I think Dr. Southcott is actually pretty good. I've moved a few times and had a few Dr.'s. I wouldn't call him one of the bad ones. I have a complex neurological disorder, he's been getting me to the right specialists. I like that he looks stuff up on the computer. I've had "old" Dr's that " just knew stuff " that actually didn't. It can be difficult to get through to reception, but it's Covid times. Our entire health care system has been underfunded for decades! Can't put that on one Dr. I hear the same complaints about wait times and reception from other ppl with other Drs. I can honestly say I've maybe knew 2 better GPs in my life, one is dead, one is Chief of medice somewhere in Toronto now.

Useless, have a better chance of getting ahold of janitor than reception to obtain an appointment.

I'm editing this review because on my rate MD's review for this guys practice I somehow mistakenly rated 4 stars for staff and 3 for punctuality. I thought his staff were college girls there for credits.They couldn't have cared less that after 10 days, their incompetence prevented a gov't document from being filled out and mailed on required post marked date making it useless for me. No apology for their complete incompetence. When I justly and angrily told them that, I, a terminally ill patient was terminated without ever seeing or speaking to Southcott about it. First and last experience. Of course, with about 3000 patients, (that I too feel sorry for in Sarnia), mostly thanks to Dr.Putter(thanks a lot), I was just a drop in the bucket. Southcott couldn't have cared less. If possible I'd rate him 0 minus as a doctor. Anyway, with 3000 patients, it takes the individual care for any patient away. Becomes just another run of the mill treatment,if you get treated in any way at all other than badly. Just after posting this review I checked out rate MD's 14 reviews for this guy. All BAD. Take note Southcott. It makes me sick to hear that unfortunately Ontario Drs. get paid by the number of patients on their roster, not by patients they see or treat. Free ride for this very BAD USELESS DR.Guess he knows that. He's not alone in Sarnia.
