Dr. Pearce is not a doctor to seek if you have any concerns with mental health. He has refused to get me a psychiatrist after being referred one by my licensed therapist after disclosing thoughts of suicide. Dr. Pearce is very much pushing of the medical views which is fair because he is a doctor, but it is 2021 and we have been trying to end the stigma around mental health for how long? This can start with people in a position of authority. While a patient with him and the history of mental health within my family and personal life, he put me on medication which made a decrease in my mental state(which is what the referral to the psychiatrist was implemented for) and after knowledge of this, he continued up doses or switched medication without any psychological evaluation. I have since switched doctors and gotten the help that I need. I am not the only patient that I have heard this concern with, just the only one willing to speak up about it. During this pandemic I have heard of patients seeking a leave of absence due to job burn out, in which Dr. Pearce responded with a medication prescription rather than approving a week of leave to rest and recharge. Other than the mental health aspect, Dr.Pearce will get you any medical exam or medication.

Dr. Pearce is a great family doctor! He keeps his appointments so I rarely have to wait more than ten minutes plus he's thorough and personable. No complaints whatesoever. The office is also nicely decorated, which is pleasant (though not necessary).

This very new clinic is taking advantage of clients in a small town imposing a “no show fee” without a pre-appointment reminder to patients who they booked appointments few weeks/month in advance (of course people forget especially if they have busy life!) And to mention also that their receptionist is also rude! I’ve been to a lot of clinics (dentist, optometrist, chiropractor) and my experiences with them are great and they are very friendly (not to mention they do reminder calls because they’ve hired smart, friendly and considerate receptionist/s) until after what I experienced with this newly opened clinic is so dissappointing! The doctors here are native so they should understand more the situation of their native land and be more wary about their management that it is better to rely on preventative rather than punitive measures to ensure patients show up for their appointments! Pls brief your receptionist about this or if not, maybe just get a better one!

The first time I met Dr Pearce was in the ER at NGH in Simcoe. August 2018 I called an ambulance to my residence early afternoon because my wife had signs of a stroke. The paramedics arrived and assessed her as possible overdose. I tried to explain to the paramedics that she is not a user and they ignored me. I arrived at the ER and seen Dr Pearce trying to get answers from my wife as to what she was doing that morning. My wife could speak but had really no sense of surroundings and couldn’t answer simple questions. I told him she sneezed and said owe my head. He then demanded she had a CT scan . This is what started the longest day of my life. Dr Pearce found the bleeding in my wife’s brain aneurism and immediately sent her to Hamilton General where she had her surgery by another great Doctor. My family and I are so grateful that Dr Pearce was in that ER that day. When other professionals were assuming drugs and or alcohol were involved his professional experience and or instinct told him to be sure with a simple CT scan. I would definitely recommend Dr Pearce to any family .Once my Doctor retires I will definitely ask him to take on our Family Thanks again Dr Pearce.
