I was referred to this person from the emergency room attending physician. She made a diagnosis but wasn't sure and was forwarding me to a few places for further investigation. I was asked to contact Dr. khan and make an appt. for asap...he also received the referral and I did get in within a week. I was excited to finally start to get answers, he was on time and pleasant when he introduced himself and what his practice was...internal medicine and heart. I sat down and he asked me why I was here to see him today. I started to give a bit of history of my problem when he abruptly stopped me and asked me why I was there on that day. I said to him that I was explaining my issue...he said that has nothing to do with today. I was confused so I asked for what information he wanted...he again said...you still haven't told me why you are here today. Again I was confused and asked him what he was talking about...he said my doctor sent me because of an issue...that I didn't have...I corrected him and he became defensive and again said why are you here today I finally said " I don't know what you are asking for I just want help solving my issue...he said he couldn't help me there was nothing he could do...I was flabbergasted to say the least.....I asked him what am I to do when this flares up again...he told me to go the the hospital. I said are you not even going to examine me? He said no point...then he got up, ripped the paper off the examining table ( very aggressively)to put fresh paper on.. He then said, if you want me to examine you then fine....I then said...I am not allowing you to examine me since you said there was nothing you could do and you are not willing to help. Good Luck with this doctor...I don't know if he was having a bad day but my treatment was beyond ridiculous and uncalled for...I went in very cooperative and happy to know I was on my way to finding out my medical issue only to be insulted, humiliated and disappointed.
