My 90 year old mom recommended DL's for a mid morning snack and tea. Great place! She had a nice light roast coffee, I had a Chai latte. We shared a rich and wonderful date square and a delightful butter pecan tart. They were playing the Ramones at just the right level. I wish I could have shown you my mom tapping and nodding, enjoying the whole experience, but she hates getting her photo taken. This place has a vibe that could easily be found in a bigger city café but the staff is so much nicer! Keep up the good work!

Not sure what all the hype is about. We were one of the first customers to arrive. The customer service was great but the coffee didn’t seem to taste fresh and they weren’t serving breakfast. A little disappointed given all the positive reviews.

The folks who work at Doktor Luke's are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Oh, and the beverages? Beyond delicious. Prefer decaf? No problem- not a drop of flavour will be sacrificed. All of the milk options- dairy, almond, oat, etc. It's been just an all-around great experience time and again.

TLDR: Best coffee for espresso drinks in Sydney, not the best coffee you'll ever have if you've already been spoiled with near perfect coffee. The most consistent good espresso based coffee you'll get in the Sydney area. Depending on the barrista and time of day you visit your coffee quality will vary, but for the most part it's good. Unfortunately being spoiled by all the great coffee shops in Halifax and the fierce competition for good coffee and because of that I have to say I can't give them more than 4 stars because otherwise I'd be showing bias. Other than the coffee the staff are very friendly and the café is a rather nice environment on the inside, albeit a tad dimly lit.

They have wonderful coffee and a clean comfy seating. As well as the environment is friendly. I suggest grab a delicious coffee from them and brunch at the mermaid (they share the building & seating). Amazing combo and you get the best from both ends!

Went there to study while I was waiting for my daughter downtown. Expensive and my cappuccino wasn’t very good. Super big space and spacious coffee shop that but in a busy part of Sydney. Everybody was loud in there and seemed to be a place people like to do meetings and small get togethers. Not my cup of coffee, if you know what i’m saying.

Updated review 2019: Under new ownership, and combined with the neighboring restaurant, Dr Lukes has earned the additional star to get to 5 stars. After 3 years of deep daily contemplation, I've decided that the early closing hours should not be calculated in the star rating. The owners should consider staying open until 8 to increase business and provide evening refuge to entrepreneurs and creatives that want to work outside of the home. Original review 2016: Great new location, but loses a star because it closes at 5. Wentworth Perk is at least open until 8. Great selection of speciality drinks, European sodas and coffee. Lots of seating, free wifi and friendly staff.

One of my favourite stops when visiting CB. Super friendly staff and even better coffee (if that’s even possible)! Have to say I miss the piano from a few years ago but I’m sure it had seen better days!! Make sure you sit outside if it’s a nice day. You won’t regret it! Already missing my morning latte.

This little coffee shop with attached bakery is a gem. Quick service where the lady behind the counter seemed to know everyone's name and the usual order. No loud music to detract from your conversations. The clientele were surprising upbeat themselves , not what you usually see in the early morning coffee line. My iced latte was delicious and well prices.

Although this coffee shop is only a few years old, it's already established itself as a downtown landmark. It's a must visit. The staff here treat you like family as soon you walk in.
