I became a patient just after we both moved to the city in 1989. He's been an outstanding doctor during my tenure with him. Takes as much time as possible to get to know his patients and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure they are always getting top shelf service. Unfortunately, he is retiring this year and will be sorely missed. He was an incredible boon to the medical community in Kitchener-Waterloo for many years and I for one will miss him greatly. I wish him well on a much deserved retirement.

The change in hours has been a huge inconvenience, I feel as If the hours are insufficient for the amount of patients Dr.Lang has accumulated.

A lazy doctor who doesn't keep sufficient patient record. After coughing for more than 4 months, this guy gave my mom his typical prescription of cough syrup. It wasn't until my mom reminded him of her medical history that he gave her a referral to a specialist (who found out she needed more than just cough syrup, unsurprisingly). Separately, a year ago, I was told that he had lost all record of me being a patient there when I tried to book an appointment for the first time in 5 years. His assistant (who was quite rude tbh) told me I'm supposed to visit him every year so that they won't lose my record. It didn't matter that I was healthy and didn't need him during that time - I had to look for another family doctor. If patients are responsible for diagnosis and maintaining their own medical records, I don't know what he's good for...

Dr Lang has been our Family Doctor for many years , his practice has absorbed more patients and its challanging to get in sometimes, however he does his best to accommodate all those that he can..

Dr.Lang has been my family doctor for 25+ years, I'm very comfortable with him and trust him quite well. With that being said I have definitely seen a steady decline in the quality of treatment over the past decade. I've been told I'm only allowed to ask so many questions per visit now, which is absolutely ridiculous. Dr.lang himself has never stopped me from asking questions, but my appointments are definitely rushed and have been for many years. I understood that when I was in my twenties and healthy as an ox, but now creeping into my 40's I have issues that need to be discussed and explained. Most times I show up about 10 min before my appointment, but it seems that every time I end up waiting 25 min after my scheduled appointment before getting in to see the doctor, then I'm literally only with the doctor for what seems like 3-5 minutes before I'm out the door. As for office assistant, there is actually two assistants. One who has been working with dr.lang for many many years, the other is fairly new (past 5-10 years). I'm not going to mention names but the senior assistant (blonde hair, light complextion) can be quite rude and ignorant, whenever I'm there she's on the phone with friends talking about her last or upcoming weekends, and seems to have no sympathy for the doctors patients whatsoever. The junior of the two (dark hair, darker complextion), has been nothing but a sweetheart, super friendly and has even gone out of her way on her days off to gather information and speak to me about my health both as a messenger from the doctor and from her own personal experiences, I have nothing but good things to say about her. The hours are atrocious and its usually a week to a week and a half before any chance of getting in to see the doctor. As a side note, my mother who has also been a long time patient had been going for tests for diabetes but never heard anything back, 6 months later another doctor had mentioned her diabetes and stunned her, she went back to Dr Lang confirm this and it was confirmed at that time. She stays home all day everyday on ODSP and she never got a phone call about the results of her blood tests...what...the...hell? That is unprofessional and a blatant disregard for a patients health. Extremely unacceptable.

Getting an appointment with dr. Lang is very difficult when the secretary he has doesn't answer his phone and when she finally does she act very rude and give attitude towards his patients.

Dr. Lang was an amazing doctor that I have had for years. I will always be greatful for all the times he was there for me. He's retired now & I miss him greatly. Good luck Dr.Lang & enjoy the retirement life.
