I recently passed my MELT class 1 license thanks to all the staff at Donovan’s Driving especially Jaspal Malhi, Aman Cheema and Harlal Gill. There are many advantages to taking the course here: I was given lots of time and instruction in all areas of truck driving and inspection and backing-up maneuvers. The explanations that were given were easy to follow, made sense, and helped me to understand why I was doing a particular thing. If I felt I was lacking in a certain area all the instructors would make sure to give me more time to develop my skills in that specific area. All instructors were patient and explained concepts clearly. I feel confident being a new truck driver hitting the work force thanks to Donovan’s Driving! I would HIGHLY recommend them.

The instructors, Aman and Harlal, were always positive and made me feel confident in my operating abilities. They pace the course out well and make sure you're 100% before moving on to a new skill. The office staff were also great by working behind the scenes to make sure the training flowed smoothly, and were very accommodating with the scheduling. Booked an airbrakes course for October 17 and received multiple reminder emails. Showed up at their office and no one was there for the 630 am start time. Finally got ahold of someone and they said that the course was the following weekend, even though all the emails said October 17. They said they do not send the emails, that Google sends them on their behalf and if they do not phone you then you are not confirmed, even if they did take your payment. Come October 24 the course was at a completely different location on the west side of Edmonton at Cameron Driver School, and the instructor was great. Bottom line- do not trust Donovan's to book you as promised. Just go elsewhere to avoid the headache. The staff at Donovans did not show any compassion for a missed day of work and they did not take any responsibility for their mismanagement.

I now feel comfortable in the truck and am ready to hit the road! Donovan's is a very professional company with great equipment and very friendly, family orientated service! I highly recommend all the instructors are professionals they make sure that you know what your doing, I never drove a big semi truck in my life and they made sure I was properly trained they go up and beyond for there students. Donovan’s driver education is a very good place to get your class 1 licensee I have learnt a lot from my instructors ( Aman sir , Harlal sir ( Lali bai) and specially from mr Jaspal sir ) a lot about how to be a good driver in future . Every one should visit this palace for getting there class 1 and 3 license. I have passed in my first road test due to my instructors they made me well prepared for my all exam for melt program and then the yard work and road test as well. I dont think any instructor would've gotten through to me better than Aman. I think learning to drive was a great time with Lal, as it was more like friends going for a drive. This is a quick shout-out to the Donovan’s Driving Education LTD personnel and the outstanding service they provide. I recently retired from a career in education and decided to return back to my driving roots of past. After researching a number of truck-driving school offered in Edmonton, Donovan’s repeatedly came up as the school of choice. I would highly recommend you contact Sukh for more information. In addition to his polite and accommodating mannerism, he’ll set you up with a schedule that best suites your need and time-frame. In my case, I was fortunate to train under Garry - his knowledge, routines, calming disposition, and highly successful training techniques come from years of working with people and understanding their individual needs. He is an exceptional trainer and one I would highly recommend anyone to learn under. I was also fortunate to ride with Donovan, a man that I would wager knows more about trucks than most trucking manufacturers. Of course, this comes by honestly as he was responsible for building the reputation of Donovan’s to the present state – again, in my humble opinion, the driving school of choice. Finally, on my last day Aman was my guide. Amazingly enough, in the short period of time together he was able to instruct a number of added ways to ensure a safe and running truck. Again, this is just one more example of the many values Donovan Trucking School provides to ensure their students are educated to the highest standards in trucking safety and preparedness. I commend each of the people I worked with and will predict your experience mirrors my own. Bravo, gentlemen!

Huge shout out to Donovans Driver Education! Super happy I choose them, everyone was very nice and professional all the way from Ekjot in the office, to Harlan my in truck instructor in the yard. Harlan was very good at boosting my confidence in myself and has no problem explaining things again if you are having trouble. Jaspreet my air brake instructor was fantastic, after the class I was able to perform the air brake practical test front to back without any issues immediately. Harlal was another man there who gave me the last bit of confidence I needed on the morning of my road test, they do a great job together and I highly recommend Donaovons Driver Education if you're looking at getting a class 1 or 3 license.

Best driving school in town, but sukhi who works in the front desk needs to do a better job ????, just kidding bro The Instructors (aman and bobby and don't remember the name of the one that gave us the air brake course) were all super nice and know their stuff, helped me so much gaining the trust I need to get on the road and take my test. Cheers to the examiner that was very nice as well.

My experience with Donovan's was very satisfying. The cost of training is affordable compared with other driving schools. The Air brake teaching here is made easy by instructors who know their job. Donovan's instructors worked as a team to give me the necessary training I needed to pass my class 1 road test in one attempt. They are always ready to help you even if you are not their assigned student. One of the great things to mention is that I was given enough time to practice and gain confidence before the test day. I was the one to ask for an early test! They made my class 1 easier than class 5 I took years ago. Great school and great instructors.
