REVIEWS OF Dr. Edward Martins IN Waterloo

Since my previous doctor retired, Dr. Edward Martins had taken over his clients and then since moved his practice out to the far end of Waterloo. Since his move out there I have called to try and book appointments when I’ve been sick or for other things and the phone line just disconnects, or it is answered and I’m hung up on immediately. I always have to resort to going to walk in clinics over the past few years. I’m looking for a new family doctor.

Dr. Martin's has been a great doctor to me ever since his take over several years back!

I truly love the Dr’s at this location I have had some positive wonderful experiences. What I have a huge huge problem with is their administrative staff. I am not sure if they don’t want to hire reliable informative qualified individuals or if they are just being given horrible administrative representatives. Dr. Martin office is by far the worse except for the Lady brought by Michaels Casey’s Office. All the other administrative people are rude, and purposely avoid answering the phone as I witness on September 13, 2021. I honestly can sit there all day trying to figure out what it is exactly their job requires because I never see them take action. When it comes to office procedures or phone etiquette, I have sat in the waiting room while they are talking instead of answering the phone. Then the phone does eventually get answered, its always in my one year of being a patient started with “PLEASE HOLD”. Does anyone else have this problem? It is so disappointing. They really need some better staff on board. IT MIGHT BE MORE MONEY BUT OH LORD WOULD IT EVER HELP YOUR REPUTATION!

Dr. Martins is a great doctor! He was able to diagnose a rare condition when other doctors I’ve seen could not. He takes the time to listen and follow up on concerns, and has even called me late in the evenings to give results and check in. You have to wait at times to be seen, but the care is exemplary and worth the wait.
