The doctors I've seen are great, but I'm not thrilled that they only book appointments 24 hours in advance. I don't live or work anywhere nearby, so trying to coordinate schedules and fit a middle-of-the-day appointment in with only 24 hours' notice is extremely inconvenient. Update: I can now book appointments a few days ahead, which is great!

This family health team is amazing. I've never had a doctor I've liked as much as Dr. den Boer; I rave to my friends all the time about how great she is. She is always punctual for her appointments, is never rushed, takes the time to explain things and help me work out options/the best course of action, and never hesitates to investigate an issue further. I truly believe she has my best interests at heart; she is insightful, an excellent listener and talks things through with me so that I feel like I'm making informed decisions about my health (extra props for that; pretty sure I have a 'difficult patient' note in my file from doctors all over town, like Elaine on Seinfeld). In all seriousness, she really helped me through a health crisis last summer, I'm so glad I found a doctor I can trust. Special shout out to the staff here too! Everyone is super friendly and super helpful, even though I'm sure they're super busy; they were nice and patient with me even the time I called because I couldn't remember what time my appointment was. Thanks for your hard work!! 10/10 recommend

My family doctor- Dr. Den Boer-is amazing, I only have compliments for her. Knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, considerate and available. I have seen other doctors for emergencies and everyone there is really good.

The service has improved amazingly well. They also have physiotherapy in-house add that to the nice doctors they have, it's a very nice hospital. I reviewed without understanding the referral process well and rated Crosstown too low than what they deserve.

Dr. Henry Zhang is my regular Family Doctor. He is nice, approachable and knowledgeable. Thanks to his good senses as well and thinking outside the box, he sent me to the hospital where I was actually admitted due to gastritis. (this is on a weekend walk-in clinic setting, where it was easy to see a doctor on the weekend and I was just lucky that he was here that day) Front desk staff is very busy, yes, but I never found them rude and I was able to get through the phone lines several times without any problems. I heard great things about other doctors as well, although I never met any of them yet. I recommend getting a family physician at West Park FHT.

Bhavesh Dhoka is a great physiotherapist!! I suffered from headaches and neck pain for 3 years, and in just 2 visits I already began to notice a difference. He is attentive and gets straight to the point as others have said! Also always on time! Highly recommend him if you need a physiotherapist.

Not very professional. They act very strict with the reception and front entrance. However, the doctor did not take enough care to look into my condition and barely asked any relevant questions. Instead, she promised that another relevant doctor will give me a call. That was 8 months ago - and I did check back with her to see how it's going. Always later and later. I recommend finding another place. The outside area is pretty nice though? The inside is a crusty building. Waste of time.

I went for my two month baby appointment with Dr. Tang and she never once checked my babies head shape, she was in a rush and now that my baby is 4 months we have to go see a helmet specialist. Not saying it’s her fault but we would have liked a heads up: like hey make sure you do loads of tummy time, in your next appointment we will check to see if she gets a flat head and if she does, she will be recommended to a helmet specialist. Why don’t doctors let you know this ahead of time ? I never came back after that.

Love my doctor here so much! We are truly so happy to have found her. But it's nearly impossible to book an appointment with any sort of advanced notice with the veribook system. I have checkd the website every day for 3 weeks and there has been no availability for my baby's vaccinations. Would definitely give 5+ stars if I could just book a normal appointment.

I’m a new patient here I haven’t seen my doctor yet, but so far my complaint is about the receptionist at the entrance omg what a lifeless, rude, unprofessional person, he has no customer service or any kind of manners whatsoever, he barely looks at you when you are asking, he acts annoyed every time you say something and on the phone he’s even worse, he won’t help find any solution to anything, I really don’t understand why is he working at the front desk/reception.. he would be better to work at home nobody needs to see people like that publicly, someone needs to prescribe him a happy pill..

Overall I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of care that I've received over the past couple of years since I moved to Toronto in 2015. I am truly thankful to Doctor Christopher Sun for helping me with my health over the years. As well as Doctor Bhavesh Dhoka, for assisting me with physiotherapy over the past two months that has taken away my lower back pain from a previous workplace injury. Both doctors have been amazing with my care and will continue to help me towards a long, healthy and happy life. I totally recommend this facility if you live in the area!!

Just want to give a shout out to my Family Doctor and his team. I moved to Toronto 6 years ago and Doctor Sun has been my only Doctor (I had several in the UK who didn't really care). Doctor Sun is the best, hes cared about me when I lost my Dad, had depression and recommended me to see my councillor Karen for therapy and also grief classes. Hes helped me by listening to literally every concern I have big and small and hasn't said its about my weight or targeted me just on that, or just given me pills and sent me away. Rather he got to the root of the problem and he really cares. Thank you Doctor Sun! It truly makes a difference when you feel like someone cares especially when it's your medical team. Thank you so much for all your hard work, time and energy!

Terrible just terrible. I've been a patient here for the past few years and the doctors are constantly changing. I've never left an appointment feeling that the medical issue was resolved. Always feel rushed and that the doctors just want to get you out and that they have better things to do with their time. They don't believe in regular check ups but rather just tell you to come see them when you feel something is wrong. Wow! No preventative practice just reactive. Never once suggested yearly check ups. On my last visit the doctor provided a requisition for blood work, I get to the clinic and the nurse tells me the doctor put the wrong name on the requisition... I brought the requisition back to reception staff and told them what happened they didn't seem to care and I left. I never received a call for apology or to reschedule appointment so they don't care. It's been about a year now. Won't be going back and I suggest looking for a different family doctor.

I love my doctor, but the reception staff seems to have a hard time figuring things out. I go because I don't want to change doctors, but if they keep losing my appointments and slipping me in with another doctor I may have to look elsewhere. I would hate to do that as it's so hard to find a good doctor.

She consistently shows so much respect, integrity and expertise. den Boer is also down-to-earth & open. Example: she gives prompt efficient info. on tests whether neg./positive. She shows logical problem-solving skills. I trust her as my healthcare provider completely. The admin. & reception team are excellent.

Good doctors, terrible reception staff. I call 4 times and get no answer but always get a prompt answer when I block my number. Twice I have been booked for a specialist appointment that I was not told about until a reminder call the day before from the specialists office. When told they would look into it and call me back I received nothing. Also told that it was the specialists job to contact me and put the blame on them when I was told otherwise by the specialist AND that is never the case with other situations I have been in. Quick to put the blame on others. Ive been waiting almost a year to be booked for this. Should not have to feel this way about a place that is supposed to provide health care!!!!

My doctor is fantastic, the reception staff...not so much (with the exception of Diane, she great). The male receptionist is aggressive and unhelpful. I dread receiving calls from him as I am usually left feeling stressed and frustrated, his lack of wanting to be helpful is abundantly clear. The staff require regular follows when waiting for specialist appointments, other wise you are forgotten about. And if they do get you a specialist appointment, half of the time they forget to tell you about it.

The West Park Family Health team is extremely professional, efficient and thorough. I have been with this office for about 3 years now, and the Dr. (Dr. Lauren Den Boer) takes her time to answer questions, is very knowledgeable, offers amazing follow up, etc. I had a baby this year, and care has been wonderful. I also very much appreciate the reception staff. They are kind, prompt, and professional. I can almost always get same day or next day appointments. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to see the doctor for the scheduled appointment. They also offer clinics evenings and weekends. Honestly, I think this place should teach other doctor's offices how to run! If you are looking for a great family doctor's office, I would highly recommend.

This office is so unorganized. They don't call to remind you of your appointment, they are very rude over the phone and the Dr is a little girl who does not even smile when greeting you. They seem like they just want a quick swipe of you OHIP card so they can get paid. No reults were ever given to me. They sent a letter in the mail to tell me about my paps results which was not agreed upon with me. This is confidential info which should be pre-approved if paper is being sent to your home. They asked for me to go to ALL the walk ins that I have been to to get my medical reports. I had to pay 35$x3. This is the worst drs office ever.

The reception staff at this health centre needs some work. I called yesterday to book an appointment and was told to call back today to confirm it. After leaving one voicemail this morning and calling three times with no answer, I decided to call back with my phone number blocked - surprisingly, when I called back with the blocked number, my call was answered (as I have seen has happened to a few other users). Speaking to the reception this morning, no appointment was made and I apparently had to call on the day of to book the appointment. This should have been explained thoroughly upon talking to the receptionist yesterday. The receptionist this morning also seemed very annoyed with my call and basically booked my appointment and hastily rushed me off of the phone. I have worked as a medical secretary for 8 years and this type of patient service is unacceptable. You are dealing with sick individuals who are just trying to book an appointment to deal with their medical issues - customer/patient service needs a serious revamp/course refresher! And please stop screening phone calls. My grandma has also called on multiple occasions, left voicemails and has had no reply. Dr. Den Boer is the best though! :)

My 9 year old special needs sister got turned away from an appointment because my mom is not vaccinated! This is extremely unlawful and this clinic should be fined and every doctor in this clinic should be fined for denying medical treatment on the basis of my moms medical decisions and freedoms. The appointment was not for my mom it was for my sister! Also the receptionist said that she can’t create an appointment Monday to Friday because my mom is unvaccinated but yet she can come in on the weekend when the clinic is accepting walk-ins only which to me and to my entire family, makes no sense what’s so ever! This is a joke and this clinic needs to be publicly chastised for there stupid policy!

Went in for a visit, never got my prescription sent to the pharmacy???? Next to impossible to get a hold of someone. Don't take my word for it try calling. I like the doctor but a lot to be said about everything else.

I am very satisfied with my family doctor. My issue is with access to my doctor. I work every day and on weekends. I am unable to see her the evening unless it is urgent. I can see anyone else but not her. This FHC has a definitive problem With barriers to access. I am unable to speak to the clinical manager as the doctors apparently are self employed so I need to speak to them. For such a forward thinking office they are behind the times when it comes to being able to see your doctor in the evening. It's called continuity of care and should really change or be modified.

Wonderful family health team, great option for the neighbourhood with drop-in hours and ability to book online. The doctors here are young, very approachable. There is a nurse on-site as well as being able to do simple blood work right there. Street parking on Weston or around the corner.

I was suffering from complications in my neck and traps since last one year, tried many physios in Durham area but in vain.Most of them wanted to use up the insurance money and gave no results,poor diagnosis.many didn't even knew what the problem was. Then my friend referred me to Physio Bhavesh Dhoka.Bhavesh is extremely knowledgeable and result oriented in his treatment.He knows what he's doing and just in 4 sessions, I was back to normal.he has sound knowledge and can diagnose and treat unique and complicated cases. He works with a targeted approach and delivers results in few sessions.I used to travel all the way from Pickering to Etobicoke just for my treatment sessions but it's worth the travel when you see results.once again thanks a lot Bhavesh and I would highly recommend him.
