Several years after having a concussion, I experienced symptoms that didn't seem solvable by many of the specialists I saw. My quality of life diminished significantly and I was at a loss of what to do or what could help. Thankfully, I was referred to Dr. Ash and I've never looked back. Dr. Ash is my super hero in my very real life. I am deeply grateful and indebted to Dr. Ash and his wonderful team, for helping me re- claim my health, my life and my creative passions with gusto! After a complex, multiple shoulder and collarbone injury that included a serious concussion, I was immobilized and overwhelmed by daily vertigo, nausea, mental confusion, hyper sensitivity to sound and movement and by the severe chronic pain. I doubled my mindful meditation practice while I waited in vain for weeks to hear back from the Vancouver Concussion Clinic. They recommended “rest, drugs and no computer work” as the ultimate remedy. After six weeks of meditation and resting, I was getting worse and knew I had to find other answers as my mental state was grim. How fortunate that a caring friend highly recommended Dr. Ash at that time, right in Caulfield Village only 20 min from my island! It was providence indeed! When we first met, I was barely able to walk, on a cane, in a sling and in a state of anxious tears. I knew from past healing cycles that I would heal but the brain factor injury was a whole other world. A brain injury is very humbling and serious. His compassionate and caring nature was the warm and radiant sunshine my broken body needed. I was referred to Dr.Jalili by my concussion specialist to help with balance and coordination issues I was having 5 years after my car accident. Dr.Jalili is a wizard. He ran me through a suite of tests and assessments and by combining the information he got from those with his Chiropractic treatments he was able to significantly improve my condition almost right away. Through continued follow-ups and additional exercises I keep improving after each visit. I had given up on these parts of my injuries getting better but Dr.Jalili has given me hope again. I am not one to normally believe reviews like this, and I will say that I had to do work on other injuries to be ready to receive this treatment, but I absolutely want to share that Dr.Jalili is the real deal. I had my concussion in Feb 2021. It wasn't until July 2021 that I started feeling the effects. I went to my family doctor. He told me that there is 0% chance this is from the concussion. He prescribed my meds, which I didn't take. I went to an audiologist, physiotherapist, RMT, acupuncturist, optometrist, opthamologist, talked to a neurologist, and I'm sure I'm missing some from this list. I was running out of hope until I was referred to Dr. Ash by a friend. I knew I was at the right place when Dr. Ash and his team did a 1+ hour assessment on me. I started going to Dr. Ash last year when his "concussion" specialization came to my attention. I have had many whip lash accidents and head injuries over the course of my life and never found any relief from my symptoms which have plagued me to the point where I felt the last resort was pharmaceutical intervention. Fortunately, after just one treatment and throughout the course of my therapy my symptoms started improving and have virtually disappeared. Dr. Ash is so competent and well educated in his chosen field he has many more qualifications than most any other Chiropractor. In fact, his thoroughness may have in fact saved my life. He was concerned about my lack of energy and loss of hair and told me to go get blood work done. I did so and my iron count was dangerously low! Not one GP considered this a problem. If not for his intuitive and caring nature I would have gone to an early grave! His treatment is noninvasive and holistic and the results are immediately noticeable. I am so much better now than I was last year that I just need to go in for a "tune up" from time to time. Early this spring my partner was assaulted in downtown Vancouver and suffered a basilar skull fracture with multiple subarachnoid hemorrhages. I am very, very blessed to have found Dr. Ash Jalili. He has played a significant role in my road to recovery from my accident in 2017, that resulted in a concussion. I found him about 15 months after my accident. At that point in time, I had seen several health practitioners - I had seen some progress but I never found full recovery. The symptoms from the concussion would come back and would be very debilitating, causing fear, sadness and hopelessness. For 15 months I was continuing to suffer from these post-concussion symptoms. I was referred to by another doctor, to see Dr. Jalili. I had my first appointment with him February 2019. Upon meeting Dr. Jalili for the first time in February 2019, he welcomed me with a warm smile and open arms and he listened to me with his whole being. He heard me and what I had to say. He had confidence that he could help me. He was able to diagnose me with my issues, something no other doctor could pinpoint. Every time I set foot in his office, or treatment room he and his staff continue to welcome me in the same manner. I feel safe and comforted in this treatment centre. This place is a ‘Safe Haven’ for someone who has experienced a concussion, particularly with vestibular issues. Since the beginning Dr. Jalili has helped me feel safe and confident that things would get better - And they have! It has been almost 1 year since meeting him, and starting my treatments. My life has turned around for the better! I am now able to do many things I could not do since before the accident. I am improving all the time, and continuing to see successes. When I first started seeing him I was experiencing head aches all the time, I had some issues with driving, I could not hike on an incline due to the vestibular issues I was having, I was often nervous, and anxious, I was often exhausted and could not exercise due to my reoccurring dizziness, my sleep was disturbed, I had an increased sensitivity to light and noise, multitasking was difficult, I was not socializing much due to my many symptoms - I had more bad days than good days. I was not in a good place. I was working modified hours at work, due to all my symptoms. I have improved so much, that I have a quality of life that brings me joy to get up in the morning and carry out my day without fear. My teenage son was assaulted after a party, was admitted to hospital, and suffered serious facial injuries and concussion. He recovered after several months of careful monitoring...then bang, a playful snowball to the head and he was re-injured. I rushed home to find him with all the lights off, avoiding computers, screens and TV's, and demanding audio-books to keep him from going bonkers. His university semester was in jeopardy. By the time I got my him to Dr. Ash's office, my son was depressed, scared, and very angry. He could hardly sit still in the waiting area. He was desperate for a solution, anything that would give him a better outlook on his long life ahead. Dr. Ash's super-empathetic bedside manner set my son at ease right away. He conducted his diagnosis with physical co-ordination tests, in-depth questions, and surprisingly effective diagnostic tools. Dr. Ash then led my son through a series of brain exercises. After 90 minutes, my son felt and acted completely different. Both his brain and his psychology had turned a page, almost miraculously. After that single session, my son had no more need for dark rooms, had no more headaches, and no more fatigue. He is back as an A student at UVic. I can't imagine what his life would be like today without Ash's one intervention. My son's lifestyle--and maybe his life, was saved. Thank you Dr. Ash! I'm not sure how we could ever repay you.

Amazing place - Dr. Ash is one of a kind. He figured something out in 10 minutes that every other doctor had missed for months. Best bedside manner of any physician I’ve ever met. Smart, easy to talk to, great to collaborate with - one of my favourites for sure. Location is great, easy to get to and very clean. I started going to Dr Ashkan Jalili in August 2016 after many failed attempts of receiving help for ongoing concussion symptoms. I noticed relief in my symptoms within a few visits. I can't recommend Dr Ash enough for anyone with a concussion. His team at the office are excellent! I had some people say they didn't think I'd come back from this but thanks to Dr Ash I'm back!
