The girls upfront have been great with my husband and i. They smile and laugh with us. Dr. Dewet has helped us through an accident. Always willing to refer us to specialists. Takes time to hear us and explains to us when we dont understand. Even though havent seen him since covid. He still calls to make sure all good with our meds.

I've been a patient for 8 year's and never asked for anything due To circumstances beyond my control I called and asked if he would put my refills for my medication through for me just this one time I was told he probably would but it will cost me $25.00 at my next visit, he knows I'm on old age pension and I have to pay gas money to even get there, I feel the money is all he cares about not the patents needs I can't even discuss another issue I may be experiencing without a separate appointment it's time to a doctor that cares find

Arrived for my appointment 10-15 min early to find that the office was locked. Since schools were closed due to the freezing rain, I decided to call the office to confirm my appointment (my previous one was cancelled due to weather as well). The secretary spoke to me with the utmost disrespect as if I was putting her out by calling to confirm my appointment. Rather than simply advising me that the doors would be open momentarily, she chose to scold me in an offensively condescending manner for calling prior to the office opening hours. I was shocked by this treatment and said nothing in return. I chose best to ignore it and move on rather responding impulsively and stooping to her level. I entered the building a few min later and stood in line. No words were exchanged other than simple yes/no replies to questions. Before exiting the examination room Dr De Wett advised me that his staff told him that I was rude and hostile towards them! I was so dumbfounded I didn't even know how to respond. I had literally said NOTHING to this woman and now I was defending my character?!?! I left the office without scheduling anything. I would rather wait for hours in the ER then allow an old crotchety secretary to disrespect me. Shame on you Dr De Wett for allowing your staff to treat patients like that. I'm sure they are to blame for your dwindling clientele.

If you have hearing difficulties and require hearing aids I would not go to him as a doctor, I needed a form signed to get my new hearing aids and he refused this form needs to be signed by a doctor and he tried to refer me to an audiologist in font hill simply because he doesn't like the way they do them anymore.
