after my horrible visit to a dentist in Winnipeg, i've been avoiding dentists for years. but coffees and teas eventually left a mark that even my electric toothbrush couldn't remove so i decided to go for a cleaning. i am really glad i chose the Somba Ké Dental Clinic! the cleaning was done by the dentist, who was very thorough. the years worth of stains disappeared and no nonexistent cavities were diagnosed, unlike the dentist in Winnipeg who told me i had several (i am really glad i didn't believe him).

He as taken amazing care of my entire family, including putting my daughter through braces. Suffering from pericoronitis, swollen lymph nodes, pain while i turned my head, difficulties swallowing and severe pain in my jaw - i called the emergency line and was told to drop by during walk in. I got service pretty quickly staff was friendly, however the hygienist was gaslighting my experience. I did not get to see the dentist as he was out of the office. The hygenist told me to rinse my mouth with salt water, i said i had been doing that already and it hasnt helped. He gave me a toothpaste and said i had nice teeth and told me to be on my way. I was furious and almost cried. I ended up going to Adam dental, they took good care of me, they drained the infection in my tooth, prescribed me antibiotics, and have a follow up appt on tuesday to try to free my tooth from the gum line -- if that doesnt work they will be extracting my tooth. I was in severe pain for 12 hrs even after the antibiotics. My pain has finally subsided. I am glad i followed my gut instinct and went to another dentist. If i hadn't i wouldve been suffering with an infection getting worse and being in more pain. I did not tell Adam dental about my experience at somba k and just let them do their thing. I was taken seriously and received proper care for my concern. I often worry about those who cant advocate for their health needs and how our medical system neglects patients in need due to their own agenda or biases. If you think ur concerns are not being heard or brushed off -- please get a second opinion.

Without a doubt, the cutest, loveliest and most professional staff I have dealt with. My partner and I had a cleaning done and I also got fitted for a night guard. I have been a patient at Dr. Kobaisy's clinics for over 30 years and returned yesterday for a check up and cleaning. The service and care at Somba Ke Dental clinic remains absolutely great. Everything was comfortable, there was no waiting and the exam and cleaning was very comprehensive. All of the crowns, bridges and fillings performed by Dr. Kobaisy and his team over the past 30 years continue to function perfectly.

This has been the dental office of my choice for me and my family for the last 12 years. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, and the dentist is fantastic. My family has had nothing but great service. I'm a single mom and my 3 kids look forward to seeing him! My oldest daughter just finished orthodontics, and the results are beautiful, my second daughter just got braces and is looking forward to beautiful results. I had shopped around for the best price for braces and found them to be the cheapest, and my girls are seeing and ortho specialist. I would never see anouther dentist as long as I live in Yellowknife, this office is the best in town! I highly recommend them :)
