I wanted the Instructer who should be patient, and makes the process of learning smooth and pleasant. (Mumtaz) the Instructer was very polite and great with his teaching skills. By second class with him, i was very confident and comfortable behind the steering. It was my drive test yesterday , and i passed it in first attempt ???? first thing i did is, called my teacher.

Highly recommended! Starting to drive I was extremely nervous.. My instructor (Mumtaz) got me through that in a just a couple lessons. I now have my license and i’m happy I had such a patient and knowledgeable instructor. He really focused on what I needed to do to improve my driving and helped me become more confident in my own abilities while on the road. I would definitely recommend central driving school to my friends.

In my opinion, the experience I gained from Central Driving School will always be something to remember. Faraz is an amazing teacher. He's very informative, motivational and very easy going. Also CDS offers an online module to complete the class portion of the program which is very convenient for someone who is too busy to go to the weekend classes. Heard about Central Driving School from a friend, and I was glad to be able to take lessons from them. Probably the best choice I could’ve made to save me from spending money on the drivers test twice. After 2 classes of review and going over the basics, I was ensured that I was ready for the advanced road test by my instructor Faraz Qureshi and I just got back from nailing the test. The reason I didn’t like this school I also had Faraz as a driving instructor. I felt he was unprofessional as during the driving lessons he didn’t really seem focused on the lessons, my first lesson was good the second time around, he came to pick me up late he had personal issues going on, that consumed the lessons. I also made a mistake with driving the car and he chose to lecture me about how that will damage his car and he doesn’t want to have to pay for that, I explained I understood, “ I got it” for him to still continue talking about it and wasting my time/ money. I didn’t go into details the first time because I knew it would be a lot to write and explain, you pointed out I have a lot of one star reviews, I do believe in quality costumer service.

If you are looking to pass your road test for the very first time then you must take classes from Central driving school. My instructor, Mumtaz Qureshi taught me really good driving skills, as a result i passed my road test in first trial. He encouraged me and always helped me to become a good driver. He made me understand the skills and techniques from basics. I used to make a lot of mistakes but he always guided me for like 100 times. I am really thankful to him for the rest of my life. Highly recommended!!

I heard about Central Driving school from one of my coworkers, and decided to get some in car brush up lessons to ensure I would pass my driving test. I emailed them to inquire and they responsed quickly. I was able to pay for my lessons using etransfer, which was super convenient. My teacher was Mumtaz and he was amazing. He’s super patient and went back over things with me that I was unsure of. We booked my last lesson right before my test to make sure I was ready to go. I passed my test with minimal errors. He was nice enough to stay the whole time with me until everything was done at the registry. I would highly recommend Central Driving School they are amazing!

The school: The saying “Best bang for your buck.” resonates perfectly ... With pickup and drop off flexibility it made it easy to fit training into my schedule. The online course allowed me to even further my freedom as I could move at my own pace and take the exam in the comfort of my own home. Punctuality and organization make this school stand out brightly from the lot. The instructor: Faraz is one of the most laid back people I’ve met, yet when it comes down to business his ability to communicate and instruct is top tier professionally, he ensures that you fully grasp the concept before you attempt it, his step by step methodical approach partnered with “secret techniques” ensures his students grasp all aspects of driving, and thus ensuring their success in the future. The test: Honestly I was expecting a 90 minute road test, driving all through the city, as I did consistently with the instructor but in reality it took no longer than 24 minutes, and I passed with flying colours, the registration process was very quick, the receptionist on task, and personable. The examiner was very friendly, thus making it quite easy to relax the nerves and focus the task at hand.

I had Faraz for a brush up course and he was horrible. I could tell he was a little sexist, he made me cry. He is not a patient man. All we did was hand wheel stuff waste of $100 and my time. We never left my neighborhood. He told me I wasn’t ready for my road test but jokes on him I passed on my first try. A week after my road test he called to see if I passed I told him I did and he replied with “wow she just got luck”. 10\10 would not recommend him.

Central Driving School gave me the best experience I think I could have gotten while learning how to drive. The lessons were thorough, teaching me each item properly and efficiently until I got the handle of it. Faraz, my instructor, was amazing with his teaching and understood my weak points, helping me to make them stronger by letting me learn at my own pace rather then just telling me what to do and getting it done. All in all, I felt very pleased and very satisfied with the school and the teaching, passing my road test on the first try is something I thank them for as I do not believe I could have done it on my own so quickly.

We expected our daughter would have a wonderful experience. After all the reviews are great and this place was also recommended by friends that used them a few years ago. But it was anything but wonderful. Now maybe the instructor, which everyone raves about, is struggling with something going on in his life. But he was not that person with our daughter. The first class went well and then it got weird from there. Including a strange obsession with a self created hand over hand steering technique? And the unreasonable amount of time spent parked and 'practicing' it. I've never heard anything like it and I can't find it anywhere online or in YT videos. And it would seem that there is an expectation of the instructor to score you daily on your progress, as is required by our gov't, so that the trainee has a very good idea of where they stand. And apparently the rule is if you don't score high enough then the gov't says you don't meet the minimum requirements to take the drivers test and you need further training. That didn't happen once and we didn't know about it until she started with this new driver training company. Anyway as you've likely figured out, words were said and he made it too uncomfortable for her to return. They did refund our money thankfully, without question, for the unused drive time remaining. For all that was worth. Archer's Blue Car has been a completely different experience I'm told... just sayin...

CDS successfully allowed me to obtain my class 5 driving license due to there flexibility and talented instructors Mumtaz and Faraz (who gave me very helpful last minute tips before the test allowing me to pass the first time). I recommend taking driving lessons with them as they are both experienced and knowledgeable instructors and will easily adjust to your level and confidence in driving.

I had the best experience with Central Driving School! The registration process was incredibly easy and the admin. contacted me back via phone and email quickly. I had Faraz as my instructor and he taught me everything I needed to prepare me for my road test, which I passed on my first attempt. Faraz understood what kind of learner I was and this helped me focus and grow confident in driving. I took an extra two lessons with Faraz because I had taken a break and needed to get the hang of things again. If I hadn't taken that break, I feel like the total 10 hours with Faraz would've gotten me ready for my test. (If not, 12 hours.) Faraz was also very supportive when it came to the road test. We drove to Riverbend Registry and he waited for me to complete my road test, and congratulated me on my success when I passed. He also let me use his car for the test! I would definitely recommend Central Driving School and having Faraz as an instructor! :)

I was referred to CDS through a friend and oh boy! I am glad I approached them than going anywhere else. My instructor, Mr. Mumtaz Qureshiji, is as amazing instructor as any first time driver would want. He won’t praise your right driving skills more than required and he won’t admonish for the wrongs you do. He taught me the tricks and techniques to parking, driving in lane, and having the eyesight for proper and safe driving. Being a first time driver, I was extremely cautious in my approach, but he practised enough with me, so I could drive confidently and pass my driving test in the first go. Qureshi also would pick up and drop me off as per our mutually decided convenient times. He also waited at the Registry for me while I took my test and completed the formalities as I passed the test. He took me driving at different times, on different days, in residential areas as well as downtown lanes so I could be confident in various traffic times. I confidently recommend CDS for your driving or brush up lessons. You won’t regret a cent spent!!

Best decision I ever made. Past the road test on the first try. Mumtaz is a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. I received professional and good quality lessons from Central Driving School. The instructor was dedicated and able to work with my schedule. The best thing I loved about it was that all the lessons were directly from the Alberta Drivers Guide and he used landmarks and the mirrors so I didn't have to depend solely on technology. I am now a well educated and confident driver. Thank you Mumtaz and Thank you Central Driving School. I highly recommend this school for your driving lessons regardless of how little to no experience you may have - nerves and all.

Not me but my daughter took lessons from Faraz and she had an excellent experience. This was her second attempt at driving school. Her first school did not do a great job and at they end they just said see ya and good luck. Faraz communicates with his students and their parents. He arranged for the road test and stayed with us the whole time right until the interim license was issued. Definitely recommend Central Driving School and I hope they are still around when it is my son's turn to learn to drive.

I took the insurance course online which is very helpful as well. I've been in an odd situation where I went from one instructor to another. The driver instructors I've had in the past weren't very helpful and left off with saying "you'll learn how to do 'this' and 'that' eventually" they never taught me anything whereas, Faraz taught me everything during the lessons. I had an excellent experience with CDS. My brother and I both had Faraz for our lessons both together and separate. CDS was beyond accomidating, if I was at work or on the other side of the city Faraz would pick me up for our lessons from my location. Faraz was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly personable. He never cut off time early, scheduled the driving tests for us, and was very easy to schedule with. If you ever needed him, you could shoot him a text or call and always get a responce no matter the hour! I highly reccomend CDS! I was an extremely anxious driver and now I feel way better with all the techniques I aquired. The online school was extremely simple and convenient, way better than going to an evening class. I really enjoyed driving with Faraz. He was patient and persistent with his teaching. He taught me proper technique instead of just making me drive around aimlessly like I had at other driving schools. The lessons were great and I would recommend him to anybody. However, I would like to point out that he was frequently late to pick me up and to bring me back home. Sometimes I would wait up to 30 minutes past my lesson time. He usually made up for this time in the end but if punctuality is important to you, I would advise you to be cautious booking here.

Not worth. Dont even tell the basic rules and focus on them to pass the test for new immigrants. Being an immigrant i joined his classes. for most of time he focused on handling steering which i was doing from last ten years and change my habits which is absurd. He should make people practice in challenging situation rather than these kind of things. Once he was sleeping in car while instructing. Worthless

Unlike other driving schools, this school has a personal touch. They are not here to make money, they are here to train you and solve all the problems that you might face while gaining operator licence. I had some confusions, but they turned all in my favor. I had a call with Faraz for 20 minutes and I was convinced that this school is perfect for me. My instructor was Mumtaz, who had more than a decade of experience in this field, who taught me all driving scenarios. He even took me to busy downtown roads to make sure I know all rules. I got my certificate without any delay and he personally took care of road test appointment. I cleared test in first go. If you get a chance, try getting coaching under Mumtaz Qureshi, he will personally ensure that you become expert and will stretch his work-life schedule to match you requirements. Every penny spent on training in this school is an investment!

Central Driving School was by far one of the cheaper options for a driving school but that does not mean that it's teaching standards were anything less than spectacular. After reading many negative reviews from other driving schools I'm glad that I choose Central Driving School. Faraz was an amazing instructor, he was patient and funny and he made you feel comfortable driving. He knew what he was doing and his instructions led to me passing on my first attempt. Almost was hit by one of their cars tonight with one driver in a company white corolla. Driver cut me off on Rowland road with no signal after realizing he Couldnt drive through the Right turning lane and almost hit me before the bridge. I was behind vehicle the whole time from 95st where it is a single lane up to the turning lane. So there's no way he can say he didn't know I was there. If this is a reflection of how they teach people to operate I wouldn't go near this place after seeing that reckless display of operating a vehicle in traffic.

I took a 11 driving lessons from a other driving school and i failed my road test 2 times But then, i came to know about CDS Driving school from my friend. And i took 4 brush up lessons from Mumtaz Uncle. He is such a great person, teacher and instructor. He won't only focus on you to pass your road test. But he always focus on you to become a Good driver. I have learned lots of other things about driving that i didn't even aware after taking 11 lessons I passed my road test today. About fifteen years ago, I gave up on learning to drive due to a disrespectful and impatient driving instructor. Also, in my second lesson, I almost got into an accident and built a fear of driving. Every time I would think of driving it would give me anxiety. I managed to find alternates in my life to commute without driving. In 2014, I decided to give it another try but I wasn’t able to do it as the instructor raised his voice when I made a mistake. I stopped the car on the side of the road and left. My family pushed me again to give it a try one more time with a different instructor. I started taking lessons with another instructor but he aimed at passing the road test not becoming a good driver. I was very disappointed after dealing with several instructors and not getting anywhere. Finally, I called Faraz from Central Driving School, I explained my situation to him and also mentioned that I have a fear of driving. Through the 10 hours’ drivers training he built my confidence of driving and developed driving skills in me. He has excellent customer service skills, he is a very patient instructor, when you make mistake he tries to correct you in a very respectful manner. He explains driving rules in detail because he wants you to be a confident driver. I passed my test on the first attempt, which even surprised me :). Wow, I can't stress enough how amazing my experience with Central Driving School was. I went to a different driving school before in millwoods, and I was taught by an East Indian instructor who had a very thick accent and was difficult to understand. I felt that he really held me back and in the 10 hours I spent on the road, I didn't learn very much. A friend of mine mentioned Central Driving School to me, so I decided to roll the dice again. For the classroom I was given the option to do it online, which made things a LOT easier for me. I didn't have to sacrifice my weekend for the classroom and I was able to do it on my own time. The driving lessons were excellent this time around. I took another 10 hours and this time my instructor really pushed me to my limits. He was easy to understand and clear in communication. He provided some really thought provoking conversations on driving and safety that really made me appreciate the dangers with driving and how to stay safe. He took me on high speeds on freeways and highways, heavy traffic for both cars and pedestrians in downtown and whyte ave, and made parallel parking soooo easy (I got it right on my first try on my road test!). Above all, my instructor was very patient with me. Even when I made mistakes, he didn't yell or get upset, but instead helped me understand what I had done wrong and how to ensure that it didn't happen again. I had a lot of fun during the lessons too, it's too bad that they had to end. I highly recommend them to everyone that needs lessons!
