I have had a number of medical problems over the last year or so one of which led me to experience repeated infections in my foot. Three of them over the course of five months and I began to get worried about the chances of becoming antibiotic resistant. The cause of these as it turned out was that the bones in one of my toes had been severely damaged which caused me to meet Dr. Rittenhouse. Most of the doctors who had a chance to look at my case were in favour of amputation, a treatment Dr. Rittenhouse resisted. Amputation is a last resort and he tried everything before going along with an amputation. No one wants to lose a part of their body and for his fight to keep that from happening I am very grateful but when push came to shove he carried out the procedure and I am perfectly satisfied with the result. Two weeks after the operation I am fully mobile out of pain and living life as well as I had before the operation. Doctor Rittenhouse is a fine doctor and surgeon with a great “bed side” manner and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to his care.
