bad service, poor service, long waiting.

I can't say enough about the treatment that I've received at this hospital. Because of recent health issues I've had to undergo various CT scans. During a throat CT, A 2.3 cm nodule has been found at the top of my lungs and I have a follow up CT scan booked on my entire lungs to see what else is going on. I went in for a mammogram and within 2 days I got a call back because a mass was found in my left breast. They've booked me for a CT scan of my breast, at which point they may biopsy me right at that time. They are kind and made me feel very comfortable during any procedure and I feel safe to be in their hands for all the upcoming procedures I'm going to be going through.. Thank you so much to the doctors the staff at the hospital. You are all amazing

No bed side manners rude and the wait time is horrible while my wife is sitting there in tears from pain

After multiple negative experiences dealing with Bluewater Health in regards to my vulnerable daughter's care, Friday night this public health service reached another all time low. My daughter has been awaiting proper housing placement so that she is not exposed to further health and safety trauma. Time after time, this public health service has demonstrated careless errors, that have been either ignored or been minimized. For a hospital that frequently is portrayed in the media as a top Canadian Hospital, it has failed my daughter, and all of her family members who are trying to support her. On November 6th, 2020, I made an attempt to visit my daughter after her lengthy admission, not seeing her since this past April due to Covid restrictions, and personal circumstances. I was met by a woman who informed me I had to register before I could visit. She took down all my information, made a call to the floor, then informed me 'I was not on the list to visit'. I was stunned. I responded "what does that mean?" She continued "it means you can't visit her due to covid protocol". I stated "that doesn't make sense, I'm her mom, I haven't seen her since April, it's my birthday, I have cake and mall popcorn for her, my mom, her nana sent up chocolate bars and slippers for her, I drove an hour to see her". Next thing I know, security comes over, in a 'I'll take care of this kind of voice' "I can take that up to her" I stated " I want to see my daughter, have a visit and give to her myself" he said "sorry, here's a patient experience card" as he reaches for a pile of cards. Seriously? Like I haven't exhausted EVERY SINGLE RESOURCE just to get the best care and treated with a little respect already by BWH? I one by one tossed the items under the plexi glass and walked away. The next day I spoke with my daughter, and asked if she received the items I left. She had. She said "they told me you were happy and dropped them off" I told her I was not happy they did not allow me to come up for a visit with you (as she's been asking me to come up for months) She says "the nurses told me I did not want you on my list" What do you say to someone who is being told things they have no clue about and blatantly lied to? What I know, is, she's asked myself and her nana to come for a visit continually.....What I also know, I have made reports to multiple agencies exposing the below standard of care, including to BWH since 2017 in regards to my daughter's care. I'm on a list all right, and it's not the list that respects family involvement at all. This place is as corrupt as the systems that oversee these public services.

I been here a few times to see a specialist. The place is clean, the staff is friendly. Services is fast - lots of volunteers to help you get around - the parking is good except you have to pay for it.

Samer Serhan

Har an MRI from London here. Professional , friendly and clean place. Very friendly. Thank you

I had a horrible fall off my bike, I was taken by ambulance to bluewater health. Due to covid19 I was alone and unfortunately this was my first real medical emergency - thank you to the wonderful staff because of them I didn't feel alone and they took wonderful care of me in emergency. I had to go back a few weeks later for surgery and again had a great experience with the day surgery floor. No complaints!

Had an asthma attack and was put in green zone and treated as a joke. Horrible staff.

Kylie Johnston

The most amazing and caring hospital staff!

Such great heros that work here even throughout this pandemic they stay strong and accommodate everyone as best as possible thank you all and keep up the great work !!!!!

A while ago I became incredibly ill. And had no way to get to the hospital. Finally after 3 days of agony I walked myself up to the hospital. Normally is a 20 minute walk it took me over three hours. I was sweating profusely short of breath and thought I was dying. My lungs hurt and I was worried I may have pneumonia the triage nurse ask me a few questions and then the doctor came and saw me. They sent me for an x-ray to make sure I didn't have pneumonia and while I was waiting I read the papers that's a triage nurse wrote. She said I was dirty and thought I was looking for drugs. Considering I don't like drugs and I don't do them nor do I drink I was highly offended. They sent me home telling me not to worry about it I had a slight cold. Now I don't know if I had a cold or not, but it took weeks to get rid of. The only reason I was messy is I'd laid in bed in my clothes and basically crawled up to the hospital to get help. Where I was insulted and treated like dirt. Then again this is the hospital that told me I had to wait a week for a cast for an arm that was broken in two places.

It really does not matter what I say or how I review your emergency department. It's not exactly what I would call performing at its best and I actually find some of your emerg nurses to be a bit on the rude side. I would actually travel over an hour to get help in London rather than Sarnia Emerg..really to bad with having such a nice hospital..there needs to be an attitude change

Connor Hellinga

Caring staff, well run, and a testament on what healthcare should look like.

Tom Janes

My recent stay was eye opening. The nurses and support staff are the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met. Thank you for being there for me!

Luc Vanthuyne

I'm from Chatham. I had a 6 hr surgery at this hospital just over 3 years ago. I was in the hospital for 2 and 1/2 weeks. The staff were fantastic. Dr Ramirez and Dr Martin were phenomenal! I will always be grateful for the care I received here.

Arrived in emerge at 5:30am....it is now 8:21am...I am 1 of 2 people in the waiting room...If this ridiculous waitime is indicative of the state of affairs at Bluewater Health when I can visibly see staff chatting and laughing, then B.H. needs a complete overhaul!!!! This is an absolute joke!! I am sure that once I get to see a nurse or Doctor all will be fine but that's probably not going to happen since I work in an hour. We pay a TON of taxes in Ontario and the monies allotted to healthcare are MASSIVE! We would be much better off and the system would be much healthier if it were ...yes I am going to say it...PRIVATIZED! Health care staff would be friendlier, more helpful and if they were rude ...they would get fired!! Imagine that a healthcare system that would function!!!!! What an unnecessary experience today has been!

Just a bunch of joke all the nurses do is stand around and talk my daughter was having an allergic reaction and made her wait 8 hours before giving her anything to reduce the swelling in her throat place is a joke

Natalie Singh

The staff were courteous and friendly; bedside manners were excellent and the level of care I received on December 31st was outstanding! Thanks to all the staff who helped me!

Hugh Barr

My personal visits for MRI, Xray were pleasant. Father of two children which were also born at the Hospital.

Id like to say that they have the best oncology staff going. They are very caring, my experience here was excellent!!

Very efficient and caring place!

awful emergency department and awful trainee doctor the doctor ask me not to worry and take Advil and Tylenol but how many of each and what is the duration this doctor didn't bother to write them on small piece of paper , and when I asked the stupid nurse he was rude

I went to this emergency this past weekend (a holiday weekend). Service was great and everyone was very personable. I was in and out in about an hour and a half. I am American and it was my first time having to get care at a Canadian facility. I had no idea what to expect. For me, it was a very positive experience

Tyler P

Extremely long wait times all the time. Waited 9 hours 4 months ago for them to tell me to take tylonal. Where as my doctor gave me antibiotics for an actual infection when I saw him. Very poor go to Petrolia.

Brian Haines

I have never had a bad experience with bluewater health, I am somebody who get injured on a semi-regular basis and i am familiar with the staff there the nurses and doctors are wonderful.

Sat in the waiting room for 5 hours yes but as soon as I got back to my room I was taken care of so fast

The absolute worst experience I've had in an emergency room ever. I had a heart attack 6 weeks ago and have had health issues arise since then. The meds I'm on from my heart attack include a blood thinner and I was informed that if I have any internal bleeding to get to emergency immediately for treatment. Where do I begin omg it was horrific. The minute I walked through the doors I knew from their attitudes it was going to be bad. There is so much wrong with this hospital that it scares me to my very core if I were to ever have to go back there for any emergency again. Right now I'm having an anxiety attack even talking about it. People if you have any real emergency I highly recommend that you find a way to go to any other hospital then this one. All the people that work in this emergency department definitely need an attitude adjustment 100%. I'm going to check around and see what department in Ontario Health it is I need to complain to.

My husband is in extreme pain in his spine, has been to the hospital 3 times about it and nothi g so e because he has no doctor, the doctor that seen him even made the extra effort to let him know if hes not dieing he cant help him what has happened to our health care, so very sad.

Tonya Hart

I didn't have the best personal experience leading me into emergency, however, the staff was very pleasant and made it much easier for me. I waited in emergency for about an hour, until things became worse and they took me in immediately. The staff was very helpful and attentive. I felt safe in their care, as they were very reassuring and answered my questions honestly and professionally. That is very important to me. I'm from out of town and they made me feel comfortable being away from home. The nurses were very nice, despite me being overly apologetic (which was probably annoying). I'm quite pleased with their service.

Jason Johnson

Extremely clean, well organized since the renovations.

Relative FrencH20

They take EXCELLENT care of their patients and unlike larger hospitals (teaching hospitals like LHSC in London) they seem to care about their patients!@!!

Manuela Irvine

Went Sunday morning to emergency. Was having a strange discomfort in my chest. I had 12 years ago a blockage near my heart that required an urgent double bypass. I was promptly directed to registration and in a few minutes taken for a complete checkout. All the required tests were done in a very professional, timely way. A very positive experience ????☺️

LEVI OLIVER

Thankful for our health care. Registration process is a little confusing, some departments (MRI) you register at the main desk, others in the actual department (Ambulatory). For those of you complaining about the waits.... You get free health care!!! Stop being so entitled, move to the states if you're unhappy, they'll get you right in.... For several thousand. However, this parking situation in Sarniannn Now that's unfortunate. You want us to pay for parking, but half your machines are out of order and the others only take coin. Seriously? What kind of modern hospital is this? Many people don't carry coin or cash these days... So ofcoarse today, to add to the stress, I show up trying to get my son to his appointment and I'm running around trying to figure out a way to pay and not get a ticket. Here's a thought - take some of your millions in parking revenue and update your machines. Geesh.

Sarah Howes

I honestly don't understand why this hospital has been rated so high (unless I just come on the wrong days) Today was by fair the worst experience I have had here... came in for some issues and I was moved around like a ping-pong ball. After my ultrasound someone was suppose to come get me and take me back to the green area. Well after 3 calls to come get me from the ultrasound ladies someone finally came... with a sparky remark "guess you've been waiting for me eh" --for 30 mins I might add. I keep hearing "the Dr will be right with you to go over your results" when I can hear them all talking right outside of my closed curtain. There is a girl that's been waiting in here for over 10 hours which makes my 8 hours nothing... there were so many other things that went wrong here today like the fact my urine has been sitting out all afternoon waiting for it to get tested but im just gunna stop here. Note to self... its worth the drive to Petrolia.

Rick Girthquake

Fantastic hospital. Very professional. My wife bornt my baby here. Very classy experience. I parked my truck underground to smoke weed and drink beer because I was there for several days. I basically turned my truck into a cottage to wait for the birth'n. Needless to say, It was surreal.

Marvelous Raven

It's a good hospital. I was born there in 94, it was called St. Joan's Hospital.

Tracy Boote

Bluewater Health has been a support for myself and offer many useful community services...and there is free Wi-Fi,Tummies and alot of places to read, wait and visit that are both cozy and beautiful spaces..indoors and out. Library with computers and multi-denominational worship chapel

Just the worst

Horseluvr 23

Upon my husband being admitted to BH, after a 10 hour wait in the ER, and upon being discharged, we waited another 4 plus hours! You wonder what is wrong with the system? This is part of the problem! No excuses!

Christy Beauvais

Dennis Rothenburger

Went to Emerg there today(Mar 10/19) and when we first walked in we almost turned around and left as it was BUSY! Surprisingly though the wait wasn't bad at all ! The triage staff were excellent and quick! Within just over 2hrs I was checked in, saw a doctor, examined, given a prescription and outta there! I was impressed by the efficiency! The staff I had contact with, check-in, nurse and doctor were all friendly and, once again - LOL - efficient ! GOOD JOB !

Sheldon Phillips

Emergency is a joke. The apparently, one doctor working, is to busy talking to the nurses or patients about his vacation than doing his job.

MARTINA Dagg

I have soooo many horror stories. I have nothing good to say about this ER department what so ever. Proven time and time again. Another excellent example tonight of negligence.

Dwayne Hanna

First off don’t mention you have mental health issues whatsoever unless that’s why your there…The triage nursed treated me very differently after asking about my medication and why I take it his disposition changed immediately after and on down the line. I share in the opinion of others at this place is a joke I wasted my time and the hospitals time and us taxpayers money to go and be undiagnosed Brushed off and not treated for the issue that I have had before and know the symptoms and protocol. I would love to be a doctor here the easiest money you’ve ever made walking into a room and brushing people off and onto the next. Small town Small minds I guess something I definitely should have looked into before moving to Sarnia why is it that the healthcare is so much different an hour down the 402 I’ll drive an hour to London even if I am on deaths door I’d rather die on the Hwy Than in the incapable hands of Bluewater health.

Susan JustSusan

I have yet to meet a single person at this hospital that hasn't gone above and beyond on a consistent basis. I have to be at the hospital at least 4-6 times a month so I am confident when I say the staff from the screeners (shout out to Mary) to administrators, phlebotomists, nurses and doctors are knowledgeable, patient, kind and very caring. Thank you.

N. B.

Both times I've gone here last year, I was treated more as a job than a patient. I've heard countless countless countless horror stories from this place. My girlfriend went to the ER at midnight having a very difficult time breathing, they put her in a room by herself and FORGOT about her until 2am. Absolutely horrendous, AWFUL hospital. Terrible.

Brenden Lyons

Sometimes it's good, sometimes its bad. You never know what you'll get here

Dipankar Daga

Sadly have to give one star coz Google doesn't have the option of giving no stars. Came to admit my friend at the emergency department and they made her wait for like 45 minutes and then made her leave unattended. Like just wow. I would say people to better go to some other hospitals or better Google about the pain coz atleast that way you'll be able to help your loved one get relief of the pain faster than BLUEWATER EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. You suck.!!

Carol Cormier

I went to emergency yesterday, it was an absolutely horrible ordeal. I was in a lot of pain and vomiting constantly and they expected me to sit in one of the chairs in the waiting room. After checking in I was deemed red which is serious. You think you'd get in a little quicker but no, I waited over 3 hours before they took me to the back. Where I waited another hour before I could see a doctor. Once back there it took them all of 10 minutes to stop the vomiting and the pain. The care in the back was good, so was the staff and doctor that took care of me. But the ER is a nightmare where they don't have enough staff and nobody seems to care.

Peter Moosa

I came for a hip xray during this covid time and was so soothed. Everyone was kind, helpful and friendly. There were all sorts of covid restrictions but I was grateful..... not so much that I would be lesslikely to catch covid but moreso that everyone took it seriously. What a relief.

rob marks

Very grateful for the staff that took care of me on october 28th. Very professional and helpful during a very uncomfortable situation. Thank you!!

hans roos

This hospital saved my life more than ones. Emergency a 5 out of 5 nursing care a 5 out of 5 lab a 5 out of 5 cleanish a 4 out of 5 X-ray a 5 out of 5 ,and finally food I struggle to give it a 1 out of 5 your Food a disgrace.

Mikayla Clark

By far the worst hospital ever! My daughter at 2 months old almost died do to having surziers was told she was fine! Also called my a low life drunk to my face.

Janice Allardyce

My friend is a patient in rehab. One shower a week!!!!. Really!! How many showers a week does the staff have

Trevor Morris

In emergency for 3 hours and counting, no explanation as to why the wait has been so long. I understand that it is on a priority basis but in 3 hours any other place would have been able to see more than the 5 patuents they have taken. Horribly managed and absolutely no communication with patients. It would have been quicker to drive to London and back to seek treatment than come to the hospital in Sarnia.

Ebru Kocadogan

It’s a terrible place. God forbidden people to go there. They do not accept people with exemptions. It’s all about forcing people with nonsense restrictions. Naziwater Health would be a better name for that place. Very sad.

Denise Johnston

I was at bluewater health last night. My dr was concerned about my symptoms of pain right lung area of my chest because I had a blood clot multiple blood clots on my lung just over a year ago that I was treated for so past history being assessed was smart. My drs receptionist walk me over to the Er at bluewater health. Which was really busy. As I waited I did consider going home a few times during the hour I waited while until was registered and the roughly two hours before I was called in. I understood why so I'm good with waitingif it means peace of mind.if I went home it wouldn't be responsible of me if I did have a clot.even though I was uncomfortable and in pain while I waited my turn the level of care I received was exceptional. They really care and the staff really listen to their patients. They involved me in every decision. They really make sure I was safe to go home. I so wanted to go home and not do the last test because the tests results before were promising I would rather be at home with my dog. The said my blood work looked good and xrays were clear then offered the ct scan. Which I almost opted out of doing. As I also dont want tests if it's not necessary to do it. I think the dr knew that too by my responses to her findings because of the drs questions and my answers to those questions. I questioned that decision of going home without the last test and did the test anyway. The ct scan also came back clear. Good news all around. knowing this means I'm sure it was the birth control I was on that caused the clots in the past. Keep in mind I'm 46 now. I am higher risk for that to happen with birth control pills. It turns out My lining around the lung area is inflamed. Painful but not serious. which I'm treating at home. Home is where I prefer to be anyway. I hope it will be a long time before I am ever back in the Er but I know I'll get the best care possible if I end up back there. They do truly care be patient during the process you won't be disappointed.

I Can’t say enough good things about my two visits to the day surgery floor in the span of the week. The nurses were awesome, my doctor was fantastic and the anesthesiologists were great! I was comfortable and confident with the staff. Surgery is never pleasant but their kindness and work ethic made things easy to recover. Both teams were fantastic. The day staff November 29th and December 5 afternoon/ evening staff. Thanks For everything

G Paw

I attended the Bluewater Hospital with a lot of pain.Long story short I was given inadequate medication and told I needed a family doctor.Im from out of town, and was not happy with my treatment. The next day I went back had nurses bring a chair out and brought me in.I was Givin pain meds,a consult with a doc...then I was injected with pain meds and sent on my way.I couldn't walk so 2 nurses wheeled me out to my car in a chair ,put behind the wheel of my car and sent on my way.A week later I'm still in pain and I will never visit that emergency department again!!! The Worst visit ever to a hospital!!! Well done Bluewater Health.

Ryan U

If you have a serious or suspected serious medical concern, go to London. Time and time again this place: especially the ER, is incompetent. Ask any long time Sarnia resident. This hospital does not have the confidence of much of the public it serves. Some absolutely GOOD experiences and many more horrible experiences. You DO NOT feel like a customer even though your tax dollars pay for this facility. Go to London, experience the difference. Sarnia ER = 1 star

Larry C

Several trips to the emergency room yielded limited results. I twice was basically chastised to get a family doctor so I could sign papers to be able to be prescribed painkillers. That’s all well and fine except there are no family doctors available in Sarnia. A few say taking new patients but in reality you have to apply and hope the call you. There needs to be more compassionate care here for those without a doctor and no real hope to find one. Overall unimpressed with every attending physicians response to disabling pain. If they can’t quickly diagnose you... then they send you away. Lodged a complaint to hospital patient services and was told all my visits followed protocol. What a sad health care system we have in Ontario!

Ada Carter

Excellent kind staff good personable wonderful Dr. I wish a Service existed that you could get Dr to come to the home when you feel sick..it does not seem like bothering Emerg. But for a senior who does not drive great anxiety to think how to get into the hospital

Christine Gagnier

Dr. Dhanjani and the nursing staff made my day surgery a positive experience. They were articulate and friendly. I received a urine sample, medication, an ultrasound and bloodwork pretty much all at once. I did not have to walk anywhere or drive to a different local.

Larry Douglass

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Bluewater Health, Sarnia. You just need to treat your caregivers the way you wish to be treat. A Total Bilateral knees replaced and a Left Hip replaced and now waiting for the Right Hip to be replaced if it doesn't get cancelled due to COVID. Each time I have been in Bluewater Health, I have been treated great. The Doctors, Nurses, Physio have all been fantastic. If I could say any better things, I truly would. You just need to remember that you are not the only person needing care.

Mark McCarthy

I went to emerge last week with a migraine. I waited four hours to see a Doctor. Then I was put in a waiting room to see the doctor that was another 2 hours wait. I asked if I could have something for the pain while I waited for the doctor. It was a very long process. And it took so long before I got anything to get any relief.

Kevin Thomas

I was in emergency last night, my gf was experiencng excruciating abdominal pain and severe voimting...she was put to the highest level in triage still waited 5 hrs. During this time an older man walked into the e.r complaining of heart attack symptoms...he was told too pls hold on for a min while the triage nurse? (Glorified receptionist) slurped from her soda....disgusting....im ashamed to call myself Sarnian again...

The staff does not give adequate care if you have any mental health issues as soon as they see that you are automatically labeled by the nurses and doctors and they automatically ASSUME you are "crazy"

Deborah Passingham

Have had wonderful amazingly caring individuals in mammogram..mri and ct scan...nuclear medicine . But have a rating of 2 stars for a ct scan individual who is named Amanda and she treated me badly because I asked if she could put the iv in my arm instead of hand. Well I should not asked that as she treated me rudely after that. I mentioned that I was afraid of the hand one but we did the hand and it went fine but her attitude wasn't. I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer and I am very afraid of the individuals who will be looking after me. I would like positive people in my life for this journey and I hope Amanda's days improve.

Mathew Deichert

Waiting for hours with my sick 20 month old son when the waiting room was vertualy empty. During my wait I noticed that the front desk in the emergency was empty for periods on end. I was told that this hospital was run like a business if so they would be out of business.

jim brown

Ken M

They were OK. I don't mind waiting because there are always more urgent people ahead of me. Needs better magazines.

Julie Plaquet

I was visiting in Sarnia when I had a gall bladder attack. Upon having a ct scan they not only confirmed that the gallbladder had to come out , they found a kidney tumour in the early stages. They saved my life. I lost the kidney but I have been cancer free for ten years.

Lee Randall

Emergency room not very busy yet have sat here for almost an hour with elderly mother waiting to see doctor. Not acceptable.

Charles F.Q. Chains

Some of the Nurses are lazy and ignorant. They make up their own laws that contradict legislation, and then tell the patient to wait a minute only to come back an hour later with no explanation. Lives are at risk while you have a few Nurses making up their own laws, ignoring the patient. This needs to stop.

Mr.Ricky Pliance

Just terrible had appointment to get staples out the girls says no not today I told her yes it's bin 10 day told me to come get them out

Joe S

Just needs to be run better. The Sarnia hospital is always behind in some way.

Alex McDonald

Took my girlfriend to emerge because of pain that could be kidneystone and it took 3 hours just to get seen and it wasn't even busy smh

Loraine Patterson

My husband was in for a ct scan tonight and couldn’t have been treated any better by staff. The appointment was for 8 p.m. and he was in and out by 8:15. Since we were from London we appreciated the fast service and dedicated and caring staff.

Cindy Tucci

Today at 1210 I called the 4G Medicine unit to speak to the nurse caring for my father and who ever answered the phone must have read the call display and saw who was calling and decided to transfer me to my fathers room. I spoke to my dad briefly then called back and someone did the exact same thing. I was not given any opportunity to speak. I called for the 3rd time and the phone rang about 15 times and someone picked it up and hung up on me and did this again on my 4th attempt. I’m very concerned about this and the disrespect of hospital employees. This is the third time in the last few weeks that this happened. I have called the manager and left a message on his phone and requested a follow up call to discuss this matter. I am really upset with the way staff treat family members. So much disrespect!

Trudy Cornbread

my sister was waiting so long in the waiting room she trudy died and now i, greta cornbread am writing this on her behalf since she literally is dead and they just swept her up and put her in a dust pan

D G

My son was born here, delivery staff are awesome!

james holmes

I had to have shoulder surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff. It was originally scheduled for April 1st but with the outbreak of Covid19, it was postponed indefinitely. Once surgeries were put back on, I got the call and was moved up to June 1st. I went in by myself due to the Covid 19 restrictions. I want to say how smooth it all went. The staff at the hospital totally took great care of me the whole way through. Everyone was so nice and but professional at the same time. I felt like everyone was so caring in their manner. Of course, I would also like to give a special shout out to Dr Mackinley for his special care and skills fixing my bum shoulder. Again, much thanks to all the folks at Bluewater Health

Joe Blow

I've witnessed so many terrible things go on at this hospital. From as small professionals talking about eachother, to the dismissing people home and them passing away, to unnecessary surgery. The wait times are constantly 10+hours even for minor things. I've seen patients not move from the start of my shift to the end. The staff were required to take sensitivity training for bullying a transgender individual that also works here at Bluewater.

Marilyn Steckly

This hospital is amazing, I have always been treated very well here. I have had surgeries, Sepsis, and other emergencies, and have always been treated in a timely and respectful manner.

Lorie Cruz

Since having my 2nd child, I've actually quite enjoyed having to come here for appointments. It's bright and open and clean, and the staff are quite friendly and helpful. Just recently, I've had to visit the ER for an unfortunate circumstance and I have to say that the attending dr and nurses were very comforting and helpful. I was ushered in right away as a high-risk emergency and was tended to with the utmost respect and professionalism. If not for the unfortunate situation, it would have been a pleasant visit (if there could ever be one in the ER). I will be forever grateful to the staff at Bluewater for their help.

Janna Walters

Always good here. No problems. Attentive and professional.

I went here to "amblitory care" which I think is a fancy name for "out patient " department lol. From the moment I was in the hospital the nurses were very professional, following covid protocols. Only the person being treated was allowed in, but that's to keep everyone safe. I was in and out of the appointment very quickly and didn't even sit down for a few minutes and I was called in. Only had a few bad points to the hospital in general. When going into the hospital on the one side the doors were not marked clear(and there were over 4 unmarked ones) and a nurse popped her head out off the staff entrance( that had big letters saying it was staff entrance )and told me that I was to go inside that door. And the other thing was they closed the tim hortons in the hospital yet online it still says it's open. But a positive about this was we walked a few blocks to the Coffee Lodge and they were a great place to go!

Why weren't the patios open on a wonderful sunny day like today - Apr 30, Why weren't the patios open on a wonderful sunny day like today - Apr 30, 2018? We had to sit at the main entrance for sun and "fresh" air which at that location, included vehicle fuels from such vehicles as Volkswagen diesels that pollute 11 times what their teste show due to cheating by their engineers. Such is anything but good healthcare, or acceptable for the patients of whom the vast majority are taxpayers that finance such poorly run government money pits. Doug Kingston, P. Eng.

3 hours in triage...after the doctor had written treatment is urgent! Good bedside manners but overall a painful experience. More staff is needed or a better system is required

Great staff at the hospital. You're in great hands at this hospital. Trust me. These folks are fantastic. The doctor is always on your side. They want things to go well too.

Would have rated BH at zero stars if it were an option. The lack of care and compassion would be incomprehensible if I didn't experience it myself. Do yourself and your health a favour... before going to BH, give your head a shake and immediately drive to London.

Still discriminating against the mask exemption ambulance still has not showed up been a week i have been waiting to get in to emergency cause Mrs. Hawthorne wait of guest service is unable to return a call. I went to London And they told me it was good I came or I could have been dead in another day I was so bad off. As a medically fragile person who has been denied ambulance even when they get here and I am unconscious. I am very scared for this city as its drs nurses ambulance people don't help the disabled. If you have a disability that causes exemption of mask. Move far away every other hospital in ont will treat you with respect. I use London Toronto and Huntsville now and honestly all of them are great. If you are disabled stay away this is the third time I have been denied and that them not letting me in and denying me ambulance has almost killed me twice this year. Thank God for other cities that care about medically helping the disabled. I even have a email from Jeff brook paramedic services admitting they are in the wrong and saying it would get rectified and it didn't as well as the 20 emails I have from Mrs Hawthorne in guest service. I will share with anyone that wants to see them

BWH is an absolute joke, my wife was experiencing severe abdominal pains and couldn’t move, we got there by 8:05am , spent 3 hours in the emergency room, no sense of care or urgency. It’s 3:30pm and they still haven’t done anything meaningful

This hospital saved my life ❤ I had to have surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. I was so stressed, sad and VERY SCARED. Dr. Douglas, Dr. Elkelani, and nurses Krista, Karen and Libby were all so kind and caring towards me during my stay. It was such a frightening and somewhat traumatic experience for me, but they were all very understanding and compassionate. I never felt alone and they truly listened to me and gave me the best care. The Anesthesiologist (I'm so sorry I forgot his name) on Dr. Elkelani's operation team was also very informative and compassionate and he really eased my fears about going under. This is by far the greatest experience I ever had with my Healthcare and I'm so happy I came in when I did. Thank you, everyone, for your services and your hard work. You saved my life ????

My friend is in Bluewater Health. She was very difficult when she went into and the staff was very kind yet firm with her. Since then she has become a lot better physically and mentally and a pleasure to be around. Thank you for your patience and Kindness

I went in to emergency Monday midday with possible heart issue. Once completed triage I was given 2 aspirin to chew and and move in for EKG. Short time later the ER doctor informed me that it wasn't my heart and more testing was needed to find out what was wrong. Blood was taken, ultrasound was conducted. Then after those results came back the ER doctor that my gallbladder was inflamed, I was referred to on call surgeon and would be emitted to the hospital. Tuesday my surgery was canceled because blood work results were off abit and they had concerns of gallstones may be moving. Wednesday morning I had a MRCP then that afternoon my surgery went ahead. All the way through this I was well informed of what was going on and well cared for by everyone I interacted with. The surgeon even called my wife to let her know I was out of surgery and recovering. Thursday I was released and amazed by all the Doctor, Nurses and support staff. My heart felt Thank You to you all. Just wish I could give you 10 Star rating.

This hospital has doctors who harass the patients, the mental health ward consists of medicating and ignoring patients not to mention the way the nurses behave when it come to hospital staff. You’re better off doing surgery at home

Wonderful, caring staff. Most efficiently run. All appointments on time or earlier. I will use their services again should the need arise. I completely recommend this health centre for an easy transition through the medical course of treatment.

They took great care of my mum when she was in here. The nurses were amazing. Parking situation could be better, but that goes for all hospitals.

Andrew Gamelin

By far the worst hospital I've ever been to hands down.

For faster, more efficient services, especially in the emergency room, I recommend taking a 20 min drive to Petrolia.

My husband recently had a stroke at our home in Brights Grove. Fortunately I recognized it immediately and within 35 minutes he was in the hospital being treated by an excellent team of physicians, nursing and technical staff. His rapid recovery following the "clot buster" was amazing and despite having lost his speech and use of right limbs he was back to normal within two hours. He was then transferred to ICU for 24 hrs and then the stroke ward for 24 hrs. He was discharged exactly 48 hrs from the onset of his stroke. He has now completely recovered and is back to full health. I cannot thank all the staff involved in his care, enough, for their attention, care, professionalism and friendliness and for sending my husband back for me! As a retired RN myself, I know we, in the health sector, can receive very negative feedback at times. All I can say is that I would have no hesitation in recommending Bluewater Health to anyone for excellent care & treatment. A sincere thank you to you all. Sandy Crump-Dawson

I have been to this hospital on numerous occasions and have yet to experience one visit where i am not treated like a job and maybe instead like a human being. If I'm coming into emergency at 2am I obviously don't want to be there either. The difference is when I am at my weakest and most vulnerable, I should feel safe and secure in the hands of these people but I don't. Eyes are rolled. 6-8 hour wait room times and another 4-5 to see the doctor once taken back. You will have to beg the staff to believe your pain level. Chit chatting it more important clock work. I had an extremely sick baby. I ask a staff member for help cause he is growing up all over the emergency and I was pointed in the direction of towels. I've gone and seeked treatment for a kidney stone I was wrongfully diagnosed while pregnant as an infection. The doctor gave me NO comfort in the medication he gave me to the point I went to another city and got a proper diagnosis of the stone. These people are here for one thing and one thing only. A pay check. You have to seriously debate how sick you or your kids are before deciding on whether coming to this hospital is worth your time. Chances are you'll recover in the waiting room waiting to get in to see the doctor. Or you will at least be more comfortable suffering at home until 9am when you can call and beg your family doctor to get you in asap. As I am literally in the waiting room now going on the 3rd hour and not a single person in a room of 15+ people, have been called back to see the doctor. In over 3 hours! Not one. A teenage girl was screaming in agony and the mother had to bang on the glass for the nurse to pay attention and get her some help. Funny how they were able to get her in speedily once alerted people were suffering right in front of them. This place is a joke public care center.

Took my wife in for a knee procedure in the day surgery dept and felt that all in all it was a positive experience. Hospitals are stressful to me at any time. From finding parking to getting to where you have to go for your ordeal. But overall we were looked after in a kindly and caring manner and for that I am grateful. Thanks Ursulla.

Wish I could give a 0 star rating. Everyone besides management and doctors are great here. If you have a serious problem, get a diagnosis in London Ontario instead. All doctors in Sarnia must have been D students and recruited for this city or something. If you do not wont to be properly diagnosed or even die prematurely, then go to Bluewater Health!! Biggest healthcare joke on the planet!!

November 9 at 6:00 am was my very first visit to your hospital from london . From the time we arrived to the time we left very impressive. Every single staff we met was helpful, supportive, optimistic. Dr Bosenblum and team thank you for an amazing experience i feel my surgery was a great sucess because of the enviroment your hospital employees provided. Excellence!

Some of the doctors and nurses are the most vile and arrogant people that I have seen, the mental health unit especially. Zero compassion as my family watches another family member slowly die from mental illness.

MIke K

Treated with the care i needed

Mike Quigley

The worst emergency department. Extremely long wait and rude and lazy staff
