My husband and I emigrated from South Africa and therefore had to redo our drivers licenses. We chose Najia as our driving instructor. She is absolutely lovely and we highly recommend her. She is very patient, kind and goes far beyond what is expected of her in order to help her students pass their licenses. Even though I am an experienced driver I was very nervous to learn how to drive on the opposite side of the road etc but Najia made me feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel from the first day. Our experience with Frank's driving school was a positive and memorable experience from dealing with Lucy, who helped us book our lessons to Najia our driving instructor who assisted us in obtaining our drivers license.

After I failed my first road test I signed up for the 10 hour driving course here and had both Simon and Warren as my instructors. Both were amazing! Passed my test yesterday. Took 10 hours of lessons with Meng and it was one of the best investments I've ever made for myself! Def worth its cost, she was very nice and professional and gave me just the right amount of independence and encouragement whilst also making sure I knew each time were I went wrong and why. Had my Class 1 done at Frank Driving School. Frank is a great instructor/mentor, can't say enough how good he is, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. School has few different class 1 instructors/trainers but Frank way ahead of all of them. My work schedule is vary all the time, but school admin accomodated all my needs and found the best available slots for training. In now days when MELT program implemented you want to have best training available. I do recommend Frank's School for anyone who is looking for proper quality training for any class of vehicle.

I did my MELT Class 1 here. I passed my air brake and class 1 road exam due to the great training here. Frank was personable, patient and suggested multiple methods of shifting gear -- everyone has a different style that works best for them. Frank was positive when pointing out areas I could improve upon for next sessions, and I gained confidence and learned from that teaching style. The practice yard was large enough for learning backup maneuvers safely. The route I would drive was not overwhelming with too much traffic. Great for anyone who has not driven standard truck before. I would recommend.

This school was an excellent experience for me. I booked a two-hour intensive driving lesson on short notice, on the same day as my road test. Lucy was extremely responsive and helpful in finding an instructor to fit my schedule. In my road test preparations, it was Frank, along with Stewart, who coached me personally. As a result, I passed my road test on the first try, and I am sure that I would have failed if I had not practiced with Frank. In addition to practicing uphill and parallel parking, we also drove in residential areas in Beltline and downtown Calgary. I am not sure if it was intentional, but the route on the actual road test was almost identical. If you want to pass the road test on your first attempt, and if you need a good preparation before your road test, Frank Driving School should definitely be considered.

I took a 2hrs brush up class with Frank driving school & it was a very nice experience. I was a bit nervous even just before my exam, but this 2hrs class with Jim helped me to overcome that. Jim is a very good instructor giving easy but very useful tips for better driving. I recommend this school for new learners.

From the very beginning, my experience has been top notch. I had been enrolled in a insurance reduction class with another school and was getting the run around. I contacted Frank's driving school needing to fit in 10 hrs or lessons and a road test with only 5 days notice. Frank contacted me right away and was able to work around my schedule to fit me in. He was friendly, professional and efficient. I had Meng as an instructor. I 100% reccomend her to any new drivers. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. When I failed my road test the first try she was able to fit me in the next day to take me to take the test again and I passed with flying colours!!! I highly recommend this school. Thanks guys!

The whole process (from contacting Frank to the actual road test) was very smooth and stress less. Frank is a great teacher. Great school, lots of class options, and flexible time schedules. The staff there is very kind. It's really nice to see they offer their course in both English and Chinese, their in class instructors and some driving instructors speak fluent Chinese. I was happy to see that other students were able to get help in Chinese. I had driving instructor Fred, he was great, nice guy, with lots of driving experience and knowledge, helped me pass the exam on the first try. The one thing I had difficulty with was that for one day I had a different instructor, and I was getting conflicting information from that different instructor, which made things a bit more stressful and confusing. Other than that, if you live in this area, I would recommended it, I saw lot of good reviews, and got what I needed out of it.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of consistent information. My driving instructor Fred was good but as I’m driving I’ve discovered my training was very different from my husbands, I found mine was not as good, and even parallel parking techniques taught were wildly different. Hidden charges, inconsistent paperwork filing leading to extra charges (30$ for a email of certificate) , well my husband did not have to pay anything at all when he requested an email of his certificate . Completely out of line, as well they don’t warn you you will need to pay in class for the book, you get surprised with it when you arrive for the first day of classes . realistically is $600 you pay for the chorus should be enough to cover all fees . I was very disappointed when my and classroom instructor meeting advise what you can do if no one is there especially police to perform illegal maneuvers if you are in a rush and it’s “safe” . As a new driver it’s confusing and off course and topic to hear anything but what we should and are legally required to do in any situation. Due to the missing elements I needed to be a safe driver that I never got to learn or be taught I had to pursue even more education to be able to peruse my 5 Gdl exam . I would not recent this school at all.

Happy to have met Frank. I had always prided myself as a good driver. However, when I met this guy he pointed out some mistakes I had done. He then politely and patiently lead me in the right gear. So I'm one of those people who didn't need a car or license until covid became a thing and car pooling and such wasn't as easy. I've been planning on lessons for a few years but never pulled the trigger until now. I signed up for 5x2 hour lessons and based on the reviews, I booked with Najia. WHAT A TREAT! She is such an amazing, kind and assertive instructor. She brings a wealth of knowledge and tricks and little things on how to remember rules of the road. I was able to book the car and a driving test at a registry and passed my Class 5 GDL on my first try! I highly recommend Frank's Driving School and recommended Najia even more! My experience with Frank Driving School was excellent. I didn't have a lot of money to spend on my sons lessons, but I was able to purchase single lessons as I could afford them. I was able to book online and Frank Driving School was very flexible with the times I needed. My sons driving instructor was Rick, and he was amazing. He had an excellent attitude and made my son feel very comfortable. He was professional, calm and friendly. I would highly recommend this driving school to anyone who wants to learns how to drive.

On her first driving test, my daughter did not have a good experience with the driving examiner, the result was she failed and her confidence in her ability to pass the test was diminished. For her second test, she completed the two-hour intensive ‘Training for Road Test’ with Frank Driving School. First, the staff (especially Lucy?) were friendly, efficient and went out of their way to arrange a lesson for her. Secondly, Jim her instructor was outstanding, providing excellent, solid instruction and pointing out correct driving techniques (which her first driving school had not shown her) that ultimately allowed my daughter to re-take and pass her second test with a high degree of confidence. In retrospect, my daughter should have taken her first driving course with Frank Driving School. Given this experience I would recommend this driving school and Jim the driving instructor.

I have great experience with the driving school, highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to pass the road test. The instructor, Frank was patient, and skillful in teaching. On my first hour, he encorgued me to drive fearlessly, feel the car and road. It was very helpful in boosting my confidence. Later he taught me the “tricks” for how to tackle the parallel parking, and all the details i need to watch out for. I easily passed the road test on my first try. Again, I highly recommend the instructor, and the school. They are also very flexible and easy to approach in scheduling time for courses and road test.
