These guys are great. I needed my garage door fixed and only had two days to do it, once I told them the sale on my house closes in 2 days and it was urgent, they did everything they could to send someone out to me the same day. Dale is the name of the person who showed up, he is a sales person that hadn't done services in a while, but he came out of servicing retirement just to help me out as all their other staff were booked for 2 weeks. The job he did was amazing and he was incredibly patient even after finding out I did a poor job explaining the problem and realizing it was going to be more work than originally thought. BOTTOM LINE: would recommend to anyone!

I purchased a security gate system and was refereed to Canadian Door Doctor & Construction Co. Ltd to install them. With installation and product it cost me $5085. Owner Paul Gifford was initially helpful and very nice until i had issues with the product. If you are intending to spend thousands of dollars with Canadian Door Doctor & Construction Co. Ltd I suggest you dont! One of our gates malfunctioned and was still under warranty, however Paul would not help. We ended up paying someone else to do the repair. Several months later the other gate had the same issue and the part was still covered but Paul refuses to return my calls and help with that issue. I guess i take the loss? After paying an Initial $5085 for a product I’m up to $6085 in repairs for 2 defective gates and 1 horrible experience. Save yourself the stress and don’t waste your money dealing with this business; its just not worth it. You have been warned. If we can save others from getting punked like we were then this experience was worth it.

Truly honest and the most helpful and informative Garage Door people, BAR NONE! I had them come to adjust an older wooden 12 foot garage door, thinking maybe I needed a new door. The service representative assured me I had a beautiful door that will last many more years that just needed adjusting here and there. He was efficient and helpful and gave me a few tips to help maintain my garage door now that He had adjusted and repaired it properly. Just a week earlier another local garage door service had told me "it was time for a new door" as my wooden garage door, "had just about had it". OMG the Door Doctor people will be the ONLY place I call when it really is time for a new door at my current home or if We ever move!! So when it came time to buy new seals for all around the door, including new aluminum and rubber for the bottom I went straight to the DOOR DOCTOR and again, they were refreshingly pleasant and Friendly ( ALL THE STAFF, front and back) and took care of everything I needed even showing examples on their "showroom" doors. Never rushing me out the door and answering every question I had with some added installation tips. Don't WASTE Your time going anywhere else, You have found the BEST!!

After having our house exterior painted we realized our beat up, old garage door needed replacing. We asked a few people if they could recommend a company to replace our garage door and heard loads of horror stories ranging from inferior products to hidden costs. We got a couple of quotes and Canadian Door Doctor was by far the most reasonable. No hidden costs, the price quoted was what we paid and the door looks great. Due to covid our garage door took quite some time to come in after ordering, which we didn’t mind as it wasn’t an emergency. It was well worth the wait!! Lenny & Matt from Canadian Door Doctor came to do the installation and they were so professional, efficient, and tidy- taking the time to answer questions, explain the warranty and for those who are nervous about covid- both gentlemen wore their masks the entire time- even though they were working outside. Very happy with the service provided, the product and value. Great job!!

I had a major issue with my garage door and opener. The metal plate on the door that the opener attached to had broken off and in fact had broken in two. I called a few garage door businesses in St Catharines but couldn't find anyone who had the part. I spoke to "Bridget" at Canadian Door Doctor in Niagara Falls and discovered that the metal plate in question is part of the door at manufacture and is not available as a replacement part. She told me to bring the broken part in and they would do what they could. Long story short; they welded the broken part together (for no charge) and found a similar part that was macgyvered to be used together for the repair. I now have a functioning garage door opener. Bridget and the gentleman who helped were both great to deal with. I won't hesitate to do business with them in the future if needed.

He patiently explained to us what had to be done in order to update our garage door and what we could expect to happen the day of the installation. Excellent service right from the start. On Sunday my cable broke on my garage door. A quick call to their after hours service and a very helpful Carl walked me through how to get my car out of the garage. They fit me in as soon as they could. A very friendly Jonas came to fix it up. I appreciated that he took extra time to check everything, align the door and adjust the springs and lubricate everything. Well worth the cost of the service call. I highly recommend this company. The trim on my brand new garage door (two years old) was coming loose.I called Canadian Door Doctor. The individual came out and told me "yes, it was done incorrectly. We will be out next week to replace". Please note, I am in a brand new house (two years old). I never heard back. I called and after numerous arguments in which I became very heated and numerous phonecalls, I was told I would have to pay for a new seal as the two year contract had expired in the summer. When I explained I had not been in the house for two full years, I was told the contract started when it was installed, not when I moved in and the contract was with the builder. The builder was not going to help me with the problem or the cost. I paid for a new trim. When the two workers came out to install, I asked why the seal only lasted two years and was told it was not installed correctly. It was done too tightly. That was my point exactly. Contract or no contract, the job was not done correctly from the very beginning and I had noticed it only by luck, looking up at the corner of my garage. I gave them one star because I got a "discount". I really thought this family owned business would do better. I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I received. Shame on them.

I am happy with the job they have done with our new garage door. Sales person gave us plenty of options, and was able to quote us on the spot. The install team was fantastic, and the door looks great. Only thing to nitpick was that we were unaware that the carriage style door for our size of our door comes in a three panel wide design. This means that the installer could not center the carriage handles on the door without putting it on the recessed pattern of the door, which would have looked funny. So we ended up leaving them off.

Fantastic service! First we had a fella come by for an assessment of our garage door needs. Then Jonas was here today, and that guy is amazing! He was honest, pleasant, and knowledgeable. He told me not to waste money doing things that didn't need to be done. When does that ever happen? Pretty much never. He did the necessary work, and he was faster than I expected. What a guy, what a company! I'm telling everyone to go to Canadian Door Doctor. Whenever we need garage door stuff done, I'm calling these guys again. Terrific company that won't rip you off :)

Check out your drivers on a recent "Dashcam Lessons" video on YouTube. It is the first clip in the video posted Jan 23rd around 12pm. Your drivers/employees can be seen creating reckless, obscene and dangerous situations on the highway. If this is how they act on the street no way they're gonna come into my house. Would not recommend.

My 8"x16" double wide heavy wooden sectional garage door broke a side lifting cable while opening effectively holding my car hostage inside the garage until the door could be repaired. I called and spoke to Sandy who quickly realized my situation. She rearranged their daily work schedule to accommodate me. Carl and Kevin arrived early the next morning and had my garage door repaired and operating within the hour. They were friendly, quick and professional.
