I went into this clinic for the first time the other day the staff was great it's clean everyone is friendly I didn't feel rushed by the Dr. As that usually happens in walk in clinics I felt like she actually cared and helped tremendously.

Dr. Leung is a great physician. He's knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to address patients concerns. Unfortunately the reception staff are incompetent. I work in healthcare so I have realistic expectations. They try to hurry through phone calls stating "I'm busy". This is disrespectful and unprofessional. I moved and since changed family physicians. When my new doctor's office called to obtain my records they were told by Dr. Leung's reception that they have no record of my being a patient (untrue - when I called they admitted this error). I hope Dr. Leung reads this review and can provide some guidance to the reception staff.

This is the best clinic I’ve been. Dr. Jerry is really patiently and responsible for his patient . English not my first language he been patiently explain explained to me. And the pharmacist Brent is so nice !! He told me how to use the medicine very detailed.

I went here on Monday to get a breast lump checked out, and had a terrible experience. The doctor asked me to describe what it looked like, but would not examine it, because he "doesn't do that." What kind of doctor attempts a medical diagnosis without examining the patient?! There was no female doctor on staff that day, so I went to a different walk-in clinic. Waste of time.

I really am happy that there is such a great Family Practice Medical clinic a very short walk from my home. I have visited this clinic twice now the first time just to register as a new patient, and ended up getting my flu shot). Both times I visited I was seen straight away and the Dr. was very helpful and thorough. The relaxed professional atmosphere and cleanliness is evident as soon as you enter the front door. The lighting is good, and the reception, office area and pharmacy are spotlessly clean. I had a prescription filled on my second visit and the service was second to none. I am very happy I found this clinic right near my home and I will be using it often as needed.As a side note i was at Metro pharmacy talking to the pharmacist there and she asked who my family Dr was and when I told her she had nothing but good things to say about the Dr's there. They also offer blood and lab services I think I saw on a sign in the office.

I went in to request a bloodwork done from Dr. Hong but only got the cholesterol and H1ac done. I went back a second time to try and explain to her that we would like the full bloodwork done since it has been years since the last one, and she said they don't practice that in this clinic. She kept repeating herself and acting like the victim even after my wife tried to explain that my health condition is not in its best shape. WORST OF ALL, she had the nerve to ASSUME that based on my age, I shouldn't need anything tested, despite it being years since my last physical. She even went on to try and prove that since my wife's tests were fine, it was probably true that mine were too. What doctor assumes their patient is fine based on their AGE and family members?! She reluctantly gave a second bloodwork form to us, but it was still incomplete and not all the tests requested were checked! She was expectionally rude to my wife and didn't even listen to what we were saying. Highly inexperienced when caring for a patient's physical being. I am leaving this doctor because she doesn't give me a sense of comfort and hope a patient's health does not fail due to her assumptions.

This clinic is very reliable and convenient! I never had to wait for a long time. There are multiple doctors available so the clients can be seen in a timely manner. The pharmacy is located five steps away from the clinic too, so very convenient to pickup prescription meds! Ive been coming here for 3 years now and I would recommend this to anyone seeking medical advise.

Our family doctor is ms. Hong and we are very satisfied with her. However, we had to walk in with another doctor(as ms. Hong was not present that day) as our child came back sick from school. The other male doctor was not at all happy to treat and instructed us not to do any walk in like that anymore. This is really surprising as we called the clinic before going there and they said it's ok. Hope this won't repeat again.

We had our first visit to this clinic last week. The customer service with the reception was quite nice, quick and no lineup. They arranged Dr. Hong for my wife and my 4 years old kid, the doctor seemed very busy and impatient, she actually complained that we have asked her too many questions. My kid has suffered from running nose and urinary problems (UTI?), we didn't get any answers but got simply her complaints. So maybe we should have paid 2 visits for 2 problems for my kid, right? Somehow, she can find a way to earn more money for one question one visit, she should raise a challenge to the Ontario health system. Unbelievable, I don't know how could she pass the code of ethics as being a doctor...

DO NOT go to this place for anything ear-related. My wife came here a few weeks ago for impacted earwax, Progress said they could do ear cleaning. As an uninsured person there were limited walk-in options, and reviews seemed good. On the first procedure, they had an untrained tech admit they had never done an ear cleaning before. They scraped the inside of her ears horribly and did not remove the impacted wax. Because the first procedure was done incorrectly, my wife went back to try again. This time a doctor (I believe a stand-in for one of the primary doctors) did the procedure and claimed the right ear was clear and left ear only had a bit left that she couldn't get when she was done. However, my wife was left in excruciating pain and got no relief. We decided to shell out the $ to go to an actual audiologist, who did the procedure PROPERLY. Turns out the Progress doctor irrigated prior to scraping which only resulted in further impaction and a nasty middle ear infection. The right ear which the doctor said was clear was also fully impacted. This means the doctor is either incompetent or simply lied to my wife. Now we have to pay even more for antibiotics to clear up the infection that Progress caused. I wish we knew the name of the doctor so we could report this gross negligence to CPSO. REVIEW UPDATE: Ended up taking a chance on Progress again for a subsequent visit/different issue. The staff were friendly and helpful and the wait time was basically non-existent. The doctor was polite and attentive. However I still cannot give a higher rating due to our highly unpleasant first experience.

Dr. Leung will dismiss your problem and complete a diagnosis within 5 minutes to get you out of the room. His tone is condescending and unprofessional making you seem out of your mind for seeing a doctor. After waiting for over an hour, we left with no helpful information or care. Dr. Leung told us multiple times "I wouldn't know I wasn't there when this happened"....should I have invited a doctor to join my plans so when an accident happens, he'll be there to know what happened? What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say. This alone should be proof enough of his "professionalism". Save your time, go somewhere else.

My first choice when my family doctor is not available. The service is fast and efficient. The doctor, reception, and even the pharmacist are all nice. I can get my test result quicker than I'm doing it with my family doctor. Waiting time for the walk in is acceptable. Nice place, clean ans tidy. Recommend it if you are looking for walk in service.

My boyfriend and I moved to the area recently so had to look for a new family doctor. I called a couple of clinics nearby; almost all the receptionists were very rude - except for this one. The receptionist was courteous and answered the phone professionally. We went to the clinic today - very clean and bright. Dr Hong (the lady family doctor) was nice and knowledgeable. The wait time was decent (around 15min). It is in a plaza with plenty of parking space.

I went there for some blood test, the first nurse missed the injection, and they turned to do blood test on my the other arm. And the second nurse turned his head back and talked with the first nurse while holding the injector on my arm, which caused the niddle went out and blood came out as well. I don't ubderstand why this place could have a 4 star. Then 2 monthes passed away, they haven't contacted me providing my test report. Until today, it took me about 10mins wait to get my report result while on phone.

Progress centre medical is a hidden gem! It’s conveniently located in a plaza with tonnes of parking. There’s doctor office in the same location which makes it super convenient. Decor is modern and the place feels really bright and clean. Staffs are super knowledgeable and professional. I noticed that they even have free medicine delivery service for the same night, when they drop off your prescription by a certain time. That’s a very nice touch especially for those whose not feeling well and just want to head home after doctor’s visit instead of waiting for prescription to be filled. I would have given Progress centre medical 6 stars if possible!

As a walk-in originally and now a registered patient, my husband has never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen by Dr. Jerry Leung and was treated with knowledgeable and conscientious service. Worst experience ever. The medical results were in but they didn’t tell us until I called. After that they scheduled me with a doctor for the morning and when I called them they said doctor is not here so call in tomorrow. After talking to the doctor, she asked to re run the test. Avoid if you can.

In all my years of living in Canada, this is the worst experience I've had at a doctor's office. Meeting with Dr Melina Hong was a scarring encounter. We went in to get our newborn son vaccinated at 1 pm on Saturday, February 3rd. I was impressed that the facility was modern, there was no wait, the receptionist was friendly and we were seen immediately. Dr Hong barged in without introducing herself, and when we told her our request for staggering vaccines she pedantically questioned our choice for our child. The irony is - she could not recall the vaccines in the combination herself. Once she left the room my wife and I immediately decided this was not someone we wanted to vaccinate our child. Upon her return, she rudely continued to discourage our decision and asked questions that were completely irrelevant. She proceeded to rush through the generic questions on the form she was filling out, although didn't care to hear our answers. With all that being said, we were drawn to this clinic because of the great reviews, which I now question their validity. We cannot speak about other healthcare practitioners at this clinic, but overall we were grossly disappointed with how we were treated by Dr Hong. Ultimately, the whole experience with Dr Hong was uncomfortable. She was callous and uncompassionate. I will never return nor recommend this doctors office to anyone.

My family and I got into touch with progress medical clinic to get support and gynac's referral for my pregnancy. Dr. Melina Hong was very friendly and supportive during those few visits. Later during another emergency, we came back to the clinic and were treated by Dr. Jerry as Dr. Hong was away. We really liked him as well and finally were able to find a good, competent family doctor for our newly expanded family. He is very knowledgable and competent. The medical staff (nurses, lab assistants, receptionists) at the clinic is also friendly and strive to provide timely and prompt services.

Reception is kind and welcoming, though Dr. consultation one of the worst I've ever had. I felt rushed, talked down to and that my concerns were made up. I as ask if I had a drug plan numerous times during consultation, and even commended for having on. In addition I was asked what I want him to do...last time I checked I did not have a medical license that is why I am at the Dr. The whole consultation felt like was stuck in a rotating door, and I was not fast enough to keep up.

This is the worst place I have ever been to in my life. I had tonsillitis on labour day and I went there today at noon. As soon as I go in the receptionist asks me for my health card and I give it to her but unfortunately it’s the red and white one. She says I have to get a new one. I say ok I will. Then she says I cannot see a doctor unless I give her 40 dollars. I don’t understand why 40 dollars and where that 40 dollars would go. I am now in deep pain and I cannot speak or swallow. A good dr’s office would tell me that they would allow it one time and for me to go get the new health card after. I told her I might die if this gets worst as my condition is horrible and has been for years. She smiled at me. I have been mad about this all day and I don’t think a place like this should continue to be open. I have to go to work in this state tomorrow and I am absolutely dying of pain. I feel the holocaust had better service then these guys.

Always, always have such a great experience here. They are so understanding and willing to give you what you need. They take the time to listen and try to narrow down to what’s really going on with you. I always feel confident when going back and they tell you to come back to check up. Doesn’t really feel like a walk in clinic, they really act as if they are your family doctor. Dr.leung is who I usually go in to see and he’s just the best. The pharmacist is so nice and is willing to hear out your situation instead of just handing you the meds. Every time he gives you your medication he thoroughly explains how to use it and when it’s best not to. I highly recommend this place. Recently it’s been getting quite busy but the wait is worth it!

I came in just now, on a busy Sunday afternoon, 1.5 hrs before close. Dr. Jerry and his team are so professional, efficient and compassionate. Im a new walk-in patient and it only took a minute to fill in their new patient form. The two women at the front desk are professional and communicative. I was seen in 45 mins which is incredibly quick for any walk-in. Dr. Jerry is extremely efficient, understanding and friendly. It was easy to talk to him, he understood all of my symptoms, and was quick to give me a prescription. To make this even better, their pharmacy is in the same unit, so I didn't have to drive to the nearest shoppers drug mart. I might have to switch my family doctor to this clinic, as they have an outstanding team, they follow COVID restriction rules, and they are so efficient. Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you Dr. Jerry and team!

Came there for a bug bite on my face. That has been causing swelling and gradually getting worse and worse affecting my eyes and nose and skin. Nurse was more concerned. Even though I walked in I was expecting to wait long cause there are other people with appointments which I understood. Doctor came in for two minutes said it was a cluster of pimples, asked to pop it, and gave me antibiotics and left. She rushed the whole thing didn’t ask me questions properly just walked in and said cluster of pimples that is causing the swelling on the whole right side of my face. Update: Turns out I was allergic to what bit me. I took allergy pills and the swelling went down. Did not take the antibiotics they gave me cause the one of the side effects was swelling.

Horrible service, extremely rude and simply did not care hanging up phones mid speech. Gina, and Vivian both have been horrible receptionists, ignoring calls and declining anything they can and need to be fired immediately. Unprofessional and extremely rude. Edit: Brent (Through the online chatting service) however was able to push the two representatives at the front desk to actually do their job. Our conversation was not only respectful, but he sincerely tried to solve the issue (given that it was the receptionists' tasks in the first place). He's the reason I've lifted this experience from a 1 star.

I took my 4 year old son in as a walk in, we have never been to this clinic before. I was concerned about my sons breathing because he has been wheezing lately. Anyway, it wasn’t a long wait, we go into the room and waited for the doctor. We had Dr. Leung, my 4 year old loves seeing doctors so he was a little excited. My son sat on the bed and the doctor pointed his finger at him and said “sit” “don’t move” like he was a dog. As he was checking my son, my son was very cooperative. When the doctor was explained my sons diagnosis, my son was a little agitated only because he wasn’t feeling well. Then the Dr looked at my son very strangely and asked me if we have a history of ADHD and I looked at him and said and he said because my son is a “naughty boy” I was very offended. He then asked me if he had behavioral issues. It was out of no where. My son is a 4 year old boy, he going to touch everything because he is a very curious kids. I thought it was very unprofessional of him. He did not know how to care for kids at all. I just took my prescription and just left because I could not believe what just happened.

Worst Experience! Dr. Jerry Leung is extremely unprofessional, rude and uncompassionate. As per the other comments made, he dismissed my health problem to ask me ‘if I have a psychiatrist’...he was Quick to close the door on me when he had no experience dealing with my medical concern so he wanted nothing to do with me. Very impatient, abusive, condescending, uncaring, insulting and completely unprofessional. I was shocked how rude he was toward me, I’m quite sorry for anyone else who has experienced that when you are vulnerable and only trying to seek help. I have read other comments stating he had done the same..seems like he has a tendency to elude you have mental health problems and likes closing the door quickly to get to the next person $$$. On top of everything he did, he had the ODACITY to say to me that ‘he can not communicate with me, and not to come back here again’. A comment that I have read SEVERAL times in these reviews, one of which reviews has about 22 likes..which is pretty much the most liked post meaning that others can relate. I am also clearly not the only one here who has got the ‘psychiatry’ or mental health comment. Seems like he has serious mental issues himself because of how many lives he’s negatively affected in abusing his patients. Why is he still at this clinic with all of these concerns it only speaks to how corrupt this clinic is.....All about the money and people are treated like customers, no genuine compassion or care..wealthcare not healthcare. When you walk into a walk-in clinic you expect to receive help and to have knowledgable, caring doctors to support your needs. We all pay for healthcare with our tax dollars, it’s great that people are here to speak up against this doctor . I would HIGHLY suggest asking to see someone else if you go happen to go to this clinic...all these reviews speak for them self...

I love Dr.Hong! I started seeing her when I became pregnant with my son. She’s always very kind and explains everything. As a new mom, I worry a lot but she reassures me and keeps me calm. I also like that the clinic is quick and everyone is very competent.

My experiences with the doctors and from this clinic has always been awesome except today as i call back for my specialist appointment the receptionist was rude. Conversations through the phone are often difficult and how would you expect someone to capture all information when you speak fast? I've requested to repeat the information and she responded back "this is the 3rd time" before repeating the information. Was this eve necessary? Also soon as I replied with a Thank You she hang up the phone immediately. Being in front of the clinic and first person to respond to phone call her attitude is totally unacceptable. If you are too busy to answer patient inquiries please ask patients to hold on or call back. I normally do not leave feedbacks like this but this experience was totally uncomfortable for me.

Here in Canada for a few months as a visitor. Found this Dr by chance and have so far been twice and a follow up visit for an injection. They don't charge a rip off price like most clinics in Toronto. Receptionist was great, saw Dr Leung. I was assessed by some sort of assistant (trainee Dr?) first then saw Dr Leung. After i explained my complex situation which basically came down to me needing to get appropriate meds (I have spinal injuries top middle and bottom, plus an autoimmune disorder which causes widespread inflammation etc). Dr Leung gave me a full neurological assessment and has helped me to improve slightly upon my UK prescription, and treated me for a very painful shoulder bursitis which caused me to be unable to lift even a bottle of milk. My quality of day to day life has genuinely improved, and I am able to be more productive professionally. He gave a lot of time to me, listened carefully, and treated me for my shoulder better than a specialist clinic in London UK did. I obtained a copy of my GP records and gave them in here so he is my Dr away from home now. And i am a nightmare of a patient who will argue every little thing with my Drs, yet I had no need to with this warm, friendly and very professional and knowledgeable one, so read into that as a full thumbs up for this clinic and Dr!

Dr. Jerry, the staff and the pharmacist at Progress Centre Medical are so friendly and helpful. To be honest, it’s the most quick doctor visits I have every time I go. Long exhausting wait times don’t exist here! It’s always so easy to get an appointment and they are quick to deal with walk-ins. Dr. Jerry is Very informative and makes an effort to be as helpful as he possibly can be towards his patients. The pharmacist is also extremely nice, helpful and prompt to answer emails, should you have any questions about prescriptions! Definitely recommend both the doctor and pharmacist!

What a negative experience I had here! Dr. Leung was very dismissive and seemed to be uninterested in assisting and diagnosing my medical issue. When I was explaining my symptoms to him he laughed at me and replied, "do you have mental health problems? Are you seeing a psychiatrist?" Lol. I assure you all I do not have any mental health issues, just concerned with my personal physical health. Shortly after, he got up stormed out of the room leaving me on the chair saying "go find another doctor I cannot help you". How unprofessional. Seems to me that this doctor is only interested in assisting in easy medical issues such as simply prescribing a drug instead of welcoming a challenge. It seems like he does not enjoy his job. If Dr. Leung reads this, I say to you sir, consider another profession. Being a doctor requires dealing with actual people, which demands people skills. The fact that there is no line up is a direct correlation to their poor service. (The clinic was empty when I came). Will not recommend this clinic to anyone, ever.

I don’t usually write reviews but this one was a must. WORST walk in clinic I’ve ever encountered. Dr Jerry Leung is the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending doctors I ever came across. He banned us from ever coming back to the office because we were simply on our phones. We stayed back for a bit to ask him why we were banned for this reason and he told us a completely different reason. He said because we weren’t his family doctor and because they only take walk-ins ( when we were fully walk-ins) He then proceeded to tell us if we don’t leave within 5 minutes he will call the police to escort us out. We were very shocked and confused as to why he would call the police when all we wanted was an explanation. He then started to wave bye to us in a mocking way. Please please please please save yourself a trip from coming to this clinic.

They respect people time. Wonderful and quick service. Even without appointment I never wait more then 30 mins. All the doctors are so cordial, quick and helpful. And seven days a week doctors are available which is really appreciated. They do have blood pathology services which is another advantage, so we don’t have to go other place and wait for appointment for blood test and pharmacy start doing delivery which is wonderful. This is like all in one place. I recommend.

**Amazing experience** I went in as a walk in, on a public holiday, expecting to wait hours, in a crowded waiting room like most walk in clinics. But I did not have to wait at all. Dr. Leung, is super friendly and easygoing, doesn't rush you. He has the type of persona that puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable to talk to. Takes the time to explain everything to you in a way you can understand. I was extremely impressed. Gave me a script for my ailment, had it filled at the pharmacy in the clinic, only took a few minutes. The pharmacist was super nice, and quick (unlike Shoppers Drug Mart). This was the best experience I ever had at a doctor's office, not to mention a walk in clinic. I highly recommend this place!

Dr. Jerry Man Bok Leung (CPSO#: 110507) is the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending doctor I’ve ever come across. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this clinic at all times. The service we received was appalling and we were informed that Dr. Jerry is the owner of the place, which blew my mind even more. To make a long story short, my partner and I were accompanying her pregnant cousin to assess her trouble breathing. Three minutes into the assessment, we were asked to leave the assessment room because we were looking down at our phones. After the cousin’s assessment was completed, Dr. Jerry told her that the three of us were BANNED from the entire clinic. After waiting to speak to the doctor, he was very dismissive — LITTLE to NO eye contact — and told us that the reason why we were banned was because Dr. Jerry is not the cousin’s family doctor. Furthermore, he threatened us by threatening to call the police if we don’t leave the premises. As we are accompanying a pregnant woman, we left to further avoid any of the stress he put on her via this whole experience. After reading further reviews, it seems that Dr. Jerry is famous in giving walk-in patients a ban. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the CPSO and we hope action is taken. This place is ridiculous. I don’t know how Dr. Jerry acquired his licence to practice, but it needs to be revoked. Please, stay away from this place. Go to another clinic because no one deserves to be treated the way we were treated today.

I have been to clinic for ear wax removal and then instead of ear wax removal that is covered under health card they proceeded with paid 25 dollars option. Moreover doctor has not checked ear first and only a person they called clinic manager checked and tell we only do ear flush. I felt cheated and misrepresented as they smartly pushed customers towards paid options only and not explaining clearly problem and all the options patients have. Recommendation: Please check with other nearby walk-in clinics about options once before paying here.

With the exception of the incredible pharmacists, receptionists and nurses at this medical centre, the doctors at this clinic are amongst the worst my family has ever dealt with. My parents have gone to this clinic in a few emergency circumstances, and each time they've had a poor experience. In fact, today, my mother went in to the clinic to see Dr. Leung due to muscle pain in her hand, to which she received an improper injection in the incorrect vein, resulting in sudden bruising and numbness throughout her hand. Dr. Leung proceeded to apologize for his mistake and then injected her again with anti-inflammatory medicine to dissipate the swelling. After leaving his office, my mother turned to the in-house pharmacist for further assistance because of the degree of pain she was in. The pharmacists have always been so caring, warm and attentive, and he immediately applied numbing cream to her hand. However, my mother is still going through unbelievable amounts of pain, which was preventable had the doctor been more thorough. Beyond this, Dr. Hong and Dr. Leung have repeatedly been unpleasant and patronizing to deal with, and I will ensure that my parents never visit this clinic again. I highly discourage folks from visiting this clinic.

Went there today, staff was polite and very helpful. The place is very clean. The only 2 cons were the long wait time, which isn't really their fault, as they had lots of patients, and their debit card machine only accepts tap, which I disabled on my card, but there is an ATM close by, so it was no major inconvenience. I went to see the doctor for chronic back pain and tingling and numbness in m feet and arm. Each time the doctor asked the same questions, he asked me to do xrays and never called back when got the report, went there again to follow up and asked again the same questions he had already asked and this time he said there was nothing to do, because that pain is very common and not enough to investigate, how can you have pain for over a year and be normal? and simply say is normal!!?? I insisted and so he refereed me to a doctor, the appointment was not for another 3 months and the doctor office didn't even pick up the phone to confirm the appointment so I asked to refer me to another doctor, I gave the receptionists all the information and told me he was going to fax the referral, I called 2 days later to confirm and this other lady May on the counter told me the referral was not done and literally hang up on my 2 because she didn't know anything about it and didn't want to look up the information. Terrible service! lack of experience. Do not recommend this place at all.

Dr Leung would not know compassion or good medical care if it bit him in the rear end. After running just two tests, he declared my extensive list of symptoms a result of my being overweight and dismissed the extent of my pain and my concerns. Last time I checked, being overweight does not cause debilitating pain and swelling in the hands and wrists. BEWARE this doctor if you are even an ounce overweight. He will not take you seriously and you will be left suffering.

The doctors here are really nice (especially Dr. Jerry Leung). He was our family doctor since the last 2 years, and we never had trouble getting appointments. Even without appointments the wait times were among the shortest compared to other clinics. We also had wonderful experience with the nurses there efficient and always with a smile on their faces. Recently after moving to a different area we faced some trouble getting ourselves de-enrolled from their system, but Brent (the pharmacist on-site) called us promptly and helped to resolve the issue. I am thankful to Brent, Dr. Leung and his team for their excellent services!

I was too sick to come in unable to leave my bed without throwing up. They have the option to do it all over the phone for those who are too sick to come in. I called 30 minutes after they opened they told me the doctor would call me soon. I called again after 2.5 hours and was told i was next give them 30 minutes and Almost 4 hours go by I call a little upset that i havent been helped and they tell me that its busy and they deal with the people who come in physically over anyone else. Why have the option to do it over the phone for those who are too sick to come in if your gonna automatically put me at the bottom of the list any time someone comes in after i called? Kind of ridiculous that people who are well enough to actually go in get priority over people who are ACTUALLY too sick to come in.... Thanks for nothing bunch of lousey wanna be doctors.

I got my bloodwork done here with Dr. Leung and I was told that I will get my report next day. When I called next day I was told Dr himself will give me a call to explain the report. I waited whole day and never got the call. I called back roughly 15 minutes before there closing and the representative who picked up told me Dr. is not available right now but let me have a look. Then he told me “YOUR REPORT IS NOT AT ALL GOOD AND DOCTOR HIMSELF WILL CALL YOU AND I CANNOT GIVE YOU THE REPORT.” But when I told him that it’s my bloodwork why can’t I get the report. He said he cant help me and Doctor will call me either today or next day. Next day I called same agent picked up and told me doctor is not available. I called back in around 2 hours at 12.30 pm and then he told me some other doctor will call me in around 2 hours. Never got the call. And when I checked on google this clinic closing time was 1 pm. I am tensed from the time he told me that your report is not at all good. I cannot concentrate on anything. I believe I have the right to get access to my own report and fooling the patients like this is not ethical. Either the Doctor is neglecting my call or the representative is messing up. Whatever the reason, I am suffering because of them. Edit: The bloodwork was for my girlfriend K Kaur.

Clean clinic and my go-to if I need to do a walk in. Came here a couple of times and saw Dr. Leung since they opened. Never had an issue and he was always friendly and catered to my medical needs. No long waiting times which is great. Brent, the pharmacist, is super friendly and nice. He will explain all the things you need to know about your medications. I find the receptionist a bit dismissive and rude. She would ask you in front everyone in the waiting area what you are there for - this is private and confidential information. I think the clinic should really stop that type of practice. Other clinics do not ever ask in such a public space.

I liked this walk-in clinic because I felt like they wanted to understand and help me with my medical concerns. I live all the way in West end Toronto but my friend recommended me to this place and believed that I can get the service that I wanted so I gave it a shot. I called them and asked if they were available for new patients, they responded that they are not taking in new patients but I'm welcome to come by for a walk-in check up for my situation when I explained, well that's fine by me so I drove my way to the area. I walked in and filled out forms and already, I was in a waiting room for the doctor. I was astonished y'all like I thought I had to wait a long while like I'm used to with the clinics around my area but I'm already ready to be seen. I explained my situation and thought I had to take a stool test but they gave the alternative for a testing kit I can do at home and gave a prescription. I was in and out of there like within 30 minutes and came out satisfied. Definitely worth coming here for good service.

First time coming to this medical center. Came in around 10 AM and was able to see the doctor and get my prescription all within 20-25 mins. Fast service (maybe because I came a bit early and looked like it was getting busy when I left). Doctor (Leung) was also very friendly and extremely informative and so was the Pharmacist (Brent?). Also very convenient that this center has a female doctor. Center looks very new and is clean. There's also a small little area for children to sit and play. Would definitely come back, and possibly make this place my family doctor.

Receptionist was friendly and respectful both on the phone and in person. However, Dr. Leung was highly unprofessional and dismissive. He walked out of my appointment without addressing or diagnosing my condition. I also didn’t appreciate his tone as it was condescending. He was racist and made remarks about discolouration on people of colour when that had nothing to do with my appointment for my stomach pain and groin area. He seemed like he just wanted me out of the room without examining me. Sorry to say this but Dr.Leung needs to consider another profession as this job is clearly to difficult for him. Right after this waste of time, I went to a nearby clinic where they took their time, tested my urine, blood pressure, and gave me ultrasound and X-ray appointment. Never going back to this clinic cause they only want the money and don’t want to help patients.

Dr. Christopher Lui review I am a 70-year female who never had any major illness until one day I had a hard time getting out of bed, because my upper arms were too weak and sore. All of a sudden, I was facing problems with activities of daily living like dressing myself. Since my family doctor Dr. Hong is on maternity leave, Dr. Christopher Lui at the Progress Clinic diagnosed my case. He checked my joints and asked some pertinent questions. Then he ordered a blood test at the lab right inside the clinic. The very next day he called me about the result of the lab test. Before he prescribed the medication, he checked my medical records and carefully confirmed with me that I did not have any other health issues. He also explained that the medication contained steroids and a plan to wean off would be required. With the right prescription, my condition improved 85% the next day and 95% within the first week of medication. It has been about 2 months. I am close to normal, so far with no relapse, while my dosage is gradually being reduced. Dr. Lui referred me to a rheumatologist so that I can receive the best care from the specialist. I am very appreciative of the prompt and accurate diagnosis from Dr. Lui. I found him very polite, thorough, and prudent. The operation of Progress Clinic is very efficient.

The place is a little chaotic in terms of which room I’m supposed to be in and what I’m supposed to be doing (I stepped out of my room for a urine sample and a new patient immediately took it so I was standing in the hallway with my urine sample unsure of what to do/where to go for a few minutes). I’ve been coming to this practice for a little bit over two years now. The operations of business run very smoothly here and the office is very well kept. I would also say that the administration team is up to the industry standard. They also have a wonderful pharmaceutical team that appears to be passionate about their duty. My only personal drawback about this business is the passion of the two primary doctors, Dr. Leung and Dr. Hong. It’s obvious to me that these two are great human beings, however, I seriously question their passion to work as GPs. I understand that GPs aren’t specialists, but the unwillingness to go deep into certain medical issues is a bit alarming. It seems to me that when it comes to intricate, recurring issues they lack the willingness to dig to the bottom of the barrel. In my own personal case, there have been occurrences where the two primary doctors have undermined the severity of a medical inquiry made on my behalf, causing me to have to deal with medical issues for a longer period of time that could have been treated if it was appropriately addressed during the first consultation. All in all, the business is operating efficiently and they appear to be in the growth stage where they are obtaining new clientele. Unfortunately, due to my experiences with the two primary doctors I will not be coming back to this location. Personally, I believe that Dr. Leung and Dr. Hong could have displayed more empathy towards my medical inquiries. I also believe that they should treat their walk-in clients as if they were clients from their immediate network.

I was on the hunt for a new walk in clinic near our home and Progress Centre Medical came on the first list so I decided to go here. My experience with them is beyond exceptional. I wish I knew about them before. The staff, doctors, and pharmacist are all amazing! The wait time is not that long, the doctor addressed all the concerns I had. It’s amazing too that they have a pharmacy already inside so you wont have to go out and find one anymore. Brent, the pharmacist was very helpful! They already have the medication that I need in stock wc surprised me because from the previous pharmacy that I was getting it, I always have to wait one day because they have to order it. I also asked for Acetaminophen and they gave it to me for free, plus they gave a free rapid antigen test kit! How cool is that? I also love how clean and spacious the place was. The previous clinic that I was going to was so small and crowded. Overall, I’m glad I found this hidden gem. I will definitely be going here from now on for all our medical needs.

This is a great community clinic that is very clean and friendly, helpful staff. It can be busy sometimes and the doctors can be quick, but it makes sense to allow wait times to be reasonable for all patients. Dr. Lui and Dr. Band were very helpful. The pharmacist, Brent, was also very patient and informative upon prescribing medication! The doctor and pharmacist also kindly followed up with me by text on my condition which is above and beyond, and much appreciated!

I was supposed to go to another clinic but then I decided to go instead to Progress Center Medical. I don’t know why, but I am grateful that I trusted my instinct to go to this clinic because I am well taken care of by the medical staffs and Dr. Leung. This clinic really values the time of their patient because with all of my 4 visit with them I only spent 10-20minutes at their clinic. They attend to their patients as quickly as they can. All the staff are nice. They work well and practices professionalism with their job. Aside from that, blood work and vaccinations are not painful when I had it with Gina it just went smoothly. To Dr. Leung, he is a an amazing doctor and he knows what he’s doing and he really shows concern to his patients. I’m so thankful because I knew that I’m in good hands. I came to this clinic on February 28th, 2018. I had a minor medical condition that was causing me pain, which resulted in missing my exam. I came to this clinic once before around 1-2 years ago, i believe Dr.Jerry helped me, he was wonderful. With that being said, i was looking forward to going to this clinic because of the great experience i had before. This time i had a female doctor, her name was Melina I believe. During my visit I thought to myself, since i am here i might as well ask all the questions i need to ask, as my family doctor had been completley booked. After asking 2 questions, I went on to the third, before i could ask the question Melina said “This is the last question you are allowed to ask” Truly i was shocked at the lack of compassion and politeness. Last time i checked, is there a specific rule about how many questions you can ask going to a walk in clinic? My visit was no longer than 5 minutes. She seemed very uninterested in even helping me. Moving on, After i asked my last question, she then answered to it by mentioning, “brown diet” which is completely rude and offensive. I am a Sri Lankan woman, that does not mean people should assume all i eat is rice and curry. To be honest, that was the first time i felt a little racism towards me. I never said anything at that point because i really needed a doctors note to show my prof. After recieving my doctors note, it seemed like there was no effort in the doctors note. I paid 20 dollars for that note which sounded like garbage. Doctors like that woman should not be allowed to speak to people. Yes, you do have a certificate and degree that says you know how to diagnose people, but please do learn how to talk to people. We come to doctors to help us, not make us feel bad. Nonetheless, this clinic is very clean and i think the other doctors are much more helpful like Dr. Jerry. I would not recommend going to that woman ever again.

I went to this walk in clinic as I was referred to see the doctor without any appointment needed. When I first entered the clinic, it was a fairly newly renovated clinic but not a lot of seating. I was asked to fill out a form and was told to be seated in one of them rooms where a man (African Canadian? Sorry if I’m politically incorrect) began asking me some questions about my symptoms. After he finished with some basic testing, he told me the actual doctor would be seeing me soon for my diagnosis. Tbh I wish he was the actual doctor because he was very polite and courteous in speaking to me because when Dr Leung came in, I can feel a negative vibe walking in the door. Dr Leung briefly spoke to me saying I probably have a cold and basically didn’t want to listen to what I had to say afterwards. He kept interrupting me without me voicing my concerns as I tried to respect him as the MD he is. I was then told to leave and when I went next door to pick up my Rx, I was charged $18 for 6 pills and after following doctors orders, I’m even more sick now. Long story short, I’m glad I won’t be going to this clinic anymore unless the African Canadian guy becomes an MD.

I have been feeling extremely under the weather and where I would normally tough it out, I wanted to see if I could get some sort of medical advise/confirmation of whatever I was feeling as I would be hoping on a plane at some point this week. Long story short, front desk receptionist was nice, Dr. Leung was the one to see me and he was extremely knowledgeable in pretty much everything I threw at him (Not that I was testing him but it was really nice to see a doctor that actually listened to your questions and answered them?). If anything, I cut him off a lot of times and he didn't lose his cool or anything, he just let me carry on... for this, I apologize Dr. Leung. Anyhow, he's pretty awesome, and an amazing doctor it seems. I wouldn't hesitate to see him again in the future! Probably my best experience with a walk-in doctor... ever. Then whoever it was that assisted me with my prescriptions afterwards (sorry I never got your name), he was so nice, and so very helpful. He apologized to me for taking long with the prescription when he didn't need to at all. He gave me a full run down of the meds and it was super easy to understand. Honestly, staff here is amazing. Keep up the amazing work, don't let these random negative reviews change your mind from checking them out if you are looking for an overall positive experience at a clinic.

I recently moved to Scarborough and I'm looking for a new family physician. So of course I googled and researched to find a good doctor. I chose to go to this doctor after reading good reviews. I saw doctor Jerry Leung and man was I disappointed. Being a new patient and all, I expected to be asked about any health issues or history. Nope. He went straight to the point. "What can I do for you". So I started naming off some issues I've been having. He sits there on his computer and he's filling out a blood panel form. He barely cared about what I had to say. He handed me the form, tells me the girl out front can set it up. Then tells me he has to go things are a little hectic here and saying he has other patients to see. I don't care about everyone else. The people in before me, saw the doctor for at least 15 minutes. My appointment was at 12, didn't see the doctor till 1250. Then only spent 5 minutes in the room with him. Never in my life have I ever been rushed and practically pushed out of a doctors office. I was so disrespected. I strongly suggest not seeing this doctor.

I really like this clinic. I went in for a walk in appointment a couple years ago and got such great service that I asked to be registered as a patient there. Dr Leung did not try to understand my issue and was dismissive of my concerns. I started to get facial tension and he laughed and was like "who gets pain there, i never heard of that". I told him it may be related to anxiety and hes like "Do you have anxiety, what makes you think you have it?" I explained to him briefly how i would get random panic attacks and he was like "oh i think you do have anxiety, have you tried talking to a psychiatrist" I said no and hes like well you should look for one without even recommending one to me. Like what another reviewer said, he likes to deal with simple cases and not up for a challenge. Avoid at all costs.

An appointment walk in you might as well just stop cause it will be faster to go to the actual hospital and get looked at by the doctors faster. He did not address my primary concerns, and started bluntly that he didn't have time for it. He did no examination and was fairly condescending. Quick to try to pawn off some vitamins. The blood tech was actually the receptionist who had an awful skin rash, which was very off putting. I chose not to bother to get my blood checked. Will absolutely not return. Enjoy billing my government for this one visit. You will not be doing so on my behalf again.

She just called out the name and pointed me to go inside, she assumed that it was me based on the name and nationality. After o asked her what is the name you called out?? This is the first time she is getting vaccination in Canada. When the Chinese nurse gave me a yellow vaccination card after giving injection there is no name written. I asked her this card belongs to whom?? There is no name. She told me to write it on my own. Is she not legally responsible for her action?? Staffs are very unprofessional. But still I go there because of the convenient time the clinic is opened.

The male doctor Dr. J Leung Is very good. He was very thorough with my exam. I went in for strep throat and he performed a quick instant strep throat exam and results were known within minutes. It was a positive so he wrote me an RX. Aside from my original examination of strep throat, he also suggested options for the pain medication that I have been taking for a chronic knee pain. He also wrote me a prescription for an anti-arthritis cream to rub on my knees, if it works I can actually be off the medication that I’ve been taking for so long and not only I have to take that pill every day I have to take two other pills to prevent the side effect. Thank you very much Dr. Leung for your kind consideration and thorough exam. I was there 8 AM when they open and I was out of the clinic along with my medication by 8:30 AM. I read a lot of negative reviews about the female doctor there but I can’t say anything about it because I’ve never met her.

And I went to a walk-in clinic because I need to see a doctor for my immediate health condition. I was with a transaction record of my health card. And then the receptionist said they were closed and asked me to go there tomorrow. I was so confused why she asked me to fill in a form at the first time, and the refused to offer me treatment as I showed her my paper form of health card. And I knew the clinic closed at 6pm. Do I have to go to the clinic at 4pm in order to get the service?

My daughter and I had the best experience at Progress Centre Medical. The receptionist was very friendly and the place was spotless and clean. My two-year-old daughter and four-year-old son were very happy to play with the toys provided at the waiting room. The wait was very short. Dr. Hong was very personable so my daughter did not fuss at all while she was checking her. Dr. Hong diagnosed that I had Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease very quickly, prescribed me the appropriate medications to help alleviate some of the symptoms, and wrote me a note to take necessary time off work. The pharmacist, Dr. Chan, was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain to me how to use the prescriptions properly. I would definitely recommend the walk-in-clinic and pharmacy to my friends, family, and anyone else who is looking. The people who work there genuinely care for their patients and I am very thankful for their help.

This place is located very close to where I live. Doctor Leung and doctor Hong are wonderful and it's the only reason I keep coming back. However, their front staff is atrocious, specifically, the female nurse. She has no etiquette on how to talk to patients and can become argumentative. There is NO law that says im required to tell a nurse, in front of everyone, why I'm seeing a doctor or why I'm there. I had already booked the appointment days before and if the office really needs to know why a patient is there then they should ask that over the phone, not in front of everyone else. Or, ask once the patient is in the room. The way I was treated was so horrible I wanted to walk out. The office should really rethink their front nurse staff or train them on how to talk to patients and respect their privacy. Just for this reason reason alone I really hesitate recommending this place until their change their burses.

there has been a breach to my privacy at this clinic. A receptionist By the name of Rhai Watson has scandal my personal information including how often I come to the clinic, the reason why I come ,and My personal results. This is an extreme invasion of privacy and should be addressed immediately this has caused a number of individuals to know my personal medical information. I’m not happy with this lack of “patients confidential information ” from individuals whose supposed to follow guidelines under professional organizations/occupations. I will refrain from using your services due to incompetencey. I understand it’s digital but the receptionist also has access to viewing results of other patients that’s how their able to tell you over the phone if to come in or not. I was given results over the phone from the individual I stated above. I understand you say information is secured however it clearly isn’t if my information is now exposed from staff that works in ur facility. It’s not false information that was given out it is all accurate details of my visits.

Have been going to Dr Leung first for myself and then my daughter. He is great! HR referred me to an OB/GYN very early in my pregnancy which was needed. As a nurse I thought his evaluation of my daughter was extremely thorough. He speaks to you in great detail and takes the time to make sure you understand everything. He takes your concerns seriously. Excellent doctor!

Dr Leung is condescending, refuses to listen, assuming I was arguing with him when I wasn't. I believe he's racist unless of course you're Chinese as he refused to accept me and my daughter as patients from the start unknowing that my daughter is part Chinese. The couple of times I went there I had infections from a tooth removal as well as a cut on my arm so I needed assistance. My friend who came with me had also noticed that when it came to Chinese patients he was very accommodating however to his non Chinese patients he was arrogant and condescending and made it clear he didn't want non Chinese as patients. The staff, unlike him are friendly and are not racist.

Unprofessional and irresponsible. Went to see Dr. Jerry Leung for an infection. Was advised to take antibiotics for 3 days and got my prescription at the clinic’s pharmacy. I wasn’t aware that could be an issue cuz I was real sick. But after I went home I did some research online and consulted my pharmacist friend, he told me that that antibiotics I took should be taken for at least 5 days in a row (Typically 5-7 days). 3 days after taking the med, I called to the clinic 3 times. Every time the receptionist said that Dr. Leung would call me back, but he never called back. 2 weeks later, I got the same infection. I went to see another family doctor. And she confirmed that the med that I took should be taken for at least 5 days to clear all the bacteria. We turned out trying another type of antibiotic. And soon I felt better. I will never visit Dr. Leung and the clinic again. (Using Alias to protect myself. Ain’t sharing my legal name publicly)

I questioned cleanliness of the clinic. I was stepping on cherrios on the floor in the waiting room. Trash bin was under the cupboard which meant that one had to first open the cupboard door before disposing any items, potentially making the cupboard handle a place for passing germs. Liner does not get changed after every patient. The wait to see the doctor was shorter than the wait for the drug dispensing at the pharmacy attached to it. I guess it is an ok clinic if you want to be in an out in no time.

washrooms are usually out of service. On our visit for 3 hours, no washrooms. staff is slopy and won't update immunization records properly. will messup the records easily. My kids records have so many crosses, cuts corrections and what not. They even didn't updated the lot number for the vaccine they put in. had to force them to put it as required by schools. Total mess. Slopy. Pathetic experience. avoid if you have other options.

This one start is related specifically to getting a doctor's note. I went to this clinic for a doctor's note and it cost $25 - surprisingly high. Days later, I needed to get it extended/renewed and asked if the $25 fee could be waived or reduced. Neither the doctor nor the clinic manager, on separate phone calls, budged on reducing this higher-than-average fee at all. I called 4-5 other clinics in the same area and all of them charge $20 for a doctor's note. So, if you need a doctor's note, don't go to this clinic.
