provided instructions to avoid making them in the future. Harpal not only pointed out my mistakes and corrected them but also gave me the opportunity to realize and to correct my mistakes myself. I recently passed my road test, in first try, thanks to my instructor - Gantosh - who had enough patience to guide me through my mistake to attain success. He was calm, professional, and made the driving lesson better that what I expected. Additionally, his outgoing attitude and encouraging words makes you less nervous and helps you prepare for your road test. I booked classes with another company but unfortunately my instructor got into a very bad accident and is unable to fulfill my lessons. So I’m calling around to see where else I would be able to take driving lessons so I phoned ons. I always see their “student driving cars” around so I thought they might be a good place! The man was extremely hard to understand and wasn’t professional at all. I was trying to explain my situation but then he proceeded to say “we don’t care who you were dealing with before and what happened” then proceeded to ask for payment options… He was very rude through the whole conversation I tried to have with him and seemed to only care about how I would be paying. Needless to say I won’t be going to ons.

ONS Driving School did not leave a great impression on me. There were some lessons I felt that I didn't get the allocated 2 hour lessons either because of paperwork or my instructor was on the phone discussing non-driving related things. I also didn't feel very comfortable driving during some lessons because I was still very inexperienced and it took some time to fix specific things such as parking. With that said, there was some expectation that I should've had more experience driving prior to attending the school, and while I tried to drive as much as I could in between my lessons, I didn't think that expectation was fair since the whole point of driving school was to get better at it. I was also expected to take a 20 minute train and wait in one of the train stations for a few of my lessons since that was more convenient for my instructor. And while I understand it was for daylight purposes, it was still an inconvenient detour for my lessons. At the end of all the lessons, I still ended up passing despite not being super comfortable with driving, and it would take me a few more months of practice before I was comfortable enough to get my license. Some of it might be due to the fact that the last few lessons were clustered together, which meant I didn't get much time to practice in between, but I felt I gradually gained more practicing in my own time in comparison to the lessons, which was much more stressful given everything explained above. Overall, I had a subpar experience with ONS, and would advise going elsewhere. Do note that my instructor had given a few reminders to give a Google review once the lessons were finished, so the amount of reviews are inflated due to this strong encouragement.

My Driver’s test instructor really appreciated my parking skills (parallel parking and uphill), the credit entirely goes to her. I was not good with parking at all but her teaching techniques were amazing. She encouraged me to do better each day and supported me throughout by simplifying the things for my better understanding. Also, on the day of my driving test I got really nervous but she helped me calm my anxiety and boost my confidence by her positive affirmations. This place is so awesome. The prices are quite reasonable. $45/hr for Edmonton, $50/ hr for Sherwood Park pick up and drop off included. The driver Gurjot is calm, doesn't yell at you like your parents do when you're practicing driving, you can request a report card for after your driving lessons are done. You grow confident about driving in the city. Highway driving for me is no problem, but city needed a bit more work done, but now I feel like I can drive without people honking at me... I will highly recommend this company for anyone just starting to learn how to drive and had a break from driving just to brush up on your driving skills. I would give this a 5/5 or a 10/10!! 100%

Took 10 hours with this school and had the worst driving experience ever. The lady instructor who was with me was very rude and unprofessional. Once while we were driving she suddenly grabbed my wheel and yanked it without explanation. She would always criticise everything I did and kept telling me that I will fail the road test if I make the slightest mistake. She never even showed me how to merge lanes... And because of all this she had conditionned me to be afraid of driving which caused me to fail the road test because I was top terrified of making a mistake. Lastly, communication was a nightmare because she would never answer her phone.

In class experience was fine. But the road experience was below average. My instructor was still holding my wheel after 6 hours learning from her. I have to find different instructor from different driving school, and practice a lot from parents to pass the road test. I mean if I learn better by different people, but not my instructor in ONS, why am I paying here? 5 stars on review is too good to be true. By the way, 10 hours road class with in class course for $495 is attractive price, but finding a good school with good instructor is the main goal. Be careful that, you would not want to pay more money after you find out cheap price and perfect review school actually not 100% real, more expanse, and waste more time!

Unfortunately, my experience with ONS wasn't good. I'm a begginer driver. I couldn't book regular hours, which I feel made my instructor mad on me. Two first lessons were ok. However, the third one was so stressful. I almost hit a truck parked on the street. I was stressed, I tried to calm down, but my instructor kept saying something, which I couldn't understand.The road changed to a pretty busy road and I was still under stress. I did a bad turn and almonst landed on the traffic island. She asked me to park and I couldn't do a proper uphill parking. She started being rude, instead to help me to calm down. I couldn't drive that day anymore. I'm so dissapointed.

I registered for 14 hours hands-on training. It's been a month and I've only met my instructor ONCE. When I notified my assigned instructor of change in my availability he did not inform me his next available date and time, just "no worries" and there was no word from the instructor for 2 whole weeks. I had to call the driving school to see what I should do so I can get this over with as my time is limited due to my work and school. Now I'm waiting to hear back from the ONS Driving School. Okay so, originally I had the intention of booking and paying for all 10 hours worth of driving lessons with one of the instructors (her name was Raj). She told me that before paying all that amount of money she wants to see how my driving is. I genuinely received the BEST treatment from this school. After my first lesson my instructor told me that I didn't need the 10 hours and i genuinely appreciated it more than you'd think. Raj was able to get me in for a 2 hour session to practice before my exam because I was extremely stressed. She let me use her car for the exam while she waited for me at the registry it was the sweetest and nicest gesture. The treatment I've received has genuinely exceeded my expectations and I can't be any happier.

I will start with ‘5 star’ for my instructor Lakshmi. I took only 5 hours session for my class 5 GDL test. Not only I cleared in first attempt, I passed with zero observation. I selected my test on a day when weather was very unfriendly, -32C and roads were slippery at best, but I followed Lakshmi’s instructions throughout and got my desired result. Lakshmi’s instructions are fairly simple and easy to follow but effective. She is very professional, polite and understands the root cause of errors and makes plan to rectify those. My instructor was Sam and he was so good with teaching me the literal basics like adjusting the car mirrors and steering wheel and spent multiple hours driving with me giving feedback after feedback about how to be a better, safe, confident driver. Not only did Sam give me information about everything about driving like rules, behaviour like where and when to look for certain things, and different ways of parking, he also helped me book my road test which I inevitably passed thanks to him and also thanks to another driving instructor, Jasvir. My experience with ONS driving school was amazing. I had no experience in driving and after 14 hours on the road I passed my road test in first attempt. My instructor was Lakshmi Alluri and she was too awesome! She taught me very patiently, correcting everything she saw as a bad driving habit. She taught me the easiest way to parallel park which I got in my first try during the test. She is very kind and professional and she took a personal interest in me passing my road test, which I did! Lakshmi also got me Timmie right after my test ???? I definitely recommend this driving school and Lakshmi!

She is patient, kind and an incredibly knowledgeable instructor who helps build your confidence behind the wheel. I passed my driver's test first attempt and continue to take lessons with her to gain more experience. An added perk was I got to drive an SUV, which not many driving schools offer. This instructors basically will stay with you for the amount of hours you paid for. They don’t care if you will be able to drive on your own or not after taking their course. After 10 hours of ‘driving lessons’ I haven’t learned anything helpful in driving. I haven’t been to traffic circles, roundabouts or haven’t even trained to drive at night like they claim on their website. My brothers have been to other good but expensive driving schools like glen’s driving school. and those schools won’t let you go until they’re confident that you can drive on your own. They’ll also never take you on the highway if you have zero driving experience which can be very scary and dangerous. Those expensive schools take their time with you and make sure you are ready to drive. They don’t assist you all the time like this school. Stay away from this school if you don’t want to waste your money and go to a better and not so busy school that will take very good care of you. Especially stay away from Instructors named Sam or Fekadu.
