For those of you that have come to look for a reliable and unbiased review, look no further because this will tell you everything you need to know about Ellerslie Driving School. My experience with Baljinder was AMAZING. The first day she picked me up for my lesson, I had told her I was very nervous to drive because I had very little experience. Baljinder reassured me that I had nothing to fear and told me to be confident and just start driving, so that is exactly what I did. I made many mistakes my first lesson, and not once did she panic or make me feel like I could not become a good driver. She calmly explained what I did wrong and how to fix my mistakes. Not once did I feel like Baljinder was mad at me for the SIGNIFICANT mistakes I had made, she made me feel very comfortable as a new driver. 4-5 lessons later, I was so confident in my driving abilities that I felt I could take the test immediately (keep in mind, I had never been on the road before my first lesson). I was learning something new with every lesson I took. She taught me so much and I truly feel I could not have had a better instructor. She took me all around the city to make sure I was comfortable driving everywhere and not just in one area as many instructors do. Within the first try, I passed the test and obtained my licence! I went back to Ellerslie Driving School recently for the Insurance Reduction class and again, I had a great experience. The instructor answered every single question we had very thoroughly. I passed the course and got 97 on the exam! I have read previous reviews and would like to make some comments. For one, Baljinder is an independent woman who is running her own business. As an individual who cares for the business she has built, she has to answer phone calls because they might be from students who cannot make their lesson, other driving schools, employees, etc. Although, this does not mean she is always on the phone. She might quickly answer at a red light, then hang up and get back to her students. She is very generous with the amount of attention she gives her students. She will try to get to know you as an individual and a student. Secondly, you must pay for a service before receiving it. What happens if a student does three lessons with Baljinder and does not pay after? What if you take one lesson with her and assume she is not a good instructor so you don't pay her? That is her own valuable time and money lost. Overall, Ellerslie Driving School is probably the best driving school in the city. Whether you have never been on the road, or are very confident on the road, the instructors will provide you with significant skills and knowledge needed for becoming an exceptional driver. I have recommended this school to everyone and will continue to do so. Thank you Baljinder and her team!

So after finishing the drivers training about a few weeks ago, I'll say that taking lessons from this school was a pleasant surprise. The whole training comes in 2 parts: the in class lessons and on road lessons. The in class lessons are very simple in that you read through the study material that is provided in preparation for the exam which is very similar to the class 7 learners test. But what I found the most valuable was the on road lessons. Prior to enrolling, I had very little experience in driving. I think the best thing about taking lessons here is that they really teach you a lot! So much so that you will gain a lot of experience in different driving situations such as roundabouts, highways, residential areas, etc. One thing I really liked was how the instructors will answer any questions you have as well as provide you with constructive feedback and helpful advice on what you should look out for you to drive safe on the road. So I'm writing this review a bit later as I took the road test just now and passed on the first try. Without all the help and guidance that the people from Ellerslie Driving School provided me, I don't think I would be as successful on the road as I am now. Overall I enjoyed the experience but most importantly this school really helped me to be very determined and very eager to learn. Thank you so much for your time and service!

Yesterday I had two hours of driving instruction with Baljinder. She was absolutely amazing! I had no clue on how to parallel park, but it only took her a few minutes to take me through the steps, and then I was able to parallel park like a pro. Through the course of one month with this driving school, overall, i’ve had an amazing experience and they set a good and professional standard. My main driving instructor Mrs. Baljinder was amazing and she taught me all of the basic fundamentals of driving like parallel parking, uphill/downhill parking, controlling speed, etc. helping me pass my class 5 GDL with extreme confidence. In a good way, shes strict but helpful in a way that you can learn from your own mistakes. Her driving methods and tactics were helpful in my opinion and I highly highly recommend suggesting her if you’re a beginner driver. The owner of the company is really the sweetest person in the whole world. She can get really busy at times, however, she was still remained calm, professional and yet informative. Honestly I had fun and learnt a lot. I did fail my first time, however, the owner of the company re-booked a road test with a registry and passed like no tomorrow. I rarely leave bad reviews so listen to my warning. Baldeep only played on her phone, would constantly grab the wheel and jerk the car around and at one point made me let go so she could turn the car and not explain to me how to turn. She told me I was going go fail many times. She stressed me out so much that I had an anxiety attack the day of my exam. Tells you to turn when you're almost passed the turn. My first day we took a "break" and she played on her phone for 25 mins. The break on her side of the car wasnt working for the duration of my training. Would seriously not recommend to anyone.

The price is very affordable and they do not beat around the bushes and teach you useless information, they teach you what you need to know ! The instructors are very patient with you and are very knowledgeable to gear you for the road test. Mandeep was my instructor, and I loved having her as an instructor she was very kind and caring. I felt like she actually cared and wanted me to succeed in my driving, rather then just teach me how to drive and move on. She was also fun to talk to and would socialize with you and if you were nervous she would calm you down. I would hands down recommend her to everyone and anyone. The school is a great place to go and learn how to drive and they are very welcoming and treat everyone like family ! I also wanted to add, that there in school classes are decent hours, you do not have to go a couple times a week. You can just go on Saturday and Sunday, and if you missing a Saturday you can come the next. I really appreciated that as I have a full time job and have to work on the weekends most of the time.
