I absolutely hate to do this, but after 20 years I am transferring to another doctor. Prior to the pandemic I had no complaints. Dr Makinde himself is fantastic. However, since the start of the pandemic the level of care has greatly decreased. At first I assumed that it was because of the pandemic. Now, almost 2 years into the pandemic, I have to make the hard decision to change my family's primary care physician. I have not been able to see the doctor since the start of the pandemic. Phone calls make me incredibly uncomfortable and anxious. And to make matters worse I have not been able to get a hold of the office to schedule an appointment to have my medication adjusted. Dr. Makinde is quite soft spoken, polite, and respectful, but the new receptionist that just called me today to ask about forwarding medical information to the new physician was rude and has left me shaking and in tears. I feel horrible transferring because Dr Makinde is a great person, but I'm no longer receiving the care I need because the office staff is no longer functioning as efficiently as it once did. It's time for a change.

Great doctor , very compassionate and always helpful. His receptionists are incompetent and not helpful. They ignore phone calls and don't follow through with tasks they say they're going to do. I had asked them to mail off documents to a specific recipient and they said they would. Come to find out, a week later, they hadn't done it . Saying I requested to pick it up, which I didn't. Then gave me the run around until I got frustrated and said I'd pick it up!! Dr. Makinde needs to fire them.

Dr. Makinde was our family doctor for almost 18 years. He is excellent doctor, very thorough and dedicated to his patient. He listen to his patients health concerns and take action ASAP. He does not rush when examining his patients not like other doctors that i went prior to meeting Dr. Makinde, that doctor was rushing me and only want her patient to address 1 health problem per appointment, when i told her i got another health concern she told me to book for another appt. I was dis appointed so i look for another doctor. Thank God i met Dr. Makinde who took care of our whole family wt. compasion and honest. Thank you so much Dr. Makinde for all your care to our family. We are praying for your good health and safety wt. your family always so you can help more people who need your care and support. Dr. Makinde cared for my mother for years before he became my physician for the last 15 years. He provided my mother with excellent care through to the time of her passing. He has always been kind, caring, gentle, thorough and helpful. In my case, not only has he always provided timely and effective care, his extra-thoroughness led to discovery of a previously undetected tumour. As a result of his "extra caution", the cancerous tumour was identified, confirmed, and prompted removed. Now, a year later I am now confirmed as cancer free. This is something that could have continued to be easily missed/overlooked, but Dr. Makinde's skill & thoroughness is responsible for my cancer being identified & eradicated.

Sometimes, you just have to say nothing negative about the Doctor himself because there is nothing to say. The Doctor, himself is great, efficient, detailed, caring and professional but for the last two years, it felt like his staff were playing some kind of negative games. They would not answer the phone when you call. When they answer hang up on you. They would say they would call you back and won't. This occurred with one particular staff. At one stage I was very concerned for his safety and called some one who knew him to confirm he was OK. It took me a long time to see the Doctor. I eventually did. He has been so good to me, I will continue to be his client.

I have been with Makinde for years. I had been waiting for ultrasound results for over a week. I was told that it was not a serious concern. I show up @ his office and the results say I have possible chronic kidney disease out of no where . Then when I try and get proper information about how it's possible after having perfectly good kidney health all my life that I can get a result like this, Makinde tells me he has no idea. Now I get to wait three weeks for specialist wondering what's going to happen to my kidneys and answers. I have always thought good of this doctor but I should Bren told immediately of the results and there should be immediate explanation as to how hell this is possible. I should be getting immediate follow up ultrasound and more tests. I can't sleep d/t from this experience. That should not be how health care is run. Very disappointed in this doctor and the experience I've had. Shannon Barron
