Dr. Cohan left me feeling helpless, ignored and unimportant. I was in tears the majority of the appointment and left with him slamming the door in my face. Please do not see him! Value yourself more and find someone else.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Fakhr last Fall when I contacted her for nutrition and weight loss counseling. Throughout my lifetime, I have tried many different ways to lose weight and have always failed. With her program I learned how to understand the food I eat and how my body works with this food. she did not restrict my eating habits but showed me how to read labels and introduce healthier things into my diet. To date, I am please to say that I have lost weight over 44lb. I truly do not believe I would have learned everything I did and feel so good about reaching my goals. I can only recommend Dr Fakhr.

Super Disapointed ,horrible service ,they pick and choose who they see ,all about the business and making money . I needed a new Doc cause we moved a block away ,first first Dr Kohan said he will accept me and my family but after I ask questions ,he said we are not a right fit and I should gogind another Doc and drew a map of other clinics on the paper so I go find another Doctor . They are all Persians Doctors there and since 6 of us were refused,I’m assuming they don’t like to have Persian Patients . DO SAD TO SEEEE???????????? So sad to see the medical system is becoming worst every day ,in the old days it’s was about saving lives ,but now is about making money and the more you see your doc the more he make money per session . ON THE WALK THEY HAVE A SIGN ASKING YOU TO NOT MENTION MORE THAN 3 symptoms ,wow how can you do that? when you have a problem it effects all your body and different organs . Not recommended ,SAVE YOUR LIFE AND GO SOME WHERE THEY CARE .

I saw Dr. Madjid Cohan and my experience was absolutely awful. He was incredibly rude, angry, and made me feel so unimportant. I had been to him a number of times, out of convenience since it is so close to where I live. After leaving the clinic in tears at my last appointment I finally convinced myself to go find another doctor that would care more about my needs. I found an exponentially better doctor the next day. This clinic will only allow you to talk about one issue and the doctors rush in and out without really listening to you. Save yourself the wasted time and just go to another clinic.

Convieniently located close by but the convienience of proximity cost me. They're rude, unprofessional, long waits and unhelpful. In the end I ended up having to go to a different doctor.

In the 14 years I have been living in Canada, amongst other cities. This practice is by far the worst location I have ever been to. The doctors at this location handpick the clients that they want to help. It is stated that they take walk-ins, but apparently it’s only over the phone. I called to register my number for an appointment call back, and I initially repeated my number 5 times for the receptionist. After I gave her my number after 5 times, I was told I would get a call within an hour…… 6 hours later, I still get no calls. So I called back to the receptionist and she told me the Doctor had already called me, but I never received any missed calls. So then the receptionist said they got my number wrong accidentally, and she had made a mistake in the sequence with only a digit off the correct number. So then she made the “correction” and said I should expect a call really soon from the doctor. And I still never got a call back. This is the type of experience you will get when you go to a Persian run health clinic. I do not recommend, I’ve seen worse clinics in Mumbai that’s better than this place. Please don’t waste your time going here.

Dr. Zandy was rude and demeaning. I went in at opening and she preceded to lecture me about how I need to see my family Dr. And that she wasn't accepting new patients. I was there for a walk in referral!? Not a good first impression . She was also rude when my husband went there. She also told me next time I'll have to wait even though I had an energetic 2 year old with me, whom she never acknowledged entire visit. Not impressed! Next time I will only see walk in doctor. Also not open Saturdays! ?!? Go somewhere else if u can!!!!

I was very impressed with the service I received at the Edgemont Medical Clinic, starting with the service I received from the receptionists to the medical attention I received from Dr. Cohan who was very sensitive to my needle phobia; very thorough and judicious. Even when I returned the next day because of concerns with my injury, I again received amazing service. We are very lucky to have such an excellent clinic in Edgemont Village. If you're planning on going here, be aware that you're only permitted to see the doctor about ONE concern and you're only permitted to ask about 3 symptoms. The receptionist is ill mannered. I was seen relatively quickly. The doctor was extremely rough when he was checking if my lymph nodes were swollen, despite the fact I told him that they were painful. His professional medical advice to me was to just use lip balm on my cold sores that did not look like your typical cold sores.

The receptionist is professional and very friendly! She made me feel very welcome when I came in for the first time, she even offered to stay until I could get to the clinic as I was in downtown Vancouver. When I got there she was waiting for me. Filled out the paperwork and got to see Dr. Cohan to meet and discuss process of becoming a new patient. I was very happy with the Dr’s professional and appropriate bedside manner. He shows true empathy for your concerns and without hesitation will refer you immediately to another specialist or for testing. He helped me with requesting my medical file be transferred from Ontario to his office. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone. I talked with dr. Utah Zandy she is polite and professional as well and I’m sure she is a wonderful doctor as well. I understand that some people in the reviews are not happy, and that is unfortunate. I hope they give the clinic another shot as everyone here is a pleasure to work with.

Unbelievably terrible treatment by the very angry Dr Madjid Cohan. I will be writing my first ever complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC based on this experience and I encourage the other people who have had similar experiences as outlined in these other reviews to do the same.

Five star for Dr. Zandy. My family and I are patients of Dr. Zandy for the past two years. Dr. Zandy is very attentive and very careful about her diagnoses. In many cases Dr. Zandy help us to see the specialist when we needed and even she visited one of my kids at hospital when we had an emergency. I can not thank Dr. Zandy enough for what she has done for my family. I recommend Edgemont Medical Clinic and Dr. Utah Zandy to everyone.

My experience with doctor Cohan have been rather unpleasant. He speaks down to women, is condescending and blatantly rude. Not what you’d expect from someone whoTook a hypocritical oath. I would never recommend this doctors office to anyone.

I was extremely happy with dealing with both the receptionist and Dr Cohan. I was a first time patient yesterday and the receptionist listened with care and offered me a few options in seeing a doctor. During these times of Covid, I was happy to be offered a face time consult with Dr Cohan. I found him to be both professional and warm and I left the appointment feeling cared for and at ease about solving my medical issue. Many thanks!

Working nearby at a job site as the first aid attendant/Safety Coordinator, one of the Traffic Control Personnel was having a severe allergic reaction. The workers symptoms were severe enough to warrant immediate medical attention. Noting the Edgemont Medical Clinic being 2 blocks away, we quickly made our way to the clinic. Upon arrival the worker suffering a reaction did not have her BC Medical Card on her but knew the number. This was unacceptable to the receptionist or "Clinic Policy". (Possibly fabricated on the spot) The worker tried calling MSP to get a copy of her card emailed to her but the wait time for a call back was 2 days! Then the receptionist said she would have to pay 70$ to see the doctor even with her MSP card. As we sat in the office I watched this poor Traffic Control Person shake and become short of breath as she waited on hold with MSP. Her entire arm was swollen , itchy and red. The receptionist in the mean time took a woman and her daughter into see the doctor because the girl said she had a runny nose. After seeing this I asked the receptionist why she would take a person with a runny nose into see the doctor when the worker could possibly go into shock was waiting for medical attention? She continued to maintain her ridiculous policy of needing to see the MSP card. I then assured the heartless receptionist I would be posting this interaction on Yelp. I cannot remember her response as i was concerned for the workers well being. We then left the clinic Myself and the worker then went back to the job site. The worker was getting a tingling sensation in her throat. We then took her to emergency via a co-worker from our job site. I will update this post with the workers status as soon as I can. This is absolutely the WORST and most DISGUSTING behavior from a medical clinic ever witnessed. Every Canadian has the right to medical care. What is the world coming to that someone cannot receive medical treatment when required? It should be noted as well NO ONE WAS IN THE WAITING ROOM WHEN WE ARRIVED. Why was she turned away? Was it because she was First Nations? This incident occurred on November 14th at 12:30 pm. I cannot tell you how angry I am right now. Please feel free to ask me questions about this interaction.

This place is an absolute joke. Waited 45 minutes for no reason other than disorganization. The doctor, dr Cohan, was so unbelievably rude, impatient with basic questions and rushed me the entire time. So pathetic. This is not health care but completely negligent and unprofessional. If you can go elsewhere, I recommend it, these people obviously need to take some time off.. or better still, just shut down.

Would NOT recommend. First time here, looked online for wait time to be told 0 mins updated 1 minute prior. Upon arrival was told 15-20 mins, no big deal. 40 minutes later I am told it is my turn and wait in room. 25 minutes go by and I ask the reception how much longer, she tells me I’m next. After 5 minutes I wander out into the hallway again and realize she has seen one patient that came in after me and had just gone into a room with another patient that came 20 mins after me. When asking the reception she says she will “shuffle the doctor my way” when she finds her. While sitting here she has just gone into another room with the 3rd patient after me. Go somewhere where you’ll get treatment, it’s not here.

Dr. Cohan is very knowledgeable. He takes time to explain you the issue and answers all questions. His diagnosis is very accurate. He made a couple of good referrals that were key to my treatment. An amazing doctor with a great team.

Doctor cohen is a doctor which shows no manner when it comes to the respect that needs to be between the doctor and the patient and leaving the patient anxious and unhappy while leaving the clinic one of my worst experiences with any family doctor !

I have gone to Edgmont Medical clinic for quite a while now, and have always been very satisfied with the care and attention that I have received. I have changed many clinics before that I wasn’t satisfied with. I’m a mother of two and I feel that I need to feel comfortable and safe when seeing a doctor . Our family doctor there is Doctor Majid Cohan with lots of knowledge and a very friendly attitude, which is very important specially when dealing with kids. I absolutely recommend doctor Cohan and the whole clinic experience if you are looking for a trustworthy family physician.

Unprofessional and incompetent people, not taking patients health or time seriously. Had an appointment booked for a severe pain, and was made to wait an hour even after the appointment. Dr. Cohan saw me for less than 2 mins, however was nice. Said he will be prescribing three medicines, and that they should reach my pharmacy in a minute or two as will be sent right away. When I reached my pharmacy an hour later, came to know that the prescription had still not come through! Called multiple times at the clinic, and the receptionist would just keep me on hold without listening. When I got hold of them, she said she has sent the prescription now, but had still not reached the pharmacy around 10 mins later. I had someone from the pharmacy call them after and the prescription finally came but only for 1 out of the 3 things doctor had mentioned. And the pharmacy asked me to come again an hour later. When I called the clinic again asking why only 1 prescription has been sent instead of 3, (Dr. Cohan had nicely explained how the three things will work together to help ease my pain and infection), and the receptionist mentioned that is all she has received. I asked her to confirm again with the doctor, to which she responded that he is very busy and I should call back tomorrow instead. The one star here is only for the goodness of Dr. Cohan. Because all this while, the clinic showed zero empathy, no apology, and expected me to be in the severe pain for hours and now days. I guess they don't care about the patients or people at all, and also don't believe in doing their jobs sincerely, even if it is something as simple as sending the prescription to the pharmacy.

Dr Cohan is a very thorough family doctor who listens and doesn’t jump to conclusions which is fantastic. Staff are polite and friendly. Sometimes there might be a delay if they have a couple of important issues to deal with and Dr Cohan takes his time to talk things through quickly/ properly. He picked up on a couple of things my last family doctor overlooked and tested things which the former doctor had dismissed without checking. We are sad to move out of the area and have to look for a new one. Great with kids too.
