They should really work on the emergency wait times.. the only reason someones comes there is that there is an emergency.. waiting for 4 to 5 hours just for someone to call ur name is unbelievable. Atleast Basic treatment should be provided upon arrival to an emergency patient.

A hospital emergency room is one of the last places you would choose to go, but when you need one, this is a good one. The person in charge of triage in emergency admitting was helpful, efficient, considerate, & very real, despite having what must be a high-stress job. The doctor was capable, knowledgeable, & had a sense of humor -- something rare in these settings. Be prepared to wait, especially if what you are there for is not a life-or-death immediacy, since they will look after those situations first, as they should.

15yr old daughter Extreme abdominal pain. Waited 6 hrs to see a Doctor, no one saw her or nothing. She’s crying in pain they’re not doing anything or seem to care at all. When they walked past & saw she was crying said hopefully soon you will see a Dr. 6hrs with a child in pain no eta on when a Dr will see her or anything. Left hospital to go to another one who actually may care that a child is doubled over in pain crying

This Hospital Emergency Room admitting area, has about 22 chairs. The admittance window also has chairs, while taking my information. I have seen walk-in emergencies handled immediately. The ambulance emegencies use another entrance. Update: Pictures are not allow, as I was told today, so it appears this is against Fraser Health (our government policy) but I'm your strong supporter, monetarily. My pictures will continue on. Thanks for being our local hospital......

Very nice and passionate staff! No wait time today ( though it's not something they can control) but I was given a bed with warm blankets and the Asian looking nurse is so kind and helpful! Really like 5 star treatment :)

I have to say, we have heard a whole lot about Emergency Room wait times and poor staffing... NOT our experience at all, especially on Halloween and anyone would have expected the staff to be overwhelmed and on edge. My wife had a bad fall and injured her shoulder, the front end staff got us checked in and the triage nurse took all the details. The total time from check in, initial X-rays, consult with Dr. Hendry to a second round of X-rays followed up with Nurse Patricia in the Cast Room fitting her arm and shoulder brace was only 2 hours... How can anyone expect more than that. My wife was diagnosed with a Proximal Humerus Head Fracture in her shoulder, we left with really good advise, some pain medication and an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon at the hospital within a week, REALLY with in a week!!! How Great. The x-ray technician was kind and gentle and Nurse Patricia was warm and empathetic. Unfortunately I came in with an ambulance and was emitted immediately,. Even though I was out an out of province patient, all the staff and the attending physician were great through my ordeal. This was professionalism at it's finest!

My husband had a stroke while in White Rock. He was taken to Emergency at Peace Arch Hospital. He was discharged after some blood work and a chest X-ray and was told he did not meet the “stroke protocol”. He was escorted out of the ER slightly dazed and confused. Luckily our son saw him leaving he could have wandered out into traffic if unescorted. That evening I took my husband to the ER at another hospital. They took his symptoms seriously, he had a CT scan which showed a recent stroke. He is still in the hospital. When he is released he will need physical therapy and a speech therapist, a cane and a walker. Unbelievable treatment by an ER staff that clearly needs education on Stroke Protocol.
