I had a great experience with 121 Driving School! My instructor was calm and patient, which made the experience even better. I had driven quite a bit before starting my lessons, but it had been a few years since I had driven. Everything came back to me and my instructor was so helpful. Learning to parallel park was super easy with the method that they use. So glad I took my lessons with them, and I am happy to say that after all five lessons, I got my licence. I highly recommend them!

I went through the review about this driving school and saw lots of good review regarding the instructors, so called to book the driving lesson. The guy who was in the reception was the most rude person i have ever talked with. That nasal sounded guy even does not know how to talk to customers. I don't know how people hire and tolerate such the most manner-less creatures. I would never go to there and never recommend.

Excellent. I'm new in Calgary and have been driving in my home country for 15 years. Since the driving side and 99% of all rules are similar, I tried the adv road test and failed due to details. Yep, just like you I wanted to go to the best rated driving school for a brushup before my road test. Keep in mind, I hadn't driven for years. Gary figured out my skill level within minutes and pointed out my reoccurring mistakes. Barely any experience and in 2 hours I was driving flawlessly and passed my test the first time!! Highly highly recommend this driving school! You might be thinking this person is exaggerating about his driving test. If you are thinking so it's not! My story is completely different from all others! I am physically challenged who depend on others for activities like shopping,grocery etc.My case is exceptional in this world it always difficult to deal exceptions they need to follow different procedures to get things done! I am a new immigrant and just arrived on the 18 of June 2015. So driving in Canada was completely a new experience for me as the rules,sides and everything were completely different from what I was used to in India. I was worried and confused. I was referred to '1 2 1' driving school by Mr.John. I started my driving lessons with Mrs.Cherry. The 5 days(10 hours) driving lessons were excellent and I passed my driving test on the fifth day on the very first take. After the test the examiner said "excellent driver"! I appeared for my road test today and managed to clear it in first attempt. All credit goes to Gary. All his tips were immensely useful. Being first time driver, I was too too nervous and finding it really difficult to boost my morale. I was making mistakes. But Gary held his patience, even on my repeated mistakes he guided me as if it was my first. He greatly helped in building my confidence and the result is - I now have my license. I highly recommend people to take training under Gary, ESPECIALLY FIRST TIMERS. I don't think one can get a better instructor than Gary, in Calgary.

I have had my learners licence for over 10 years but couldn't bring myself to do the road test. I started my driving lessons with Gary the ending of October , After procrastinating for 10yrs, I finally passed my road test today. Gary and Cherry are wonderful instructors, they are very patient and really want their students to pass and be safe on the roads. I have been to other driving schools but they weren't helpful. I would recommend One 2 One driving school to anyone and everyone in Calgary area. It is the best driving school you can have. They have excellent customer service and willing to work with your schedule. I took classes with Gary. He is very nice, patient and knowledgeable. Listen to his instructions and follow his techniques to the T and I guarantee you, you will pass road test in first attempt. He uses simple language and clear instructions for the parking and road etiquette. If he says pay attention to something just do it because he knows exactly where you need to work. I still remember how I was when I started driving. On my very first class I was extremely nervous, hesitant and scared but Gary had worked so much to bring my confidence up that I can’t thank him enough. Provide all the information on phone and are very patient. Driving lessons were scheduled on phone and instructor was prompt everytime to pick me up. They don't want you to JUST pass the road test but really stresses on learning how to drive safe. You pass the test automatically. I was apprehensive to learn at this time of year but they built up my confidence. Just do what they tell you and you'll learn alot. All in all I had a wonderful exprience and feel that I really learned something. Very patient and professional in their approach. 121 really sets the standards high! I was unable to complete my Road test because of improper guidance by the previous instructors but with the help of Cherry i clarified my Class 5 as she told me everything very clearly in my own mother tongue punjabi which is Canada's third language, and she told me how to do parrallel parking on a easy way, up hill down hill and so many other easy way to drive the car smoothly and safe driving tactics that is one thing which i like is she told me when she was teaching me to do downhill parking always remember doctor with DR which means first drive and park and than do reverse for drive so I like her methods for keeping the things in mind , As at the last I just want to thankfull to 121 Drving school for having such an amazing employee like Cherry.

A 4 day driving lessons is not enough to take a road test especially if you don't have any driving experiences but with TEACHER CHERRY's expertise in teaching step by step, patience, encouragement and especially her powerful word of motivation "I CAN, I WILL, everything will happen without any doubt. This school is wonderful in teaching beginner drivers and drivers who want a brush up. The price is fair and the lessons are very well organized, as they communicate with you frequently to update your times for the lessons. I personally passed the Class 5 GDL with ease and learned lots out of the insurance classes as well. You should never have to pay for companies like AMA for driving lessons, because most of them are overpriced.

this is one of the best driving schools in Calgary without any shadow of doubt.The instructor Cherry has shown so much patience and is very good at providing tips on how to drive a car safely. Many of my friends were gone to a different diriving school as it was little bit cheaper but I wanted to try something different so I chose this school. It was defintely worth taking classes here in this school and I got passed in the first attempt itself. Cherry was provided tremendous support to guide thorought the classes. She did an exemplary job in making sure my left and right turns are precise.

These guys are great. I took an insurance reduction course with them, and I am fully satisfied with the lessons. My driving instructor was always calm, polite, and helpful, and had some great tips and tricks on how to do things safely and well. I passed my GDL test the first try because I had no problem with the parallel parking thanks to my instructors lessons. I should say here that I've had a Learner's license for almost a decade, and hadn't even been behind the wheel of a car for about 2 years. They are very patient and informed instructors and they not only prepare you for the road test, but for the real life driving situations (believe me, in some cases they are very different). In the beginning, I was repeatedly making mistakes on left turns, school zones, but Gary guided me in every situation in a very constructive manner. The in class school was literally 2 min walk away from the train station and they fit all the classes into my inconvenient and busy schedule. So i have had my learners for 4 or 5 years and havent driven in two years as driving scares me!! Well after months of my husband nagging me about my license i decided to go ahead and try 121 Driving school after reading reviews about them. Well i did a 2 hour brush up lesson this morning and proceeded to take my test after, well i passed and i would like to thank Gary SO SO SO MUCH!!! He is an awesome instructor and patient, his ways of explaining how to do things makes it much more simple then how i first was taught by another driving school. I just had 3 hours brush up lessons with Cherry, it was awesome, she is good, she makes the lesson enjoyable and stress free, she knows when you can drive and she makes sure you are ready for the test. I used to be an anxious and scared driver especially around instructors but I did not feel that with her, she is very relax and friendly with you in the car, she jokes from time to time and she never makes you feel bad about your mistakes, however she makes sure you do not repeat the same mistake again. I learnt with another famous driving school in town few months ago and failed my test, I do not mean they are not good but what I did not appreciate is they let me take my test when the instructor knew exactly that I was not ready! I hate when people work only for money. Driving 121 is awesome, I do recommend it.

Can you imagine if you have never driven a vehicle before, never had held the steering wheel of a car ever before, never had any road experience of any sort before and above all you are brand new to Canada, but despite all these challenges you were able to pass the Canadian Driving License exam in the very first attempt. One of such individuals was my wife. Wonder how that could have ever happened?? That wonder who made it happen was Gary from 121 Driving School. Gary is a lot different to most instructors you find in most Driving Schools. Where most instructors you find follow more of a traditional approach, Gary has a more logical and practical approach. Makes you feel driving is so easy and fun and not scary. With him you also get to know a lot of tips and simple techniques easy to remember which come in very handy. I too have been very fortunate to be a student of professor Gary. Owe it all to him to help me get my driving license in the very first attempt too. Although i was not a beginner as my wife was but had much of my driving experience (18+ years) from one of the most unsafest places to drive in the world.. statistically having one of the highest fatalities so to speak.. i dont want to mention it, but you can google it to find out. The slowest speed there was the highest speed in Canada. From zero discipline to full discipline. You can now imagine the magnitude of transition for me. The worst experience ever.I had been driving outside of Canada for 10 years which she was highly dismissive of .Yes i understand that rules here are different and so it is an instructors job to be patient and calm about the mistakes someone who is new to the rules is making. Her criticism was NOT constructive criticism but was a criticism of YOU as a person. I would not recommend Cherry to anyone, especially not to younger impressionable people. she completely crushed my confidence. In contrast i went to another driving school (which i wont name since that is not the point) and the instructor there was able to get me ready and prepped up in 2 hours for a basic road test which i cleared in one go. i have no idea how they have a five star rating here .

I would say that I am very impressed by the professionalism that they follow. So punctual, always on time ! I requested them to have Gary as my instructer..He made a complete difference to my driving..He gave me accurate amount of info in very patient and calm manner..I learnt alomost 90% of my driving from his 3 classes.He told me so many new things that I was not taught before like speed should be 18 while turning in residential areas..easy way of parallel and hill parking without getting nervous..have to look and wait even if u are going straight and car is coming from right in residential.If I were to rate thier teaching style based on my comfort level I would say 10 for Garry. I was able to do the insurance classes through an online program instead of in class which works so much better with my learning style and hectic schedule! Never forget the time when I was learning in 121 driving school. Garry and Cherry are the best teachers, very patient and helpful. The cars in 121 are very easy to control, which is so important to a new driver like me.Thanks to 121, I just got my GDL Class 5. First of all, Thanks to Gary/Cherry for getting my Class 5 Drivers license. Gary/Cherry, both are very patient, flexible and experienced. They know exactly where you need to improve, concentrate. I took 10 hours of driving lessons. Initially I thought of getting through the road test but brush up lessons boost up my confidence levels. Though I lost my first attempt, I got the confidence of clearing it up in next attempt, so did I. NO SECOND THOUGHT, Go for 121 driving school and Do not bother about registry for road test HIGHLY recommended with GREAT experience!!!

I took the full driving course with the online classroom training as well. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone it was totally worth the investment. Staff are friendly and helpful, very professional and punctual. I was nervous to learn to drive but with my teacher (Gary) I was well prepared for my test which I passed first time! Not recommended for someone with high anxiety when it comes to driving. Lessons seemed fine at first but when I did make mistakes (as learners do), the instructor got upset with me which didn't help. While I did take away some good tips, I felt less confident than ever after lessons. I guess it was just a mismatch. Thanks anyway.

I was so scared to fail, but Gary told me how to relax and made me realize that it was just a test and even if i failed it was not the end of the world. GO WITH 121 DRIVING SCHOOL! BEST ONE IN CALGARY REGION!!!!! Well, because of 121 Driving School, I was able to go into my Class 5 road test with CLARITY. I passed too!!! And I passed BECAUSE of 121. Without them, I wouldnt have know the small little things that were making me fail my tests before. I took two brush up courses with 121 and it was more than worth it. I was practicing with family and reading the book but I was always left with questions that werent being answered by family members and questions that I didnt find clearly answered in the book (for me). So if you find yourself in a similar position, and need clarity and reassurance, and most importantly, very informative detailed instruction, go to 121. I took my lessons in Strathmore. I had Mayank first and then Gary second. Both were fantastic and offered different teaching methods, which really helped me personally. I've been through other driving schools and not one of them EVER checked up on me AFTERWARDS. Gary even texted me with a reminder of certain things, and it made me feel cares about as a customer. Also, you can tell and feel that Gary loves what he does. Just go with 121 Driving School! And thank you 121!!! The name really suits how you guys do business!!!
