We consider ourselves very fortunate in having Dr. Bevan as our ND. After 5 long months of seeking the medical attention of a Paediatrician every 2 weeks with several blood tests for our son who had undiagnosed back aches and fatigue we felt very frustrated. It was then that we felt the need to seek a doctor we knew who would have time to spend analysing our son and his past blood reports(not just 5 minutes like past Paediatrician). Dr.Bevan would continuing seeing our son weekly, she would email me and keep close contact with us till she soon discovered an enlarged spleen and liver by palpation. Her quick decision to send us to McMaster was where we discovered our son had leukemia. We believe Dr.Bevan's constant care and follow ups allowed us to have a good outcome for our sons leukemia. With one more year of chemotherapy we continue to see Dr.Bevan for special leukemia diet suggestion. This aids in the support our sons heart and liver function during chemotherapy, something we did not realize would happen as a side affect. In August 2018, I contacted Dr. Bevan because I was having major gastrointestinal issues. Following Dr. Bevans protocol helped me take care of my SIBO-related symptoms within only a couple of weeks. Her knowledge of gut health was striking, she seemed to know all of my symptoms before I had even mentioned them! She even followed up with me several times after my appointment by email, to check in on me and attach helpful documents and meal plans.
