You have all the opinions of people like you who bought the products and services of Lakewood Medical Centre (Doctor) in Saint Boniface territory (Canada).
At the moment the business has a rating of 2.4 stars over 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is really scarce, and it's based on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the evaluation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Doctor is classified in the category of Medical clinic.
Friendly doctors and staff. I never wait long for my appointment. They're a "one stop shop"-have lab, EKG, other specialists, walk in clinic. I'm very happy here and have no complaints.
This practice has the worst system for making and/or changing or cancelling appointments i have ever come across. They NEVER answer their phones; the robotic system they have that answers goes on and on and on giving completely useless info. You end up going to an extension that they then tell you no longer exists and you have no clue which doctor you have left a message with. The doctors are always on holiday so you never end up getting to see the same doctor twice. My advice to anyone looking for a new doctor; do not go to Lakewood Medical; it is too frustrating.
Dr. Sakla threatened me. She said that if I did not get a particular test, she would drop me as a patient.
Love my sons doctor (: he's a very good doctor!
The pediatrician's receptionist is very disrespectful. I was desperately waiting for 20 mins and she did not even look at me. Then my 7 year old girl and I went to the other reception. There the receptionists were so kind and gentle and the doctor too!
My family has always received outstanding service from this clinic. Waits are always minimal, the receptionists are very helpful, and work really hard. My GP Dr. Salah Iskander provides excellent health care, is very patient and very kind. His receptionist is always very proficient, and has helped me out several times. When I need to bring in my kids for a quick visit we usually ask for Dr. Emhamed, who is always great with my kids, and does really thorough examinations. I love it that they have a full work up lab, and all the technicians are great at taking blood! The washrooms are always clean. Someone in another review mentioned it was dirty, and this has not been my experience going to this clinic for over 10 years now.
My doctor always rushes me and never takes time to talk about my health concerns. She gives me a questionnaire to fill out, leaves the room, and then returns and usually give me a higher dose of medication. If you go here, do not go with dr. M Sakla
My own doctor Suzanne Iskander as well as receptionist staff have always been professional and accommodating in my interactions with them. A hard working staff.
There's four different reception desks so it can be a bit confusing which reception to go to at first. However staff are friendly and seeing our pediatrician has been quick and a pleasant experience.
The staff is fine, however calling the Clinic is a nightmare as they rarely pick up and I have phoned them 10 times and they still haven’t answered my calls.
I’ve been coming here for years and watch the quality go down my doctor (sakla) treats you like you’re meat and her receptionist Jackie talks down to you. I came in for an infected and inflamed lymph node today that is not a sign of Covid it is not an upper respiratory infection Jackie of course being “better” than I am tells me to leave get on the phone with health links and sit. if you’re looking for a family doctor I strongly urge you to look somewhere else because here you are not a patient your meat. (edit) i ended up having a severe case of mono and was nearly hospitalized so once again i URGE you to walk over to walmart across the street and go to the clinic there.
All they are missing is a conveyor belt. They are interested in seeing as many patients and paying as little attention to each as possible. I'd give 1 star but efficiency is sorta a strength, I guess.
Dr. Sidarous is a amazing doctor!! She really listens to you. She is kind and really is a great doctor! What I like about lake wood is that it really has everything in the facility ! Also the receptionist Darleen is great and friendly! I’ve always been seen on time and never had a problem here.
Don't go to this medical clinic. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful staff. I hear the doctors and receptionist staff openly making fun of patients past illness or why they were there to see the doctor that day, which is illegal. I went there for a second opinion from my family doctor and was told by Dr. Sam Elkams that I can't do that, and I can only see my family doctor. He refused to examine me or order sample tests. When I said I would report him; he replied "Go Ahead". This Doctor should lose his licence for his lack of duty of care. I encourage others to report this Doctor and / or any other Doctors and this Medicial Clinic to Manitoba Health & the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Nothing will change or improve without making these Doctors accountable for their actions towards all of us.
Very disappointed about the service today. Waited 70 min for a flu shot today. I finally left the building as it was too crowded. I asked if I should wait in my car and they said no you'll be soon. I watched the room turn 3 times and got the hell out of there. Then I called back and was treated poorly and no apologies or sorry we missed you.
Website and answering machine say opens at 8 on Sunday's. They randomly decided to open at 9 instead today. A dozen sick people standing in line outside in the heat for over an hour this morning. Staff was not even apologetic. Guess all you can do is show up and hope they are open when they say they'll be.
If you need something quickly looked at, this is the place for you. Especially if you're attending as a walk in. This is the fastest office in the city (In my experience), and the doctors are very thorough and for those in the LGBTQ+ Community, they do not judge or ask inappropriate questions. Highly recommended.
Terrible service! Even if you have an emergency case....they are always busy and offer an appointment for next week... When you come....they give you just Advil....?! I can take it by myself...No one cares! No help!
I go to see Dr. Sidarous and she is FANTASTIC. but her receptionist Darlene on the other hand is the most disprespectful person ive ever encountered. she makes me feel uncomfortable when im there and when I call in she is extremely unprofessional, rude, unapproachable and yells at me from time to time over the phone.
My doctor is great but the receptionist is so rude and intimidating.
I've been to this office for 10 years and I've never had any problems with Dr. Salah Iskander or my receptionist Jackie. The wait can be long sometimes but I don't mind since socialized healthcare makes up for the wait.
A bad experience every visit there!!!
We arrived around 11:am SaT. Oct 21.The staff/doctor, sorry I don't recall their names, were fantastic and very caring. The doctor suggested going to UC @ The Vic and have them tend to my mother. Can't thank him enough for his directive and concern. Thank you very much.
Dr sakla has got to be the most unprofessional, rude, oblivious doctor i have ever encountered. My girlfriend has to pull tooth and nail to get her to even LISTEN to what she needs. We will be switching doctors, I have ZERO problems with my Dr, Dr roman. and i will be attending any appointments in the meantime WITH my partner. You should be ashamed of yourself Mary.
Wait times are long, but if you scheduling an appointment (often they can schedule it for the same day) it's great!
They mistakenly called me and were so rude. I feel sorry for current patients and people attempting to get medical service from their administrative staff. I don't understand how people in "helping professions" can speak to their patients and clients so disrespectfully. Just an fyi for all those seeking professional services here, I didn't even look for their help and was treated poorly. Lots of red flags in respect to their staff, and perhaps the business could provide personal and professional competency training to their front line people.
The pediatrician has NEVER been on time, or even close to it. Usually 1-2 hours later than the appointment time. Appointments are always rushed.
Receptions their are horrible, vey rude not welcoming at all, couldn't pay them to smile. Appointment or walk in expect a 2 hour wait minimum, so unorganized their, wont go back!
Receptionist for doc Emhamed is horrible and arrogant , she even hung up on half way talking.
I have always received top notch care at Lakewood Medical and Dr. Salah is the best!
Receptionist is rude
I'm currently sitting in the waiting room and I've decided today is my last appointment here. This is a shame because I like my doctor here but the reception is absolutely painful to deal with. Everything else about this place is good. The doctors all seem nice. The lab technicians are friendly. The facility seems very clean. But the reception is an area where improvements can be made. It wasn't like this when the clinic first opened but something has happened in the last year or two. Over the last little while, I've avoided calling for appointments because they make me feel like I'm wasting their time. Being rudely told "No, he does not work on Friday" as if I should have already known is off puting. I showed up today and reported to the front desk only to be met with cold glares and an unwelcoming greeting. "Name? I just need your last name, thanks ". Maybe there's something else at play here. Maybe they're being over worked. They do seem incredibly tired and it is a busy clinic. They could understaffed and feeling a lot of pressure from management. Who knows? I don't know and hopefully things turn around for them. Going to the doctor's is already a stressful situation for me and I'd rather go somewhere where I atleast feel welcome.
Waiting is long at this popular location but the doctors never fail to prescribe me the correct prescriptions. Went there recently and one receptionist was quite rude to asking a simple question from me.
Staff as well as docs listening here
Very up to date facility with on site x-ray and blood sampling. Online booking and website are reliable, check-in is simple. The doctor that I see is great. I would rate 5 except that the online system is inaccessible to some people and the telephone system can be long and frustrating.
My husband and myself applied to the clinic for a new doctor and my husband got accepted right away but myself even though we both went in to see a walk in doctor who gave me a prescription and ordered test for me. Because of the information that I put down on the form about having depression and anxiety.I was turned down because of that reason, ironic that I received the rejection letter 1 day after bell lets talk. This is discrimination and the emotional distress it caused me
When you can get in it’s not that half bad. Whenever I go, the Walk-In is always closed. Shows on website that they are open until 7pm. More than once I show up around 4:30-5:30pm and they are closed already. Otherwise pleasant interactions with the staff.
Excellent place! Never had to wait for more than 15 minutes to see my doctor. Dr. H. Girgis is so kind and knowledgeable and willing to help. Very convenient to have the in house lab. Reception desk is courteous and always willing to help. It is always great to get a reminder call for the appointments.
Great medical staff, have gone here since my old doctor moved out of province and always get treated with respect and attention.
Kicked my mom out but the doctor was the one yelling at her while she was talking in her regualr voice... smh
Unaccaptable wait times for patients with appointments. A clinic should never place walk ins above appointments but they do. Or they can't handle the work load they take on.
Just like most walk-in clinics, Lakewood medical is eager to get you in and get you out. I came in with a bum ankle looking to see if it was something serious. Receptionist was rude (Almost a given at any walk-in clinic) Saw a doctor, whom never introduced herself to me. She took one look at my ankle and sent me for a x-ray. She didn't touch it. She didn't ask how it happened. She didn't care. The x-ray tech asked me more questions as small talk than the doctor did. She sent me off to get an x-ray and told me I'd receive a call in the morning. Well I haven't received a call yet and I CANNOT get through to anyone through the number listed on google. Super unimpressed but honestly not surprised.
The secretaries must be sent home! They don't want to work, they talk to people in an impudent way, as if I came to her house !!!Wery insolent staff!!!
I never have to wait very long for a walk in or a appointment. My receptionist Bonnit is amazing and so is my dr Aziz. I’ve been a patient for over two years best clinic I’ve ever been too
I've had such a negative experience in this place a couple times now. The doctor has always been great and friendly but the receptionist is the absolute opposite. Half the time that I phone the clinic within the listed operating hours, no one would pick up -even when it's outside of the time that the machine says that they would be away for meal breaks. And in the occasion that someone does pick up, I've found the receptionist on the other line to always be unfriendly and totally unhelpful. I had a scheduled annual physical cancelled on me last minute without reason. This was very inconvenient already as it is because I'm quite a drive away and work full time so the day I schedule my appointments have to be planned ahead of time to be missing work and such. But I understand that things come up so I rescheduled for the next available time which would be a month later - putting me behind on my prescription pills because the receptionist refuses to consider my request of having my prescription faxed to a nearby pharmacy. She says I'd have to come in for that which i couldn't because the doctor wasn't in and I can't for another month like they said. Anyway come the rescheduled date, I had to call to cancel and I called as soon as I could and the receptionist said it would be a no show since I called last minute. I told her the line was unavailable the day before when I tried to call because it was a holiday. She replied with a tone, "Well you could've left a message." Which I was just expected to know somehow when the machine was saying that they're not taking any calls and mentioned nothing of leaving a voicemail. Totally unfair after they did the exact same to me last time without repurcussions or even a consolation. Definitely changing clinics now. Which is unfortunate because Dr. Sakla was a delight.
Horrible Doctor! Don't waste your time! He has. O problem wasting yours, he's one of those Drs that takes on to many patients and doesn't give accurate care for the ones he has. Just so money grubbing! I wouldn't recomend him to anyone and after being his patient for less than a year I quickly found a new GP.
I have gone here my whole life how ever it has definitely gone down in the care they give you depending on the doctors. Those that actually care for you have been there the longest and those that where the best left and started thier own practice. How ever you should know they did have a doctor essentially murder a patient and that's why my old doctor left. Tred with caution
I am a homeowner in Sage Creek and was declined when I applied become a patient at this clinic “based on my medical history”. Since the only information I provided was in relation to my recovery from alcoholism (13 years sober) I can only deduce that I was rejected based on my history of addiction. I would never attend this clinic for any reason and I plan on complaining to the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Waiting for my files to get transferred and after 3 weeks I came back and the receptionist said it's $40 to release my files? Why wouldn't they have informed me when I first asked them... It takes multiple attempts for them to successfully fax a prescription to my pharmacist. During my physical I said that my knee has been sore for a few months and the doctor said it's probably growing pains, I'm 33 lol I'm not growing anymore...
Unorganized. Would never recommend. I got a call for the receptionist saying I was due for my yearly physical. I booked it & was told to fast 12 hours as there will be blood work done. I get to the office & after waiting 30 minutes to see Dr. Boktor she says that my appointment is only to review my blood work results for a year ago. I don't know who would think to talk to their Doctor about the blood work from a whole year ago.... but they did not book me for the physical; which again was the original call I received. I ended up leaving and asking for my records because they would not accommodate me.
Doctors are good and appointments are usually on time. Other staff are horrible, rude and unhelpful. Won't call back when they say they will and give serious attitude if you as any questions. I went so far as to seek out a new doctor just so I didn't have to deal with them anymore.
This is where my regular doctor is and I often use the walk-in for a quick fix. Great doctors office! Lab and pharmacy in the same building. Clean. Only problem is it's a little slow if you come late in the day for the walk-in - like any walk-in is.
waited an hour and a half with a high fever and chest pains only to find out my appointment was cancelled, look else where for medical help.
I booked a meet and greet online. I waited for a confirmation as it stated they would get back to me. So I wait and wait. Finally the email comes back I was REJECTED. I thought I was so strange, who rejects a new patient? “ So I called them about a month later, and the woman on the other end just sounds like I’m such a time waster... anyways she tells me that I was REJECTED BASED ON MEDICAL HISTORY. What kind of gong show are they running over there ?? Just don’t even bother. They are so DISCRIMINATING, RUDE AND POMPOUS. Go look for another doctor somewhere else.
Friendly staff, after that the Dr. did much of nothing
Staff was rude and unprofessional. Waited 50 minutes for an ‘urgent appointment’ they had scheduled for me. Definitely do not recommend coming here.
My family doctor Dr.Moawad is great! He’s always nice and spends enough time with me during visits. Explains things thoroughly. He answers all my questions and never seems to be in a rush to move on to the next patient. I would give a 4 or 5 star just for him but the receptionist was so disrespectful! Everytime I am very stressful to speak to her and see her reaction. I feel bad for the medical centre.
Staff is rude, definitely don't think I've actually felt helped when I went for any doctors appointment, I'll be switching doctors. Id recommend training your receiptionists on not being rude cause they are killing the office
Long waits all the time. My doctor wouldn't actually address any of my issues even when I came with a list of symptoms and a list of all the medications I had been put on. When I needed a referral she would tell me I wasn't covered... Very frustrating when you are sick and aren't getting any answers. I switched doctors after not getting help for months.
We've had good experiences here but their approach to handling phone calls leaves much to be desired.
My Doctor is away on Holidays, more than she is in the office. Tried booking an appointment for my annual physical November 1st, and was told I would have to wait until December.
Receptionists completely unprofessional, they were eating chips at the front and as I walked up to the desk it was like I was the inconvenience... the doctors are good
They say they're open Sunday 8-12 I showed up at 8:40 and they're closed. Not impressed.
Every single time I come with an appointment, I end up waiting beyond what I should have to. For example having an appointment at 9am and still not seeing a doctor until past 10am is ridiculous and no one should have to have to schedule this around work. Edit: had a phone appointment yesterday that was TWO HOURS AND 45 MINUTES beyond my appointment time. Also with coming to the walk in, or my regular doctor I have never felt listened to or any quality in the service provided. Don't know why I still come here.
My doctor is the best I ever met
Good picture
Dr. Salah Iskander surgically removed two pilar cysts on my head (one in 2017 - one in 2020) and both of them have healed beautifully. I was nervous before the procedure but Dr. Iskander helped me feel comfortable. Thank you Dr. Iskander
Been misdiagnosed and made to feel my issues weren't important. sent me for blood work 6 times and only 1 shows up on E-Chart for my new family Dr. So inconsiderate.
I have received the worst treatment of my life at this clinic. The reception staff were rude and dismissive, and the doctor was arrogant and likewise dismissive. The only positive is the lab. This place has caused no end of trouble when dealing with insurance providers and WCB. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
My baby is 10 days old, and I still with the stitches and recovering. My appointment supposed to be at 1:40 pm, at 2:30 pm the assistant asked to take out her clothes (it was cold and the places darty), but we were waiting for the doctor until 3 pm. The doctor came almost didn’t look at her. In summary the place was darty, recepcionist was very rude and people smelling cigarettes. We had to wait 1:20 hour for the doctor, he seems knows nothing about the baby, and just wanted to go quickly. Horrible experience, I don’t indicate at all.
Terrible. Been misdiagnosed 3 times. Very unprofessional staff. Never feel card for. This place is just in it for the money. Not patient-focused whatsoever.
Horrible place, secretaries are the worst for 30 yrs…they have signs don’t bother us yet they will forget about your appointment every time…RUN FAR AWAY unless you like to spend 3 hrs waiting even with an appointment. Doctors are on a moving carousel here as well.
After a small incident at work I needed a walk-in clinic to get a tetanus shot and they helped me out with great service. I would recommend this clinic
The doctors themselves are great. The staff upfront is where we have difficulty.
I switched doctors after 15 yrs because he lost his compassion and taking time to just listen. I found Dr. S Iskander she is great takes her time with you and makes sure she gets it done I am so happy I changed doctors thank you. And her front girl is so friendly, and efficient. I am a very happy with my new choice.
Pediatrician is always 1 to 2 hours behind. Even if you have the first appointment of the day he walks in half hour late. Doesn't care at all.
My first appt with Dr. Moawad was this week and I was very impressed. He appears to be very caring and thorough. I am so pleased that a friend recommended him to me.
I just called Lakewood Medical Clinic and told Jackie, my family doctor receptionist, that I had ACL reconstructive surgery yesterday and I needed to talk to my family doctor as the surgeon was off today. She laughed at me and said he was not there and that I would need to walk in. I asked her if this was funny and she laughed again. Unbelievable. Thanks Jackie, real professional.
Wait times too long. Staff seem uninterested. The Walmart Medical across the road is much better. They are super quick there.
For someone who is on medication that warns me to stay out of direct sunlight and not get over-heated, I had a terrible experience waiting for blood work on Tuesday.I had to wait 1h15m outside in line just to get into the building, then another 1h45 min inside. Then to find out only 3 nurses were working out of 6 available stations. This is my doctors workplace for many years so I get all my blood work done here out of convenience. I HIGHLY suggest that this clinic change it's practices and staffing to what I hear many other clinics are working now. That if there is a considerable wait, patients will be checked in at the door for their waiting list and leave a cell phone number that will be contacted 10-15 mins prior to expected turn. Then patients can wait in the comfort of their vehicle, out of the weather until their turn. It would save congestion inside and outside of the clinic. Waiting patients won't even need to be in the parking lot waiting for their turn, they could go and get coffee or a snack at a nearby location. I saw many elderly people leave because of the treatment and conditions expected of them to wait for their turn and this could be drastically changed for better reviews.
My family doctor is in Lakewood Medical. Yes you still have to wait some of the time. But it is also great service and they take the time needed with you. If you are a patient there you also have shorter wait times as a walkin. They will do there best to get your Dr. to see you as a walkin when they can. There is Lab, xray, ekg, and a pharmacy on site. Making it very convenient for medical appointments.
Doctors are great here . But the receptionists are so rude over the phone or in person . And if you cant make a certain date the threaten to take you off as a patient its quiet a shame then need to get rid of them honestly make it a more friendly environment to walk into .
I have been taking my mother-in-law for 4 years now to Dr. Sakla. She is fantastic, because she is thorough and listens. Just recently I became Dr. Sakla's patient. Very happy with her. It's also helpful that there is a lab, pharmacy, and a walk-in clinic. Also Jacklyn who is Dr. Sakla's receptionist (and administrator), is fantastic! She is welcoming and very helpful. She has a lot on her plate, but she seems to manage well! Thank you Jacklyn and Dr. Sakla!
The physicians are good and understanding “the few that i have visited” But the receptionist are very rude and have attitude. I was once sitting down waiting for my turn and the lady asked an elderly patient to raise her voice.
Previous two visits my appointment had not been saved, resulting in an hour long wait each time. Also heard one of the receptionists making rude comments about a patient who had just left, very unprofessional
Generally I always had a great experience. This place has quickly become one of the most disorganized messes that I have ever seen!. Want to call and talk to someone? Good luck, that isn't happening. Want to get yourself a new doctor? Well dont press 241 as suggested, you will leave a message thats name and phone number for a doctor, not the new patient line.. oh and they wont call you back..I just need to speak to a doctor!
The only clinic in winnipeg where you will get the voice mail everytime you call for appointment with the pediatrician..and even with appointment you will wait for 30min-1 hour

I have been here multiple times and find this location and its staff to be wonderful :)
Let me start with the positives. My Doctor is amazing(Dr. Moawad). I have absolutely no issues with him at all. He's always been good to me. I also want to mention that I've never had to wait long when I have made an appointment to see him. Because of this, I've never felt the need to write a review, but my last visit was the absolute worst experience with these ladies so I just have to say something. The reception staff is absolutely horrible. Going to see the Doctor is never a pleasant thing to have to do so the front line should be warm & friendly. Most of the reception staff here have a permanent scowl on their face. They don't so much as look up and acknowledge you when you arrive and need to check in. This particular day, I arrived for my appointment and walked up to the desk. The receptionist didn't even look up while I stood there for about a minute, then picked up the phone and proceeded to make a call to another patient to set up an appointment for them. Let me reiterate that she was not on the phone when I arrived at the desk. She didn't even say I'll be with you in a minute. She just continued on with her day like I wasn't even there! When she finished with her phone call, she finally acknowledged me. I told her my name, which Doctor and what time my appointment was. She practically cut me off and told me to just have a seat for now. My appointment was for 9:00 and I had a meeting I had to be at for 10:00 so at 9:15 I went back to the desk and she again just continued on doing what she was doing and literally ignored me! Then the other girl sitting at the desk asked me if I had been helped. I said yes that I checked in and that my appointment was at 9:00. I asked how long it would be because I had a meeting at 10:00 that I had to attend. Then the original girl I had talked to pipes up and with a very rude tone said to me "No I didn't check you in. I asked you to have a seat because I was on the phone!" I proceeded to tell her(in just as rude of a tone) that she was not on the phone when I arrived and that she was also not on the phone the entire 25 minutes I was waiting and she had plenty of opportunity to check me in, but she either made a conscience decision not to or forgot about me entirely. Doctors & medical office staff are the first to demand common courtesy & respect(which they deserve); however, their patients deserve the same in return.
There isn't an option to talk to a receptionist to ask a question about the walk in. Please put a phone option on your automated phone message to save out of towners a trip.
Operation hours are not updated, the web page shows X ray and EKG open on Saturdays, I went to get those exams and the clinic's door has a sheet saying "No open"
They do NOT return calls. They state clearly they only want one voicemail left but you never ever recieve a call back and a no one evers answers the phone there!!! Not worth wasting your time!!!
There are usually long waits. The receptionist @ desk 2 is not friendly and she does not welcome the patients.
Receptionists are extremely extremely rude. Have zero customer service skills. The pediatrician dr.emmahmed comes across okay from birth, but I always felt like he was never really listening to me and my concerns with my son's development. My husband thought I was being too sensitive. But every appointment after I left with the feeling that he is sexist and dismissing what I am concerned with. Our last appointment was the last straw ... After waiting two hours past our appointment time because a bunch of walk ins went ahead if us due to their bad reception, he said I'm sorry I don't have time to write your son a prescription , this appointment was for a physical and we close at 3:00. ( His appointment was at 1:00)(but we didnt get in till 3:00)..they then told me it would be$40 to have my son's files to transfer to a new doctor after I said I no longer want him as our pediatrician. I gave it a go for 3 years there, now I am just mad at myself for not following my first instinct. Don't let the"yes my friend"fool you. Oh ya I forgot to mention the guy is always on vacation which screws up vaccine schedules for the first two years of your child's life.
Receptionist are very very rude inperson. I have never felt so guilty for asking a question, that could have been answered if they picked up the phone. This is my last time dealing with this walk-in. The few drs that where good jave moved on.
Incredibly rude receptionist and unclear hours. Drove for 30 minutes because its not posted their walk-in is closed on saturday and nobody answers their phone during the open hours. Somebody needs to update their hours.
This place was dirty the staff are rude and slow. They make it impossible to try and get your records.this is a horrible place to go and research some of the doctors you find some interesting things.
I just wish that some of the People working there were happier.
The receptionist are just yikes
The receptionists are so chatty. They don’t even acknowledge that there’s someone standing in front of them. They just keep talking to each other. It was my first time there and they didnt even direct me properly.”just go down the hall” she said down the hall to where. Terrible I just need a doctor badly otherwise I would go to a different clinic. They don’t even smile, it’s like you’re bugging them or begging them for help. Never had bad service like this before.
This place is so fantastic. They have all we need, everything: walk in clinic, pharmacy, lab... The staffs are very friendly, especially Jenny. My first time is 2 weeks ago, and the second time, Jenny called my name without any asking document. Wow
I love the complaints about the receptionists on the reviews; I'm definitely on board with this! Gave the benefit of the doubt with Lakewood Medical Centre, but the reviews are true! Not going to name any names for a particular person I dealt with; however, my first impression I had over the phone sounded like this woman didn't want to be there for when I was trying to book my first meet and greet with the doctor as I was in search of a new family doctor. The doctor was excellent, but the receptionist was not. Had been told by the doctor I had met to book an appointment to come in for a yearly exam. So here I went to the receptionist booked myself in, and I felt like I was a burden to her. I wanted to ask if everything was okay on her end, but I don't want to start anything - especially at 9 in the morning. A week later, met with the receptionist again, she never faxed out the documents when I requested it over the phone to help speed things up, so I ended up spending a good 10 minutes filling out the required information. I saw a bit of humanity in her when she was taking my weight and measurements... But when she was called in to be a witness for the exam, she could barely stand still, she's so fidgety, picking her nails, huffing and sighing -- which made me feel anxious. As much as I enjoy having the new doctor, I do not like the receptionist at all. I'll get my bloodwork done elsewhere, come back if something happens in the results, but I'll have to find another doctor somewhere else. :(
I am patient of this clinic for more than 10 years now. Customer service is depreciating everyday. Receptionists think they are the BOSS. Not friendly nor helpful. Doesn't understand that they are treating patients and should be handled with care and passion to help them. Very disappointing.
My doctor always listens. Waiting time is very short. Also I would like to say that the secretary my doctor has is fantastic. I used to do the same job & also nursed for years, she is extremely empathetic. My concerns are always addressed.
TERRIBLE! looking for a new doctor...mine retired...filled out application on line...apparently they did not receive it...tried to fill it out on line twice..,would not accept it..,went all the way there, filled out a application in person...Nov 6/17...i was told they would contact me in 1 to 1 1/2 weeks...called nov 29, left message...called again dec 4/17....left another message....still waiting for someone to call me back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND....
I’ve just transferred to this clinic and I am very happy so far . Dr. Aziz is a very patient and understanding doctor , who takes all my concerns seriously. The front desk have also been very nice .
Whenever we visit here the Medical receptionists were very RUDE. I THINK THEY WERE TRAINED AS tHEY WERE. I NEVER WANNA GO BACK OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. They shuould learn again from greeting at the decent college or institute.
Absolutely brutal. Been a patient at this clinic for over 15 years. All I need is a prescription refill, my dr is on holidays so I have to go through walk in for a scrip refill when it's on file, waiting for over 3 hours and will never be back. Will be changing clinics, too bad have a good dr here
Everyone here seems constantly annoyed at your presence. I showed up for my appointment to be told that the online booking system "sometimes works, I don't know". I couldn't verify my appointment before coming because the system was down. I was told my doctor doesn't even work on tuesdays, his assistant should have told me, come back tomorrow for walk in hours...how about no.
The receptionists at the front counter are definitely lacking customer service skills. They don’t acknowledge patients when they’re standing at the desk to be checked in. On a positive note, the doctors are wonderful.
Okay! so, I called today for the appointment and the receptionist talks like a robot lol!
Horrible social networking and liars. Everytime I show up when they have their hours posted as open (I even took photos this time of the open sign being on and being there at five before they supposedly closed at seven) Fix you're hours and be honest and don't lie about your hours to get more views in search results when I google "walk in Clinic OPEN"
Waited 2 and a half hours for a.walk in, then did not see a doctor at all since I was deleted from the que by the front staff. Leaving this office and will not return.
Awful place front desk staff where inconsiderate and unprofessional. Ended up calling a ambulance at the location.
The worst receptionists in the city. Will never understand how the rudest people decide to work in health care. Disgusting.
This place is a joke. The receptionists are rude and the doctors act like you are bothering them. I would recommend going somewhere else.
Why the reception are miserable unprofessional always mean I like my doctor but I don't want see those miserable people in the front desk
Never had a problem getting an appointment sometimes waits are longer than I expected. But welcome to the health care system. Full service clinic.
There is no one pick up the phone and then charge for the missed appointment. How to cancel it if nobody answer?????????????? very negative opinion about the service.
Such a waste of time going to this place.
This is a very poorly run clinic, but they obviously dont care. Their phone system didnt work for about a year, I go for a standing order blood test and the lab never has it, as for the other complaints about staff they would be correct, but these ladies are clearly under staffed. At Covid peak it was closed to most walk in patience, all phone calls. During this time the lab was open but they had people standing all together 3 feet apart in the lobby. Not thats just stupidity, why did you even close.
Called 3 weeks ago to make an appointment and never heard back. Gave a follow up call two weeks ago and once again directed to "Jackie's" voice mail. Still have not heard back.
I've been to this walk in x 2. Very efficient. Got in and out in < 60 minutes. The doctor was friendly, I did not feel rushed. All my questions were answered respectfully. Found a family doctor here as well. She did a thorough health history and again, I did not feel rushed. Appreciate the care these physicians, nurses and clerks provide here.
I know it's a walk-in. But terrible at estimating time. Started with half hour ended up two and half hours.
Receptionist is terrible, gave me the feeling of didn't care and don't want to answer my question at all! We were trying to do a walkin at 12:15pm January 26th 2019
This is a review of the walk-in portion only. As a doctor I never make diagnosis of my own family (Out loud at least). The wife went in with specific symptoms and was given medication. Unfortunately, the diagnosis could have been close, it was generalized, the medication given her completely baffled me as it did not match the symptoms or diagnosis. This would leave her dealing with the side effects of the medication with out any benefit. Needless to say, I can not recommend Lakewood Medical in good faith.
The receptionist needs training. They are so disrespectful.
